Quick and friendly service from the staff with a cabin style atmosphere that reminds me of some of the restaurants located up in the Tahoe region. Opening day always throws me for a loop, but this was the best opening day experience. The service was fast, and the food was fantastic. For this visit I went real basic and got a traditional bagel and cream cheese. The bagel is not overly chewy and has great flavor. The cream cheese was full of flavor, and there was plenty of spread. There are multiple chairs and couches, making it a quiet place for a work session or a coffee date with a friend. Speaking of coffee, they have Drink Coffee Do Shit, and this was my first experience trying it, and it was actually really great as well. read more

Tahoe Bagel Co is a welcome addition to Independence Square. I hadn't tried their original location but have tried a few other bagel shops in Reno looking for something close to the quality of a great Jewish Deli in my hometown. I'm thrilled that this egg bagel exceeded my expectations. Toasted perfectly with a nice crunch on the exterior but still soft inside with a generous amount of creamy cheese. They serve it sandwich style and cut in half so it's easy to grab and eat on the go. I also tried their Oatmeal Cookie iced latte which was a new flavor to me - tastes exactly like you would think. I got it half sweet and it was perfect for me. I'm lucky to be so close by every day but I would absolutely go out of my way to grab a bagel here. read more

I highly recommend the Proper Philly with Shaved Ribeye on a Hoagie Roll. Second the service was great, food came out quick and hot. The whole ambiance of the restaurant is great overall. I also recommend getting the Raspberry White Mocha, holy crap I don't drink coffee that much but the taste was awesome. Perfect amount of sweetness and a great taste of raspberry. We also tried the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on a Plain Bagel and it was HUGE. Could use a bit more flavor, but it was still good. This place definitely is up there with my favorites in town such as Desert Sun Bagels, My Favorite Muffin, and Stella. Definitely a good place to try. Coffee is ok, not the best but far from the worst. Would get the full 5 star but they're making one mistake that's happened twice now. They sell a "bakers dozen", but only give you 12 bagels. And next time to ask for light smear? It starts with the NJ Turnpike sticker on the drinks Fridge and culminates in the Taylor Ham and egg sandwich. The star for me though is Lox (smoked salmon) cream cheese and capers sandwich. Wow! It makes this Brooklyn boy happy. If they could only get a Jersey tomato. The staff is friendly and they move the busy line efficiently and professionally. Bagels were cold and not even toasted!!! I came in there the other day and got 2 bagels w cream cheese. got my food and the bagels were room temperature, not even toasted, with cold cream cheese. So I went back they re made it for me and again you couldn't find a single sign of it ever being toasted.. 2nd bagels were lukewarm with cold cream cheese. Only thing positive I can say is that they were all nice, So idk it could not even be their faults and just whoever the heck is showing them how to make these bagels but I could have recreated the finished product by taking a bagel, cutting it in half, slapping fridge cold cream cheese on and nuking the thing for 15 seconds.. unreal read more

Boots!!! Honestly best bagels that I have ever had. I have been there twice, first time was a couple weeks a go and it was not terribly busy in there. I had a build your own breakfast sandwich on a regular everything bagel. It was bomb!!! The egg was perfect, the bacon was perfect bagel was perfect. We took some bagels for home. They were amazing to have through the week. Today we went back for more! We saw the parking lot was significantly busier than last time. We could hardly walk into the building! Woooow the line was like out the door ya'll. Everything in there was perfectly clean. The line was long but the employees were slaying the house down. The line moved fast! e got tons of bagels to go for our whole family. We also got some food again. I got the back to life with ham and bacon my partner got the western. Back to life was a 13/10 western also 13/10. Ya'll I live and die for these bagels. Shout out to the girlie pop up front with the most wonderful customer service spirit! I just made it in for the first time last weekend. My son and I are gluten-free and dairy-free. I dont know anywhere else we can have a bagel with cream cheese. I had the turkey club on the gluten-free bagel and subbed the ranch for the vegan cream cheese and no bacon. The cashier was incredibly knowledgeable about the ingredients, which doesn't happen often. That was really a comfort for us and made ordering super easy.
