Haven't been here in years and decided to try it again. The fish quality is great and the Yamato Roll was my favorite. The staff is super friendly as well!! Went in on a Wednesday night and it was basically empty except for togos which was nice. Great place to go I can't wait to try more on their menu.

Taiko in Folsom carries real crab, fresh Wasabi, and sashimi cut to perfection. Book their VIP Room at no extra cost. It's a luxurious, romantic experience for parties, friends, and dates. I love their brown rice hot tea, poke salad, and sashimi options.

We have been to Taiko Sushi several times. It is one of our favorite sushi restaurants in Folsom. Food and service are excellent, and the quality is consistent.

The place was clean with ample parking in the front. The waitress was very nice and the menu was simple. I got the Lion King roll and a bento box. The lion King roll was okay and so was the bento box. The teriyaki salmon was cold and the sauce was too sweet for my liking. They offer reasonable price for their food and the staff there are really nice. This is a good place for lunch when in the area.

Food was delicious. Came during happy hour and was offered a free beer. Service was fast and friendly. I was greeted at the moment I entered the door. The ambiance was filled with music and sports shows. When I received my order, they even thru in some free miso soup. Thank you for a wonderful experience

Always love this place. Had chirashi, sake and beer. Fish tasted fresh and the rice was awesome. I like that it's kinda tucked away, was quiet with a nice atmosphere inside. Sat at the bar had a great time. Also they have a service robot! Check it out!

Ordered the boat which included 8 pieces of sashimi and three rolls of your choice for $62. A great deal considering each roll is already between $16-19. There is happy hour everyday from 4-6 pm. Our server was great and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a like warm in the restaurant, but it was also 100+ degrees outside that day. We were looking for a place to cool down for dinner. Womp. Womp. Womp. The sashimi was good, but was served at room temperature. Not sure how I feel about that. The rolls were typical sushi rolls... Nothing to run home about. But, if you like super saucy rolls, this is the place for you.

Came here for the first time yesterday & we were so pleased! It was happy hour & they had great deals for both food and drinks. We got greeted & sat very quickly & all the staff was so nice & attentive. It was also pretty clean from what we could tell & I love the fish decor on the ceiling. We ordered Pepper Fin, Jalapeño Bombs, Catalina Roll, Rock n Roll, Kids Salmon Teriyaki. No complaints for everything, it was all great.

Amazing food and service, celebrated a birthday here and Bell the manager gave us great customer service on a Thursday night. We ate the signature Taiko ramen, sashimi plate and a bunch of sushi rolls... all were great.

First time visiting, and this has quickly become one of my favorite spots to eat in Folsom. The place is charming, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the sushi is absolutely phenomenal--some of the best I've ever had!!!!!

Looking around yelp for a great sushi place in my area and found this delightful restaurant. At first glance as we walked in it seemed like we might have not have good service, but staff quickly jumped in and our wonderful waitress Debbie, handed us menus. Debbie, took our orders and within minutes we received our meals. I ordered the crystal Shrimp roll (Crunchy Shrimp, cream cheese and spicy crab salad topped with avocado, sweet sauce, and spicy mayo) and it was delicious! I also have the miso soup, which was probably the best Misso soup I have had anywhere. I also wanted to mention that the restaurant was decorated really cute and I really liked the atmosphere and the beautiful artwork of metal fish plated decor. We will definitely return ASAP.

Since it wasn't very busy when we arrived, we were seated right away. The dining room is fairly large, with a mix of tables, booths, and counter seating. Each table has a tablet for electronic ordering, but we decided to go old-fashioned and order through our server. We started with a large hot sake and six pieces of gyoza, asking our server to hold the entrées until we finished. The sake hit the spot and paired nicely with the gyoza. The gyoza tasted good but was just a bit harder than we'd like. For the main meal, I ordered a bento box with nigiri sushi and tempura, while the others chose a salmon teriyaki bento box and a Spicy Yellowtail Roll. My nigiri tasted fresh and nicely prepared. I also tried a piece of the Spicy Yellowtail Roll and found it to have a nice flavor profile. The salmon teriyaki was clean and sweet, with a natural salmon flavor, and was tender and juicy. The portions were generous, making for a satisfying meal, and everyone enjoyed their food, although my companions thought the tempura was a bit too oily. Despite the slightly firm gyoza and oily tempura, the good sake, generous portions, and relaxed atmosphere made for a very enjoyable lunch. The highlight for me was sipping the remaining sake and enjoying the nigiri.

Taste is subjective, and what one person finds delicious, another may not. However, there are certain universal aspects of dining, such as customer service, cleanliness, communication, and overall hospitality, that every restaurant should strive to deliver. My reviews reflect the complete experience, not just what's on the plate. We decided to try Hasu Teriyaki & Sushi in Folsom for the first time and brought the kids along. Unfortunately, the experience got off to a rough start. When we walked in, there were several open tables, but no one greeted us or explained whether we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. A female employee saw us but didn't provide any direction, so we picked a table ourselves. After waiting for a bit with no acknowledgment, I had to get up and grab menus on my own. We spent about eight minutes deciding what to order (never easy with kids), but still no one came by. After another several minutes, I finally walked the few feet to the register and asked, "Are we supposed to order here or at the table?" The response was simply, "Yes, order here." After placing my order, I was immediately prompted to add a tip before receiving any service, which is something I personally find frustrating. Then I grabbed our cups to fill our drinks myself, only to find the ice machine was out of ice. At that point, it felt like we were striking out on every opportunity for a good first impression. It appears there's only one employee handling both the register and the dining area, which may explain some of the confusion. If that's the system, it would really help to have a sign letting customers know to seat themselves and order at the counter. There are only about seven tables inside, but without any guidance, the dining experience is confusing for first-time visitors. Once the food arrived, it was presented nicely. I ordered the Rainbow Roll and Dragon Roll, and visually they looked great. Unfortunately, I found the flavors to be underwhelming. The sushi was very mild, and even the wasabi had almost no heat. I added far more wasabi than I normally would, yet it barely had any kick. For someone who really enjoys sushi, the overall flavor just didn't stand out. The kids' non-raw rolls were also just average. To her credit, the employee did check on us twice after the food arrived, and she was friendly. I think she recognized that I was frustrated after spending roughly 15 minutes in the restaurant without any acknowledgment or explanation of how ordering worked. Overall, the experience wasn't terrible, but it wasn't one that makes me eager to return. Between the confusing service, lackluster first impression, and sushi that was simply average, I'd probably look elsewhere next time.
