They are fast, they can do appointments or walk ins. Very professional and polite. Two years ago my jeep would not have passed emissions due to something done by a mechanic. They told me what it was, then spoke with the mechanic for me. I took my jeep back to the mechanics, he fixed the problem (wrong part) free of charge, then back to TOS to pass. That's because this Midas is always packed! Who the hell goes in to a mechanic shop an hour before they close? That's a d*ck move. This isn't Bed Bath & Beyond where employees sit on their phones all day. This is a place where physical and mental labor is taking place. I mean that in that best way possible, they provide honest service and work diligently until the job is completed. If you have the chance, make an appointment. If you can't make an appointment, do what I do, use their (after hours) drop off box located out front. There are envelopes with information you'll need to write in/notes section. I just dropped off my baby (4Runner) last night at about 9pm. They were booked throughout the morning BECAUSE PEOPLE USE THEM FREQUENTLY DUE TO HONESTY AND HARD WORK. So I was patient and received my phone call at 11am-ish. My car is now next up, Max always tells me when he believes can stand to be maintained for a little longer and what absolutely has to be replaced/fixed. This isn't a "shady" shop and I trust them completely. They've worked on over 5 cars for me. Everyone there is so nice and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I recommend this place to anyone in need of any form of mechanic work, it'll save you time and money. One more thing, I took my receipt from Midas and called around to see what people would quote me compared to them. I would advise the team that if there is one car causing a huge pile up in one of the bays, that the next car gets as much attention as possible My brother was 2nd in line for the day but had 4 other cars get completed in other bays because of the car in front of him. When he finally got in, the crew was more focused on the other bays so he sat there for another 5 or so minutes waiting for something to happen while the crew was focused on the two other cars that technically were there at least 40 minutes after he initially got there. The guy at the counter said I would be next, less than 10 minutes, and it would be $78. I told him I saw coupon online and it says you get $10 off for a smog and he told me he could only do $5 off for a total of $73; I asked why he couldn't give me the price that was advertised which was still $30 more than the other smog place I was at last (that was closed when I went by today) and I showed him the price of $48 including CA certificate but the guy/employee didn't answer me. Instead he then asked me how much my car was for sale, etc. like a used car salesman...when I saw a man on crutches walking up to the door so I went and held the door open for him so he could get inside... as there was no way to get up to the door and open it with 2 crutches. Next the employee left to go out and help the man on crutches so I waited in lobby, having to stand as I could not sit due to recent injury; after he went outside and helped the man in the crutches hook up a Uhaul trailer, etc. then he came back inside and I asked if he was able to smog my vehicle and showed him a photo of the CARB E.O. numbers I had for the exhaust parts that had been replaced a few years ago and if I needed the paperwork for it which I had at home and he said no, just the number; I said ok great. Then the guy said hold on, let me pull this truck out real quick then I can do yours (truck was the older gentleman's that was waiting in the lobby) but then the guy/employee did not come back inside; instead I watched him pull in a dark gray Prius, for a man that was of a different ethnicity/race than I was and who was not physically disabled as I was; and who never even came inside the lobby. As I walked towards the door, the older gentleman said you were next; I replied I know I guess the guy lied and he's made me stand too long on one bad leg (knee) for 21 minutes now so then I left the establishment. The owner of this business should be absolutely ASHAMED! The owner should hire a competent and honest employee that cares and accommodates persons with disability so they are ADA compliant per CA code requirements, otherwise this establishment should not be allowed to do business in CA. If the employee was the owner, the business should be closed.
