    Taipo melt chicken

Visited over the weekend during lunch hours and the indoor dining/bar area was closed but was able to take a look inside. The interior is impressive, with a bar-forward design that feels elevated compared to the outdoor service area. I imagine the indoor menu and drink selection are more extensive, and likely plated with more attention to presentation. The outdoor menu focuses heavily on combo-style offerings, giving it more of a quick-service feel. I ordered a combo that included chicken chow mein, fried rice, typo melt chicken, steamed chicken momo, and fries with spicy mayo. Started with the Taipo melt chicken, this is essentially a larger, fried momo. It is a decent portion (2) and crispy on the outside, but conceptually it is simply a jumbo momo rather than something distinct. Not bad, just not particularly innovative. The steamed chicken momo is where expectations are naturally higher. Momo is foundational in Nepali cuisine and often sets the tone for the entire meal. Unfortunately, this version was average. The flavor was fine, but it lacked the depth and balance that makes a truly standout momo memorable. It did not miss the mark entirely, but it also did not distinguish itself. The chicken chow mein and fried rice were solid. Both were well-seasoned & satisfying in a straightforward way. The fries were crispy and held up well, and the spicy mayo complemented them nicely. Service was efficient and friendly, and the outdoor seating made for an easy, casual dining experience.

This was a complete delight. It was empty on a Saturday at 7:30 but we loved it more for the intimate experience we received. Staff was happy to be there, proud to have their work photographed, and ready to help another patron take videos with the bubbles. I came here as a birthday splurge for my mother and came away with her feeling like she had experienced something truly special. The drinks were not cheap but you were certainly getting your money's worth with taste and experience. Each cocktail we ordered seemed better than the last somehow. Maybe one day we can try the gold $50 one but it simply wasn't in our May budget so we saved it for next time. The chicken momo was out of this world and perfectly paired with a curry sauce, but it should be no surprise it was so good when the front of house is a restaurant all its own. The bar was dark but not so much that the menu was useless, the music was incredible, and the decor was otherworldly. Taipo has definitely accomplished what they set out to do!

So freaking cute!!!! We came here for a drink while waiting for our table at a nearby restaurant. I love that it was a speakeasy and you could just walk right in! We were seated and served immediately! I got a drink that tasted like mango, my apologies I don't remember the name, but it was amazing! It was so beautiful! Instagram worthy. They even came by and dusted glitter all over it. The staff were going stone and blowing bubbles in the air for aesthetic. This was such a fun random speakeasy for our night!

@taipoarlington is such a Nepalese treat!!! Located in Downtown Arlington, TX! I tried their Keema Noodles & Fried Rice! My fave & go- to lately has been their Keema Noodles with Tofu & Veggies! Apparently, Keema Noodles is a South Asian comfort food in many households. Equating to eating Spaghetti in many African American households! Traditionally, it's made with Minced meat cooked with veggies. But, I just get the tofu & veggies! I've been to this restaurant three times already! & I highly recommend!!! They also have a speakeasy with a bar located inside as well! #NepaliFood #Nepalese #Keema #SouthAsia #ArlingtonTX

I visited the hidden bar in the back of Taipo around 9pm on Saturday night. We got seats at the bar and I was amazed by the grand details and sculpture. Sitting that close to the bar I was able to notice all the dust on the bottles and around the bar top. I suggest routine dusting, since it's so visible with the black back drop. I had a smoked Himalayan old fashion. It was good, however my ice melted faster than expected. The bartender and server were very pleasant, but extremely busy, causing long wait times.

We walked in and Reysham our awesome Nepali bartender welcomed us! The ambiance & the service excellent and the food are more like appetizers but pretty good. I like the samosas a lot, we ordered it 2x. The cocktails are scrumptious. Sexy hip Spot with fantastic house music! Happy our neighbors referred us to check it out for date night. Want to come back with our friends on a Friday or Saturday night. Perfect for birthdays, girls night out, after work get together.. price is decent. Perfect cool spot for Arlington in Tx.

The restaurant was cute and the food was good. If you are bringing kids, keep in mind the food can have some spice. It's nice to try a local restaurant with personality. The service was fast and the employees were friendly. I highly enjoyed the spicy mayo sauce with the fries and chicken sandwich. I did not go to the speakeasy portion because it was closed. The lobby and bathroom were clean. You can find free parking near the restaurant since it is in downtown Arlington.

Simple menu with tasty food, definitely give them a try! Noodles, dumplings, & then some! We had the butter chicken & pan seared momo. I think there were 8-10 each order? The dumplings are a pretty good size, maybe like a 2-3 bites to finish each one. Both were pretty good, I liked the pan seared ones better. Great texture on the wrapper, it wasn't over cooked & the fillings were savory. They offer a variety of dipping sauces & some refreshing drinks. We had some kind of punch & lemonade, the lemonade will make you pucker but it's good! Service was fine, not bad not good, just fine. Food came out hot. Cute place, bright inside with all the mint/teal colors but totally my favorite. It is small in the front area, which is more casual, maybe 4-5 tables at the most? I believe there's a nicer area in the back but I think it's a bit more fancy, we didn't go to that area. We just wanted some good eats & that is what we found!

This is a cute speakeasy! The food is always freshly made and the cocktails are tasty. I like the fried momos. The servers don't rush you and will take time to answer questions about the menu.

Bartenders were friendly and quick with service. The food was much more casual, but good! enjoyed the tofu stick the most, wish there was a bit more sauce. The drinks were their selling point for me, cute and matched the beautiful vibe of the location

Definitely the cool spot to be if you want to hang out with friends, have some drinks and talk. The ambitious so chill and it is not too loud in there. What really grabs your attention is that is actually kinda hidden where you take the 'secret' door to the bar area. The drinks were delicious and splendidly presented. They make it fun by spritzing glitter or busting out the bubble gun.

The ambiance and incredibly talented bartender Javiar made our experience fun. I'd go to Taipo just to watch all the exotic drinks being made. It'd be great to see during Happy Hour. He's a great host and entertainer. The food was nicely seasoned as individually requested. We shall be back and have told others to check it out.

Food was terrible super salty no flavor masked the actual taste of food by just loading it with chili powder waste of money.

My daughter lost her first tooth at that pub, such good memories of years past. There are still Guinness signs hanging behind the bar. Seeing those old signs brought a single tear to my eye. One door closes and another opens. The restaurant that now calls the old pub their new home is great! All is good with the new place, you might even say great. The interior is not that of a pub anymore. It has been completely redone and the dining room is quite nice. I wouldn't call it a quiet cozy little romantic restaurant, but it could be if that's what you need. I would be willing to take my kiddos to the new restaurant, as long as the six-year-old boy is acting like a human on the day we decide to go. There is a full bar too. I feel that anyone can stop in for any occasion a fit right in. I don't remember the names of the dishes that my wife and I had for dinner but the food was very good. We kept it simple and we both had chicken dishes. If you want to step out and explore culinary culture they offer many appealing options. The food was fresh and light. The spices that they use are aromatic and flavorful. I am guessing that there is a strong Nepali influence. The beauty of the restaurant scene in Arlington is that there is so many different authentic cuisines from very specific regions. If you wanna have Indian food in Arlington you have to consider what kind of Indian food you want. If you go to downtown Fort Worth an Indian restaurant is an Indian restaurant. This little restaurant is a good representation of what Arlington restaurants have to offer. We will go back, soon.

Our server was very friendly, and excited to find out it was my wife's first experience with Indian/Nepalese food. The Naan was perfect. The Murg Rara was very well seasoned and balanced, but could have used a little more heat for my taste. The pan fried chicken Momo's were fantastic and I throughly enjoyed the chutney they were served with. We did order a side of Raita as a milder sauce. The tika was excellent and the portion was large. Enough that we took over half of it home. The dining room was clean, modern, and inviting. We hadn't left the restaurant and were already talking about what to order on our next visit. Can't wait to go back! A true gem of a restaurant.

I really enjoyed the vegetable momos I got here--the flavor and crunch from the onions was so pleasant, and there was a hint of bitterness in the flavoring which I surprisingly didn't mind. It was flavorful and so delicious and it was amazing with the sauces on the side. I also ordered the himalayan vegetarian thali set, but since this was my first time trying a thali set I'm not sure how it compares in general. It was a nice experience but I only really loved the curry with mushrooms. However, I had this later as leftovers and it surprisingly tasted even better that way. We also tried the paneer tika masala and I'm so glad we got that. It was delicious, full of flavor, and went really well with the garlic naan. I also liked how generous the one order of naan was.

I've had their momos with Akbare chili (that Nepalese fire pepper), and when you tell them to crank the heat, they actually do it. Not fake spicy--this is the real deal. Their butter curry momos are also fantastic. Rich, flavorful, and perfect balance with the heat if you go all the way up on spice. Pro tip: order a side of rice. That sauce is too good to waste, and you'll want something to soak it up. Momo Bros is absolutely where it's at.

I picked up the following momos: chicken butter tikka; Akbare porken; veg chili; and veg butter tikka. I also bought an order of potato chili. Everything was packed with flavor, pungent, and spicy. The potato chili is now made with French fries, as opposed to chopped potatoes. I couldn't even ding them a star for that because the sauce and spices on the fries were amazing. I'm not eating meat right now, so I love that they have lots of vegetarian options. This spot is pickup only since it's inside the "Cowboy 11," a convenience store. I've always been too busy smelling the yummy food to pay much attention to the store. Oh, and I guess if you don't mind sitting on a small stool, technically, you could eat your food in there. There were 2 young me working there today. They were friendly, so service is great. Dumplings (momo) are delicious and filling here. I've also had the chapote and pani puri, and I highly recommend that as well. You can easily order online via zing. As soon as you see that Cowboy 11 sign, you're in the right place for good food.
