It's such a nice surprise to see authentic Taiwanese food in Phoenix! Their menu is quite extensive with so many Taiwanese dishes. There's even karaoke in the main dining room. The owner told us that they are expanding and will serve banquet style food with private rooms in the next building. They'll have an additional 60-80 seats. Service was attentive. But it was odd that when we paid cash, the server asked us how much we want to tip before she went to get the change. Will definitely visit again when we are in the area.

We were excited to try this spot but was quite disappointed. Their menu changes often and is updated on a white board so couldn't try their beef noodle soup like we wanted after driving 30 minutes to try it. Didn't really communicate how to order - told us to read the board, thought we would order at the cashier near the board but told us to sit down and someone would come. Seems like a better spot to order large dishes for family style - we were the only couple there, other tables were filled with larger parties. Braised pork rice $9 - not enough sauce but overall tasty. Price was fine. Popcorn chicken $9 - crispy but not much flavor. Fried basil was a good touch but the ton of minced garlic kind of masked the basil flavor Oyster omelette $18 - biggest disappointment for my husband who grew up in Taipei. Was more of just toppings and egg - should have a glutinous touch with tapioca or sweet potato flour but it was all egg. Price quite high for this too We also ordered a veggie dish but saw them deliver it to a different table. They said they didn't order it but started eating it lol so they kept it. The staff did take it off our tab after we let them know. Overall we wouldn't return. If you live down south, there is another casual Taiwanese restaurant that we much prefer with better service too.

This place is authentic Taiwanese and I mean authentic. They have big portions perfect for family style! They also have karaoke which is always fun! Ask for Momo, she will take great care of you!

Just a quick review. We finally made it out to Taiwan Bistro and overall, I would say the food is very good and quite authentic. We actually were the only ones there because we went very late, just before closing. The waitresses were, naturally, very attentive. We ordered 9 dishes because we just wanted to try a bunch since it is a long drive for us. Mapo tofu was very good. It had the "ma la" numbing spice so if you don't like that, you won't like this. Panfried dumplings were crispy and tasty. Wonton soup had plenty of meat-filled wontons and had A-choy in the broth which was a nice touch. The braised beef and beef noodle soup both tasted authentically Taiwanese. The beef was tender which is a must. The pork dumplings were good. We somehow ordered plain Chinese sausage which I can get at any Chinese market. It was fine. Nothing special. And, lastly, the green beans were good, but oddly it had tripe. It was good, though. I happen to like tripe. So, I would recommend Taiwan Bistro if you are looking for authentic Taiwanese food.

This is literally a racist establishment. As a half Asian dark skinned man I woefully submit this experience. On thanksgiving day of all times the manager told the hostess to refuse me service. I believe I had one too many buttons undone (2) on my polo, so maybe looked slightly boogie nights. None the less, a very well put together fit and appearance. I'm crushed. Yellow on yellow crime

Went on 6/2/24. Absolutely authentic Taiwanese food, and good family-style portions for each entree. We will be back to try more dishes.

Four spring rolls was perfect. They make them fresh and perfect. Crispy on the outside with nice veggies on the inside. They give you a sweet-and-sour sauce to go with it. They were very good. Order at the cashier, grab a number, and food will be served to you. Needless to say, I ordered the 4. Shanghai pork mini soup dumplings which were $10.25 for 6 dumplings. I would've loved less dough, more soup, overall bigger portion size (larger dumplings or more of them). Otherwise, the soup itself was tasty. We also ordered the 14. Chongqing Fried Spicy Chicken $13.95, which was a platter of boneless chicken and peppers. I was very impressed with the crisp exterior but soft/juicy interior of the chicken. I'm not usually a spice person, but I was left feeling tingly but not in pain and not numb. Overall I found Heng's Kitchen to be disproportionately pricey given the taste and portion sizes. I'm pretty critical and discerning about my XLB, and this place did not totally satisfy my craving, although I was pleasantly surprised about the chicken. Note: rice is not included with any dish and is $1 extra. Free room-temperature self-serve water available.

Ordered the pork and chives dumplings, XLB, and Beef chow fun. Service was expedient and waters were already preset on the table. Chow fun had the wok hay ( wok air that makes food taste good) and thick slices of velveted beef slices. Pork and chive dumpling and XLB were juicy and moist and delicious with the ginger black vinegar chili oil sauce. I really like the food here and staff moves fast. Great place for a quick lunch.

The staff was all really friendly which surprised me because I swear they never stopped! They were busy but still kind and attentive! We ordered the spicy dumplings and the Hong Kong Fried Rice! The Boas were good, but the dough was a little thicker than I'm used to. So I felt full rather quickly! The fried rice however, 10/10 NO NOTES!!! Best fried rice I think I've ever had!! Totally worth the drive. Will be back for sure!!
