Love love their basil chicken, estcago, deep fried chicken, and Taiwan noodles

Vegas is the paradise for foodies with the amazing variety of cuisines from all the regions and countries, BUT just lack of the food from Taiwan and Malaysia. Taiwan Deli is almost the only one Taiwanese restaurant here in town, but it's far away from representing Taiwanese food. Food here is catering to some of the breakfast items or street snacks. Not possible to be authentic but we have no other choices. Good items here: peanut rice milk, Taiwanese kimchi (really good), rice ball with preserved mustard green, popcorn chicken, chicken meat roll, and Taiwanese rice noodles.

Cheap and cheerful Taiwanese style breakfast and lunch spot. Think cha chaan teng/HK style cafe but Taiwanese instead of Canto. They offer combination plate meals alongside a la carte snacks and dishes. The green onion pancake covered an entire dinner plate - more than enough for one person and plenty to share. A great entry that gets better dipped in chili oil and vinegar. My taiwanese sausage breakfast came with veggies and rice topped with meat sauce (it was like lu ruo fan but not quite the same). Service is friendly and welcoming. The owner stopped by my table and as we chatted, she told her story of moving to Las Vegas from Ohio and opening up the restaurant after trying another spot. She thought to herself, "I can do better than this." Years later seems like she was right.

Hot soybean milk with peanuts - a classic, warm Taiwanese breakfast item! highly recommend dipping with a Chinese donut. delicious fresh soybean milk that comes really plain but you can adjust sweetness with sugar as needed. Old fashioned meat sauce with rice and egg - I was craving Lu Rou Fan and was told this was the closest item to it on the menu. protein was ground pork which soaked up the sauce well, making it a bit slightly salty. it's less fatty than the OG but is still quite greasy. delicious and filling but I do prefer the braised pork more! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lovely, cozy Taiwanese breakfast chain in the middle of Vegas. Highly recommend checking out their menu, lots of seating and very spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff friendly and service quick! Free and easy parking.

When I come to Vegas and I need good Taiwanese breakfast food, I come to Taiwan Deli! The staff is quick and efficient, and our server in was very nice and accommodating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the restaurant has a very Taiwanese feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

Traditional Taiwanese breakfast is so hard to find but I heard about the Las Vegas relic that survives all the trendy food spots popping up around it for good reason. I love this mom and pops style restaurant serving about the freshest soy milk where you can adjust your sweetness to your liking (pro tip add a Chinese long doughnut on the side and dip it in to enjoy a sweet and savory breakfast) the egg pancake was very filling and a good portion perfect for sharing! Their rice rolls are simple and classic - I love how the rice is cooked to perfection and doesn't become mushy or hard even after a few hours! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Note: limited seating so be prepared to share a table with strangers and make new friends if you don't want to wait :)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Located in Las Vegas Chinatown. They open pretty early so we had breakfast here. The menu has many options of Taiwanese cuisine. We ordered a bunch of items to share. The flavor was quite interesting for each item. A couple of memorable ones was the the rice roll, I like it. The salty soy milk was interesting...reminds me of tofu. I would recommend getting the sweet soymilk instead. Worth an experience.

In a hidden corner of Las Vegas Chinatown is Taiwan Deli (義美冠軍), one of the city's most (if not, the most) authentic Taiwanese spots. While it might feel divey due to the lack of lighting, it is actually more of a old school vibe with the checkered cloth and gaudy decor. If anything, it feels more like a diner, but Taiwanese. Not to be confused with their southwest sister location (#1), this is the OG spot and has become a go-to option whenever I'm in town. Despite all the interior decor snafus (think mismatched furniture, tacky chandeliers on industrial ceilings, lots of calligraphy character frames and mini Chinese deity statues prominently featured in the center of the room), there is an undeniable charm that is hard to shake. It is quite group friendly and an easy solo dining spot. Speaking of solo dining, I would only stick to the breakfast options, such as soybean milk (豆漿) with Chinese donut (油條), along with their sweet/salty rice rolls (飯糰) with mustard greens or peanuts. Their radish cake / omelet (菜脯蛋) is a nice savory choice, and any of their buns make for a solid, carby snack. Many of their other classic dishes, such as oyster omelette (蚵仔煎), oyster vermicelli (蚵仔麵線), beef noodle soup (牛肉麵), and even Fuzhou style fish balls (福州魚丸湯) are offered, a clear nod to their Minnan roots. The portions are excellent and very sharable. Having dining companions in tow would be highly recommended. It's not all roses, the soup dumplings (小籠包) are not that fantastic, since they were a tad on the doughy side without much soup. The bathrooms are a major gamble, and sometimes service is a little aloof even if they're friendly. The prices are always in flux, which is where they'll find themselves in trouble with folks who get a case of sticker shock. Paying in cash will ease some of the burden and speaking any level of Mandarin is certainly better than none at all. I would absolutely kill for a place like this where I'm currently living, but I feel fortunate and envious that Vegas has a Taiwanese gem like this. __________ (#1) https://www.yelp.com/biz/taiwan-deli-las-vegas-4

Everything about Taiwan Deli is what I love about Taiwanese breakfast! [[HIGHLIGHT]]No fuss, no frills, but LOTS of vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everyone who worked there spoke Chinese, and put up with my ABC Chinese skills when trying to speak back. I had been craving warm soy milk with a youtiao, or Chinese donut. The first dip and bite is *chefs kiss*. I also got a fan tuan, knowing that I would eat it on the plane (we were flying out later that day) while my husband got a crepe with a cruller and egg inside. It's always fun to watch him try the food of my people! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This spot reminded me if my grandmas cooking and just being with family on the West Coast and I couldn't have been happier to have found it![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

When we arrived Taiwan Deli at 9:30 am, we were surprised to see a long line of people at the entrance. Thankfully the line dissipated quickly and we got seated at a shared table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Taiwan Deli has a mom and pop feel to it. During our morning visit, it was full of families eating Taiwanese breakfast items[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The wall near the front was covered with handwritten menu items, and there was a freezer full of dumplings and other products for purchase.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Once seated, one of the friendly servers will take your order. We ordered a few items and liked them all, but our favorites were the unsweetened soy milk (hot), the baked sandwich with egg and the mushroom and pork bao. Everyone at Taiwan Deli was very friendly and accommodating, tbh I was pleasantly surprised . The price was a bit more than I expected (mind you, I'm from Taiwan and am used to cheap breakfast), but the bill already included a 15% tip and the owner was very gracious. Overall, I like Taiwan Deli and wouldn't mind returning to get some Taiwanese food and to support local business.

Taiwan Deli has been a staple of Las Vegas Chinatown for as long as I can remember. It's located in one of the many plazas along Spring Mountain. We recently went there for breakfast food on a Saturday and enjoyed the dining. We had #14 Salted Rice Roll #24 Chinese Donut Baked Sandwich and #26 Taiwan Style Rice Wrapped w/ Pork. Everything was very tasty and the portions were adequate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was pretty quick and friendly and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We went early in the morning and remember the days of a louder hustle and bustle. Taiwan Deli institutes a mandatory 15% gratuity on dine-in orders and a 3% surcharge for credit cards. That's the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

After a busy day the previous day, what better way to start off Vegas than to go to Chinatown and get some Asian food we're homesick for already This place is a family owned business serving staple Taiwanese style food, it's the original location, they have a 2nd location outside of paradise. It's got the standard dumplings, soybean milk with you tiao, oyster pancakes, and if you fancy a heartier meal then they have rice and noodle dishes too. Wanting something light, we got there around 11am, luckily there wasn't a huge wait. This was my parents' 2-3 time here so, knowing how picky they are with Asian food, it's gotta be solid. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon entering, it's like I'm transported back to Taiwan/hong Kong where theres a lot of people in a small area. They even have different parties share the same table for efficiency[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The plaza this place is in is relatively busy, I wouldn't have known if I wasn't looking for it, but there's a lot of parking spots.

An authentic Taiwanese's restaurant. The owner is very interesting--she has lots of stories to share and is incredibly friendly, which makes the experience feel warm and personal. You have to try their radish cake. Some of my family members even think it tastes better than the radish cake they've had in Taiwan. They also sell frozen dumplings and offer a large selection of baos, making it a great place to stock up on comfort food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant isn't very big, but the tablecloths and overall atmosphere remind me of classic mom-and-pop restaurants in Taiwan.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Pig Ear and Tofu in Chili Sauce (#61)
    Yun-Wen L.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 2/5 - ordered Stinking Fried Tofu (#50), Beef Rolls (#75), and Pig Ear and Tofu in Chili Sauce (#61). The cold dish of pig ear came from a side fridge and was the smallest side. The small size didn't turn out to be a big issue since we had to toss most of it away since we think it's gone bad since it was sour and had a foul odor to it (worse than the stinky tofu!) The fried tofu was dry and they didn't provide sauce to help it along. The beef rolls were dry as well and the scallions pancake wrap around it was more of a soggy tortilla. The sides it came with was the best part of the meal. Service: 3/5 - we were welcomed by someone sitting at a booth with a large party speaking Chinese. However, when they realized we were ordering to-go she handed us off to the cashier who was not happy to be there and seemed upset that we spoke in English. The first item we ordered was not available and she just stated that it's 11:30 already so there's no way they had it. Ambiance: n/a - ordered food to go Value for price: 2/5 - I really wanted to like this place especially since there's so many good Asian restaurants in the area. Unfortunately, they missed on every dish.

We arrived around 7:30-ish and it was quiet with one or two other parties dining. Their take-out business appeared to be robust, which was a good sign that they must be doing something right with their offerings. Menu is pretty standard fair. Noodles in broth with beef shank, various dumplings, rice plates and dry noodle dishes. We started with the deep fried spring rolls which were tasty. The wrapping was very thin and delicate and had a nice crunch for each bite. There are six in an order, which is a great value. Wife ordered the Lucky Beef Noodle which has a mildly spicy broth. She asked for half the normal amount of noodles, as she feels that the noodles end up soaking up a lot of broth. I ordered the Beef Soup with Dumplings, which is basically what my wife ordered without the noodles. I wanted noodles added, so they were gracious and added the noodles my wife did not want to my order. The broth was flavorful and mild, not much of a kick. But the pork and cabbage dumplings included in my order were out of this world delicious and paired perfectly with the beef and its broth. I highly recommend this specific dish!
