This should be 3.5 the half is for the sushi or options that is available in the menu. This is a AYCE sushi with 3 different levels the taizzi level is the highest. Do remember the menu prices are not what they are now...inflation or covid 19 price per person is more. You are allowed only 90 min to eat. They only allow you to order 3 items per person at a time so plan accordingly. I do feel some items are not the freshest so see what others are ordering when you are there. If you get the highest level you can get the sushi tower and any roll that you want on the menu. read more

This is one of best sushi places that I have been to in Houston for the price. I have visited twice and will definitely be back. Both times that I visited, I did all you can eat "Taizzi" because I like to eat sushi and sashimi. Their fish quality is good and they have a lot of variety on the menu. This is the most items that I have seen at a sushi restaurant. They serve a combination of Japanese and Korean cuisine along with sushi/sashimi menu. I love the Korean flair that they put on their food. Some items even have a Southern influence like the tasty Cajun Albacore salad. Fiancé and I order food from here pretty often. During the pandemic, they really pivoted with social media with extremely cheap sushi deals and continue it now. But because of doing so, they always appear to be busy so at random times, we will get a wait time of 2+ hours for a to-go order so we end up cancelling our order and eating elsewhere. On other occasions when we do order and are able to pick up in a decent timeframe, the sushi is really fairly decent and definitely worth it. We had never heard of Taizzi and tried it based on the Yelp reviews. It didn't disappoint. We tried multiple dishes thanks to the all you can eat format. This has to be the freshest sashimi I've ever eaten. The Kanpachi, Garlic Albacore sashimi, Cajun Albacore sashimi stood out the most. Everything else was a very close second. Our only disappointment was that we got full before trying everything we wanted. Can't say enough about Josh. He was the only server in the entire restaurant but you wouldn't have known it because of his wonderful attitude and willingness to take the time to answer our questions or make recommendations. Although there are sushi restaurants closer than Taizzi to our home, we will make the drive for this level of quality and service. read more

Probably the most underrated ayce experience in the Katy/West Houston area! Located in a shopping center off of Katy Mills and I-10. It's a smaller restaurant but it gives it a more intimate feel that's good for date night or dinner with the family. It's not like your typical buffet, where the food is already ready. Everything here is fresh made to order! This does mean you have to wait a bit for your food after you order but it's worth it! Also I'd like to mention that this place excels at way more than sushi. Not only are the rolls spectacular but their collection of Korean bbq meats, teriyaki, and traditional Korean soups are also amazing! Finally, to top the experience off the service is phenomenal . This is a hidden gem in Katy. Our family loves to go there for dinner. They have variety of foods to choose from. We always get the Ahi Tower, White Tuna and salmon sashimi, cooked fish rolls, tempura, and miso soup. The staffs were nice and friendly. The ambience was nice. I want to start off by saying that Josh took such great care of my wife and I today. We came in for the AYCE sushi, and I did not regret it for one second. I probably ate $80 worth of sushi alone! To start us off, we got the crab puffs, spicy garlic edamame, dynamite, baked mussels, and spicy Korean ramen. Everything was well seasoned. Our favorite were the crab puffs and the spicy garlic edamame solely for the spicy garlic sauce. This is important since we saved some of that sauce for our other dishes! It was an amazing addition to every single food item we ordered. I proceeded to order the first 6 sashimi on the menu (salmon, fatty salmon, garlic ponzu salmon, tuna, peppered tuna, and garlic ponzu tuna). I did not specify whether I wanted thin, medium, or thick cuts. I believe the default cuts were thick. Every single sashimi tasted super fresh! The garlic ponzu was nothing to brag home about, but it was pretty balanced and not super overpowering. Then, we ordered the Evan roll and SalmonAss roll. The Evan roll doesn't have rice, but the texture was AMAZING! Each bite was felt like a million light crunches! Super refreshing! The SalmonAss roll was a bit heavy since it was deep fried, but the flavors were very well balanced. This is when I decided to put some of that spicy garlic sauce from the spicy garlic edamame, and I discovered a new realm of flavors all together!! We decided to order crab puffs again along with thin cuts of salmon sashimi, scallops, and garlic ponzu albacore. Of course, I had to put some spicy garlic on the crab puffs. PHENOMENAL! Also, thin cuts of salmon was what I was looking for! It was amazing! We ended our meal with green tea mochi, mango mochi, and lava cake. We loved everything that came out. I probably missed out a few dishes, but just know that I was lost in the sauce! We will definitely come here again!! Unfortunately, everything looked so nice and fresh so we didn't take any pictures.
