Can I give 10 stars?  Popped in randomly to get an inspection and we were in and out within 20 minutes and that is with someone ahead of us!  They are located across the street from the Randalls and there are parking spaces available.  We pulled up and were immediately greeted by Layton, he was super friendly, explained the process and offered water.  Rob, the inspector and Layton, the assistant manager were so friendly and courteous. They made the boring task of getting an inspection much more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back for oil changes! read more

I came here 3-4 times for an oil change and they were either closed early or had long lines. I finally had time to sit in line, and two different people came to my car to ask what I need before I was blocked in by other cars. The area manager of Austin who is usually at Parker location came to my car first and wanted to make sure he had the correct filters for my Mercedes GLK350. After waiting 45 + minutes for my turn (with 2 kids in car) I was told they don't have the right filter. The extremely nice area manager said he'd personally go get the right filter and give me 50% off if I came in next day. Well... went in next day and they were closing early again. The really nice guy filling in from San Antonio topped off my oil for free despite closing up. Went again the next day and waited in line another hour. They had the right oil filter this time, and I told this branch manager (I'm assuming his name is Luis?) that area manager told me I could have 50%. He told me he could do 10% off, and quoted me a higher price than the initial time I went a few days prior. I had it done anyways because I was leaving for a roadtrip, but pretty annoying. read more

It was my first time here. I usually frequent Valvoline, but Valvoline was a much further drive so I decided to give this location and try I was very quick, very efficient. The staff was very friendly and respectful. The gentleman offered me a bottle of water while I waited for the other car in the bay to leave. They respected the fact that I did not wish for them to check my cabin, air filters or really anything besides the oil change which I appreciated because I usually hate coming to get the service performed on my car because they try to sell you on a bunch of other stuff so I really appreciate it that they didn't try to pressure me into anything. I will say it does seem a little more expensive than what I'm used to paying for a synthetic you're looking at over $100 so I opted for the premium which I think is still synthetic and I used a seven dollar coupon and I ended up paying $80. read more

Had high hopes based on the solid reviews, but ultimately a bad experience. I had tried calling a few times before driving over and they didn't answer, but drove over once I found a photo of their prices on Yelp. I arrived wanting the $42 oil change (GTX Ultraclean). After a 10 minute wait, he offers the $62 oil change. I ask for the lower price, and he said they don't have that kind for my car. I checked before driving over, and GTX Ultraclean is available in the weight my car takes. Either they were out, or they choose not to offer it. To me, it felt like a bait and switch. They grossly over charged me! I was deceived and suckered. I usually pay $86 for an oil change. They charged me $121. I realized few days after that they didn't even change the air filter, which they said they did. They charged me $50 to replace the cabin filter. The filter costs $10 max and it takes literally 10 seconds to replace. (Last time I had it replaced for $22) Too bad I was not paying attention. And the worse part is...I tipped them $20! It's a SCAM!! I was told 10 minutes $ $33 with a $10 off coupon. After waiting in line in my car for 40 minutes I'm told it's $62 minimum. Cameron tells me I called a calling center and the calling center has no idea what is actually going on. Had I been told when I first got in line I would've driven off. They take your time up to a point it doesn't make sense not to pay. I totally believe this is just how they do business. I recently had an oil change last Saturday and this was absolutely THE WORST experience I have had for an oil change. I arrived at the location just before noon and there were two lines with 3-4 cars in each. My wait was just under an hour, which seemed long, but it was a busy holiday weekend and I was okay at the time. Once I pulled into the garage, the tech opened my hood, but then left my car and started assisting the other tech working on a Volvo beside me. There was obviously some issue with putting on the cover to the filter on the Volvo, and together they both spent 30 mins completely ignoring me and only focused on the other car. It seemed like they couldn't get the drill to work properly (or didn't know how to use it) and possibly stripped the screws on the other car. I finally said something to the tech that I had been waiting inside the garage for 40 minutes at this point and to please do whatever they could to continue working on my car. The tech then went over to the other tech and I overheard him complaining about me and they both started cursing. Finally, after fixing the Volvo, the tech started working on my car again, while the other attended to the next car (a white truck) that pulled up in the lane beside me. After about 5 mins, the tech stopped working on my car AGAIN and went over to assist the other tech working on the truck. As soon as I noticed this, I again asked them to please finish on my car before they started a new one. My request was ignored as they both continued working on the truck and it was finished before they came back to my car. At that point, the other tech came up to me and started telling me that not to ask the other tech that I wanted my filter changed or anything else, saying that it would speed up the process and he would check it next time instead. He was also telling the other tech that they would start turning cars away in the line because he wanted to close the shop at 2:30 and he didn't "give a f**k who was waiting." I was so beyond frustrated at this point, that I complied with this just to let them finish so I could leave. In total, it took 2 hours and 15 mins (1 hour wait, and 1hr 15min in the garage) to complete an oil change that should only have taken 10 mins. The two technicians never apologized or acknowledged that I was waiting for a significant time and were extremely rude, cursing, often standing around watching the other work and complaining about other customers. Again, this was the worst experience I have had at Take5 and I doubt that I will ever use this garage again. read more

Stopped by for an oil change and as someone who hates getting it done, I'd definitely come back here. No line at all, it was all done while I stayed in the car and I'd estimate maybe 20 minutes tops. The techs were nice and friendly and overall a good spot. Will start coming here for oil changes! The only con is that they were out of everything but the most expensive options but I just wanted to get it done and didn't want to bother with another place so I just paid for it. It's that time again when the car needed an oil change. We looked online for speed and efficiency and came across Take 5. Thank all that is good we did. Let me tell you just how great this place is. The cons: none. These guys are great. The pros: These guys are the friendliest and nicest guys I have probably ever spoken to. They have great communication. The first thing they did was handed us an ice cold bottle of water, which is life in Texas. They explained the different types of oil and didn't try to up sell us on anything. They made sure we understood that the oil change was good for 5,000 miles and explained how they could save us more money with a free check up that would also ensure all of our regular maintenance is taken care of. This place is just incredibly efficient. Like I can't even begin to explain. And you don't even have to get out of your car. In conclusion: give these guys your love! They are the best. read more

I want to preface this bad review by saying that the guys servicing my car were very helpful and courteous so I really don't have an issue with anything in that department. I went in for an oil change and vehicle inspection and on both counts I was very disappointed. It quickly became apparent that they did not have experience dealing with an Audi which I find odd. The inspection passed but they apparently didn't have the correct scan tool (or even know that this was required) to reset the Audi inspection interval (so I guess I now have to go to the dealership just for that or continue to get pestered on my dash about my inspection for a year). Not exactly a 5 minute convenience in any event. Worse than the inspection however was the fact that when I drove away and got on Mopac I look in my rear view mirror and see billowing smoke coming from the rear of my car to the point that I thought my car was literally on fire. My car also started sputtering like it was going to die when I accelerated to enter the freeway. I immediately drove back to the shop where it took even longer to try and figure out what was going on. We literally had to look in the owner's manual to find info. Not exactly confidence inspiring. Apparently, they overfilled the oil so after lowering the level to the correct range it seemed to have remedied the issue. That being said I have had the car randomly sputter a few more times since then so I'm concerned there may have been some sort of permanent damage done. I have owned VW and now an Audi for many years and I have always gone to the dealership and gotten excellent service and competitive pricing for regular maintenance. This poor experience has taught me not to deviate from that practice. This place might be OK for an American car (no idea) but if you have an import I would not recommend going here unless you want to chance it. read more

I called to see if they were available for an oil change and they told me to come on by. They said there was no way and I'll be able to get right in. I told him I could be there in 15 minutes, and they said that would be great. I jumped in my car and went straight there. Once I got there there was only one car in front of me. The worker came up to me to ask what I was looking for and I mentioned I called for the oil change. He told me to come back in an hour because they've decided to go on lunch. He literally turned away my service which we had previously agreed-upon after I drove all the way there. Never again read more

I previously left a five star review. Last two times I've been there they were conveniently out of conventional oil. The least expensive they had was the high mileage. My vehicle only has 13,000 miles on it I don't need the high mileage. They tried to sell me a $70 conventional oil change. That is excessive. Now I need to find a new oil change place. read more

They were horrible. I've been going there for quite a while, but they have some new people, and the service was just bad. I get that the job market is challenging, and it's not always easy to hire good people, but the two women who worked on my car were incredibly surly and rude, which has never happened at this location before. I know it's not the most stimulating job, but they charged me over $90 and did NOT do some of the inspections they claim they did. You sit in the car while they work on it, so you can see what they do. I think they just checked items off as performed when they didn't actually do them. I will have to find a new place. read more

When my dealer couldn't get to my oil change today for at least two hours, I remembered this new store and its website mentioning five minute service, not getting out of your car, and being offered a cold drink while getting your car serviced. Here's the verdict. Five minute service? Not quite. It was fast, but well more than five minutes. Not getting out of your car? Check. But it also gets hot in mid summer in Texas in a car that's been turned off. Drink? Never even mentioned or offered. What was mentioned or offered? Synthetic oil. Three times, each by a different technician. And they were pushy about it. In fact, one of them even wanted me to sign something to acknowledge that they recommended synthetic and I didn't want it. They never did have me sign such a thing. And truth be told, my car has never used synthetic and it's previously only been serviced by the dealer. I'm wanting a basic oil change. I shouldn't be treated as if I'm refusing life saving medical treatment for the family. The fact that I could drive right in to this shop on a Saturday afternoon should've been a warning. But, I needed to change my oil before leaving town and this was the best option out there. Had I not come in with high expectations, I might've been ok with the experience. But don't build me up to expect a great oil change and just experience another high pressure chain oil change. You know it's not a great experience when you look forward to going back to the dealer when it's not busy. read more

Very unreliable service. I went there for an oil change three months ago, and was finished within 15 minutes. At my most recent visit, I was waiting in line for 15 minutes, and was in the bay for an hour after that. It did not seem like their teamwork was very good. There was an awful lot of yelling, and not everyone was trained on basic things like scanning in the car from the door sticker. On a positive note, if you go here you may be able to get a free oil change. I had to remind them to charge me when they were done. read more

I showed up to get my oil changed around 2pm on a Monday. I waited maybe 10 minutes for the car ahead of me to get done, then right away I was taken in. They were quick, efficient and polite. They offered us water as we waited. The oil change only took max 15 min, he checked the air in my tires, and the price was very reasonable (I had a coupon which is why I tried them out). I saw some bad reviews and was wary to come here but I've gotten my oil changed twice by them and they have been nothing but reliable and respectful. First they kindly greet you and ask if you'd like a bottle of water, then they talk about your oil change ask what type of oil you want etc., then they quickly do your oil change and send you on your way. I've gotten 2 coupons online for $10 off before my visits and they sent me a 25% off oil change coupon for anyone I know who needs an oil change soon after I had gotten my second oil change. It's hard to find a place that doesn't try to rip you off as a woman and although their prices aren't the cheapest ($40-$70ish) they are worth it for the reliability. read more

Literally the rudest people ever. I don't normally leave reviews, but they were so mean I had to. They were cussing and making me feel so stupid. Calling the other location of theirs "r*tarded" I didn't know exactly what I wanted and was asking a family member who usually deals with my car questions and they were COMPLETELY empty but we're trying to hurry me up. I told them I needed a minute but they explain they had already dropped my oil and the guy said "What the f is the problem? Who comes to an oil change and doesn't know wtf they want". They told me they had changed their oil and their services so is it crazy that I was a little confused and taken off guard??? I asked to leave and they reluctantly let me, saying no one else would know what I wanted either. Being a woman, dealing with cars can be difficult because we are seen to be "clueless" in those situations but i was being helped by ANOTHER WOMAN. AND SHE WAS RUDE TOO. This place is crazy. Went for the first time and got an oil change and an inspection. The experience at the store was good albeit a bit expensive I thought for a standard oil change and inspection. The problems were after the fact. They won't tell you this but they sell your phone number and vehicle information to spam companies which leads to a FLOOD of possibly bogus vehicle warranty sales calls. I mean at least 5 per day. I received a total of 1 call in the two months previous to my trip here and the following week I received over 30 calls which lasted for about 3 weeks before tapering off. Take 5 is the only place I gave my information to before this happened. Additionally a coworker had the exact same thing happen to him after visiting Take 5. This is sleazy and I do not recommend this place because of this because it is VERY annoying to be called at all hours and by pushy people. read more

I have gone to this location several times to get my oil changed, the manger is a great guy who focuses on treating customers with respect and offers waters and greets everyone with a smile. I haven't had an issue with the employees who work there until I saw there inspector Chris, I had to wait 3 hours to wait to get my vehicle inspected despite the fact no one was in front of me for inspections. I saw him on his phone for a while before putting it up and then starting to berate his colleges for "not doing enough". When I asked one of the associates what his problem was they said this was a normal thing for him at least when he decides to show up, his lack of work ethic and teamwork was mind boggling. I would give this place a five star rating if that waste of space would be transferred or fired. read more

I got my oil changed here about a month ago. A couple days ago my check engine light came on and my car started to run weird and would even die at times. so I finally had time to take it to a shop to get looked at, come to find out my vehicle had little to no oil in my car! I find it very hard that my oil would be so low when I just got the oil changed within a month!!! This was my 1st time and the last time I get my oil changed here! I paid $70 for an oil change just to have to pay $350 a month later on repairs due to whatever this place did wrong on my oil change! read more

Like other reviewers I expected to wait. But there was no wait, no line and I stayed in my car. They were super knowledgable and helpful. I will definitely be going back. The whole oil change took anywhere from 10 - 15 minuets. I really can't believe it was so fast. Note: If you have never been there before - you need to pull up to the garage doors. There is this weird twisty turn drive through thing and I thought it was for waiting in line but it's not. If it's your first time there, get a coupon from their website.
