Sat in line for over an hour. Truck in front of me never moved out of oil changing area. Meanwhile 4 cars cycled through both other lanes. Manager? Came out finally and moved cars back and let me get in different line. Offered me a 25% discount. Completely unprofessional and slow. No one here has any sense of urgency at all. Slowest place for oil change. Got here with absolutely no line, first thing in the morning. Took almost an hour just to even get to our car. Nobody said anything or gave any updates why it was taking so long to start our oil change, everyone was just standing around talking. Not worth it. Will go to the dealership for all future oil changes. Period. Finally after being here half the morning the guy says oh our large compressor is down so it's taking much longer. Then I'm assuming a manager starts cussing at the employees for "not looking at their effing schedules". Paid over $100 for premium oil to be spilt all over my front fenders. Manager came out and got after the guys about how I was paying good money for an oil change on my Jeep and they were spilling it. The guys that work here are very unprofessional and immature. I watched as one worker threw an oil container over someone's car to another worker. After that, one of the guys working on my vehicle went and got my oil filter, then called out another guys name by my truck and threw my oil filter across the garage, the guy buy my truck dropped it on the concrete then put it in my truck.. The guy then proceeded to try to take off my air filter lid and I cringed in my truck as I could hear this guy stripping the screw heads, he had to get the guy who threw my filter to get it off for him. Now comes the time to put the oil back in my truck and i watch as the guy who stripped my screws also proceeded to dump a large amount of the oil i'm paying over$100.00 for all over my engine . Went to get an oil change earlier this evening around 5:30pm. They did a good job with the oil change. The only problem I have is that they left oily,greasy prints all over the front of my truck. You'd think that spending $156.00 on an oil change they'd take more care of your vehicle than that. I didn't notice until I got home. Thankfully it cleaned off pretty easily. Waited 2 hours to get my oil changed. Can understand the business of the demand. My concerns are I pulled off only to learn that the skid plate that covers the oil pan was dragging the ground. I went back to get them to fix it and told I had to get back in line and they would fix it. Mind you, just waited 2 hours and the line was just as long as when I first pulled up. I received this information from the manager on duty. We will call him "J" which is the first initial of his name. I was getting a bit heated while "J" seemed to be scripted in his responses to me. Asked why couldn't I just back into the bay to have them fix the skid plate, his response "You have to go to the back of the line as we operate on a first come first served basis". Told him I couldn't wait an additional 2 hours and driving my car was not safe. He replied, "We'd be glad to help you once I waited in line". Asked him if I could get my money back, he referred me to their corporate office. I ask if I can get that information. He told me to look online. Now I'm done... couple months ago filed a claim due to after oil change about 4 miles down the road the skid plate flew off down the highway . I filed a claim, submitted all paperwork and waited. the car is functional but still missing the skid plate. this is their stupid nonsense response: We have concluded our liability review with Take5 Corporate. At this time, liability is denied due to the miles driven since service (1600 miles) and the length of time. Due to this, we are unable to put negligence on Take5. Our denial is final given the circumstances. If you would like to pursue this matter further, you may report to your own insurance company OR file through your local small claims court, and we will respond accordingly. This is the most rediculous response I have ever heard. Of course I would drive my vehicle while waiting on the claim, it's not like the car was damaged in a wreck! Do not ever take your car there expecting to get something back if something goes wrong. Just the response itself from them make them morons and don't know automobile operations or limited operations if warranted. Not worth going to court, but it's worth bashing their service/trust on Yelp. I feel better already! read more

This place is a hit or miss for me and the last couple of times have been misses. The Take 5 location on Newtown can no longer accommodate my car because of their new grills on the ground. I went for a visit one day and was told my Nissan Altima sits too low after it scraped across the top of the grills. I should have known something was up because I was the third car they sent away. I was told to visit this Take Five location instead. I visited 30 minutes after they had opened on Saturday morning to find lines in all three lanes. I wouldn't say the service was friendly but more disinterested. Ultimately the oil change took less than 20 minutes but the waiting in line had me there for an hour. AN HOUR. I had a friend warn me it would take that long but I thought if I got there early I could miss the rush. I couldn't figure out what was the hold up with everyone else and it was frustrating. But at the end of the experience, my oil was changed and they topped off my fluids so they did the job just not as fast as they say they can. read more

For me, they left an oil stained rag in my engine compartment, charged me for window washer fluid but never filled it, and tried to gaslight me when their tech overfilled my oil resulting in a $2,800 repair. Had a brain fart this morning, ended up going to a "Take 5 Service Center" thinking it was a Jiffy Lube. I am sooo glad I made the mistake. There were many high points with my 1st visit to a "Take 5". 1). You get to stay in your vehicle. 2). Offered a free cold bottle of water. 3). Their service crew are friendly, customer service oriented. (Dap for Anthony) 4). I was just in for an oil/filter change but they scrutinized & sericed as needed most of the fluids, air filter check and topped off the tire pressures for FREE. 5). 25% off (!) the oil change for all Active Duty & Retired Military. 6). The service crew expedited the servicing without overlooking or short cutting their required inspection criteria. Quick but precise is what I witnessed. So to sum this up, I really don't see myself ever going back to a major vehicle service center where I have to leave my car all day or overnight for a D**N Oil Change. I am visiting from out of town and needed an oil change badly. I've never seen or heard of Take 5 but it was close to my hotel so I decided to go there. Upon pulling up to the drive-thru there was 1 car ahead of me and another already being serviced. All in all, I had to wait about 35 minutes to pull my car in. It is a clean and well-maintained facility. The gentleman working in my bay was very nice and informative. He had to go inside on the computer to double-check what oil my car takes because it is a 2020 and wasn't listed on his database outside. He told me the options for full synthetic and explained the differences. In the end, I chose the cheaper options. They also have coupons you can find online! I ended up getting $7 off my oil change. He performed my oil change quickly and also checked my air filter and filled my windshield wiper fluid. They also clean your front windshield after finishing which is really nice. I don't know if this is normal or not around this area, because they definitely don't do that where I live. The employees were all wearing masks and you do not have to get out of your car at all. Overall, I was very impressed with the service and and the detailed explanation of everything the technician was doing to my car. I am glad I didn't listen to some of the bad reviews on here because I was very happy. read more

If it was busy, I would even be willing to assume it could take 20 or 30 minutes. What surprised me was that I was waiting for upwards of two hours with only one person in front of me to get a simple oil change. In addition to that, I was hit with $25 of the hidden fees that were not disclosed to me until after my premium oil change was done, I was advised that it would cost me about $86 and it ended up costing me $111. in addition, I was not allowed to receive a military discount, despite presenting my military ID. The gentleman who was doing the work on my truck seemed apathetic, incompetence, and undeserving of an hourly wage. If I was not so angry about my service, I would've asked him for his name, and may yet still go back to get that information. while I am aware that it will not make any difference in the overall service, I can assure you that I will never get an oil change from any take five ever again . read more

The customer service here needs some work... not a single person was personable or friendly by any means. I came here because the person who typically changes my oil is out of town and I was worried about other shops purposely damaging my vehicle in order to get other services. Just wanted a basic cheap oil change because my vehicle is being serviced again for oil next week. Waiting took about 25 minutes before my car was brought in and it was 14 minutes once I pulled in. The positives- my oil was changed. Negatives- not a single friendly or happy worker in the entire place. My car under carriage was not secured after my oil change. The next day I drove to the mountains for a class I was taking-6 hr drive and when I stopped I noticed part of the under carriage ripped off. A nice man who worked for the hotel I stayed at, was also a mechanic and came out to check. He called it by saying- did you just get an oil change? I said yes. He said that the place forgot to screw back a bolt to secure the under carriage . He used a zip tie to secure it . Fast forward 2 weeks - I have tried to call take 5 2 times. The first time I talked to Tim who couldn't find my info and asked me for my vin#, which I didn't know. I told him I had to call him back. After I found my vin # I called back to be put on I hold for 30 mins and then was disconnected. I had a regularly scheduled car appt this past Monday to get my state inspection and they gave me an estimate of $300 to replace the undercarriage. I feel like take 5 is responsible for this charge. I plan on calling again before having this work done. Just have had travel commitments back to back the last 2 weeks. Upset and would not recommend this place. Will not go back ! read more
