Placed a pick up order and got my order as soon as I walked in. Hostess was super friendly and my order was accurate including special requests. Sushi is reasonably priced and they offer my favorite NY Roll (Tuna, instead of salmon, cream cheese and cucumber) delish! First time trying this place and I was happy with my experience. We did the omakase for 2 and it was absolutely delicious! All of the fish was extremely fresh and the bluefin tuna and toro were as buttery as they can get! Presentation was top notch and service was great too. Pricing was very reasonable and there's even a Groupon available (we didn't see at the time, but bought one for our next visit). Our first time to Taku, the restaurant is nicely decorated and very clean. We ordered 5 rolls and some nigiri and all were excellent. My favorite was the spider roll and the sweet shrimp nigiri. The salmon sashimi was amazing... everything was very fresh. We really enjoyed the chicken katsu as well. The servers were super friendly and provided great service. This is definitely our spot for sushi going forward. read more

Finally tried this out as I pass it pretty frequently. The rolls are more on the pricey side from what I'm used to but this has been one of the better sushi places I have been to so far. The flavors were good on both however I feel like they could use something crunchy (like tempura flakes) since they're a little too much on the soft side in my opinion. I would definitely recommend and try this place again though! read more

Such a GREAT experience! Went with 7 friends from out of town and the owner Peter really made our last day in CO very memorable. Super personable staff, sushi quality is delicious and mouth watering. I enjoyed the rolls. For the amount of ingredients and the freshness of each roll, I think its worth it if you have a sushi craving. The only downside is that it is overpriced in my opinion. Any specialty roll will cost you roughly $15+ and I just don't agree with it for the ingredients that are put into each roll. Great taste, good atmosphere, however, be weary on what you order or you'll be spending more there than you would think. read more

We had a great time. The owner was extremely friendly. Our food was amazing. Sashimi, the rolls and the collar was so good. We left with our jeans unbuttoned to make room. Aarrgghh. Disappointing - after such a long wait for the big grand opening. We met one of the owners and he told us he wanted his restaurant to be the best sushi in Centennial! So we gave it the full boat dice roll; sashimi, salad, tempura and we even pulled the trigger on the Omakase (chefs choice) for another $100. Regrettably, the tempura was dense and thick (and all of the vegetables were root, no onion, no zucchini, just squash and sweet potato). Next came a few pretty - but monotonously seasoned sashimi plates, finally the piece de resistance came out and it was 36 pieces of fish on a platter - zero creativity! Just 36 pieces of raw fish. This place is a gem! We have been here twice and we have not been disappointed. The fish is the best fish we have had here in all of Colorado. It is nope notch. They are very generous with their portions. A lot of other places you go to when ordering a sashimi platter you only get about two to three pieces, not here! You get 4 pieces of each fish! Their rolls are huge and delicious. Ithe food alone is worth going. The service is always great as well, they are extremely friendly which is rare to find in a sushi joint. The restaurant is always clean and well kept. The bathrooms could be a little cleaner but whatever, doesn't impact us going here. It is literally the best sushi place in Colorado. read more

The was delicious, and the service was remarkable. We had such a nice evening! The volcano roll was a hit, but the sashimi told the story: it was fresh and melted in our mouths. Our waitress was outstanding and as friendly as a person can be. I ordered two-for-one hot Sake, but my wife wasn't drinking. I am a cheap date, so there was no way I was going to finish two larges. My wife and I decided to give Taku Sushi for our well deserved date night. This place is a little hard to find and see from the street, but I highly recommend that you do not give up. We ordered a plethora of different rolls: spicy tuna, spicy scallop, asparagus, firecracker and spicy salmon rolls. We enjoyed all of them, but the spicy roles could have used a bit more spice in them.....regardless they were still good and very affordable. We highly recommend this place and look forward to returning soon. read more

High-quality sushi presented beautifully with an extra flare. Very impressive small but lovely restaurant with pleasant ambience. We have been there several times and never disappointed with the sushi however, I do not recommend their shrimp tempura which lacked flavor and the crunchiness. This is a great little sushi gem. The staff is VERY friendly and the food is amazing. Try the Godzilla roll!!!! The Taku Signature Roll was creamy good. Apps: Blue Fin Tuna and jalapeños and the coconut shrimp. Let's say for two of us, we were full. We went on a weekday. They seemed a little understaffed for the crowd but still managed to bring in good service. One critique. The wasabi could use a touch more kick. But hey, that's not a complaint. Taku is such a great little spot even though it doesn't look like much on the outside and is located in a small strip mall. The sushi however is worth it! The fish is always fresh (with blue fish being flown in ever few days) and the roll variety is excellent. I highly recommend the Godzilla and heart attack rolls. More important the service has been incredible. One of our favorite waitresses (who is sadly leaving soon) has treated us with such kindness and remembered us ever time we came in! Everyone works incredibly hard but also has a great time while doing it. If you are ever in South Denver - definitely check it out! read more

We are constantly on the hunt for affordable good sushi, specifically tuna. We looked at the reviews and decided to give this place a try. Seems they are fairly new and haven't been open that long. So good! Seriously, so good. We got the Omakase for 2 people. It was $100, which might sound expensive, but once you get an appetizer and a few rolls, you're already at $100. We got the tuna appetizer, 2 rolls and a TON of sashimi. PLUS, it was buy one, get one free on hot sake. Awe yeah. The fish was fresh and delicious. The King Kong roll was one of the best we've ever had. We told the chef the only thing that would make it better was real crab and he said he would make it for us that way next time. We were stuffed. This is my new favorite sushi in the Littleton area. Just fantastic. From the great service to the delicious fresh fish. We got the omakase and the chef certainly didn't disappoint. We flew in from California and wanted to try this spot out since it was nearby. The rolls were very tasty. A- or B+. I might be a bit picky but the spicy tuna seemed a little too...mashed up if that makes sense. However, the taste was great. The rolls are all reasonably priced. Good size. What a great little sushi spot! My husband loves sushi but I personally have always struggled to find one I like. I found multiple here!! The crazy tuna roll is delicious and my favorite sushi I've ever had. We also got the crunchy spicy tuna roll and black angel roll. My husband loved the black angel roll, so much flavor. The agedashi tofu has the lightest crisp and so soft inside. The karaage chicken was nice and crunchy with a spicy mayo, a much bigger portion than I thought it would be. I cannot believe this place have 4.5 stars. I just ordered 2 rolls and spicy edamame, none of it was very good. The sushi rolls had no flavor and the fish was mushy. Could not distinguish any of the ingredients. Salmon, spicy tuna, eel, tempura shrimp...all tasted the same. One of the rolls was not a roll but instead layer of rice, then something else, another layer of rice, then what ever fish. Very bland and way to much mushy rice. It was well made for what it was, just not my particular favorite. The miso soup was lovely. The restaurant was nice and clean and as I have said, the service was impeccable, friendly, really everything you would want. Which is all the more reason I was disappointed that the food did not ring a bell with me. But some restaurants want to stay humble as they want to stay away from the spotlight so I get it. In a way, this is my neighborhood sushi restaurant that I can count on. I don't want them to be more than what they are now to be frank. Good and efficient service. They always treat me well with respect and regard. Small and yet clean tidy ambience is always appreciated. I always do takeouts; I don't think I have never dined here to be frank. So my aim is to do a nice sit down dinner with my family or friends soon.

Amazing sushi and atmosphere! The Sushi chefs will always welcome you as you come through the door. The servers are kind and friendly and will go into details on what you're ordering or what you ordered so you're not over whelmed or confused on what you order, especially if you order many different rolls or fish for sashimi and nigiri. Fish is super fresh! We got the Omakase $200 special! I wished we took more photos of the food, it was super delicious! Specials coming back and forth. I recently dined at Taku Sushi with a large group and ordered the sashimi platter and the spicy girl roll. The sashimi platter was a true delight with 20 pieces of fresh and delicious fish. Each piece melted in my mouth, and the presentation was impeccable. The spicy girl roll had just the right balance of heat, and the combination of flavors was spot-on.
