I love the ambiance here! The baristas are super friendly and love to talk story with you! They really make you feel welcomed. This is my go to coffee spots to study and/or do work. I always recommend this place to any and all my friends for an amazing cafe experience!

Visited Talk Kaimuki today after a pedicure to order my regular- Iced, Nutella latte with Oatmilk. I told myself to order something new, but if you know me, I go with what I like most days. The Nutella latte hits the spot if you need a pick-me-up on a busy day. Some things to keep in mind: -this area can get really busy and parking is a nightmare during lunch hours (11:30-1:30pm). All spots are also metered parking so be prepared. With a credit card or change! The ambiance in Talk Kaimuki is a chill and relaxed. This is an area where lots of college students frequent so there is a hipster vibe. Lots of folks here getting business and studying done so perfect spot if you are meeting a friend or colleague for a quick meeting.

My experience at Talk Kaimuki today deserves a 5-star. As soon as I entered, the staff was eager to take care of me. The woman who helped me was efficient, kind and skilled. Her iced latte was incredibly crafted. (The reason for the 1-star deduction has to do entirely with my other experience here. There was an employee who was condescending and rude when I asked a question.) The restrooms are clean. Talk offers free WiFi. There's parking nearby. Lots of seating for social hangouts, work/school, etc. My iced vanilla lavender latte was delicious! Coffee flavor strong, yet well balanced. The perfect amount of ice too!

If you love your coffee bold & strong- this place is it. Check their specialty drink menu, yum! They have pistachio matcha & haupia lattes, to name a few. They also have this ube chocolate bread putting. There's a wall of mini shaka hooks. Cute spot & happy baristas.

Customer service was quick and friendly, and the staff had great recommendations for their pastries. I ordered a café mocha and the Lilikoi Mango Sticky Rice scone--which completely surprised me because I normally don't care for sticky rice desserts, but this one was fantastic. I stopped by on a busy Saturday morning, and even with the crowd, the baristas were swift and attentive. I love exploring the little cafés around Kaimukī, and Talk Kaimuki is definitely worth a stop if you're strolling through the area.

Sorry to say I live close by and haven't been here in a long time and is the first time here for cocktails! I'm so happy I did. Love what they did with the place and the way they do things. The evening had a great vibe. The night we came we sat next to a couple that met exactly a year ago celebrating that they met at Talk Kaimuki and their relationship is still going. Bartenders are great not in just making their cocktails but personable and friendly. Their ideas as mixologists are amazing to watch. My friends and I were able to see how they were testing recipes .its nice to see the artistry as a mixologists. As someone who is not much a drinker, (I was this night), to see the process. The drink were delicious and unique flavors. What I really love are the different glasses. I'm all about crockery and loved the different styles. It adds to the drinks for me. The food we only had grill cheese and the popcorn and both were delicious. The Popcorn is legit! I'm looking forward to visiting again with my friends. Thanks for a great experience.

Very friendly staff. Baked goods - in house. I bought blueberry scones. Very tasty. There was a line to order. They are open when others are closed. Lots to order for breakfast and sandwiches and coffee and other drinks of course. Relaxed atmosphere.

Today I got to try the breakfast at Talk Kaimuki and found it very quiet, relaxing and calm with a tasty meal. The service was friendly and helpful.

Chocolate croissant was overcooked and dry.

The 1st cup of coffee was OK. The refill was so watery. It looked like cream added to dirty water. Turkey quiche was fair though a small portion. I expect them to ask if I wanted it hot or cold, It's weird to have some point to a self serve microwave in the dining room when ordering food. The chocolate croissant was overcooked and dry. I had ordered a large cup of coffee and they gave me a regular ceramic cup. Equivalent to a small. Refill was two dollars. If you have a caffeine addiction and be paying for several cup of coffees to get a large. . I would not come here again.

A staple coffee shop in Kaimuki that turns into a cocktail bar at night. The space is laid out with the coffee bar and ordering counter in the center with seating on both sides. There is a good amount of indoor seating with different nooks for people to sit in. There is a good variety of coffees -- the Thai Nitro was good! The pastries are good -- especially the cinnamon rolls and I have also heard that the quiches are worth a try. The baristas are sweet and quick as well. At night, the cocktail bar is pretty self-directed as you pick up your clipboard menu and grab bottles of water on your own before heading to your table. Then, you order off your menu. We got a Sneaky Smash, Ode to Oaxaca, Curry Lemonade, and some sort of lemon non-alcoholic drink. The Curry Lemonade was different and did taste like drinking curry, if that is what you are looking for. The other drinks were enjoyed by the table, especially the lemon drink -- sweet and syrup-y. This is a great spot in Kaimuki for drinks throughout the day and into the night with parking on the street and in lots around Kaimuki.

Cafe in downtown Kaimuki on a corner spot! Parking is street parking. Really lovely atmosphere for sitting and doing work, catching up with a friend, or just enjoying a relaxing coffee morning. Good vibes! Relatively quiet even though it's busy. Open concept space with high ceilings and lots of sunlight. Coffee drinks aren't the most aesthetically pleasing, but there's a rich coffee taste, and the milk foam was well done. They sell pastries, quick bites and sandwiches as well. A bit pricier but coffee quality is worth it.

Honestly, not sure how this place is and continues to be in business. We came here to get a caffeine fix, and we regretted instantly in giving this place a try - Don't fall for their signages, since it's all false advertisement - their so-called 'Specialty Drinks' are all lies! I tried their Nitro, which was described as it being 'rich and creamy' - there was no richness or creaminess in this drink - it was bitter, watered down, and it had an off taste to it, as if they added some weird unfiltered water. With half of a sip, this was tossed. There seemed to be only one staff member on site, preparing the drinks; we come to find out that she is supposedly a 'longtime beloved employee' named Di - not sure who these individuals are, but she was passive aggressive and made us feel unwelcomed and uncomfortable. The place itself is spacious, but dimly lit; the surfaces of the tables were not wiped down properly, as it was grimy/sticky. In addition, there was a pungent odor coming from somewhere, so not sure if they have a sewage problem or something. Apparently, this place transitions into serving cocktails at 4 PM. Such a poor experience, and, unfortunately, I can't and will not support this so-called local business. Limited metered street parking in the area. +awful service +unfriendly and rude staff +improperly prepared beverages +false descriptions on items +limited metered street parking available

Every single item on the food and drink menu is crafted with such robust flavor with so much dimension in each bite. The drink menu is unique, I had a cocktail I can't remember the name of it but it had plum something and was created by one of the servers there. So cool to see employees own work on the menu, he shared with us how hard and long he worked on the craft cocktail to make it perfect. Now this is a bartender! Would definitely recommend making a reservation, unless it's just you and maybe one other than the bar is mostly open seating I think. I got lucky and walked in on a Sunday night and there happened to be two open seats at the bar which i hear is unheard of due to the popularity that is this restaurant. It's a cute restaurant and is definitely a well oiled machine

I came here 2 weeks in a row so this is the review for both times. The first time I came by I went…read morewith my coworkers for my graduation lunch. They were very busy but thankfully we had a reservation. We started with the Fete Spread as the appetizer, the spreads are delicious, I like the green one the most, its nutty and slightly earthy The red one is tomatoey n sharper and the white one is creamy and sweet. This app also comes with refillable toast, which we definitely made sure to get another serving of. Then I was going to get the Korean steak as my entrée, however my coworker got it and I wanted to try something different and new so I went with the beef pot pie per the waitress' recommendation. However, I really wasn't that good in my opinion. I felt like the bourbon in the pie filling made it taste off and unappealing to me. Then I got dessert because why not. We got a lilikoi cheesecake from the Millie Fete bakery. I did not like the cheesecake very much as well. The chocolate mousse on top was good, thw cheesecake itself was good as well. However, the crust also had alcohol infused in it, which made it taste off and bitter to me. I even asked my coworkers to taste it and they agreed. We also got a scoop of kulolo ice cream. I didn't realize it was going to ALSO be infused in alc, I think it was rum, so again, the ice cream tasted slightly off to me. Kulolo is already perfect why mess with it... Also my OTHER frustration was that it took an OBSCENE amount of time for the cheesecake and ice cream. Logically, the cheesecake would just need to be plated and the ice cream just scooped. However it took 15-20 minutes for us to get the dessert which is ridiculous in my opinion. THE SECOND TIME I came, it was a slightly better experience. We had the spread and toast appetizer like previously and it was good again. WE also got the quinoa cakes and it was super flavorful and crunchy on the outside. I got the Korean steak this time around because I must try it. It was good, the scallion rice was good, flavorful. The steak was okay, it tasted good but I think it was a bad cut/quality of steak (they said it was ribeye?), but there were a lot of the silverskin/gristle (connective issue that can't be bitten through). Made the overall steak experience very unpleasant. I'm not sure HOW much I'd want to revisit as they have some pretty good dishes but some others are a little worse quality. Plus because of how busy they can get, the service might be a bit lackluster and even frustrating.

She said wasn't spicy but think she just didn't have enough. - Bone Marrow - lit it on fire to burn off the alcohol. Pretty sure it ddin't get it all so I cut baby off once I realized it. Other than needing some salt, really good. Choke mushrooms on top. One half was scrawny, but hubs had the other half for leftovers and choke marrow. YUM. - Sunchoke and Brussels - YUM. Baby ate some but was not really thrilled about it. I loved it. - Scallop and Mushroom Risotto - YUM. Delish. Baby liked it too. So much leftovers of everything. Realized when we ate it for leftovers it was all pretty oily and needed a pinch of salt. But otherwise great. Staff really nice and helpful. Love that the place is spread out and open. Bathrooms are not assigned which I'm sure can get gross, but is great to not have to wait for just the women's. There is a big stall which was perf since baby is potty training and had to go #1 and #2! Only thing missing was a hook to hang my purse and her bag. Great dinner...but if anyone is listening...bring back the shrimp and grits!!!

The batter was light and crispy with great flavors and had a yummy sauce drizzled on top. It also came with a scoop of rice, buttered corn, and Mac salad. Mac salad was delicious! Prime rib sandwich came with salad and au jus sauce and a side of salad. It's good but also very filling. I didn't try the burger or teriyaki chicken but was told both were delicious. After dinner, we ordered a few items from the bakery to eat on the plane. You have to take a number and wait for them to call it. I got 2 kouign Amannn, 2 Dubai coco puff, and half dozen green tea puff. The kouign amann is a circular croissant. I liked that it was soft and flaky and had a sweet, crispy glaze over it. The Dubai coco puff had a strong pistachio crunchy flavor but I thought it was way too sweet for me personally. The Star of the show are the green tea cream puffs! I would come back to just order that! The top filling tasted like a thick creamy brown butter green tea-flavored icing. The filling inside doesn't taste like brown butter and less thick but still really good. Overall, they had really good food and items from the bakery. Ordered the Milk tea bouquet cocktail while my better half had water ( either way the food coma knock him out cold the rest of the night lol). To be honest, it was difficult to determine which dish was the best because the staff kept quality there despite it being busy every night since they announce the closure. Sashimi moriawase, fish was so fresh, reminded me of my time spent in Hokkaido and Sapporo. Short ribs was soft and rich in flavor. Both me and my fiance liked the lukki lemon dessert, like lemon meringue pie but broken down version. If you have a chance to dine here before closing and got a reservation, definitely will have a lovely dining experience and your stomach will be full by end of the night.

Husband and I tried Nami Kaze in our recent trip to Hawaii. This place is huge! I was so glad to be…read moreseated in the side room because I found it to be a lot calmer, less people and no TV. The staff were friendly and very helpful with giving us recommendations. We ordered 3 appetizers and 2 entrees, and honestly it was too much food for us. We had leftovers for breakfast the next day! - For appetizers we got: Ulu Tots, Japanese Eggplant, and Corn Beignets. The Corn Beignets was the best. - For entree we got: Tomato Miso Black Cod and the Short Rib. Both were delicious and worth a try. Sad to see that this restaurant appears to be closing.
