My family and I had been waiting for this place to open and we went the first week. The food was very good, but service was very new and lacked experience. One server was on top of her game, so I am hopeful service will improve with time. Due to this reason, I ordered the bento box and it was the last to come to the table. While everyone else had sushi, my food with the salmon and tempura was very cold. My miso soup never came. The gangster roll was delicious and I enjoyed the California roll. Two rolls never came to the table so we had to cancel. I will definitely come back in about a month once all the kinks have worked their way through. Never again. My daughter and I went to eat dinner here this evening and we ordered lots of food. When her miso soup came out, it was ice cold and extremely salty to where we couldn't even eat it. Not a huge deal. It was just a side soup. I ordered the Japanese curry. I tasted it and it tasted extremely salty as well. I tried another bite to mix it in to see if it was just a certain spot. It was absolutely super salty. You couldn't eat it whatsoever. I called the waitress over and I told her this was really salty. She said I don't know why it would be so salty. It's just a powder mixed with water that we do. I let her know it was still entirely too salty and then I was sending it back. I gave her the plate back and then when it was time to check out, she told me she was still going to be charging me for the plate, but she would give me a 20% discount off that plate. I said I took two bites from it and I gave you the entire plate back Why in the world would you be charging me 80% of that plate When I sent it back barely touched. She said well our policy is if you even take one bite a bit we still have to charge you for it. I said how else are we supposed to know if it was salty or not if we didn't have one bite of it. She said well that's just the managers policy. I asked to speak with a manager and she never brought one to the table. She then offered 50% off off of that plate that I sent back, I said absolutely not. I gave you the entire plate back. It was terrible. Then another waitress came and gave me my bill. I said was it taken care of? She said yeah and then walked away. Manager never came I was never checked on, no apologies, nothing. The staff seemed miserable. Not friendly whatsoever. And the food was extremely salty. And the fact she told me their Japanese curry is just made from a powder and water mix proves that it's not worth going back to. read more

It's a cute little place with very good sushi. They often have good beers on tap and very good teas. The rolls are delicious. Finally a good ramen spot on the west side. The tonkotsu ramen ($12) and spicy ramen ($12) were both really good. The noodles had a perfect chew, the broth was good and flavor all around was good. The egg was overcooked to the point of being hard boiled but it's hard to get a properly cooked ramen egg in Albuquerque. I had a Tuna roll ($7) which was good and all the rolls I saw had amazing presentation but I did not try them. Also they had Sapporo on tap for $5. Service was fairly good but they forgot about us when it was time to cash out. And ambiance is okay, I think the lights are too bright and should be a warmer light and dimmer. I was extremely excited to finally try this place & it was the worst service I've ever had unfortunately. I have never walked out of a place but I felt so uncomfortable me and my boyfriend had to walk out. The bartender (who has wearing a hat, I'm not sure her name) was extremely rude from the very beginning. She was sitting in the corner when we walked in and treated us like we were interrupting her break. There was no urgency, no welcoming. She walked over and asked if we were ready to order before even asking if we wanted anything to drink?! Hello, we're sitting at the bar? We order our drinks and the beer my boyfriend ordered just ran out as she was filling up his cup, so she needed to switch out the bar tank. We understand that happens. After the 8 - 10 minutes after switching the tank she starts to fill the beer that had been sitting there instead of getting a new fresh beer? When my boyfriend politely asked for a fresh beer she gave more attitude, when she delivered the fresh drink my boyfriend said thank you i appreciate you and she didn't say anything. After that she started slowing cleaning up and never checked on us again to order food until we started to get annoyed. Finally she asked if we needed help and we were just ready to leave. I am not going to spend my money somewhere like that. I've never had worse service or felt more uncomfortable anywhere. As someone who works in customer service, do better. The other girl who was working seemed nice and stressed out trying to tend to other tables. On top of it all, it wasn't that busy. Worst online order service! Placed order and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I went to pick up about 35 minutes after placing order and waited at the host desk for almost 10 minutes and a patron who was seated told the staff I was there. Almost 40 minutes after ordering by this point and it wasn't even ready. I then waited another 20 minutes and politely asked if they would comp one of the two items I ordered and was told the best I they could do was 20%. To top it off the food was less than par.
