This place is fairly small, tucked away, but it's actually been around for over a decade! Inside, Rosemary Grill has plenty of seating around the front counter where you order, admire the cooking process in the back, inspect the menu, and even see their hot sauce that has been featured on Hot Ones! Jacquee treated us so well there--her team works very hard to cook everything! There were quite a lot of takeout orders before ours, so we waited a bit of a while, but it was all worth it! We ordered a chicken kebab wrap, a veggie skewer, a mixed combo plate, and a falafel plate! We didn't have a favorite--we loved everything; we dipped everything edible in the hummus and adored the quality of the vegetables (the eggplant being a favorite) and meat (all of them were a 10/10). It's a fast-casual spot serving Mediterranean, Persian, and Iranian food, and you can actually see the kebabs grilling over fire when you walk in such a good sign. The place is spacious with plenty of seating, and the portions were way bigger than expected. Everything came out nicely presented and super filling. We ordered the Rosemary Special Kebab, Salmon Kebab, and Chicken Kebab, and honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. My salmon was perfectly cooked and it was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. I stopped by for lunch. The staff was very friendly and they offered a few lunch specials. The portions were quite generous and a good value. I opted for the Lamb Gyro. Basically it's kind of the standard Gyro sandwich wrap. The meat was typical gyro (I think that most of the restaurants buy processed meat , which comes as a cone which they slice off a gyro rotisserie or pre-sliced meat). Nothing special, but it was ok. The price was reasonable for the times we live in (all restaurant food has gone way up in price). The restaurant was clean. You're not coming here for the atmosphere. Thankfully they give two containers: one with hummus and another with incredibly potent garlic spread (it would seriously ward off vampires; I still have garlic breath 4 hours after lunch lol). Even if you order to eat in, it looks like everything will be served mostly in foil containers/to go containers (at least that's what I saw other customers eating from), so I feel like it's a better place for takeout. Check out their lunch specials, which are a great value and are available up until 3:30 PM. The "family platter" of appetizers is extraordinary. They make a wonderful and crunchy fresh falafel, a delicious baba ganoosh, creamy hummus and their dolma are excellent. I also liked the mixed grill items and rice that we ordered. The one thing that I found very disappointing was the fesenjān, which is normally my favorite Persian dish. Their version is very watery and more like a sauce than a stew; it's available in a vegetarian version. I asked for a chicken version and basically it was just pieces of grilled chicken on the side which you were supposed to pour the sauce over. I've never had fesenjān with this consistency. It just tasted watery and off, and I couldn't even eat it. I don't recommend their fesenjān. Otherwise, I loved everything else and the service in particular with a smile was so nice. The chicken is soft, juicy, and great quality--never dry--and it's not overly garlicky or loaded with onions like a lot of Mediterranean food can be. I've had Rosemary Grill twice and both times have been really solid and enjoyable. I've had the combo kabob and koobideh plates and it was a reasonably sized portion for the price. I really enjoyed the koobideh as it was juicy and packed with flavor, more than the kabobs. Maybe because the spices were mixed into the meat rather than a rub or brined. The plates come with rice, pita, and a side salad. Accompaniments to the meat as that's really the star but you also need the garlic dip and hummus. While eating at the restaurant, the server was super friendly and also provided us with samples of their hot sauces. They were unique hot sauces that were not necessarily Mediterranean in any way, but it was nice to see that they were trying things out and it still had a kick to it so it was nonetheless enjoyable to put a little dab on the meat. I would recommend Rosemary Grill for a quick meal. It is a no frills place that feels very mom and pop so happy to support them. read more
