Good food and service. We took the food to go so didn't experience the service but the guy at the counter was helpful and everything came out quickly. Only complaint is that the naan is nothing like I've had in India or any other Indian restaurants before--it did not have any crisp bread texture or blacked bits and instead came out with a wet, oily crumb, more like fry bread. read more

Along with other reviews here, we were completely wowed. The food, service, and prices were fantastic. The cauliflower app was so good I may come back and just get a few of those for a meal. Since the reviews were mostly positive, I decided to try Tandoori Kitchen for lunch. Well, I am sorry to say that we were not impressed, both with the food and the atmosphere. Inside, there are booths, tables and a bar which is the focal point as far as decor goes. Actually, the bar is basically the decor because otherwise, the restaurant could use a serious makeover. Still it would be ok if the food could make up for the lack of character of the place. Prices are reasonable, and the $10 lunch buffet is difficult to beat. While the selection of food offered is nice, I wish the quality was better. I had the buffet and my son ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala a la carte. The tandoori chicken (from the buffet) was very dry and most sauces quite runny. It was interesting to compare the Chicken Tikka Masala from the buffet to the one ordered on the menu. The one from the buffet was watery (like the rest of the dishes from the buffet cooked in a sauce), while the chicken ordered separately had that rich thick sauce you expect to get. Naans are also displayed with the buffet and I got the last one sitting there, not bad tasting considering that it was not fresh. But I will admit I got spoiled as the various Indian buffet places I've been too lately all bring you naans to the table. So, this was unfortunately a disappointing experience for us. Well the buffet doesn't have much to offer compared to other places we've been and we really do feel like it could use more flavor and more spice. The Tandoori Chicken was really dang good though as were most of the veggie dishes. Just not much selection. Also they don't offer soy substitutes or lassies or masalas. This sucks for me since I can't do dairy. They offer dairy free options yes, but I really wanted chicken tikka masala made with coconut cream. Oh we, we will be back soon. I love that the menu shows what's Gluten Free and Dairy Free! It made it easy for me to quickly find the DF+GF options that I need, and there were several! They get me. I really appreciate it when restaurants take that extra step. In terms of flavor and authenticity, this is my favorite Indian restaurant in Boulder County (Boulder itself is a lost cause). We were impressed by everything we ordered: Vegetable pakora appetizer, lamb vindaloo, aloo gobi (potatoes and cauliflower), and chicken Indian karahi. The service was friendly and fast. Great gluten free selection! Ordered pakora, tandoori chicken, korma, tikka, orange chicken, and raita. Everything was excellent. My first time, so I Ordered spice level 3, which was mild, not spicy at all. If you like spice, go for the full 5. Sufficient rice was provided for the sauciness of each dish. Servings are not large - they come in pint containers for takeout, so keep that in mind when ordering. read more

Did the contactless drive up option to pick up my food, and it was really quick and easy. They asked what my car looked like and it was ready when I pulled up. Every thing was really well sealed so I didn't have to worry about spillage. I shared the chicken Tikka masala with my husband and an order of the garlic cheese naan. I think they accidentally gave us plain naan- I didn't taste any garlic or cheese. The masala sauce had a citrus-y tang to it that made it stand out from other sauces I tried. I went with mild heat and probably could have stepped it up to medium if I was feeling daring. All around an excellent experience and I would absolutely come back. read more

This might be my new favorite Indian place. My husband and I usually frequent Yak and Yeti but they've raised their prices so much it's not worth it anymore. We found Tandori's food to be very fresh and as my husband put it "it was made with heart". Lots of vegetarian options on the buffet. We got takeout tonight and everything was absolutely delicious! The vegetable samosas were huge and perfectly crunchy on the outside. Garlic nan, soft and crispy. Mango chutney is a great add on, has some spice to it. For entrees we went with 2, Malabar and Indian Karachi. Huge portions, we have more than enough for lunch or dinner tomorrow. For desert we picked Galab Jamun. It's an Indian delicacy, I could eat 10 of them- don't pass these up. When you order online you can pick the spice level and choose your meat, tofu or veggies. We're vegan and found lots and lots of choices. The whole experience down to the happy server who ran out to our car in the snow, was 5 star. For being a buffet place the food is good and didn't seem to sit too long untouched. The manager wants very much that this place runs smoothly. The waiter we had was terrible and all he had to do was take drink orders. He fell short on that by miles as he first forgot us, then got our drink order completely turned around. Our drinks arrived after we had finished eating. Part of our group went for a bit more food as we tried to cancel our drink order but were told they were on their way out. As buffets go the good food is solid, the staff not so much. I'll hI've them another try, but it will be awhile before I do so. read more

I was happy to see a new Indian restaurant not too far away. I live in Erie and had a craving for Indian food tonight. I tried the chicken korma and a side of naan bread. It was very good and I look forward to trying their other Indian dishes. I would have given them 5 stars if the waiter was more attentive. I was nearly finished with my meal when he finally came over and checked on me. I was out of water and he apologized. I was just surprised because it was a slow night and for a new restaurant you'd think they would really make sure the service is always good. I'll be back! 12/13/19. Comfortable space, can handle maybe one large group of people (6+) at one but ample seating for parties of 2-4. Too many great dishes to specify. Definitely worth checking out. UPDATE a year later... I have been to Tandoori Kitchen twice and have had a fantastic meal each time. Tonight, we started with Samosas as appetizers and as expected, they were delicious! They brought us sauces for us to experiment with and I would highly recommend them! I believe one of them was a sweet plum sauce and the other was a cilantro chutney. Delicious!! I got the vegetable Korma, my boyfriend got the paneer Tikka Masala. I wish I would have taken some photos of how delicious and beautiful our meals were! The staff is attentive; even with Door Dash and take out orders coming in. They can get busy but they always take their time to check on you, make sure your food is what you wanted and to keep your water glass topped off. I haven't been here for their lunch buffet... yet! Meh... Onion bhaji appetizer came out room temp. Garlic naan also came out room temp and about seven minutes before our food so it was cold by the time we got to it. Fish vindaloo had an interesting taste; Kind of tangy and maybe a bit tinny. Fish vindaloo is my go to dish with Indian food, and this one just did not taste right. On top of all that, it was not very flavorful. Kind of bland. I ordered an iced tea and the waiter forgot it. After my second request, when he did bring it over, it just tasted like colored water. No flavor. The prices are fair. The lunch plate for $11 is a decent value I guess as it comes with one piece of onion bhaji, some Chana masala, whatever entrée you choose, a couple of fresh vegetable pieces, and something else I don't remember. My fish vindaloo with $16 and that is pretty normal across the board for fish vindaloo at most any Indian restaurant. Zaika is a touch more expensive but the food at Zaika is unbelievably good. Not sure all about the rave reviews here and the five star ratings?? I'm not sure if we would come back here or not. I think if we're up on this end of town, we might just make the extra drive and go to Zaika. read more

It seemed like they were not aware of our order either because I said my name and they seemed confused and then we waited 15+ minutes for it to be ready. I ordered Tikka masala and my husband ordered a curry, both at medium level. The tikka was flavorless and had zero spice or heat. Sort of tasted like a bowl of tomato soup for babies. The curry had no spice either and was watery. Chicken was rubbery. We moved up here from Denver and next time we will head down there for Himchuli (1000x better and more flavorful). read more

My wife and I went after driving around trying to figure out what we wanted for dinner. Both of us saying "I'll eat whatever", "You choose", "I don't care", etc... We saw Tandoori Kitchen and were reminded of the Yelp reviews we had seen in the past. We walked in and were greeted by the owner who was training his son. He is a great man who wants to make sure you are happy. We ordered a drink and settled in with the menu. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Baigan Bharta, Samosa Chat, and a bunch of naan. It was all DELICIOUS!!! The rice was perfect, the Chicken Tikka was spicy, creamy and cooked to perfection. The garlic naan had a ton of garlic. We will be back again and again and again. read more

I was here for lunch this afternoon and really liked the food. The buffet menu was simple but plenty of options for everyone. I am a vegetarian but I saw a good variety of dishes for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian eaters. Food was fresh and presented well. A typical buffet menu consists of naan, rice, biryani, noodles, 2-3 vegetarian curries and 2-3 non vegetarian curries, a veg starter, nv starter and desserts. Totally worth it for $9.99 Advice to the management: 1. Not a lot of Indian places offer this kind of buffet around here for this price point so please keep it going. 2.
