This review is for their take out service to eat Ordered the Brisket Seollangtang, because I was in the mood for some noodles and something soupy. It came with a container of rice, green onions, sides of banchan like fishcake, broccoli, kimchi and soy sauce pickled onion, the smallest serving of noodles and bone broth. The portion of broth was perfect with the rice but the amount of noodles was comical, it was about a soup spoon full of noodles. They provided banchan but failed to provide salt and pepper. Their kimchi is on the saltier side. Seollangtang needs to be dressed up to your preferences or else it'll be on the bland side.

A few slices of thin beef brisket was given as well. Definitely not the best Seollantang or take out I've had. The price was steep for the meal. Would recommend ordering something else if you do opt for take out. Ordering however...

I come here a lot for yuk gae jang but also the sulleongtang beef brisket soup. It is so comforting and one portion is two meals for me. There is a generous amount of banchan that is high quality. I will always come when I'm in the area.

Plenty of free parking on a Sunday around noon. The retardant wasn't too busy upon arrival, but did start to fill up within 30 minutes of being seated. was greeted immediately and seated. Our server was very prompt. The restaurant didn't feel too loud once it began to fill up. Good was delivered very promptly after we ordered. Loved the pork bulgogi. Our rice was slightly on the mushy side, but was fine once we paired it with the tofu soup. Loved the green onion pancake and Banchan. Great flavors. Hearty portions.

Tang Tang Tang has become Tang Jip. The interior remains unchanged but the menu has been revamped. We went on a rainy afternoon after all the other Korean restaurants take their break. Since they are open all day Tang Jip catches all the overflow. During our lunch they were at least 50% full. Their staff including the robot was trying to keep up with all the orders. The menu has most of the Korean classic items. We ordered the following Sul lung tang 4 stars just ok Seafood pancake 5 stars large portion lots of seafood crispy edges Jap Chae 4 stars ok Service was ok considering how busy it was . Food from the kitchen did take some time to get out. Plenty of parking in the park n save shopping center.

Their lunch special rate is a pretty good deal especially if you're hungry. Their prices are not overly expensive and their menu is enough to have different options. The places just opened when I came in a few days ago so I was the first customer. Their restrooms are at the back by the kitchen, it's just one hallway so you won't miss it. Food wise, my soup was great, paired with rice. They only have white rice. As for their sides, I enjoyed most of it but the kimchi and raddish were overly fermented. The food was carried one of those like Bellabots then served to the table by the staff. The restaurant is in a plaza so there's plenty of parking

After a long day of afternoon golf my friends and I decided on dinner as nearby Tang Jip. One of my friends frequents this restaurant as he works close by in Walnut Creek. Parking near the restaurant is more than ample so it was quite easy. The restaurant itself was quite crowded for a Sunday evening. Eventually the crowd moved on. Service was excellent and the food was very good. We ordered the seafood pancake, an army stew and a double order of the pork belly. My only complaints are the army stew seemed lacking in terms of meat and the seafood pancake lacked in the amount of seafood. The pork belly on the other hand was the most excellent. The ban chan was also limited to 5 items only. I am curious of some of the other dishes and would not mind checking them out at a later time.

Concord used to have a handful of Korean restaurants back in the late 90s, but the Park & Shop complex now has three! Among them, Tang Jip has easily become our favorite. Korean cuisine is not limited to barbecue, and that is what Tang Jip represents. They have tang, jjim, jjigae, myeon, and more. Japchae - It's really difficult not to try some of those chewy and delicious sweet potato noodles! This had a good balance between the sugar and the soy flavors and had the right amount of sesame oil. It also had wood-ear mushrooms so we really enjoyed the chewy texture of this dish. Soon Tofu (Soondubu) and LA Galbi Combo - This was the first combo dish that we tried here and it was very good especially for the price. The beef ribs were well-marinated and were grilled medium-well while the soft tofu stew was flavorful. Perfect way to try two dishes right away. We wanted to get the Naengmyeon and LA Galbi Combo, but the japchae already took care of our noodle craving. Bossam - One of the reasons we love Tang Jip is because they have small portions of bossam (boiled pork belly) and jokbal (braised pork trotters) in their menu. Since it was just my wife and me who ate the first time we went here, we decided to go with the bossam. The pork belly was thinly sliced and had a very small amount of fat. It was already tasty, but the accoutrements it came with - radish (both the sweet and the spicy salad), garlic/jalapeño, lettuce, ssamjang, and the salted shrimp - made this even more enjoyable. We tried a lot of combinations wrapping the pork and it was best with the musaengchae (spicy radish salad), garlic, and the ssamjang. We ended up getting the Naengmyeon and LA Galbi Combo on our next visit and their Bibim Naengmyeon (spicy cold buckwheat noodles) was very refreshing on a hot summer day. We also got to try a small serving of their Jokbal and I liked this more than the bossam because it was cooked with the skin on and the gelatinous texture was amazing. It was also more aromatic and had a richer flavor. The Garlic Bossam was fine, but I preferred fresh garlic over the garlic paste. We've been back a few more times with our daughters and son-in-law and also with our friends. Service has always been very friendly and accommodating. The place is clean and roomy so there's more wiggle room for everyone. Maybe the parking can be a bit of a challenge at times, but we've always enjoyed coming here. It would have been great if we had Tang Jip when we lived near the area, but it will always be a good reason to swing by this neck of the woods occassionally.

May have found my new favorite spot! Stopped by for a quick lunch for 1 & couldn't have been happier. The place is very clean, it was pretty quiet in there. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. My daughter was invited to a birthday party at Urban Air and so we came here for lunch afterwards. We were starving when we came around 2:30 and surprisingly, the place was pretty busy even at this time. My daughter got the rose tteokboki and it was delicious, not too spicy and the tteok was tender, chewy, perfectly cooked and it was the long tteok that's so fun to eat, almost noodle like. The tofu soup wasn't very impressive, I found the depth of flavor in the broth was lacking. It wasn't as spicy as I'd hoped it'd be, even though I ask for it extra extra spicy. I would love to come back and try their other stews, it seems like a popular place. The service was great and they have the robots that come out with the food. The service was good and ambience is very nice. Definitely recommend, but maybe don't get the tofu soup.

Neither my wife or I have ever had Korean food before and I had some "InKind" credit and I saw they accept it, so we decided to give it a try. Our waiter took the time to explain things to us, again, we are now to the food and made some suggestions. We had the beef Bulgogi and noodle / beef dish that I cannot remember the name of, both were very good. They bring out 5 small side dishes along the the items you order. Tang Jip is one of those restaurants where you crave a specific dish that you can't find just anywhere, for me, it's the rosé tteok-boki. Craving satisfied as of now. We also ordered items that I haven't tried yet, which were pretty good & I'd definitely get again: 1) kimchi pancake 2) chicken bulgogi I was initially worried that the chicken would be dry, but it was great! The kimchi pancake was delicious as well, especially with their dipping sauce. As for service, they usually have two guys taking orders, so there is sometimes a wait -- Especially for today, a Friday night. Additionally, there seems to be some operational work for the restaurant to look into: One customer came in right before us and they happened to add themselves to the Yelp Waitlist, however, when you arrive, there is also a paper waitlist being maintained. So this made it quite confusing for both the host and customer around when to slot them in for a seat. Fortunately, several tables opened up. I do like this restaurant! But I'd definitely go during lunch hours when there are way less people.

Saw this place today after trying Korea house down the way last week. Everything looked really nice inside and they have a cool little robot that helps the servers carry your order to you. We ordered one of the combos, the tofu soup and bulgogi along with an order of bimbimbap. Usually, the bimbimbap is served on a ripping hot plate so that it can form a nice crunchy bottom from the rice. This rice came in pretty wet. Therefore no crunchy bottom . The bulgogi is also usually suppose to come in ripping hot as well. Well, this one came in warm. They may have some other orders that were better, but I think we came in on an "off" day and it just didn't live up to the hype the decor brought to the place.

I love this place! It's in the Park-N-Shop plaza with a bunch of other Korean restaurants but I feel like it's just a solid lunch/dinner choice. Definitely can be a wait during weekend dinner times too. I believe this is owned by Ohgane KBBQ but they don't offer AYCE, just a variety of other Korean dishes like soondubu, seolleongtang, ddukbokki, and bbq plates. The service is quick, friendly and there's a robot that comes out to help with food too. There's a good variety of bonchon and prices are average for the area. Definitely a great place to check out.

We have been here twice, the first time we had a terrible experience. We got there at 9:15. The waiter was so rude, trying to get us to leave as fast as he could. As soon as he put the food down here asked us to pay right away. We asked if we can eat first and he said no it's late so you have to pay now. The food was good so we decided to give it another try and it took them about for 40 minutes to bring out the food. Then we asked for bowls for our soup took them 15 minutes to bring it. After we finished our food no one came for us to get our check. We had to go up and pay it ourselves. Severally under staffed. The food is ok. The seafood pancake is a bit oily and more green onions than I'm used too and a bit burnt on the outside and raw in the inside. Size is large. Wish they didn't place it on a plastic dish. We also ordered the grilled mackerel.. that was very good. We also ordered the BBQ chicken and it was not as flavorful as if they did not marinate it long enough or maybe they just poured sauce over it after cooking unmarinated chicken. It tasted more like black pepper seasoning than the marinade I'm used to. The Kimchee was not fermented at all and tasted bland and not sour at all as if they made it a few hours ago. The radish kimchee and the other sides were good. The atmosphere is loud since they have 2 large screens of K-pop music/dancing going on the whole time.. like a bar. This is suitable for a large group to come in for a casual meal and not for any quaint ambinance. The lighting is also flourescent bright white. I give it 4 stars since the waiter was very hospitable. We liked that they served roasted barley tea without having to ask for it. But no one came to ask us if we needed anything more like refilling the side dishes or rice. I would give the food 3 stars. The place is doing very well and I hope the food improves and the restaurant thrives and provides yummy Korean food for the locals. read more

I took my mom to Tang Jip for what we thought would be a nice dinner. We walked in at 8:30 PM, aware that they closed at 9 PM, but being respectful, I even offered a 20% tip upfront to show appreciation for them accommodating us. What we experienced, however, was the most disrespectful and rude service I've ever encountered. The waiter, Kyle, immediately made us feel unwelcome. When we ordered a Korean hot pot, instead of simply taking the order, he had the nerve to say, "That's the kind of food you can finish quickly," as if we were inconveniencing him by ordering. We brushed it off and reassured him we'd do our best, but things went downhill fast. At exactly 9 PM, right as we were finishing our meal, Kyle stormed over with takeout boxes, interrupting us and demanding, "Can you pack up your food? We're closing." No courtesy, no politeness--just plain rude. Still, I stayed calm and kindly asked if he could help us pack up, since we had a lot of food. His response? "I'm not getting paid to help you box the food," followed by rolling his eyes and throwing a spoon into our hot pot with an attitude that left my mom in shock. Yes, you read that right--THREW the spoon into the pot. When I told him to show some respect, he had the audacity to argue with me, right in front of my mom, trying to kick us out without so much as an apology. The manager? Absolutely useless. Instead of stepping in and correcting his staff's unprofessional behavior, the manager just shrugged and made excuses, saying Kyle was "new" and didn't know any better. What kind of place lets their employees treat paying customers like this and gets away with a weak excuse? It's beyond infuriating that a restaurant would tolerate such blatant disrespect toward customers. I've never seen anything like it. Do yourself a favor--skip this place. Tang Jip clearly doesn't care about their customers, and the disrespectful staff will ruin what could've been a good meal. read more

Its the best korean cuisine ever ive ever tried around concord area. Especially, galbee, Rose tteokboggi, galbitang were so tasty... So comfy, so clean like authentic korean environment. Servers are the best! So attentive and nice all the time checking our table and refilling our side dishes and water. The tall woman with blonde hair she was legit! She knows how to serve people. We liked that all the utensils are on the table (bowls, chopsticks, spoons, scissors) as well as hand wipes. Of the dishes we ordered, the Mul Naengmyeon was a favorite. The Japchae and the mackerel were also very good. The Bossam meat was on the dry side, so I would not order this again. Service was very good and they replenished the Banchan readily (broccoli; fish cakes, wood mushrooms, and two types of kimchi. We would definitely return. read more

Their Sundubu was not authentic as the one I normally eat in S. Korea. Somehow it has lots of white onions and makes soup awkwardly sweeter even though I ordered it spicy. It should only be green onions.Also the seafood inside were very small ones, totally different as it looks on the menu photo. Doesn't worth money. read more

Newly opened (with a change of ownership) restaurant in concord! I tried their galbi tang and scallion pancakes and they were both very similar in taste to the ones Ive had in Korea! Lots of places nearby skimp on the scallions and have mostly just batter but this place packs the scallions in just like how it's traditionally made. The service was a little slow since it was super busy on the weekend but the servers were very kind. read more

When I politely asked whether it would be possible to move to one of the open booths, the hostess responded in a rude and aggressive manner. The manager noticed that we seemed unhappy and asked about our experience, which I appreciated. He also appeared to have a talk with the hostess who politely sad goodbye when we left. However, throughout our visit, I observed other parties of the dominant majority being seated in the available booths while we remained at our table despite our request to move. One family even had children jumping around breaking glasses. While those that were similarly identifiable as us were also seated to the side. The food was also disappointing. Our pizza arrived in about five minutes, which made it seem rushed, and unfortunately two members of our party became ill afterward with symptoms consistent with food poisoning. Between the poor customer service, seating experience, and concerns about food quality, I would not return and cannot recommend this restaurant.

As one of the newer Korean restaurants around, it has quickly garnered attention, and for good reason. From the moment you walk in, the bustling atmosphere is palpable. This place fills up fast, so arriving early or being prepared to wait is a smart move. Fortunately, the wait is more than worth it. Tang Jip's Banchan, the array of small side dishes that accompany Korean meals, is exceptional. Each dish is flavorful and fresh, offering a delightful start to the meal. Another highlight is the seafood pancake, crispy on the outside and packed with savory seafood, making it a must-try appetizer. However, the true star of Tang Jip is the Galbijimm. This hearty dish is a feast for the senses, generously packed with tender beef, thick rice noodles, chewy rice cakes, and a medley of vegetables. We celebrated Chinese new year at Tang Jip Korean Restaurant in Concord and, to tell you the truth, had an overall average experience. The food was decent, with some highlights like the hot stone bibimbap, which was flavorful and satisfying (mmmm, with that crust). The banchan was also a nice touch, with a few of the marinades standing out as particularly tasty. However, the service was pretty dry. The only standout was the polite robot serving the tables, which was an interesting touch, but it didn't make up for the lack of personal interaction. The interior was very casual, almost old-school, which didn't add much to the atmosphere. One strange thing was that the check never came to our table, so we had to go to the register to pay. Tang Jip in Concord is a Korean food haven that's perfect for any occasion, even with a large party! The atmosphere is electric, with K-pop playing on TVs that create a vibrant, fun vibe. They bring out the banchan as soon as you sit, and I love how quickly they refill it--such attentive service! The food is packed with rich, bold flavors that leave you craving more. My son was obsessed with the robot delivering food to the table, adding a cool, modern touch. Tang Jip handles large groups seamlessly, making it a fantastic spot for gatherings. It was an incredible Korean food experience of mine! Me and my few friends hung out on holiday weekends. We seated pretty fast even though It was fully packed. - First of all, the food we ordered was an amazing taste! And also we got it pretty fast. - Second of all, The customer service! The servers are so fast and attentive! They always check our tables, they are happy to help us. -Third of all, place is so clean and neat! Spotless! Very disappointing experience at this restaurant. We ordered the galbi jjim, the beef was extremely chewy and tasted like it was made with day-old meat that had been reheated. It lacked the tender, flavorful quality you'd expect from such a dish. We also ordered the soondubu, and it was incredibly sour, as if it had been sitting for two days. This completely ruined the dish for me I was excited to try this place, but the quality of the food was subpar. I hope the restaurant takes steps to ensure their dishes are fresh and meet the standards of authentic Korean cuisine. read more

This place is legit! I wish they could open a place in San Ramon or Dublin too ! (Hint hint!) The food was top-notch--we ordered the pork bossam, which was a steal for the price and quality. While it didn't come with the cabbage as expected, it was still incredibly tasty. The bulgogi and rib soup were also excellent. The side dishes were fantastic, adding to the overall meal. The restaurant was clean, with nice decor, and I appreciated the sanitary wipes at the table. Plus, the food came out super quick. Definitely a spot worth visiting! read more

This restaurant is located in the Willow Oass shopping center right next to JoAnn Fabrics. This has a lot of competition since this mall also has Ohgane and Korea House which are also very good Korean restaurants. read more

Decent food place. Their pork dish was delicious. Soup was ok (got the bone broth soup with brisket). We ordered the squid but it never came out. Sad :( Overall good experience. read more
