Great place to come to for breakfast or brunch! They have so many options to choose from which is great for group settings. We ordered flatbreads, avocado toast, chilaquiles that came with a side of potato's and beans, açaí bowl, ube pancakes, coffee, mimosas etc. this place has it all. The service wasn't too bad and we were satisfied overall with everything.

I came here on a Saturday for lunch- food was good, fresh and had fast service. The menu is a bit eclectic-- american, asian, mexican dishes. My daughter was excited to get a smoothie. It's tucked away in the Ralph's shopping center near the car wash- I had to look around to find it. I would consider it on my rotation list for easy items when i"m in the area.

We have been driving by Tappi's Cafe for many years. It was always closed. We have never bother looking up the place and realizing its hours is like Broken Yolk; they close at 3pm. Anyways, when I finally got smart and looked up the menu, I was intrigued to see they have Japanese Soufflé. So we stopped by Saturday morning, and we were pleasantly impressed. When you walk in, you are greeted right away. It's a quaint spot with cute decor. They have a few 2 and 4 tops. They were pretty strict with not allowing a party of 2 to sit on a table for 4. This made the table cramped as we got our entrees and had our bottle of wine. Our servers name was Valentina. She was great I came in to order the Japanese soufflé but they had ran out, and they also didn't have German pancakes. I was bummed but decided on the same dish as Tim and we both ordered Steak & Eggs Benedict. As we were enjoying our mimosas and great conversation, either the staffer or the owner came in with bags of ingredients. Valentina came back to our table to let me know that I can order Japanese soufflé if I still wanted it. And of course I said YES! And let me tell you it was SOOO good. It doesn't have the same shape or texture on the top as you would expect. It had a light crust. It was sweet and so delicious. Since we were indulging we also ordered one of their specialty dessert - Biscoff Crepe Noodles. It was heavenly. If you haven't been here, you have got to stop by.

I finally had the chance to try Tappi's Café, a little spot I've always noticed but never had the opportunity to visit until now. I wanted to find a new breakfast place with quality food, and thought, why not Tappi's? I suggested it to my daughter, and she happily agreed. It's a smaller café, but cozy, charming, and simply chic, the kind of place that instantly feels welcoming. Their menu offers a nice variety of creative dishes, which made it hard to choose! I ordered the Egg Tacos, which sounded fun and different, along with a side of potatoes. My daughter went with the Steak and Egg Burrito. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and efficient. Our food came out quickly and was beautifully presented. You can tell care goes into every plate. We both enjoyed our meals immensely! The flavors were fresh, balanced, and perfectly cooked. If I could make one small suggestion, it would be to serve a slightly larger portion of potatoes on the side; they were delicious but I wanted more! Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The service, ambiance, and food were all perfect. Tappi's Café truly is a little treasure in Rancho San Diego, and I can't wait to come back again soon.

Yes , we found a new Breakfast place .. Do make reservations as the place is a little small . Initial service was good . The coffee was delightful and plenty , I asked for a to go cup as I couldn't drink it all . We ordered our food and my son and I received our food . I was waiting for my husband to get his food but he insisted on me eating while it was hot . Good decision to do so . I finished my breakfast and he still was waiting for his food . I had to ask the waitress what was the status on his food and apologized it was taking awhile . It was way too long . The food was good , I would like to see a kids menu. The bacon is a little pricey , two strips for $7 . Overall service needs attention.

Tappi's Cafe located in Rancho San Diego in a shopping center located in the same parking lot as the car wash. It appears to be a fusion of Mediterranean and Asian cuisine. Extremely small venue that offers indoor and outdoor seating. They may be able to accommodate a party of 8 at the most but, it will be a tight fit. Customer service was amazing and so was the food! I did not care for their cherry latte at all. It had a very unpleasant flavor. We ordered: Shakshuka - Delish (Mediterranean) Menemen - Delish (Mediterranean) Japanese souffle - Light, fluffy, and delish Ube pancake - Delish We will definitely be back to try more dishes!

Presentation is amazing! The hollandaise sauce has a unique taste (very good). The ham isn't the traditional think slice, they service it with several thin cut slices. I like it. Potatoes are crispy and soft. I enjoyed my experience.

Yum! The Japanese soufflé took about 20 minutes to arrive which is standard. These generally take longer to cook based on my experiences at other restaurants. When the pancakes finally arrived, they looked beautiful and were delightful to eat. They were light, fluffy, moist and not too sweet. They tasted slightly eggy, but still very good. I also had a Turkish coffee which was strong. The ambiance was casual and comfortable. Service was friendly. Overall, it was a 4.5 star experience. They have some interesting menu items and if I'm in the area again, I would consider returning.

What a great little Cafe! Our server was the sweetest, full of advice and insight. We had Turkish coffee for the first time. That was an interesting experience, I was a bit wired for the next 4 hours. The flavor was very different than anything I've ever had. Coffee that tastes like tea is how I would explain it We ordered a japanese fluffy egg sandwich with kafta, khachapuri with beef and cheese and the special. I loved both of the Mediterranean dishes. The cheese on the khachapuri was so delicious the bread was crispy but soft. The special came in a cast iron pan, sort of a breakfast pot pie with bread that tasted like Naan. The eggs were perfectly poached in a light but flavorful tomato sauce. I would probably pass on the breakfast sandwich next time. I love japanese fluffy eggs but the eggs were cooked in the grease of the kafta making it unappealing to me. Great brunch spot, don't sleep on this place!

My family and I were craving some soufflé pancakes. We used to go to Morning Glory, but Little Italy is a nightmare for parking- especially on a Saturday morning. (Not to mention the hour+ wait) I searched yelp for some soufflé pancakes and found Tappi's Cafe. Not only is it closer to us, but tons of parking! It was relaxing and cozy, not stuffy or pretentious. We got seated right away, and all the staff were very attentive. We loved our server Valentina, she was so sweet. She even asked me (quietly) if she could offer my toddler some candy, after our meal. All the food was delicious. My Turkish coffee was delightful and strong, exactly what I was looking for. We will absolutely be weekend morning regulars.

The drinks we ordered were the chai latte and cappuccino which were delicious. There's seating available Tokyo Sandwich was okay tasting. The farm egg breakfast plate was good but felt like they didn't give enough food. The French toast Nutella tasted like Pinesol cleaning solution. It was not edible at all. Luckily they did remove that from our bill. The ube pancake was okay but they are very stingy when it comes to syrup. They give you a big old pancake with two small one inch tubes of syrup so the pancake just tasted very dry. Although the staff were very nice the food was not so great.

What an incredible hidden gem! We were in Mexico for the weekend, and on our way back to Bay Ho, we stumbled upon this fabulous brunch spot. We were seated right away, and our server, Bebe, was fantastic--so helpful and sweet. The food and mimosa menu were absolutely amazing. I would love to have a place like this in Bay Ho! Been wanting to try this place out but haven't had time due to the hours well it was definitely worth the wait. Came in today and ordered a plate of green chilaquiles and an order of their Tappi's French toast. Both very generous portions and great presentation. Not only did the food look great but tasted great as well. Will be trying the chipotle chilaquiles next and their egg sandwiches. Coffee is also great, servers and staff were very friendly which is always a plus read more

Very disappointed.... With the high score and reviews, we were excited to visit this restaurant. We were a bit overwhelmed by the number of available options on the menu and wondered how they would be able to deliver on all of them. They did not. My cappuccino was delicious. The brewed coffee was good. No refill on the brewed coffee was offered. My side of bacon was delivered first and well ahead of any other food. My sister's meal came with no butter on the toast and no seasoning on her poached eggs. My waffle was not delivered until my sister was completely finished with her meal. I declined the waffle and requested that it be taken off our check. Instead of accepting the request and apologizing, the waitress proceeded to refute what I said and explain that it is their practice to deliver food from the kitchen as it is prepared from scratch. One consolation is that I was given the waffle to go, on the house. My suggestion is to reduce the menu and commit to delivering a smaller menu well. read more

What an absolute gem! I live in the area and have seen Tappi's but mistakenly thought it was the sushi restaurant by the same name. I happened to look on Yelp for a new breakfast place because a friend was staying with us. I was surprised to find out that this location is a cafe that serves a wonderful assortment of food at breakfast. We both got a delicious Bloody Mary and shakshuka w/sausage (sujuk) and my daughter got pancakes. Everything was absolutely fabulous. The next time I came we also tried the Turkish coffee which was my first and very delicious. I'll review more as I go back, I stayed with the same dish as I loved it so much but will branch out the next time! Service both times was very friendly and attentive. We are so thrilled to have found Tappi's and will absolutely go back! read more

I was in the mood for breakfast so I went to a new place that just opened up Tappi's in Rancho San Diego. It was a simple breakfast 2 eggs over medium bacon and home potatoes (not sure what they call them). I get back to work to enjoy my food and well it wasn't GREAT or even Decent. My eggs were cooked too hard and my potatoes were cold bacon was half way decent for all ready cooked bacon. It's a very simple breakfast hard to mess it up. But... There aren't a lot of breakfast places around the area. I'm going to give it one more shot see if they have something that they specialize in who knows I may love it. read more

I love to try new cafes and breakfast spots on the weekend and I saw this place here on Yelp. I ordered avocado toast (you can choose from white, wheat or sourdough bread-I chose wheat) and a caramel macchiato. The coffee was solid-a bit pricey at $6 but nothing more than most places charge these days. The avocado toast was a generous portion with 2 pieces of bread, tons of avocado, arugula and an egg on top-I had over medium. I would go again if in the area but it wasn't so special for me to go out of my way for. I really miss the Wrap Shack but I wish this place success! read more

I came here today for brunch with my friend. We both got a iced vanilla latte. It was really good. I'm normally picky with my coffee, but this was spot on and so good. This place just opened and we decided to give their breakfast a try. I ordered the chilaquilles and my wife got the classic eggs Benedict. Both were absolutely delicious and with the open kitchen we could literally see the care that was taken in our dishes. The service was great and our coffees where delicious as well. This is my new go-to breakfast place in Rancho San Diego. Service is friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The first time i got a scramble, the potatoes were great, they had perfect seasoning, but the eggs were a little bland. The second time I had an amazing matcha latte and got a lox Benedict which was cooked well but the combination of cream cheese and hollandaise sauce was a little much, the flavors didn't mesh the best and it tasted a little like I was just eating Mayo. I think the addition of Capers or removal of cream cheese could enhance the flavor pairing. Thus, my 4 stars is due to the fact that some of the flavor isn't quite there, though I can see the intention. This is a VERY new cafe, and because everything else was good, I will definitely be going back and continue trying other menu items as I imagine the chef will also continue working on his recipes. read more

My favorite thing about any business is great customer service! You can tell that the owner and employees care and respect their customers and make every visit an experience. Clean establishment, bomb food every single time, employees who go above and beyond and make great recommendations, the best coffee in town and an overall great experience for breakfast, brunch or lunch. My favorite is the breakfast burrito sub with kufta! My go to for drink is Iced or hot white mocha which is unmatched! I recently walked in to make a to-go coffee order and the owner noticed my son on my arm and offered him a little bag of French fries. Such a small gesture goes such a long way! Even my little guy was shocked and barely knew how to act before digging into the fries. Lol! Best customer service! Thank you to the owner and employees! Upon arrival at 11:32 AM, we experienced a delay in receiving service, requiring us to seek out our server. We subsequently ordered water and a cappuccino, with the water arriving promptly and the cappuccino expected in ten minutes. Despite this, we observed our server attending to other patrons who had been seated after us. At 12:02 PM, we placed our food order, emphasizing the need for prompt service due to the children's hunger. By 12:20 PM, we observed other guests receiving their meals before ours, despite their later orders. Consequently, my wife addressed the owner to cancel the order and pay for the cappuccino. The owner's response was perceived as dismissive and discourteous. Given these circumstances, we will not be returning to your establishment. Don't recommend this place! Horrible service didn't have oat milk or almond milk for there coffee on a Sunday morning! Also we ordered before a lot of the tables that were sitting down and they got their food before us. We waited 45 min than server came with pancakes before our eggs & other stuff 10 mins later still no food...we've been waiting for about an hour to get our food...asked the server to cancel our food! Defiantly don't recommend coming here menu looks good and all but service and management isn't all that. They defiantly need help ! Won't be coming back here again read more

This is a local gem! I would start my day here daily if I could. Incredible coffee selection that's top quality, and excellent service. My Turkish coffee was 10/10, I also got their invigorating green pressed juice shot, and a fresh squeezed orange juice that tasted incredible. Their breakfast sandwich brioche is literally the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had AND they have dessert?!? I've come here the past 2 mornings and EVERYTHING has been good. Overall, the service was good and friendly staff. However, the food wasn't great. The eggs were cooked too hard while the pancakes were undercooked left with a doughy texture.
