We used to love Tappy's, and it kills me to give a negative review but we've been consistently disappointed our last several visits. The toppings are low, there's no fresh fruit, at least one of the flavors isn't working, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the machines / store are dirty and grimy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We've tried to come back and keep giving them chances but it's a letdown more often than not.

I've been coming to Tappys Yogurt since Kindergarten and it's very nostalgic to me. One thing I've noticed though is over the years business has sort of died down. There are many flavors of yogurt here and it always tastes good. They also have little sample cups so you can try as many flavors as you want for free. The only problem I have with this place now is sometimes the toppings taste stale. The last time I went the marshmallows I got were hard and just not good. It felt as if they had been sitting out for weeks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Otherwise chill workers and a calm place to hangout with your friends and eat some good froyo.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We stopped by Tappy's Yogurt last night for some frozen yogurt. When you arrive there is plenty of parking outside the yogurt shop. Also, there are sample cups located near the register when you enter. Unfortunately, as I started to sample the different flavors, I couldn't find a flavor that I liked. I decided to order the pomegranate raspberry tart I believe and it was just okay. I mixed the tart yogurt and strawberry yogurt into my bowl to try to make the yogurt better. I may return in the future if I'm in the area and craving frozen yogurt.

They added peanut butter yogurt and I'm a super fan of that. I haven't been able to find it anywhere else. It's my favorite for sure! My kids really enjoy coming here since they get to add whatever they want and go bananas. Something I didn't get to do as a kid. We only had TCBY when it was pay per topping. The self serve by-weight yogurt today is wonderful. This location is always clean but sometimes busy. I think that's a pretty great sign! The toppings are plentiful. Cookie dough is one of my favs.

Went at 10:00 and it was still busy. At night the area around looks pretty dark and sketchy so be careful of Monsters (lol). As usual the interior of this little shop is nice and IN-YO-FACE bright! I was happy with the taste and variety. I was stuffed from dinner but Tappy came and cast an Undetectable Extension Charm #HarryPotter on my stomach to make way for its Froyo!! My Choice: Pecan Praline and Espresso Froyo topped with: coconut shavings, Oreos crunch, mini cheesecake pieces, mini mochi and a bit of raspberry syrup. Mmmmmmmhmmmm dat was SO bomb.

Yummy it's going fast trying some new flavors

OooRah! Open again for serve yourself and inside eating with limited seating. They have instructions for the toppings tables to limit virus contamination, see photos. Lots of great flavors again, yea!!!

Tappy's has a great variety of flavors and dietary offerings. There were yogurts and sorbets, low fat, no fat and no sugar added all available. The sample cups to try the yogurt are up at the register and you're off to the races. I tried the NY cheesecake and it was no fat and tasted like it. It was sour like cream cheese but very one note. I also tried the sea salt caramel pretzel yogurt which is low fat and it was very creamy. It did taste a little salty but had a weird after taste. My choice for yogurt was the strawberry shortcake. It was creamy and strawberry forward. The toppings bar had several fruits like blueberries and blackberries, cereal like fruity pebbles, gummy bears and chocolate candies. My 6.8oz cup cost me less than four dollars and I loved every bite.

It's my go to neighborhood Froyo place! Great choices in flavors and toppings and the service is also pretty good for the most part.

Any Italian will tell you how rich Ice Cream is compared to Gelato and most Americans wont be able to tell whats worse for you Ice Cream or Custard considering the egg yolks really do make it richer. As a Californian visiting my sister and doing a BBQ tour I was kind of tired of banana pudding, peach cobbler and as much as I love both (also pecan pie). Something about the roasted and sugared pecans really does go with everything. The softness, cold pairs with the crunch and richness and the nuttiness. Rico Suave was amazing, great choice when I asked the staff what they reccomend. I came back the following day to try their turtle split. Something about the hot fudge and custard not being too old really keeps things from freezing. Add the marshmallow cream is a real blend of the regular banana split and the turtle. Service was great, good reccomendations from the staff and friendly locals waiting for their orders. Prices are affordable, portions are large. I can only imagine how popular this place is in the summer, I came during a cold front, a light freeze, a cold snap as you will. Although I walked here I could see the need for more outdoor seating despite seeing mostly car traffic there are neighborhoods and a school nearby. I'm hoping next time I come back they have their seasonal key lime flavors. The only weird things is the chocolate custard machine slowing extruding towards the front which looks alot like something else.

We went two evenings in a row and both times were served by nice Indian ladies. It was empty both times we went so that worked in our favor as well. The first night we went, I got the "butter pecan port of call". The butter pecan flavor was so spot on, so definitely get this ice cream if you are a butter pecan enthusiast. The older lady who helped us that evening did not skimp on the mix-ins so there was a lot for me to enjoy and chew on (I prefer this). The second night we went, I decided to make my own mix: sweet cream ice cream with brownies, pecans, and fudge. The ice cream itself was still very delicious but the brownies were lacking in chocolate big time. I wouldn't even call it a brownie if it was blindly given to me. I'm still rating this location 5 out of 5 stars regardless because the ice cream and service were great.

I told her that's fine I still want the cheesecake ice cream and she continued to refuse to do it. It's not that big of a deal to change the ice cream and marble slab is supposed to be all about customizing so I don't know why she would keep refusing if I'm the one eating it. This lady needs to be trained properly if she can't even understand how simple it is to scoop a different ice cream to make the Dubai Chocolate sundae. The 2 stars are for the place being clean and staying open until 10pm.

That being said, one would think we'd get "good" service - also not the case. Based on Yelp (and Google) reviews, we were served likely by the owner. I asked for two samples and this man was so cheap he barely nicked the ice cream with the corner of the square spoon and called it a "sample." In other words, the sample was so tiny it didn't even cover 1/4 of the small sample spoon. I wish I were making this up yall, I was mind blown. I ended up settling for a flavor I didn't ask to sample (chocolate cookie dough, I believe it was). It was just okay. Nothing to miss or write home about. When I asked for that flavor, he almost sounded disappointed I didn't get the dark chocolate flavor (one of the ice creams I asked to sample) saying that's one of their best sellers. Sir, if I would've been able to actually TASTE it, I may have very well chosen it.
