We've been going to the taproom for a long time. We always usually go on Wednesdays for the prime rib. We went last night and we had the worst service ever. We had a Waitress called Amanda and she was horrible so unfortunately it wrecked our whole meal. She off and then we had to ask her for our fixings for our baked potatoes. Our prime rib was not hot, so I'm assuming she left to sit there for a bit. Unfortunately the restaurant was not busy we usually have great service. We came here for lunch the next morning after a concert the night before . There were 7 of us that all got different plates. Food was amazing ! Great ambiance. Only downfall was they automatically put gratuity on parties of six or more and our server only checked on us once and I had to go hunting for ranch and to go boxes. I could probably assume that if it wasn't automatic gratuity that he probably would've attended to us more. It was not busy either. Service needs to be improved. read more

I am staying in the RV parking. I went in for breakfast this morning, Rogelio was at the hostess station but I believe he was only filling in while she was on break. Rogelio seated me got me coffee and a menu then he explained the steak and eggs special that wasn't on the menu. I ordered Chilaquiles. He put in the order, waited on a couple other tables, refilled my coffee, and brought out my food. Rogelio seemed to be doing everything, while the hostess and another server were on break, and he was doing it efficiently and seemed to be in a joyful mood. The food was ok, the coffee good but Rogelio's demeanor and customer oriented service was excellent. Thanks to Rogelio for a good start to my morning. The restaurant is inside the casino as you enter. Great place to NOT lose any money ;-) There are several options to eat and just relax while you enjoy the company of those you are eating with. Recently had dinner for 4 on a Wednesday night. Two people got served right away. Two got served as everyone was finishing dinner. Was told the kitchen had problems. i was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of Spotlight 29 Casino and Taproom 29. It's never too crowded which is perfect for us! THE GOOD STUFF: My favorite dishes at the Taproom so far are the Yakisoba Noodles with the Ahi tuna and the Baja fish tacos. They give you a very generous amount of ahi tuna with your noodles and the tacos are giant and flavorful! The grilled stead or chicken salad is tasty and so are the burgers. THE BAD STUFF: YES, there is often a long wait time to eat at the Taproom even when it's practically empty. YES, the food takes a long time to get to your table. It's a good thing they have many TV screens everywhere which makes the wait time less painful and annoying. And YES, there is a lack of good costumer service skills here. Today, I ordered the chilled shrimp cocktail. When I think of shrimp cocktail, I normally visualize a handful of shrimp served in a large glass with a concoction of red sauce and a medley of diced onions or cucumbers. That's pretty much how most restaurants serve shrimp cocktail, right? Well, that was not the case at the Taproom. I was certainly not excepting to see this (see photo below). I had to re-read the menu description for this item as I thought I had made a mistake. C'com folks at the Taproom, really? This is not a shrimp cocktail!!! Perhaps you can consider re-naming this item to..... "a shrimp plate appetizer with dipping sauce"???? Not only was it on a plate but it looked very unappealing. I am still rooting for you Taproom! This restaurant always claims to be shorthanded. The food is inconsistent, the service is bad. I wanted 10 minutes to place my order, I had to flag a waitress down and I must have annoyed her by asking to place my order. She grabbed the menu off the table. I don't know what is going on here. I rave to friends about the lobster deal on Tuesday's and Prime Rib Wednesday. Brought a group of 8 last night, 6 prime rib dinners. We ordered medium, and they all came out well done, not a bit of red or pink in any of them and none were hot. All served without horseradish or au jus. Wasn't even offered. By the time we requested and received them, I was done with my meal. Either they are struggling to hire qualified kitchen staff, or they overcooked a few and had to get rid of them, or they are just clueless. Same disappointment when we last had our Tuesday lobsters. Season is ending, they really need to get it together again to survive. I was excited to try their new Asian place, but now not so sure. I was chatting with Robert who was brought in from Jersey, to oversee several aspects, on last lobster night we were there, and told him food has been hit and miss lately. Came here and stayed in lot overnight in RV. Felt like a good steak. We split the tomahawk 32 Oz. steak. Cooke correctly with great flavor. Came with mashed potatoes and veggies. The service was great and the ambiance was good. But what good is it when the food doesn't match the service and ambiance. I love meatloaf so I went to try their home style meatloaf today. I was very disappointed. The texture reminded me of Mc Donald's Mc Rib meat. TV dinner meatloaf has better texture and tastes better than the meatloaf here. Mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious. Broccolini and asparagus spears were undercooked. I couldn't swallow the asparagus after chewing them. I will not be back for their meatloaf. read more

We love this place. We have been coming since Covid and usually ordered the tomahawk ribeye. Today they told us they no longer sold it but have prime rib and ribeye. Our party ordered the prime rib, buttermilk chicken and ziti. The chocolate cake a la mode was moist and able to satisfy 6 dessert bellies. All of the orders were delicious. Our server David was exceptional and never left us without. Thank you David for taking care of us "older" humans! We will always make Tap Room a stop while driving back home. Went this weekend for lunch. Was seated at the bar, as it was crowded. At around 11:15 am Ordered the Baja Tacos for $11.95. It was a twenty minute wait. I requested flour tortillas. They deepfried two tortillas for each fish taco. They were a bit greasy . I didn't want the cabbage. ,***The only thing is that One fish taco was very large and the Second one quite small! This eatery is now open in the Spotlight 29 casino. We had a chance to experience take out after playing slots in the casino. We ordered two fish and chips, scampi and clam chowder. The fish was accompanied with lemon slices and spicy tartar sauce which was great with lots of crispy fries. The scampi had giant shrimps and accompanied with garlic bread. Awesome and flavorable clam chowder. The reason we had takeout here was due to the Food express we usually go in the casino had the comp computer problems and was down. Overall, it was a good takeout experience. This place has lots of food choices and has a great bar with plenty of drink choices. Next time will take the time to sit , eat and relax here for awhile. But it was a casino tour day - 3 casinos in one day and spend the night in one of them. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. read more

Has to be the worst service I have ever had. My brother and I arrived at 7pm to an empty restaurant was told the wait was 30min. We didn't understand why there was a wait but we waited. Then we got seated took about 20min for someone to ask us for drinks. We checked in at 7:00 left the restaurant at 9:45 not because we wanted to. Most of the time we were hopping someone would notice we where paying customers. Even to pay we had to look for the waitress to ask for the check. Then the check was wrong and waisted another 20min. Place needs better management. Gave it 1 star bc the Fillet Mignon and lobster tail where delicious. Also, the lady bussing the tables kept trying to find our waitress for us.
