I came to the Taproom for the Friday special, Filet Mignon & Lobster. They had a 2 hour waiting list. I patiently waited. I checked in around 8:15 pm. They finally text me at 10:44 pm that my table is ready. Then when seated was informed that the special ends at 10 pm. Wait!! I've been patiently waiting to be called. It's not my fault they are short staff. Supposedly the manager is gone for the evening. And they just refused to honor or provide it. Due to some whacky rule. 1 hostess even came back & mentioned the kitchen said there isn't anymore. Horrible customer service... Fortunately, a Supervisor, Kelly, responded to my request to talk to someone higher up, and she seemed to understand, and was able to accomodate me. Thanks Kelly for ALL your help! Amazing beers. The new Peabody Imperial Stout is amazing. Tipsy tortoise is always one of my favorites. Took 25min to get service because the bartender was too busy pouring ice in his bins. Took another 15 minutes to get our drinks The food and service were awful! Food came out cold. When we pointed it out to the bartender he took the plate back to the kitchen where they put it in a microwave heated it up and brought it back to us one min later. AYFKM! A Microwave....That line cook should be thrown in the dish pit for a month, Just saying! You have it going on with your beers But you need to figure out service and food preparation.. I get it there's a pandemic it's hard to get product it's hard to find bodies but the people you do have their should have a little pride in what they do. The very first time we came here was excellent. The second time was not so stellar but I did not do a Yelp review. Giving them the benefit of the doubt as they were new to open. This last time was much better than the second time. My only complaint is that my husband ordered a build your own pizza with sausage pepperoni and black olives. They brought him his pizza with green olives on top and said they were out of black olives. He would've preferred no olives over the green olives if they would've just communicated with him. Ordered the club and they didn't give me bacon but put an excessive amount of turkey. The club doesn't say it comes with tomatoes which was perfect for me. Well mine sure did. Also getting ranch and ketchup was taboo here or something. They have my wife and I one small ketchup and one small ranch to share. We both had fries and a side. OK, so I've been pretty much a hermit as many of you have over the past year and change... But have to say last night, we went to the new Spotlight 29 taproom and we were definitely NOT disappointED! World class, rarely found, delicious beers And their very own Brew Master! This brewmaster well... he could be a beer genius but, I digress. Basically, some of the most delicious and hard to find brews on tap and we found it to be a very pleasant environment. Now the food, we only had the fish tacos but... (the fish tacos... oh me oh my!) THAT order will happen again! I am soooo excitED to have a place hubby and I can watch our teams play, eat darn delicious food and have an amazing selection with an amazing rotation of deliciousness servED 24/7 in our desert! well, I have to update this review with a little bit of good and a little bit of bad. The good: Taproom 29 has instituted a happy hour, Monday - Thursday 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. The price of their house beers are $2.00 off, so $4.00 for a house beer. The not so good: They have raised the price of the beers all around. House beers are now $6.00 (which is still reasonable) from $5.00 and the guest pours are now $8.00, up from $6.50. $8.00 for a guest beer takes them out of a class of their own and puts them squarely at the upper end of what most breweries and beer bars in the valley charge. First of all, a $1.50 increase in the price of a beer is instant sticker shock and a real turn off. Now here's where it gets really problematic. At happy hour, there is the two dollars off the house beers and no discount on the guest pours, meaning you can get two of the house beers for the price of one guest beer. By the way, a guest beer is any beer not brewed at Taproom 29. So what happens is that the guest beers sit around and get old and their flavor degrades because no one (virtually) is buying them because they can get two house beers for $8.00. I've seen guest taps sit around for, literally, 2-3 months and I know this because before this price increase, my wife and I were coming twice a week. So when these taps sit around for months, so do the kegs that are waiting to be tapped next. it's a vicious cycle and it's not a good thing. It's really changed how we feel about coming here regularly. Part of the excitement was getting to see what new beers are tapped from the last time we came. Nobody asked but my recommendation is narrow the gap between the house beers and guest beer prices, whether it be from adding a dollar discount to the guest beers during happy hour or just flat out knocking a dollar off the guest beers to $7.00 which is considerably more palatable than $8.00. I used to be able to say that if you're not drinking here you're spending too much, but I can't say that anymore. We will still come here, but Taproom 29 won't necessary be our first option because the prices are no better that anywhere else in the valley. Cheers! read more

Lovely new place. Very clean and modern and beautiful. The bartenders are great. The beer was nice and cold and the bloody Mary's were good.The negatives? Well, the wait time to be seated is ridiculous. We went at 5 and had to wait an hour to be seated. Yet there were a lot of empty tables. Why? Maybe not enough servers? So we decided to sit at the bar. Great bartenders and service. Ordered food that took close to 30 minutes to come out to us. Fried chicken was ok but nothing special. The cole slaw was little more that shredded cabbage with a vinegar dressing in a very small portion. The steamed side of veggies for $5.00 were poorly cooked and consisted of 2 hard carrots, 1 bland asparagus spear and 2 hard broccolini spears. Such a letdown. The casino itself is really nice and clean. Bathrooms included. Staff was great. Comedy show was great. Will i be back? Perhaps. read more

Took forever to get a burger and sandwich, not to mention appetizer Food Good: Burger was very good, Chix sand very good, cheese curds AMAZING Bad: brought wrong burger, wrong cheese, and put jalapeños instead of red onion. asked for pickles but got jalapeños on chicken sandwich, asked for Tomatillo ranch but came out dry, appetizer was served after meal arrived and only because I had to remind them about it. Almost forgot, ordered a large seltzer and was served a small. The manager ended up taking care of our food which was the right thing to do since they totally dropped the ball. Not bad. We stopped in driving thru. I didn't even know this casino existed. Decide to try to have lunch. I had the surf and turf salad which was very good. Lots of shrimp and steak. Flavor full too! Our waitress was very nice even when we kept changing our orders. The ambiance it's inside a casino and they do smoke so keep that in mind if that bothers you. Spotlight 29 did a wonderful job on the build-out of the Taproom 29 bar. Check it out. Top of the line. Lots of TVs, Sports, nice bar, etc. Good menu-Not cheap but lots of choices. That being said, you might want to wait a while. On our most recent visit, we were so deluged with flies swarming our food it made the experience quite unpleasant. Mind you, this is an indoor restaurant and the marquee dining spot at the property. Really hope they can figure out the problem. read more

We love almost everything we've ordered here. It's a semi new restaurant in our Coachella Valley. The prices are great in the morning. Breakfast menu is small, but I do love the egg frittata and the egg and chorizo burrito. For lunch we like the fish and chips, club sandwich and the Baja fish tacos. For dinner the Tomahawk Steak is delicious. Lobster was very small. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is the service can be terrible. At times it's good I really don't think it's the servers fault. I use to be a server years ago. They weren't properly trained, and don't know how to handle a rush, and how to keep their eye on all of their tables. They tend to focus on one. I'd been wanting to try this new restaurant at Spotlight 29 casino for sometime and I'm so glad I finally did! The place is gorgeous! The tribal team removed the old fine dining restaurant and the old buffet to make a welcoming and open place with TONS of TV'S for sports fans. They feature beers, obviously, but the food, to me at least, was the star. There are so many items on the menu from starters, to burgers, to a huge tomahawk steak!! They have a pizza oven too which was by where we were sitting, that was pumping out great looking pizza. I settled on the House Smoked Spare Ribs. They did not disappoint! Firm yet they came clean off the bone. The sauce has a little heat to it but not enough to burn my mouth. The ribs came with a very small cup of coleslaw and an ear of grilled corn. Both were good but I could have done without the corn and had a larger serving of the cokeslaw. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and my sister had the fish and chips. Both of those sandwiches came with a very generous serving of french fries which were fresh and crisp. The only complaint my sister had was that the fish was crispy enough but she said it was good. Now the best part ... dessert!!! The butter cake is a MUST! I've had butter cake elsewhere but this one rocked my world!!! Its served with a very large scoop of Haagen Daas vanilla ice cream and the cake sits on a bed of a tasty berry compote. My sister, who isn't a sweet freak like me, tried it and she even couldn't stop eating it. They have over 30 beers on tap and offer a beer flight of 4, 4 oz beers (your choice) for only $6!!! Taproom 29 I hope you read your reviews, and I hope you reflect and make changes. First off, I love the spicy sausage pizza and Yokisoba noodles. They are delicious and highly recommend them. Secondly, you might be thinking, why 2 stars if you love the food? The service is why! This restaurant needs new management, new systems, and lots of training. From the hostesses, to the kitchen, to the servers, to the food deliverers; they all need a new efficient system and training. If you dine in the Taproom, expect to be there at least 2 hours. The first 30 minutes will be a wait from the hostesses despite over half the restaurant being empty. One time the host told us we couldn't sit at the bar because there was a shift change going on, despite the bar being first come first serve. Expect the next 30 minutes will be waiting for a server to arrive. The next 45 minutes will be waiting for your food, and the last 15 is for eating. I guess another 30 should be added on while waiting for to cash out. You might be thinking I am exaggerating, but truly, I am not. My husband and I have experienced this timeline multiple times. The service is terrible. We just love the food and always hope it will get better. The reality though, Taproom 29, you lose our business a lot. We choose to go elsewhere because we don't have hours on end to waste. Please reflect and make changes. read more

We looked at the menu went in sat down. They were very nice. I ordered fish and chips. The batter dipped was not crispy. My friend had the chicken sandwich she said it wasn't great mediocre mediocre . I also ordered a side of vegetables. The broccoli was cooked. The asparagus was cooked but the carrots were not cooked. They were fake cooked. They were totally hard inside, not even al dente. The waitress asked if everything was OK and I said my carrots not cooked. I showed her how hard it was not cooked. She said I'll take it back and get you another. I said no just bring me two cooked carrots they brought me two carrots. They were obviously just put in the microwave even without a lid because the outside of them was all dried out. Still not cooked! Everyone was nice, but the food quite mediocre. Nothing to remember about the food other than I won't eat there again we specifically went into the casino driving from the east thinking we would get a buffet as listed, but nothing was open so will try the casino Across The Street next time but I won't go into spotlight 29 again! read more

I don't quite understand reviews that are under four stars for this place. It's brand new it's got a great vibe with all of the different TV screens the bar has a ice ledge to keep your drinks cool. They have a assortment of different drafts on tap, to include catering to those who don't drink beer and maybe would like a Cider or seltzer. The staff has always been super friendly and they have weekly specials to look for if you like prime rib. Food has always been very exceptional. Please please don't come here. Mother's Day and had a 3 hour wait to be seated. We thought that's fine but it wasn't really busy. 1 1/2 hours for the food to get to the table. In that time we were given 1 drink only. The Appetizers and the food we're given to the table at the same time. The food was cold and was sent back. The nachos had cold cheese twice. Twice that I sent it back. We finally just gave up. All we got was sorry. I understand things are still bad but 5 hours really. I asked for ginger ale and was told yes but it wasn't ginger ale. The bar manager said they don't have it. Really never come to here and Albert the restaurant director is the worst ever. We made him come out and all we got is sorry. I used to like this place until today. I called to make a dinner reservation and they asked me for my player's card number. I had to go look for my player's card and when I finally found it and gave the number to them, the lady told me that they can only make reservations for Titanium players. Why didn't she say that when I asked if I could make a reservation? Besides, isn't that sort of discrimination? I really think that they don't take reservations on purpose. They make people wait about 2 hours even though they have tables available so that people go gamble and spend money while they wait because they know there's nothing else to do while waiting. My husband and I went to check in and we were told there was a 30/35 minute wait. Which was weird because there was a bunch of tables open but okay. So a supervisor I didn't get his name but he had a tattoo on his hand took my name and number and said I would get a text when my table was ready. Well as we walk up a party who I know for a fact checked in right after us got seated and I asked the host were I was on the list? Well guess what I wasn't on the list. After waiting we were then sat at apparently table that no one wants to sit at because it's so small and my 6 foot 2 inch tall husband was uncomfortable at but I was starving so we took it. As we sat another I believe supervisor in a red shirt and sever were standing against the table and turned to us and made a comment about the table being small. We then explained how we don't care that we had been waiting and the other supervisor didn't put us down on the list and we just wanted to eat because we were starving. The supervisor in the red shirt I didn't catch his name but he was bald said I'm sorry let me take care of you what do you want to drink. I being an ex restaurant manager means let me comp the first 2 drinks for my coworker fucking up and the inconvenience. Well we eat have our drinks and the waitress brings our check and everything was charged. Let me say I don't expect to get everything for free but we were trying to waive the guy down(the guys in the red shirt) and he was to busy with a high top table of ladies taking selfie's so that just added fuel to the fire. We waited for a bit and we were just frustrated and were over it. I would like to say our server Tammy was awesome. But I was really annoyed that the supervisor who took our info but really didn't because apparently he can't confirm the info on the iPad was walking around and after complaining about the guy with the hand tattoo and his body language you can tell he was aware of his mistake but didn't bother apologizing to us about his error. We've patronized this business since they opened but we were so disappointed during our last visit when they added a "service charge" to our total bill and when we asked, we were told it is for "gratuity ". Since when does a restaurant automatically add a 20% gratuity to a party of 2 people? The explanation we received from the hostess is every time a customer used a players card to get a discount, a "service charge " is added to the bill. We stopped at the Hamburg Taproom hoping to find a new "hangout". We were not disappointed. The bartender was very friendly and informative about this new ownership. We ordered hot garlic knots and onion rings. The knots were fresh baked rolls with plenty of garlic and Parmesan cheese. The onion rings were superb. We have returned weekly and have taken many friends there and they ALL have enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The place is immaculate and the employees are all friendly.
