I was the only one out on the patio. I have no idea why they have to have loud house music playing at 4:15pm on a Friday afternoon. I guess they're getting ready for their Friday night. It was very good. Very very good. A lot of food for one person. I ate it all because I didn't think it would microwave well. I'll be back. The music is part of the ambience. So if you don't want loud music ......... Server was very good too.

taqueria cinco is always a good experience, we went for cinco de mayo and they were efficient with getting people seated. The service was excellent as always, our server was attentive despite how busy it was and the late time we were there. The meat on the tacos were very tender and they did not skimp. The drinks we had were excellent as well! Overall would recommend and can't wait to return

Delicious tacos. I got the cecina, al pastor and the boracho fish taco. Cecina was my favorite but they all were good. The fish taco came with a mustard sauce which isn't my jam. That being said, would eat again the prices were great as well. Giant portion size on the taco itself as well!

I was severely craving authentic Mexican flavors and I got pretty close here! I loved the selection of tacos and the vibes here. Friendly service and a great casual vibe that is perfect for a quick lunch or a late night bite. The Mexican corn was my favorite, really enjoyed it. Taqueria cinco fits in perfectly to the Riverside vibes and very easy to walk to if you're in the area. Ample parking on street or in designated parking spots in the area.

Always have a good time here. This is from their HH menu. Music is always good and I never had an issue here. I've introduced all my friends to my fav spot in town

These were the fattest tacos in Jax! We had the Al Pastor, Suadero, & Barbacoa Tacos; chips with salsa and Guacamole. All the food was fire. The portion sizes for the tacos were on point, the flavors of each of them were fantastic. The barbacoa sauce was spicy. So beware. The Al Pastor is only available on Friday & Saturday. But oh so worth it. We had two drinks- the daily special marg and the Paloma. Both were made with the right portions and a great addition to the meal. The service was fantastic all around. We ate inside and talked to the cook and line staff. Everyone was very friendly. This places vibe reminds me of city life in another country. There are about 12 tables inside and outside. Very cute decor and outside seating is shaded. Parties of 4-8 only, probably not good for parties larger than that. All in all- we will be coming back!

Definitely one of the top two spots in Five Points. I enjoyed their enchiladas, but their quesadillas and tacos just hit and I think I prefer them. They are generous with the sauce, salsa, and toppings. And service is always quick and consistent.

I was walking my new neighborhood and stopped to check out this cute spot. I'm from Southern California and I travel to Mexico every few years so my Mexican food pallet is a bit spicer than most in JAX. I was the first person in the door and was greeted by the staff right away. After a quick look I decided to steer away from Tacos which I can find anywhere and went to the Huaraches. They hand make their blue corn tortillas so that was a slam dunk for me. They were a bit thinner than I have had in the past but still tender, fresh, and delicious. I decided to add the Ribeye for a bit of protein. It was a bit more like carne asada with some added fat that I didn't really enjoy. That said, the dish had great flavor with homemade black beans, crispy cabbage, and several traditional sauces. My server also brought me two different spicy salsa, one green and one red. I enjoyed both of them for different reasons. The red had a good heat kick and the green was a nice addition to the ribeye steak. I will definitely be back to try some tacos and the enchiladas. This is one of the more authentic Mexican places I have found within Jacksonville and Saint Augustine.

I've been to this restaurant a a few times. The inside of the restaurant is kind of small but they do have a back outside patio is pretty large where you can eat. The staff is usually pretty nice. Sometimes it can be a little bit of a way cause they do get pretty busy. I love their tacos and they usually have some sort of special taco tacos. Will definitely be going back!

I am hesitant to review this place as it is my favorite spot in Jacksonville and I really don't wanna draw too much attention to it but let me tell you it is phenomenal. A little hole in the wall hallway restaurant with some beautiful patio space. Be sure to stop by on Friday or Saturday for tacos Al Pastor, but don't turn them down literally any other day because the menu is stacked with delicious options. The service is always top-notch as the waiters are attentive and proactive. This time around I got their margarita special which came with a souvenir cup that a completely different waitress asked if I would like for her to clean it off for me to take home as we walked out. Our go tos include the esquites, Al Pastor tacos, and birria tacos though I haven't seen a dish that did not look mouthwateringly delicious leave their kitchen. Check them out, but don't spread the word --more for me.

The food was fantastic--flavorful and satisfying. The tacos were packed with protein, and the pickled onions added a great tangy kick. Everything was so well-seasoned that I didn't even miss the hot sauce. The juicy chicken did make the tortilla a bit soggy, so a second tortilla would've helped, but the taste was still incredible. The ambiance had a cool hipster vibe with a fun taqueria twist. We sat out on the back patio in the evening--it had a great atmosphere and the lighting set the perfect mood. The only thing I would've changed was the music. When we arrived, it was pretty loud and they were playing a fast-paced house mix. While that might work in some settings, it felt a little out of place--especially since we were enjoying Mexican food and I had brought my friend's mother. A more festive or culturally fitting playlist would've matched the vibe much better than a club soundtrack.

So many options for tacos in the area but none can compare to Taqueria Cinco. Fresh, delicious flavor combinations, and so much food! We always enjoy starting with warm chips and salsa. My tacos were fantastic, as always, I can't skip their Al Pastor when they are available. We love the patio where. The weather is cooler and service is always fantastic too. Come here once and I promise you won't consider any other taco places in the area.

The floors were sticky and our shoes stuck to the floor. The women's restroom was out of order. The kiosks seem like a good idea but nobody there to ask questions or to get your drinks. If you can catch one of the two people working as they bring out orders you are lucky. The menus on the kiosks are pretty informative though and tell the ingredients for each item. Kiosk automatically adds 20% tip unless you change it. Considering you don't have any interaction with employees until they bring out your order other tipping options might apply. They cook to order which is nice except you don't get your drinks or your appetizers until it's your turn. There is a comment section to type no tomatoes or special instructions. Mine still came out with tomatoes but they promptly remade it for me. The food is pretty good. No complaints there other than having to remake one of my tacos. The chips and queso was pretty good. Chips were dusted with spices and served hot. We tried 6 different tacos and they were all very good. The tortillas were toasted on the grill which makes a big difference. You can get flour or corn tortillas. The chicken and steak were marinated before grilling and were big cubes and plentiful. The menu has a pretty big variety including a kids menu with chicken and fries. The last comment is their fountain machine for drinks. The coke tasted off. They may need to recalibrate it. Drinks are served in small clear throw away cups and the lids don't fit very well. Refills are hard to get. You have to wait for someone to come out of the back. If these small complaints don't bother you the food is very good.

Why spend a lot of money eating at an establishment that doesn't enhance the experience? The food also was flavorful and the passion fruit margaritas was superb. I also had the chicken verde taco, carne asada taco, and pork tamale. The pork tamale was excellent--tender, flavorful, and comforting. The chicken verde and carne asada tacos were good, but neither was particularly memorable compared to the pork belly. The cucumber salad was probably my biggest disappointment. It looked fresh, but it had little to no seasoning and lacked flavor. Service was okay. It took quite a while to get my second Diet Coke, which was a little frustrating. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would come back, but when I think of Mexican food, this isn't really what comes to mind. The food felt more Americanized and inspired by Mexican flavors rather than authentic Mexican cuisine. That's not necessarily a bad thing--it just wasn't what I was expecting. If you're looking for fresh ingredients, great vibes, and creative tacos, bartaco is worth a visit. If you're looking for a more traditional Mexican experience, this probably isn't the place I'd recommend.
