Shawn chill vibes. Wanted to sit on the back patio but I didnt wanna eat my food while someone was smoking by me. Bloody Beer was mediocre & not the full presentation as describe. I did enjoy the kick. The 3 tacos I tried were all pretty good. Brisket Taco, Shrimp Taco, & Mac & Cheese Taco. My fav is a tie between brisket I shrimp taco.

Ocean Street Tacos earns a solid 4 stars for its tasty offerings and relaxed atmosphere. We tried the surf and turf, steak, chicken thigh, and brisket tacos. The meats were flavorful and cooked well, but I wish the tacos were more generously filled--at $5-$7 each, they felt a little light for the price. The place has a great selection of beers on tap, perfect for pairing with your meal. There's a cool outdoor seating area in the back that adds to the charm, but it was closed for a private event when we visited on New Year's Eve. The front seating area is a bit limited, so it seems like they usually depend on the back space for more dining options. The vibe is very much bar-style, with decor to match. The food came out quickly, and the front service was polite and efficient. Overall, it's a nice spot to grab a bite and a drink--just wish the tacos had a little more substance!

I work down the street from this place and finally got a chance to grab some lunch from here. From the signs outside it seems like there are 2 entrances but one is to the bar next door.... They politely corrected me and directed me to the correct door lol. I called in to place my pick up order. The line was a bit of a wait since there wasn't a separate to pick up line but that's fine. I got to look at the cool art on the walls. The steak quesadilla was ok. The steak had great flavor but was extremely chewy. Happy to have tried another downtown spot.

Tried Ocean Street Tacos and grabbed three tacos: brisket, mac & cheese, and ground beef. Portions were solid and definitely filling. The flavors were pretty simple, but still enjoyable. The restaurant itself (and even the takeout bag) is a whole vibe -- super cute and fun atmosphere. With a little more depth in the seasoning, this spot could really stand out. Overall a cool place with good portions and a great vibe.

The place is not for me as a sober girl to eat in but I was happy to get my tacos to go. Service was good even though the person seemed to be working the counter and serving solo. The ingredients tasted fresh and the flavors were good on both the beans and the grilled chicken. I wish the actual tortilla was better but maybe it was out of a package? That would be my only suggestion is to get fresh tortillas it could have been the time of day I was there? It was late evening on a Thursday.

Stop by for lunch and got a shrimp, fish, and Hawaiian pork taco ($18). Tacos came out in about 10 minutes. All the tacos were good with the shrimp and fish being my favorite as they were perfectly seasoned. One of the flour tortilla was a bit to hard but besides that a good experience. Staff was friendly and the interior/ambience inside is chill. Food(50%): 8.0 Staff/service(25%): 7.0 Value(25%): 6.0 Overall: 7.2/10

Absolutely one of the best taco places I have been too since moving from South Florida. The food shown from the restaurant is what you're going to get on the plate. The ambience is very relaxing and vibing! The waitress is very talented as well. A++ restaurant you will not regret trying.

Tried the chips with four dips and a drink--everything was fresh and flavorful. The vibe inside is really nice, and the staff were super friendly. A great spot to stop by, even if just for appetizers and a drink.

The back porch area is great! Vibrant and great murals! The taco was ok. The piece of fish was so small and the tortilla was entirely too large for it. The boom boom sauce was good but was hard to taste the fish since it was so small. Our waitress was great! Friendly and efficient.

Nice hole in the wall spot with a great patio/night time vibe! The tacos were amazing but a bit on the pricey side. $(7)) for a tiny taco. The margaritas were worse. The tiny cup I was given was 2.5" in height and diameter for $8. But the tacos were bussin! 50/50 if I would come back again. Maybe for a happy hour

What a great new addition to the Ocean Street Taco Familia and downtown area..."Ocean Street Tequila", " and it's right next door! Formerly this location was 1904 Music Hall. Its interior was renovated and is super spacious for events and large groups. Drinks are great too along with the friendly and professional staff working here. One can enjoy some delicious tacos, quesadillas, etc from Ocean Street Tacos next door and dine while at this new location. Cool and talented area Dj's are playing those body movin' tunes on certain nights. Check out their social media page on Instagram: https:// instagram.com/oceanstreettequila? igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA== for updated schedule of events. Hope to see you there soon and CHEERS!

I met hubby at Ocean Street Tacos for Happy Hour recently. We had a couple beers and shared a few tacos. We ordered 2 mac & cheese tacos, 1 Hawaiian pork taco and 2 brisket tacos. I wasn't a huge fan of their tacos. They all had a very similar taste to me. The mac & cheese taco was probably the best of the 3. The Doritos on top were good for crunch. The Hawaiian pork taco was decent. I thought the pineapple chunks should have been smaller. The brisket wasn't as tender as I wanted it to be and I didn't like the BBQ sauce much. Ocean Street Tacos is mediocre at best. Not sure if we will go back since there are so many other options in Jax.

The 30% off code - LOVETACOS - is good on the entire menu on Taco Tuesdays. The deal & code are advertised on a window poster you'll notice as you walk up in addition to another poster advertising a great lunch deal available. I ordered the Shrimp Tacos (corn tortillas, lettuce, breaded fried shrimp, chipotle mayo, and cilantro) minus pico & they were great. The shrimp were freshly fried and steaming hot. I had to wait a bit because a large catering order was being finished as I arrived. The manager offered me a free Jarritos and apologized profusely for my wait. I took it as a good sign that their tacos are that popular plus it gave me time to enjoy the gorgeous murals by ARTBYJAE. The floors were sticky and our shoes stuck to the floor. The women's restroom was out of order. The kiosks seem like a good idea but nobody there to ask questions or to get your drinks. If you can catch one of the two people working as they bring out orders you are lucky. The menus on the kiosks are pretty informative though and tell the ingredients for each item. Kiosk automatically adds 20% tip unless you change it. Considering you don't have any interaction with employees until they bring out your order other tipping options might apply. They cook to order which is nice except you don't get your drinks or your appetizers until it's your turn. There is a comment section to type no tomatoes or special instructions. Mine still came out with tomatoes but they promptly remade it for me. The food is pretty good. No complaints there other than having to remake one of my tacos. The chips and queso was pretty good. Chips were dusted with spices and served hot. We tried 6 different tacos and they were all very good. The tortillas were toasted on the grill which makes a big difference. You can get flour or corn tortillas. The chicken and steak were marinated before grilling and were big cubes and plentiful. The menu has a pretty big variety including a kids menu with chicken and fries. The last comment is their fountain machine for drinks. The coke tasted off. They may need to recalibrate it. Drinks are served in small clear throw away cups and the lids don't fit very well. Refills are hard to get. You have to wait for someone to come out of the back. If these small complaints don't bother you the food is very good.

You can tell they put a lot of effort into the quality of the ingredients. My favorite item was easily the pork belly taco. It was packed with flavor and was the standout of the entire meal. I also had the chicken verde taco, carne asada taco, and pork tamale. The pork tamale was excellent--tender, flavorful, and comforting. The chicken verde and carne asada tacos were good, but neither was particularly memorable compared to the pork belly. The cucumber salad was probably my biggest disappointment. It looked fresh, but it had little to no seasoning and lacked flavor. Service was okay. It took quite a while to get my second Diet Coke, which was a little frustrating. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would come back, but when I think of Mexican food, this isn't really what comes to mind. The food felt more Americanized and inspired by Mexican flavors rather than authentic Mexican cuisine. That's not necessarily a bad thing--it just wasn't what I was expecting. If you're looking for fresh ingredients, great vibes, and creative tacos, bartaco is worth a visit. If you're looking for a more traditional Mexican experience, this probably isn't the place I'd recommend.
