Birria quesadilla

Super delicious birria! We are originally from Southern California and have had a hard time finding good Mexican food in Redding. I would say this was one of the best birrias we have had. The tacos were crunchy and with lots of flavor . Cute little new place that we will definitely be back. Service was great and super fast.

Quesa birria taco with rice and beans. Taco was stuffed full of meet and the shell was deliciously crispy!

The food is very good and fantastic hot sauce with wonderful hot sauce. They were formerly known as La Fogata before it caught fire.

I had tacos twice and my husband got a burrito and we enjoyed it very much. I think it's definitely worth giving this new place a chance.

The waiter helping us was super nice even though he looked like he wasnt having a good day. He made sure we had anything we needed or asked for, he was a older gentleman. He was working his section like a champ. It was alil loud to hear but that was only cause it was so busy, very festive, atmosphere was nice, other people were satisfied with the service and food. Now from the time we walked in to being seated to ordering the food came out to us very quick, very hot and delicious. The waiter made sure to warn us of the temperature of the plates. I think the whole time we were in the restaurant was maybe an hour we had stuffed ourselves with chips & salsa and Queso so I had plenty of left-overs. Would I recommend yes would I come back of course id like to try some of the other food.

We got the chips and salsa. The chips were a little on the stale side, hard and chewy. The salsa had flavor, not much heat. The drinks were big and came out quick. The food portions are pretty big and good prices. The food was good, nothing really great. The chimichanga could have used some sauce on top instead of the sour cream which said it didn't come with. The carne asada was a big piece but a little tough. It all lacked some flavoring and the rice was dry.

Stopped by Hermanos today. Yes, they are open. I guess they were closed for a few weeks but they…read moreare in fact, open. Whenever I'm visiting Redding, I always like to try new places, especially searching for solid Mexican food (which isn't an easy task in such a small town). People who know me, know that I love beans - refried especially. My grandmother and father made amazing refried beans. Living in Los Angeles, there's a diverse number of places that really deliver the flavor. I digress. So, I stop at Hermanos today and ordered a bean and cheese burrito and a chorizo soft taco. The guys working there were friendly and after explaining to them that I'm visiting from Southern California and my affinity for beans (I'm a nerd, what can I say lol), they gave me a taste of their shredded beef birria. It was amazing. Melted in my mouth. So, A+ there. To the headliners... Bean and cheese burrito. The tortilla was homemade tasting/feeling (didn't appear to be store bought like some of the other places I've tried here). On a scale of 1-10, I give the beans a 7. They were better than average and better than good. Chorizo soft taco. Pretty simple taco. Soft flour tortilla, lettuce, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, and chorizo. The chorizo was cooked perfectly (That isn't a passing comment either. Chorizo can be easily under or overcooked). Great flavor. Tasted fresh. They gave me green and red salsa. Both were really tasty and enjoyable. I think I have found my new favorite Mexican spot in Redding. The true test will be their chili relleno and pozole. I will definitely be back.

I got asada, but added two eggs and guacamole in the burrito, with cilantro and onions for added crispness and flavor. I asked for the tortilla to be crispy on the outside, but wish the fries were crispier. It was $15 for everything, which is a damn good deal, considering the size of the burrito. I'm not sure about the price of a regular Cali burrito, but what I ordered was $15. She even skipped the tip portion (I tipped in cash instead).

Really good food but basically just warmed up at the restaurant and prepared elsewhere. I wonder who the actual food preparation is done by?? There are a few things removed from the menu Perhaps not easily just warmed up and hard to maintain quality This place was called Chuys about 2 1/2 years ago. The rumors are that there were some legal issues and he left and the new owners took over not long after that. Not much improvement aesthetically and hasn't changed in two years or more. Restaurants us clean and presentable. There are many places you can go in Redding and get the same quality or better and pay a lot less.
