We had been working our business all day, spotted Taco Delite pulled in to an empty lot & an empty restaurant. That should have been the first sign. Walked and greeted right away, nice friendly service, the place was really clean but out dated & old looking. $38 for two people to eat fast food tacos. I know it's that way everywhere but at least give me quality food for my hard earned money. It was like I remembered Taco Delite being in the 90's. We should have took the hint with the empty building and parking lot. Nope! Most likely will not be back to this one. read more

Hubby saw this restaurant and immediately started a diatribe of how great it was and how he hadn't eaten there in years. So we stopped in! Never in a million years would I have thought a meal here would cost $31 but it did. Wasn't even spoken too when we walked in, and ordering wasn't the most customer friendly either. I got a fajita chicken quesadilla which had real cheese but the chicken was rubber. The queso was the canned fake cheese you get at food courts. No flavor whatsoever. Definitely not worth $31 for fast food. Understand why the place was empty at dinner time. Horrible food at horrible prices. We will not be back. read more

For the 3rd time in two months didn't get my full order. My daughter went through the drive through today and ordered a taco salad, two meat burritos, and two tacos. Not a complex order by any standard. Gets home and no tacos in the bag. How in the name of Christ can this happen? No tacos from a taco restaurant! The order accuracy is beyond bad. Once I get it. Three times and it's theft. Their food is good (if you get it, which these days seems like a shot in the dark). We're going to try Taco Bueno from now on since we're getting cheated by this place. One of my favorite fast food taco joints. This is not my favorite location but it does the job. Tacos are always packed with ingredients without having to ask for extras and I just love their sauce. I recommend you always get a side of guacamole. read more

The woman that was making the food turned around to take my order. She had gloves on, great. She took cash, used hand sanitizer ON HER GLOVES, and went and picked up a quesadilla with the sanitizer still wet. It's not sanitary at all. Just change your gloves! I left without ordering. Lady working the counter was amazing and very friendly. Food is good but no care making food. Every taco we got (8) had the cheese melted to the wrapper and the meat was on one side of the taco instead of spread through the taco. Well this isn't really for star food I like to put them in their category and say this place is competing against the other fast-food convenient Mexican foods. In my opinion this is certainly overall one of the best of all of those places. My go to meal whether I am here or one of their competitors is always two tacos and a bean burrito and chips and queso. They rocket compared to their competitors. I hate that there's only a few of them and they are so few and far between but when I'm hungry for them it's definitely worth a couple extra miles down the road to get here. read more

Pretty good for fast food tacos. The fajita chicken quesadilla was good. Could have used a little more cheese and chicken but overall good. The queso was not flavorful AT all. I'd avoid it. Unless you go next door to Whataburger and get fries and make cheese fries? Then that would be okay. But it wasn't what I was expecting for queso. Guacamole was also good and had a smooth taste. My kiddo got a taco and he is very minimalistic when it comes to tacos. Meat, cheese and sour cream. Which was good. The place was SPOTLESS inside and someone was ALWAYS cleaning. Taco Delite is at the top of the scale for me as far as fast Mexican food places go: it's the squeaky clean alternative to dirrrty Bell. I say this for two reasons: 1.) Taco Delite has salsa - good, vivacious salsa that doesn't come in packets labeled "hot" or "fire". The salsa is fresh and it ain't made in New York City either. Once or twice they made it so hot it took the skin off my tongue and cured me of the swine flu. The hotness scared the germs right out of my immune system. Chips and Salsa: $1.39 2.) Fresh ingredients. The tomatoes on my tacos are always plump and delicious, the lettuce is crisp, and the cheese is always newly shredded. Aside from the tacos, the rice is always fluffy and flavorful and the guacamole is always the perfect shade of Hulk snot. Beef Taco Plate: $3.79. However, if you are feeling dirrrty, get The Taco Delite: a hard taco wrapped in a soft, pita-like outer layer, with an in-between layer of sour cream. $1.39. Aside from the salsa and the fresh factor, this Taco Delite has consistently provided me with friendly customer service every time I have been there. I love tacos. Absolutely love them - crispy corn shell, spicy beef, lettuce, cheese but oh those broken shells, filling everywhere but in the taco. I hate eating tacos. What a mess! Then I found Taco Delite. Do you remember what Taco Bell was like before it was a corporate, pre-cooked, drop-shipped, intestinally questionable, binge-drinking carbo load, cheap food chain? Taco Bell's early California glory days are what Taco Delite is now - only even better. And I'm in love with their namesake product, the Taco Delite. A crunchy taco, securely wrapped inside a refried bean-lined soft flour tortilla. They also make really fresh salsa. A nice change for a fast-food place. All crunch and flavor, no mess. Even better? We can get to our closest Taco Delite in a brisk 20-minute walk. A 40-minute round-trip walk=minimal caloric damage. What's not to love about that? read more

So this place is a staple in the Dallas. I have eaten here a lot over the years but in the end it is average tex-mex food. Better than Taco Bell by a country mile but not as good as Taco Cabana. I tried their breakfast this morning for the first time so this review is about that experience. The eggs are below average, the potatoes were roasted which was a nice touch over a fried hash brown which they also offer. The sausage was decent and the tortilla was better than most. All in all the burrito was average at best. No flavor at all. Their queso is bland with no flavor. For lunch try the tostada......its really big and good. If you are on Keto, go here and get 3 orders of lettuce, 4 orders of meet, 3 orders of cheese with a handful of hotsauce packets. It should run you $7-$8 and fill you up easily. read more

My favorite place for quick tacos! Homemade salsa and great portions. Two tacos for three dollars and change both come with sides of salsa. Sometimes they are a little bit slow in the drive-through, but well worth the wait! They take time to do it right! Lots of cheese and lots of meat, especially compared to other fast food taco places.
