This place has always been my go to for barbacoa and menudo ... but tonight I went and ordered tacos and menudo and the menudo has a slimy texture and tasted like they froze it and reheated .... I don't know if it was because of the staff (which I haven't seen before tonight) or just do t care ..I got no limes and one salsa for four tacos+menudo ... there was no ppl there and only one person behind me in drive thru line ... it kinda hurts posting this review because I love the place but gotta be honest and let it be known just in case someone is crabbing menudo ... go to la Palma #2 read more

FILTHY! I almost broke my teeth on a GLASS TOY MARBLE in my taco one weeknight right before they closed last week. Disgusting, no telling where that thing was before or what they were doing with it. Still NO EXCUSE for that being in my food. Telling everyone I know to stay away from this place. I gave them a chance because they were open late and they BLEW IT! I found this place while being lost in the area, so I decided to come in and give it a try. It was a Saturday morning, and there is a Spanish children's program on the television, a jukebox is playing Mexican songs. The service is prompt, with the ladies quickly setting up chips and salsa at my table, as well as water. As it was morning, I ordered the menudo, which came out steaming. There was plenty of tripe in it and the broth has a very good spice to it. The condiments and tortillas were generous. The prices are reasonable. Thank goodness I checked in this place on Yelp, as I would quickly forget it's location in the likely event I come back when I'm in the area! read more

My shift had breakfast ordered to go from them. It was pretty easy to order and didn't take long. Excellent flour tortillas and hot sauce. No one had complaints. We'd go back for more if it wasn't so far from us. read more

I am a regular here and I love the fajita tacos with only grilled onions. I've tried many other things such as the burrito, the enchiladas and the chili con queso. Everything other than the tacos (which I get at least once, maybe twice a week) is gross to me. the service also is trash but the street tacos are great! read more

My family all enjoyed Fathers Day lunch today at Taqueria Sol De Mexico. It was our first time here and we came on a recommendation from a friend. I worked over 20 years in Mexico and this restaurant reminded me of real Mexican food. They have just about any plate or combination you could dream of. They were 15 of my family there and everyone loved this food and great service. I recommend you give them a try if your a real Mexican food fan. read more

Food tastes okay however, it's very inconsistent. Your food is never the same. After several times I finally just gave up on this place. I don't know why some servers don't write the orders down while they are talking to customer and not after. 8/10 they mess up when they try to memorize it. The food quality is low. It was a tough experience for both of us. My wife had a combo plate and it was nothing to write home about. I had 2 tacos al pastor, 2 tacos de fajita, rice and frijoles a la charra. Rice was just okay, the beans were very bad...tasted like dishwater. The fajitas and the al pastor looked and tasted like they were boiled. The al pastor had a grainy/gritty texture and had a very "off" taste to it. I've never had al pastor taste like that. But that's not the worst of it!!! For the next 24 hours, I paid for my mistake. I got food poisoning and felt miserable and bloated for the rest of the day and I was on the toilet the next day. There are many more Mexican restaurants in Conroe that are much better. read more

Please, don't waste your time and money. On two separate occasions my wife has found hair in her food. They refuse to acknowledge the fact that they made the mistake and the manager hides in the back twiddling their thumbs until you leave in anger. Save your money and eat elsewhere. read more
