Every time I go into Target, I know I will find my stuff. When they added the foods section as well as frozen foods, well, that really helped me out even more. Sure I won't find some items in Target, like a surf fishing pole, but for 80% of what I need, I can get it at Target at a good price. And, if the item is under $20, I do not have to sign the e-pad. Excellent back to school shopping. When you have one kid going to college and another in school you need a one stop versatile shopping. Target and the nearby shops give you just that. I love this one for its location. The only little complaint I have is the stores smells of food in the front section and the linen section is in chaos. However, the check out is a breeze and you can get in and get done fast. read more

I had the absolute worst experience here ever! definitely lost a regular guest here. I was purchasing some bathing suits that I got in the clearance section, when I was paying I noticed a different price was being charged and I mentioned it to her and she told me it was the wrong clearance tag on top which happened to both of the pieces of the bathing suit the top was marked at $6.98 and bottoms at 7.98 in the computer they came up $12.58 each, she made it clear she wouldn't honor the price the tag said, I told her that is unfortunate because I was expecting this price but it's okay i'll still take them maybe I suggested to let her team know this happened so they can fix this so it doesn't happen again to someone else. The next bathing suit was a one piece marked 17.99 again had a clearance sticker and she told me it wasn't the correct price again original priced at 34.99 I was getting frustrated this kept happening and she didn't offer to adjust the price for the inconvenience, so I asked to speak with the manager I told her that's ridiculous it's not my fault this is happened and you should honor the price that it is listed at, she wouldn't so I asked to speak to her manager. Teresita andSeema (LOD) said she also would not adjust the price to the marked clearance price. she told me that this could happen or somebody was messing with the tags and she would let security know to check it out, I told her I understand but you also need to understand I am under the impression they are this price and I understand it's a mistake but that's not the guests fault. I explained how I used to work at target and we were always taught at my location to accommodate the guess the best way we can and I'm very disappointed that I'm being treated this way, target is a million dollar company and you won't fix this $26 that was miss marked? she responds well our policy has changed but I can offer you 10% for the inconvenience. I told her I have no problem paying for the bathing suit at original price I'm here all the time i spent tons of money at target, I have a problem with merchandise being marked a price and you not honoring that price, I was in shock all 3 of them weren't willing to fix the mistake that was made but instead they were treating me as if I was lying and a criminal and I was messing with the tags it was very uncomfortable for me. so I continued to pay for the rest of my things and took both bathing suit's and told Seema I'm just going to have to write a bad review and let corporate know how I'm being treated and not shop here anymore because I really don't think that's right. She didn't respond to me after that. All together that's $26 they would of lost if they honored me for their mistake. I don't care about the discounts. It was the fact she wasn't apologetic or trying to work with me at all. I was so disappointed and upset. When I worked at target I remember how people would steal and be inappropriate and trying to use fake money and credit cards,I know it happens but they cannot treat everyone like that because it is extremely degrading and they had no reason to treat me that way. I love target but this store is just very messy. Not organized the shoe section looks like a tornado hit and customer service takes forever to give you your online pick up orders. So first of all, I love Target and I go there basically every week. Today I had to buy baking supplies so I head to Target in Fremont Hub with my daughters. At the register the cashier was very determined to have me sign up for a Target red card. My daughters are crying at that point and want to get out of my shopping cart and I told her politely no thank you. It wasn't until I came home that I realized she charged me twice for my non dairy chocolate chips. She was so worried about getting me to sign up for the red card, not caring that my daughters are miserable, that she scanned my item twice! It is $6 for that little bag, so I head to the Target on Whipple in Hayward because it's closer to my house and the guy at the return area told me he couldn't give me credit and I have to go to the Fremont Hub location since they were the ones that scanned twice. Woah really? Target is Target. This is the second time a cashier scanned an item twice and I never had trouble the first time getting my money back. The point is that Target needs to train their holiday staff better so they can do their jobs correctly. It would take me $6 in gas to go to the other Target to correct a mistake that they made. I go to Target all the time and this is how I get treated as a loyal costumer? Is it that hard to credit my account? It's non dairy chocolate chips, it's $6 not $600. So in summary train your staff better because I basically just donated $6, wasted my gas, and time. Stay away from the Fremont Hub and Whipple location! read more

My friends and I call this "The $100 Store." That's because it's difficult to walk through the door and NOT find a hundred other things that you actually need in addition to the one small thing that you actually came there for. After fifteen minutes of shopping, you look in your basket, and there's a whole bunch more stuff. How'd THAT get in there? So you make your way to the register before you can do TOO much damage, and when you get there, there's even MORE stuff in your basket. So you sift through it as you're putting the items onto the conveyor. "Let's see, need that, need that, that's a gift, been out of that for days, need that..." Each of these items is VERY reasonably priced, but when it all gets tallied up, somehow you've spent $100. Hence, "The $100 Store." The staff aren't exactly customer service superstars, but they're also paid just over minimum wage. So I think we should cut them some slack when they don't give you a dazzling smile as you pull out fifty coupons when there's a line of ten tired and cranky people behind you. But they really do try. And I've noticed that they seem to put in a little extra effort when you smile and treat them nicely. The parking lot could use some repaving, but I've never had a problem finding a spot (usually pretty close to the doors too). The store itself is the cleanest and nicest in the Tri-City area. And if they're out of what you want...come back in a day or two and will be restocked. read more

They open at 8 inconvenient as heck. If you leave thinking you'll get out going on Fremont blvd going towards Mowry you have to take a weird loop that takes you to walnut then you can either follow the loop or make a uturn on walnut. read more

Store is always clean and very tidy. The downside though is there never seems to be enough checkers. I shop there often as I work across the street and there has not been a time I shopped without waiting for at least 3 people in line (unless I check-out at the customer service desk which I have done because of the lines). read more

Let me begin by saying that I am a fan of targets in general due to their cleanness and customer service. However, I am very disappointed at the customer service in this particular store. One of the kids in the customer service department is always chewing gum. And when I went pick up my store online order, she left me hanging simply because she "doesn't know how to do it" she said. I understand that not everybody knows how to do everything but would you please at lease look for someone who knows to help out? It was not until someone else came by and asked me if I have been helped then I was actually being helped. I hope target can do some customer service training on this location to improve the service. I just had the BEST experience ever. I used to work at target during two different seasonal times and I know how stressful it can be working here with everyone's hustle and bustle. But tonight... I walked in with my four year old sleeping in my arms. I tried laying him in the cart and he was NOT having it. So I pushed the cart around while I carried him just trying to get a few necessities with us both sick. I walk up to the registers and Jasmine walked up through the busyness and said she could help me on number 10. So I try pushing my cart through but it got stuck. She had already gone to the lane but came back and PULLED MY CART FOR ME. She even proceeded to grab everything out of the cart and put them on the black belt. She helped me quickly and then at the end she even folded my money for me and put it in my wallet. She smiled and just was the kindest person. Two weeks ago I was in this store shopping for a baby nursery set. In the bavy dept. I came across a clearance incap. that had a cradle on the bottom shelf. after 10 mins. thinking about it I decided to get it. It did'nt have a clearance sticker on it like all the other items but it was a big box I could'nt really ture it to see . I got to the cashier and it came up as retail price($149.99). I asked the cashier to find out why It was ona clearance incap and she said 'do you want it or not'. I just left. I found a different retailer where I purchased almost $700. I came home and called the manager to let her know what I had just been through, she did'nt care. I think the staff poorley tarined. I was in there last weekend and they continue the practice. Everybody has a Target, right? Well this is my Target. I have to hit up this place at least once a week for some random item that can only be found at Target. This particular location recently added a frozen/cold food section which is a nice touch but by doing this, they completely rearranged the "shampoo and soap" section. Kind of a PITA now because me, being a dude, i have to wander up and down the aisles of the toiletries section when it's time for a new bottle of shampoo. I recently put a garden in and I've found that the garden section at this target really blows. I bought some tomato plants that are looking shabby while the others that I bought at OSH on the same day are doing great. So I don't recommend target for gardening, but then again, who would? This location is always clean and while the staff isn't super attentive, i dont' really want them to be when I'm at target. I'm giving them 4 stars because this place is how a Target should be. It's clean and organized but nothing really above and beyond. Thank you Target for allowing me to buy toilet paper, laundry detergent, a tshirt, black socks, frozen corn, and a star wars kite. Waste of time and completely unprofessional. I went to this location and asked about the SNES classic, I was told the only way to get one was to be in line the next day and get a ticket at 7am. I got there at 5:30am and waited in line untill they opened there was more than 50 people there already, some had been there since 10 pm the day before. When it came time for them to open a employee came to the door and told everyone they already sold their inventory online at midnight. The store policy that he showed us said to sell the inventory to the in store customers and then put the rest online, they did the opposite and didn't even bother to tell all the people waiting outside. That's not right the least they could have done is put a sign on the door to tell us they were sold out. read more

Ok, yes it's right near Xmas. And I need to get some electronics from this Target. I go to the counter and firstly this girl that works there is just chatting with this customer about her personal life when I arrive. But she appears to be kind of helping people. But she's in my way! I have to ask her to move to get to what I want to see. Next, I need them to unlock the games. So then I move into the line to ask for it. Meanwhile this same girl is picking up the phone to look for something for a customer on the phone. And there is a line of 4 people. So after that she finally gets back to the line, and begins chatting with each customer and taking her time. I am just like SO ANNOYED! Hey teenager! I know exactly what I want, how is it taking 30 mins to get your attention. Not only that you insist on trying to make conversations with every person there, about work, not about work, trying to upsell to a customer that clearly didn't want anything else. She drove me crazy. Normally I like this Target. This time... I wanted to talk to your superior. But in the spirit of the holidays... I let this slide. read more

My husband and I were doing some late night shopping and while we were walking around one of the mangers greets us "hello". People are usually cranky by this time of their shift, but they seemed to be in a great mood. When we got to the check out line we realized it was super long but the lady ringing people up was constantly smiling,I believe her name was Rachel. I brought up a few coupons and she was so funny pretending we were on the extreme couponing show. To see such a positive attitude And awesome personality is great! read more

It's a Target. The reason for the 2 star review, is that there's a big honkin, parking lot behind the store, where that Popeyes Chicken is. Target has their shopping carts electronically limited to *not* be able to go to this parking lot, even though it's right next to the store. But I like to park there, go to Popeyes or King Noodle for lunch, then go to Target. I made the mistake of doing that, and getting 2 cartons of cat litter, some bread, and other odds and ends. Woe is me when my shopping cart slammed on its brakes, about 100 feet short of my car. Sometimes you can still push the cart, even with locked wheels, but with the weight of the cat litter, the wheels dug into the pavement like a scared cat digs its claws into its favorite toy mouse. No go. So I had to move my stuff in between the immovable cart and my car, running back and forth, making sure no one would steal my stuff. I was not a happy camper. read more

Just had a very unpleasant interaction with a store manager (I think) named Darian (sp). I bought 2 cat n jack pants on racks with "buy one get one 50% off " signs on them. The cashier called her up when the discount did not ring up. Immediately I felt her tone of voice and body language was very condescending and dismissive, she said the discount does not apply to "basic" items. I said if that is the case then the signs should not be on racks where everything was considered "basic". And that it is not entirely clear to customers. She was very condescending and said "well if it's pants and stuff like that then they are 'basic'". I was actually fine with not having the discount. What really disappointed me was that a manager of a store that I go to every week treated me as if I was trying to game the system. I would not have been upset had she just said, "I'm sorry the signage was unclear, let me go check it out and see what we can do to make it less confusing." In truth I was not desperate for the discount. She told the cashier to "give it to her anyway." I approached her a few minutes later and let her know that I found her to be very condescending to me. She made an excuse about how her voice was loud because she was sick. However, it was not how loud her voice was. She had her hand on her hip the entire time and she was shaking her head. I let her know that it was her body language. She said something like "I did not intend to be condescending that's just how I'm talking and I'm apologizing to you right now. I've had the same conversation with lots of other customers." The entire time she said this, her voice was not apologetic, in fact it was quite rude. It is surprising that this kind of person is a store manager. She looked quite young as well. I manage 20 people in my job. I would never talk to anybody who's a customer that way. I tell my eight-year-old daughter all the time, when you apologize to someone, if you don't sound sorry, then people do not find you apologetic. This target manager seem to need that lesson as well. It is quite unfortunate, because we spend several thousand dollars a year at Target. So much for customer service. read more

Seema GSTL is the worst front end manager ever . I came into the store to make a return around 530 . I first came in and a Asian gentleman was helping clearly he look like he was new because he didn't know the right answer. I can't fault him for that because he need the proper training and know return the polices . There as an Asian girl next to him That was helping him during the transaction . The Asian girl explained to me that if I made the purchase today you won't be able to see the transaction without a receipt . She said I would have to wait u till tommorow . I have twin 7 months I can't come back . They called the manager Semma to asssist on the transaction but clearly I felt that she didn't want to assist me and didn't give me any option. She said I paid 5.29 for a an item but in the shelf it said 7.29 for the butter . Clearly some didn't put the sale sign on the sales floor . This GSTL didn't want to call a manger untill I said you don't know how to do your job . This review is directed to the floor manager Seema. She's very rude when dealing with customers. Tonight I tried to buy Zicam nasal spray and on the box was a "save $2 now" coupon which worked on everything except lozenges (basically cough drops). Again I had the nasal spray so it should've worked. I brought it to the cashier and she tried to tell me that the coupon was invalid. The cashier next to her said that it was valid and it should work. My cashier then called the floor manager who was Seema. Seema barely glanced at it before telling me that they were no longer using this coupon. If you aren't using it anymore, why is it still on the boxes on the shelf?? I bought the nasal spray anyway. I immediately took it to the customer service center where I asked the nice young man working there if he could tell me if the coupon worked. He was very respectful and understanding. He read through the coupon and said it was valid and he gave me the refund of $2 that should've been applied. Normally I wouldn't complain about $2 but I found it incredibly disrespectful that Seema seemed to be picking and choosing who this coupon could work for. She has terrible customer service skills. As someone who works in customer service, I know how important it is to deal with customers. Please teach Seema better people skills or demote her. I noticed that I am not the only person complaining about her. I love Target but I refuse to shop at this location if I have to deal with outright rude and discriminatory employees. read more

I purchased Target's BrightSpot Smart Phone via the Alcatel onetouch Fierce phone powered by T-Mobile and there's not much intelligence with this loser. Brought it back once already after having less than a week; the tech took it back to default; started all over and it's still driving me crazy. Can't access their website cause brought back to Target every time - emailed Target, they responded with a phone number which brought me to a coupon center...; can't access them via their 611 number because nothing happens when pressing a number in response to the choices offered, then worse of all, can't get the beyotch to shut up even after trying to shut the phone down. Additionally, there's no way to obtain the phone number to respond to a voice mail like the one from the tech who was trying to help me last night - from Portugal. I finally reached Customer Service this morning who was unable to verify my home phone number or the SIM number taken from the SIM card - what??? I'm returning it and getting myself out of this hellhole called BrightSpot which you obviously enter at your own risk... read more

I would like to leave a review for the electronics department at this location. My mom and I came in the night before Thanksgiving to get an idea on some deals for Black Friday. In general we received good service from all of the gentleman in this department but especially from Jatish (I think that was his name). My mom and I have little knowledge about electronics and my mom had several questions about the smart TV. Jatish had informed us that the Black Friday prices were already online and it saved us from having to come in on Thanksgiving day to get the deal; which allowed us to spend more time with our family. Thanks to jatish and his assistance, we were able to spend more time with our family, save over $150 dollars, and we felt peace of mind about investing in a new TV. Once again, I just want to re-iterate his patience with all of our questions and just how sincerely kind he was. I feel like it's rare to receive such great service around the holidays, and I feel it should be recognized.
