Price match is such a joke. This is why I'm pretty sure Target may no longer be around until they realize their business is being lost to their competitors. They stress price match to hope you feel like you're a valued client. It's not until you actually try to price match that they limit you to 1 same item. Hmm. Id understand if it's a limited item, but basic necessities that are fully stocked? It's not like there's a drove of people buying it up... Well, being a red card member spending several hundred $'s a month... I'll just click and get it delivered moving forward. Usually the benefit of being a red card holder getting a 5% discount will make Target more competitive. But they are overall more expensive... even with the 5% discount. Sadly, this Target is starting to look more like Walmart. I wish the management could hire more workers (and treat them fairly). I prefer the Pacific Commons location, even though this one is closer to my home. The bathrooms are particularly messy. There are a couple of homeless people in the Fremont Hub area, and I recently saw a man and his dog exit this Target's bathroom. It must be tough for the employees. read more

Good amount of parking spaces here too. Just coming from the Pacific Commons Target this location is noticeably less stocked and less organized/clean. Besides that it's a pretty standard Target in terms of size and customer service. They have a Starbucks (kind of messy) with four small circle tables fit for 2-3 people, one square table fit for 4, and 2 long connected rectangle tables. read more

This is one of the reasons why I've been going to the Target store at Pacific Commons more frequently but, today - Fremont hub was more convenient location wise. I was talking to the cashier and of course you get that I don't know. The woman behind me said yes it's been horrible for the last month. i was shopping at my local target around 1030am in the electronics department ago and a gentleman comes up to me and says, "are you bottom?" i said," excuse me?" he then repeated himself and i asked him to clarify. he then said ohh nevermind i was just wondering if you wanted a blow job. i said that's very inappropriate don't ever talk to me like that. he walks towards me cracking his knuckles and im thinking he wants to fight but he just walks by me. two of their staff watched this happen and i asked them if they knew him because they made it seem like it was normal and as if nothing happened. i asked them if they can call their security team, lp, a manager or whoever. they couldn't get a hold of them so he had to walk all the way to the front. he said they were too busy with something else but as soon as they finished they would get him out. they finished doing what they were doing and security still let him shop around. the employee that heard it all said the reason why he didn't do anything was because he thought i was going to fuck him up and he wanted to give me a chance to get away. when i saw security was free and the gentleman was walking around the store freely i just walked out. staff didn't do shit and thought they were being cool with me to let me get away? read more

I have split my Target shopping between the Fremont Hub and Pacific Commons location. Typically I don't have a problem shopping here with the exception of needing an item to be price matched once in awhile at guest service. However, today I had an encounter with the team member Nicole at self checkout. I kept in mind that perhaps since Target is doing an early big Black Friday sale so they are relatively busier than usual but that should not excuse bad behavior. I waited in line for self checkout and waited my turn like everyone else this Sunday afternoon at about 5:30pm. The woman that was helping another customer at self checkout, who was the front end manager, told my sister and I that the self checkout machine at the end takes card only so if we were going to use a card payment, we can proceed down. That is when we had a rude encounter with Nicole who could have told us in a different tone of voice, choice of words and body language that the checkout machine was not working at the time. Nicole's actions was to raise her voice to make it seem like I was in the wrong, saying that I needed to go back in line to wait. Sorry but that is not going to fly with me and I let her know that we were told to go down here. Her manager apologizes to me and has another cashier open register #6 to take care of us, no apology from Nicole whatsoever when clearly her manager let us know she made the mistake by telling us to go down to that self checkout machine. Train your staff better, especially now that there will be an influx of seasonal workers and shoppers these upcoming months. read more

I was in the Electronics department looking for chargers and etc. I noticed this Asian guy just peaking at me from the corner, he approached me and said "what phone do you?" I was like what? So he repeated again. I replied saying iPhone x why do you ask? And he says "oh because my case got stolen from my department that's why" I said o o Kay what does that have to do with me? he just kept walking and left. I find that offensively impolite, discriminative and really really rude to approach a random customer who happens to be in that section shopping and asking what phone do they have because your case has been stolen or misplaced.. I really hope target reaches out and fixes this issue and train their employees better so this doesn't happen to any customer who spends money. Consistent store standards with other Targets I've been in. The layout made everything easy to find and all the products I was looking for were in stock. One area of improvement is stocking the regular store gift cards with the credit card gift cards. I was looking for a couple of regular gift cards and didn't find any in my line so picked up a couple of the credit cards, which comes with a $4 activation fee each. Then, as I was done checking out and was on my way out, I saw the gift cards I was looking for in the lines at the front. So I had to go to Guest Services and do an exchange, which wasted five minutes of my time. They should just have both kinds of gift cards stocked in all lines, not just in certain ones. read more

Okay, I'm upgrading my review from 1 to 2 stars for the following reasons: - Their yogurt is now no longer expired anymore. I've checked on multiple occasions and they're fresh with a few weeks to go. So thank for your correcting this. - The order pickup works 100% of the time now in the past 5 times I picked something up. Much improved. Thank you. - The lines are shorter and the store is cleaner. Discovered that the best time to go is 11pm, when everything is nearly pristine and it's not crowded. Why is the review not 3 or 4 stars? - Somebody (possibly friends or family relation with store management, or store management themselves) keeps sending me "Compliments" on Yelp harassing me and calling me all sorts of juvenile names and cursing me out for posting my negative review of Fremont Hub Target. Not a pleasant post-purchase experience. I decided to take down the picture of the message since it was so inflammatory and contained highly offensive language. - They still never have 2% lactose free milk in stock. Never. Bottom line: I tolerate you now, Fremont Hub Target. But you need to fix the milk and customer service response issues on Yelp. read more

Assuming that this Target would be on par with all other Targets I've ever been to (meaning, hit-or-miss prices on items of hit-or-miss quality), I foolishly walked into the store with expectations: Expectations that the air would smell more like air and less like cigar-smoke air freshener. That the rolls I was eyeing would not be ten days expired. That apples would be more crisp and less bouncy in the middle of (wait for it) apple season. That like items would be grouped with like items. That the shelves would be lined with something other than mysterious residues. Sunscreen, perhaps. Sunglasses. Produce. Milk. Things that I needed to buy. And, oh, the bathrooms. What I didn't expect was that a store like this could have enough customers to keep me waiting in line for half an hour. I bought a bathing suit here. I went through the self check out line because all other lines were rediculously long. I paid for the bathing suit and left. When I arrived at my friend's pool party, I realized the security tag was still attached. The self check out should have prompted me to call an associate. At the very least, the bathing suit should have set the alarms off as I left the store. Instead, I showed up to my friend's party and was unable to use the bathing suit because it had a bright red, plastic security tag still attached. Shoppers beware, if you use the self checkout be prepared for the clerks assigned to this area to clean around you if you look like a potential thief. The clerk had a need to clean and adjust products all around me for more than 10 minutes and not say excuse me or pardon me. She walked away once for a few seconds but came back. I love target but the customer service in this location leaves much to be desired, especially at the online order pickup. The essence of online pickup is convenience and efficiency. I have to wait at least 10 minutes everyone before anyone beyond the counter will scan my order. Then they have to walk all the way somewhere at the back of the store to pick up my order. I would have gone in the store, picked up those items and paid faster than this service. I don't even know why they offer this service if they don't have enough support. First off Seema, the front lead person, is a complete jerk to customers. She's very rude, condescending, ignorant, and extremely impolite. Seema and Jorge, the store manager, broke the California law SEC. 2. Section 12024.2. They cannot charge an item more then the advertised price. Target computer system resets at midnight and any sale prices before midnight expired. Seema stated said she can't change the computer price since the sale is over in there system. However the sale tags were still up and legally they are supposed to honor it. I was trying to purchase some candy that was on sale and she refused to honor the sale price. She said for me to go speak to the store manager and pointed at the door and took off. I said seriously which person at the door, there was five people standing there including the security guard. At that moment I was furious. She continued to walk off and said those weren't suppose to be sold and I shouldn't have them behind my back. Wow rude lady, those items were on the sale floor. I didn't go to the back storage room and take them out. Jorge was not a good store manager. I didn't feel he handle the situation correctly nor does he understand consumers laws. I stood my ground and was finally able to get my chocolates. Seema continued to say rude things while I'm standing right there to the cashier. Seriously!!!??! Worst Target location ever. First off, they are always out of everything. I don't know what the deal is but obviously there is a high demand for certain things but they can't manage to keep the shelves stocked. I ordered a bike online a few months ago for in store pick up and I had to wait 45 minutes (!!) for them to find the bike in their warehouse. When they finally brought out the bike the girl said "sorry, the guy that was supposed to get your bike couldn't remember your name so it took really long. What's the point of in store pick up when you could have just walked into the store and gotten the bike faster.... Then, their in store Starbucks is NASTY. Always dirty, with overflowing trash, dirty tables and slow service. Today they didn't even have any espresso?! How does a Starbucks run out of Espresso? What a joke. I went to Target to buy headphones. It was Saturday, but no one was there. I suppose they were boycotting, because I had to walk past all the Trans gender clothing when I entered. I went to the electronics department. I was the only one there. I found the item I wanted in the glass case. I looked up at the young lady working the department. We made eye contact and she immediately looked down at her phone, ignoring me. I waited thinking she was busy. Again I looked at her and again we made eye contact. I pointed at the item I wanted in the case and, again, she looked down at her phone ignoring me. I left empty handed. I don't know if she was just lazy or, being a beautiful young African American girl, just didn't want to help the old white guy. I won't be returning to Target. Poor online pick up customer service I did an online pick up to save time . I reached the online pickup counter at 11:55 pm on 09/30/2018 when I received the target pickup notification. I was just behind 1 person . Til I got my order it was 12:15 pm since items were not even in the online checkout area the rep needed to go and fetch it from elsewhere , the representative at the point of time did not even care to acknowledge me when I asked why did it take so long (politely). All she said I had to pick it . Cut me of and said have a good day .when I stayed I was here 20mins .Politely rude (Kelly). What's the point of online pickup if it takes 20 mins I could easily select my 5 items and probably checkout around the same time . Either this is a planning issue or resource staffing issue . Priority to online should be higher than returns which was faster and staffed better . read more

Target @ Fremont Hub, I'm done with you and your teams' shenanigans. The customer service at this location is way below standards.I mean, it's not even mediocre. I went to this location because there was a comforter set (that I've been eyeing) that they had in stock (according to the Target app). I wanted to scan the barcode to see how much in was but was unable to locate a scanning kiosk. Then I remembered that I could scan it using the app and when I did so, it read that it was $11.98! SCORE!!! So when I went brought it to the counter to check out, I noticed that it rang up at Full price. And I told the cashier that when I scanned it using the app, it read $11.98, she looked at me like she didn't believe me. So she scanned it with HER phone using the app and it scanned the SAME price as mine. But she still had her lead come over to take a look at it because she said that "the price difference was significant". Ok, whatever, right? Then the lead came over saying "oh I think that it might be the online pricing." And I said "really? Because it clearly says that this is the price at YOUR location" scanned it again and guess what!? STILL $11.98! I swear you would've thought this girl thought I hacked into the Target app or something. In the end, she wouldn't budge and honor the price that it scanned on their COMPANY'S APP. I clearly could've stayed and escalated this to a manager but I had other groceries sitting in my car. But c'mon Fremont Hub Target team, I think it's time to step up your game. You guys got nothing on Pacific Commons.... Yes folks, make note: just drive the extra mile to Pacific Commons. Way more clean and organized AND the staff is very knowledgeable as well as helpful! My friend and I came here to buy a few things. The parking lot had plenty of parking. There were a lot of people here even though it was in the late afternoon. The aisles looked clean and organized to me. However, some of the items were not restocked like in the over the counter medication area (or they were sold out). This Target has the nastiest bathroom ever. I don't think I've ever used the restroom here when it wasn't completely wrecked. There's usually at least one or two toilets that are either overflowing, clogged, or just straight up have poop on the seat. It also always smells disgusting. Granted, it's a restroom and y'know, restrooms tend to smell, but I feel that this could be somewhat alleviated through better upkeep. Everything else about this Target is fine and pretty standard. I just tend to always need to use the bathroom when I'm here, so it matters. read more

Came by to pick up a few things the other day and upon entering the store, I noticed how quiet the store is, compared to WalMart (no screaming kids, no employees on the loudspeaker etc.) Wifi is Free Check out the back of the aisles for clearance items. This is the worst Target I've ever shopped at. I only go because it is a nice 15 min walk from our house. Half the fault arguably lies with the customers but if the store was more proactive about things and had better practices in place this wouldn't be an issue. Aside from the fact items are often out of stock making for a wasted trip (e.g. who runs out of anti-itch cream or distilled water?) and that the aisles are often a huge mess (e.g. shoes littering the ground, clothing unfolded and strewn across displays), Two incidents finally prompted me to leave a review. I once was issued a gift card (e.g. buy $x of something get a $y target gift card scenario) and without thinking I put it away and went home. Fast forward two weeks- I try to use said card and find the balance is gone and the sticker that was covering the code had been removed (e.g. cashier gave me a card where the sticker covering the code had already been removed and some scammer thief had stolen the balance ). Now, I always have to look at the card to make sure ( fine, I can learn to be more careful, BUT this was a gift card kept at the cashiers till!!! Makes me not trust the employees... Also, called customer service who "investigated " but never heard back) at least it's scratch off now so it's easier to tell if it's been tampered with. Then today, I opened a variety pack of bandages I bought from this target months ago, only to find that under the top layer of boxes, someone had opened every box and took out like 4 bandages from each. I mean it's a loss of like 20 bandages out of like a 100, big deal right? (Some petty thief wanted to get a few bandages bad enough to open a box and close everything back up to escape detection) But seriously- this makes me question safety of things I buy at this Target and honestly it makes me question this neighborhood and lose trust in this merchant. I have also had spoiled fresh pet food that had not passed expiration date yet, overheard staff bad mouthing annoying customers, witnessed annoying bad customers playing around in the store and creating a mess, often super long lines, just a myriad of small things pointing to a poorly run store or overwhelmed store. Better off going to the target in Pacific Commons. Never anything in stock and extremely messy. I thought I would have some luck with their order pick up, but WRONG. They picked an item that was all messed up when there were a couple of nicer ones on the floor. And when I wanted to exchange for the exact same item, I couldn't because you have to wait til the next day to return or exchange. Definite waste of my time. I love target but this location sucks. 1 star for Fremont hub target but 5 stars for target customer service representative. They were able to solve the issue. Meh. Clean store, employees are helpful and friendly. *Usually find what I am looking for. Now as far as the Bridal Registry: Why oh Why did I register at Target? The place around the other side of the Hub is excellent! Target...was not. They warn you to be sure to scan items and not the barcode on the shelf, or else. BELIEVE THEM. Scan the shelf, and you will have weird stuff on your registry. Even if you don't scan the shelf, make sure to check your registry monthly, because you may find, as most brides do, that baby & toddler items will suddenly pop up on your registry. No, I don't want baby bottles or a plastic toddler baseball bat, and no I'm not announcing a pregnancy! When I went to the counter to ask to set up my registry, the girl was a bit cold, but whatever. Then she gave me one of those Club Wedd packages with coupons and such. Cool, right? Well how about all the coupons had expired 6 months earlier. (shakes head) On another trip, I went to the counter and told them as an FYI that baby & toddler items keep popping up on my registry, and I know it's happening to a lot of other brides that I have spoken with. Our family and friends are starting to ask us questions, if you know what I mean. She couldn't care less, she said that nobody there was adding them (um I didn't accuse anyone!) and she gave me a ph# for the place that manages the registries. Thanks, but I've got a wedding to plan, not an hour to kill. I thought it was YOUR job as Customer Service to report questions/complaints to them. Also if you do a Target registry be warned, most of your items will become unavailable quickly, and your list will be a few items among a list of no pic with "available in store" and a longer list of items that are no longer available in store or online. This target is 'meh', but it is certainly nicer than the one in Livermore, but not nearly as nice as the one in San Ramon. It's located in the Fremont Hub, so every other store that you desire to go to after will be literally a few steps away. I wasn't really wowed by anything except for the size, but I did notice that their clothing and accessories were much more diverse than most locations. The purses are adorable! Bathrooms are clean, which is nice. But that should be expected of any Target lol. Overall, it's solid Target. read more

I have never written a bad review before but this place went downhill fast. Worst Target location, very dirty, trash laying around and restrooms are disgusting. It appears that they are letting a young crew run the place and you just see them laughing, talking, standing around, actually talking crap about customers at the express registers. The lady that helped me was very nice and ignored the bantering of her coworkers. There are a lot of employees but for some reason, inventory is more in the floor, on pallets instead of being on the shelves. Whoever is in charge or in headquarters needs to take a proper look at the staff here and be a secret shopper and fire whoever hired a bunch of kids. I know people say negative things about Walmart, but this place is worse, and that's saying a lot. read more
