    After - the finished product
    Monica M.

We purchased our home without noticing that there was a hole in one of the window panes in our living room (it wasn't on the appraisal, either, so it was a "pleasant" surprise). We let it go without repair and had it on our repair "to do" list. One balmy and humid day in March 2021, I noticed that the crack had not only grown bigger, but a shard of glass was about ready to pop right out. It was late in the evening, and without anyone who could come out at that hour, my husband and I tried taping it up and ended up dropping the shard which shattered inside our home. At the time, I was pregnant and due anytime, and we had 2 children already, so we knew we needed to get this window fixed ASAP. After a call for recommendations for window repair in our community Facebook group, I was referred over to Target Glass & Window. The entire process from obtaining a bid to scheduling the repair was the most thorough and organized process I have ever been through. The staff at Target Glass were very responsive to emails, and their work and scheduling were well thought out and organized (ex. Respond to our email by "X" time today and we can guarantee your appointment window), and the technicians were on time to every appointment. I highly recommend them for every window repair or installation need.

Dave and his crew made more weeping holes outside and inside the window.

Dave and his assistant was awesome. He knew right away what the problem was and able to get some drilling in and outside of the bottom window frame to prevent the bottom window still from flooding.

We are thrilled with the new beautiful shower doors installed today. The Target crew went right to work, had the doors installed in no time. They even removed a huge mirror for us and took it with them as part of their fabulous service, as well as the old shower doors. We couldn't be happier.

Can you put a mail insert in my glass commercial door?

Please send an email to 'targetglass1952@gmail.com' to receive answers to your questions. Our technicians do not have access to this page.

I need a glass top for my wood dining table. It is 47 inches in diameter. Do you do those?

We can have glass fabricated to most specs, a 47" diameter would be no problem, i just need to know how thick? We can exchange e-mails through targetglass1952@gmail.com to discuss the other optional details to be able to create pricing for you.

Chris did an excellent job guiding the project and making sure everything went smoothly throughout the process. The installation crew (Manny and Omar) were absolutely amazing, professional, efficient, detail-oriented, and incredibly clean. They worked hard, respected our home, and left everything spotless when the job was complete. If you're looking for a company that provides great communication, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer service, I highly recommend Cal Coast Window and Door.

We got an estimate from Andersen (less the storm door). Their products and installation method were top-notch, but so was their estimated price! So we wanted something more economical. After some research we heard Milgard windows using an "retrofit" installation would be more in our price range. We also wanted a window/door-installation company that gave us a good price estimate (1/3 the cost of Andersen), was in our locale (Tri-Valley) , and had 5-star rating already. So we were happy to find Cal Coast that met those criteria. The initial estimate process was straightforward. Our estimator was friendly and efficient. The format of the estimate came in digital PDF format. It was easy to print, and the details and layout were very helpful with diagrams of what the windows and door would look like with dimensions. One measurement for one window was slightly off. I mentioned that to my estimator. He assured me that was not a problem because if I accepted their estimate, then the next step was for another technician would come out to the house to re-measure the windows more accurately and in more detail. We did accept the estimate, and indeed another technician came out to do detailed measurements. Then we received a revised and more detailed contract in that same great layout! The estimator kindly set our expectations that our windows and door were going to take 5-6 weeks to custom manufacture and about 1 to 2 days to install. Those timings were right on target, which helped us in planning other events in our life. Installation only took 1 day! The crew was great - courteous, hard working, and efficient. They put foam insulation in the space between our window frames and the new windows. The caulking work was professional. I was pleased. And the crew cleaned up after themselves perfectly. Another thing I was pleased with was Cal Coast's production manager helped me apply and get my city building permit for the new windows. The day of installation, the foreman handed me a nice folder with the printed permit with other instructions. I really appreciated that. Also after installation she worked with my city building department to schedule a final inspection by a city inspector. When the inspector came out, because the product and installation were superb, it passed with no problem. Of course, I paid a little more to have this permit processing service, but it was well worth it. Finally, as you can tell from this rather long review, I'm very pleased with our experience with Cal Coast and the Milgard products. I add my 5-star review to others that have gone before me for Cal Coast!

The consultant comes at the agreed upon time- very much on time. We get into the construction site - and off the bat he says Renewal by Andersen is not for people using Home Depot or Lowe's windows or doors!! Not sure where he got that from- because we have no windows installed so far!! He went on to ask me my experience with costs of doors so far - I said I have quotes from $9k to $30k. He said the renewal costs were much higher. I said okay - how much would my French door cost? He asked if I was the owner- I said I was managing the project. Mind you this is a fenced site and I had access to the property. The moment I said I was managing the project- he said sorry I cannot give you a quote because I am not the owner!!! In setting up the appointment nobody asked for the owner to be there for the quote. If that was a requirement I would have not wasted my time with these folks!! I wasted an hour of my time with this company that talks about customer focus - but completely lacks it!! Will never recommend this company to owners who use me as project manager for their construction!! Response to Antonio: There is a very big difference in giving a quote and signing the contract. I completely agree that the home owner needs to sign the contract- whereas it is reasonable for the project manager to get the quotes. For this specific project I have so far got around 20 quotes from companies from around the USA. Yours was the first company that refused to give a quote to anyone other than the owner. Having said all this- I did have a very nice conversation with one of your leaders, that went over the process in detail and explained the situation to me. I am very appreciative of this conversation and thank you for your time and patience.

First and foremost, I have never hired an Andersen Windows (Renewal by Andersen, etc) franchise,…read moreand I never will. I do not have a positive opinion about this company. My opinion herein is based on the years of off-putting advertising tactics I have experienced from this specific Andersen, and when applicable, I will identify when I'm talking about the tactics of other Andersen franchises. Marketing advertisements have existed in some form for millennia. Which is exactly how old I feel whenever I receive yet another huckstery piece of misleading mail from Renewal by Andersen. Thousands of exhausted years old. Over the past decade, I have personally received many dozens of postal mailing pieces from this Renewal by Andersen. At least half of them have arrived in a distasteful manner: * paper advertisements in my USPS mailbox with no visual evidence of USPS postage being paid; * plain envelopes with no return address on them, and handwritten (or "handwritten") occupant names, engineered to look like personal correspondence; * advertisements in a different size/shape/paper thickness that stick out from and fall out of advertising circulars, invariably causing litter; * fake "past-due notices" or "billing statements" that are just advertisements in disguise, but which could fool consumers. I have tried various methods to remove myself and my address from their advertising lists. None of these methods have been successful. To compare and contrast, I've contacted numerous reputable companies over the years (directly, and via non-profit third parties) and requested removal from direct mail, and those efforts are very often successful. But with the volume of non-consensual paper mail i have received over the years from Renewal by Andersen of SF, I could paper over my existing windows to complete darkness.

Judy took my order and coordinated everything over the phone. After placing the order, I realized I needed to make a small change to the dimensions, and she handled it without any problems. Since I never received an email confirmation, I started wondering if the revised measurements had actually made it onto the work order. That's probably just me, I tend to overthink things. I called a few days later, and Jim let me know the glass was ready for pickup. With the chaos of moving into our new home, we couldn't make it over until a few days later. Before leaving, I called one last time, and Sean was kind enough to read the measurements back to me. It was a small gesture, but it gave me complete peace of mind before making the drive. When we arrived, Sean helped load the glass and even included a dozen clear silicone bumpers so the glass would sit properly on the table. Those little details made a great impression. The glass fit perfectly, the polished edges look fantastic, and it completely transformed the table while protecting it from everyday family life. To most people it's just a piece of glass. To me, it's protecting the place where my family will share meals, celebrate birthdays, play games, help the kids with homework, and make memories for years to come. Thank you, Judy, Jim, and Sean, for the excellent service, quality craftsmanship, and fair pricing. I am glad to heartily recommend Economy Glass Services.

They were professional, took the time to make the job professional, plumb, and they left the job site immaculate. The door fits tightly (in a very good way) and feels like it will last a long time. They reused my existing hardware (per plan) and installed all of that cleanly and fully functional. They even installed a door stop for me per request. Everything was rock solid and professional caliber. To save a few bucks in labor, R&M recommended I do the painting myself, I gladly accepted the idea since that's the easy part and time consuming when doing multiple coats. The owner(s) who walked and quoted the job were great at explaining the process and communication was excellent from all whom I interacted with at R&M. Rob had to come out the following week to replace a door gasket with a slight nick in it. Instead of complaining about how trivial that was, they had zero questions and it was clear they expected the job to be as perfect as I did. All payments (e.g. down payment, final payment) were performed via their digital online payment portal for convenience. If your door project simply has to be good, I'd definitely give these guys a try.
