Best Armenian finger food in town! Once you enter, you're smacked with the smell of fresh dough and spices and an Armenian woman to greets you with her cute little hair net. The menu is posted on the wall with all the pricings. The Lahmajuns are to die for! The seasonings are perfect and the warm meat on a thin dough is like a pizza but 10x better. The Boregs (both spicy and normal) are amazing! The dough is incredible and the cheese is not too salty. The spinach boreg is a dream for a vegetarian. You will probably never have anything that's as tasty as thing boreg - trust me! OHHH and the Manaeish is divine! You can pick up a bag full to go and store it in your freezer for breakfast or whenever. They're always fresh! You can eat there or take away. Either way everything is fresh and delicious. I live right next to Taron bakery and have been a patron of this bakery for over 8 years. They make awesome Armenian pastries and lahmajune. However, as of recently I have had to stop coming to this location. The staff flat out do not care about COVID. The bakers in the back and all the other staff do not wear masks at all, you can go in anytime at any day and look in the back and not one of them will be wearing a mask. The lady who servers and charges you wears a mask that hangs by her ear most days and she is the one who handles the food and bags it. The last time I went to this location was the last, the lady at the from was cleaning something from her mouth with her hand and then went on to bag my food. When asked why her and her staff were not wearing masks, her response was that it is too hot to wear masks. This place has gone from being one of my daily locations to purchase breakfast for my family to being a place that I actively avoid like the plague. If you are actually concerned about COVID or have family that are immunocompromised/elderly, I would advise you to do the same. Hopefully if enough people complain they will change their protocols and start treating this pandemic seriously. Until then, toodles! read more

We've been going to Taron for lahmajin for year. However, lately they have been cutting back on the amount of meat! I understand that meat shrinks after cooking but this is completely different. Horrible customer service. I went to get Lahmajun yesterday and their card reader malfunctioned . It wouldn't read my card . Anyway, the lady ( short blonde hair Armenian female ) was very rude to me and barked at me : give me other card . Excuse me? Who says that to the customer ? Then she barks: or pay cash . I freakin' love Taron's Bakery. It's ridiculous how far I'll drive to get my fix of lahmajeen and spicy cheese bourek from here. I make my own lahmajeen and I've had it at plenty of other places, but nothing can ever compare to having a fresh outta the oven lahmajeen from Taron's. They have it perfected. Without a doubt a very authentic & delicious Armenian bakery that carries a limited menu of fresh baked savory goods. They do have 1 sweet item which is tahini bread & that is a very acquired taste. Not really my cup of tea. They produce some delicious Lahmajune's otherwise known as "Armenian Pizza". My one true favorite item is their regular Cheese filled triangle shaped Beoreks. The dough is fresh slightly crispy & chewy. The filling of salty cheese has faint hints of green onion bites perhaps? I really enjoy all these items with a ice cold Yogurt drink called "Tan". That is a savory, salty yogurt drink to be enjoyed with savory items. Not for all as none of my friends care for it. They take cards but minimum purchase of $10 is required. This is my absolute go-to lamajun spot in Glendale. The lamaujuns here are freshly baked in a stone oven and are not heated in a conventional oven even if you are only ordering one or two. This is the real deal. If it's your first time having lamajun, have it with a cold yogurt drink, which they also sell. The green lid is less salty! I will have to say, their prices are a bit more than other local bakeries, which are about 90 cents a piece compared to $1.25, but that might be because of the style it's baked in? They also have mini sizes, but anything "mini" has to be pre-ordered according to the cashier. I came in here & waited for a hot fresh made cheese Borek! Well worth the wait delicious especially with some Tan (savory yogurt drink). It truly compliments the Borek. I have not tried the other fillings can not vouch for them. I have had the Borek not made right then & there & it isn't that great. Straight out of the oven is the way to go. The Tan drinks they carry are the mint flavored, original(red cap) & Ayran Tan. My ultimate favorite with the Borek is the Red label & cap one. read more
