Pretty tasty food, servise was really good we had constant re fill on our waters and servers came to ask how everything was tasting pretty often. Oh and our food was served pretty fast too. Definitely will be back!

Taste and Glory is one of those brunch spots that lives up to the hype. You can tell the kitchen pays attention to the details, from the beautifully plated entrées to the perfectly cooked eggs and crispy, well-seasoned sides. The drinks were equally impressive, especially the specialty lattes and refreshing house beverages that paired perfectly with the meal. Came on a Friday afternoon. Waited 5-10 min. Not long. Ordering was quick. Got their chicken croffle, Tom yum scramble and an ube latte Honestly left a tad disappointed. For the chicken croffle. You do lose all the flakiness of the croissant. The chicken was good. The Tom yum scramble. The Tom yum sauce doesn't work well with the. Other flavors. Wish the croissant was toasted. The ube latte was good. Not too sweet.
We saw that Taste & Glory had a lot of hype and mentions of long lines, but we thankfully got lucky one day and got in with 0 wait. Cute and quaint cafe in San Mateo with unique offerings. The thai tea french toast immediately caught my eye because I love thai tea and anything thai flavored in general. While it is presented beautifully, the flavor itself fell flat for me. Thai tea is known to have bold flavor and a strong tea taste. This was really lacking that. My partner got the chicken croffle and he loved it. I tried it and it is definitely something I'd order too! Chicken was nice and crispy and the croffles weren't dry or soggy, but the perfect in between. We liked that it came with both a savory sauce and syrup. I'd definitely return to try other things sometime.
Delicious brunch spot! I recommend getting there as early as possible since the wait can get pretty long. We went on a weekend and were able to get seated right at opening. We tried two dishes and both were excellent: -Tom yum scramble: The tom yum flavor really came through and was present in every bite of the eggs. -Thai tea french toast: Great flavor overall. I liked that the thai tea sauce was served on the side so you can adjust the sweetness to your preference. I do wish the french toast had been a bit fluffier but overall still good. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for brunch with unique and flavorful dishes!
We walked in on a Saturday - right before the line got super long - and waited for 10 minutes. Staff greeted us and took our orders right away. The tables were really close together so it was a bit harder to maneuver around. It was easy for someone to bump into the table when passing by. For drinks we got the blue butterfly - which is on the sweeter side. We also got the iced biscoff latte but a bit disappointing. It wasn't sweet enough and you couldn't really taste the coffee. We really enjoyed our dishes - carbonara udon, crispy honey chicken Benedict and the ube pancakes. The carbonara udon was on par with the one we had in Japan. The chicken Benedict was full of flavor and the eggs were cooked to perfection. I've had better ube pancakes in the peninsula but they still tasted good!
The food is rounded up to four stars. I liked the carbonara udon. I don't think an omelette here though for example would be worth braving the line (yes, even on a weekday there was a line) and parking situation. If you see no line and you find a parking spot, it's a cute brunch place; otherwise it's not worth it because you do feel a bit rushed even if you get in (not from staff necessarily but just seeing the crowd). There are more brunch options downtown now though (Johnnys, whispers) so maybe things eased up.
One of the better brunch places I've had in awhile. Immediately we noticed that there's a line, and luckily the wait was not long but they do require the entire party to be there to be seated. We had the chicken croffle and the tom yum croissant. I liked the chicken croffle with how big the fried chicken is, and the sauce it comes with complements the flavors well. The chicken itself was a little bit dry in the middle. The tom yun croissant is very creative, never had anything like it before. I like that there's a lot of crab provided in the croissant. It can get heavy after awhile with the sauce. Overall I had a good experience here, good service despite being so busy most of the time. I would come again!
I've driven by this place multiple times, saw the lines outside, and had really high hopes. Unfortunately, after finally trying it, I found it completely overrated. The Good: Presentation & Vibes: The food looks amazing. The portions are generous, and the dishes come beautifully plated with toast, fresh fruits, and great presentation. If you're here strictly to take photos for social media, you'll love it. Carbonara Udon: This was the standout dish of the meal--flavorful, well-made, and we cleaned the entire plate. The Bad: Spicy Fried Chicken Plate: Extremely dry and virtually tasteless. Dungeness Crab Salad: You couldn't taste any fresh crab--just pure saltiness. I actually had to use ketchup just to eat it. The Service: Beyond the food, the service was frustrating. The staff were running around and chatting with each other, but completely forgot our two drinks until long after all of our food had already arrived. When we brought it to their attention, we got a totally indifferent "whatever" attitude--like forgetting items or brushing off customers is just standard practice for them. Final Thoughts: I went on a Monday, so thankfully there was no wait. I definitely wouldn't recommend waiting in a weekend line for this. To me, a great restaurant needs good taste and attentive service in addition to nice plating. I won't be coming back or recommending this spot for actual food lovers, but if you just want pretty photos for social media, it serves its purpose.
Great first experience! Very cute place with great food. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Good came out pretty quick too. I ordered the Crème Brûlée French Toast and O.M.G it was SO good. It legitimately tastes like crème brûlée. Even the top of the French toast was crunchy and sugary. I also ordered the iced Ube which was so tasty! Not too sweet and it had chunks of Ube in it. Yummy!! I left very happy and satisfied. Definitely look forward to coming back.
Cute, modern, and cozy brunch spot. My friend and I came here at around 1pm on a Saturday. There were 3 parties ahead of us when we arrived, so we waited about 10-15 minutes before being seated. It took some time for our food to come out after ordering. I ordered the Crispy Honey Chicken Benedict. I really enjoyed this dish. The potatoes were perfectly bite-sized, crispy, and seasoned. The poached eggs and chicken were a good combo. Whenever I order an eggs benedict, I'm only able to finish half and have to box up the other half. However, I was able to finish 98% of this dish. It could be I was super hungry this day or the flavors and portion were just right for me. Anyways, that's just to say it was good.
Finally checked this place off my brunch bookmark list after wanting to try it for quite some time. We came around noon on a Saturday and only had a short wait outside, though the line situation felt pretty chaotic with multiple customers walking straight into the restaurant and skipping ahead. Thankfully, we were still seated within about 15 minutes. I really enjoyed the Tom Yum Scramble served inside a croissant. The croissant itself was a bit disappointing, slightly stale and reminiscent of a Costco croissant but the tom yum scramble was absolutely delicious and flavorful enough to make up for it. The Thai Tea French Toast was nicely balanced and not overly sweet, though I would've liked a bit more texture and crunch. As for the drinks, I'd probably skip them next time. Both the ube latte and matcha latte tasted a little artificial, and I've definitely had better versions at other brunch spots. Overall, I enjoyed the food and appreciated how attentive the service was.
Love the place, love the food and love the service. This place is surprisingly fabulous inside and the aesthetic is on point. I love the ambiance and the attentiveness of the servers and host. Seating was no issue and food came out super fast. The food was excellent and the portion was hearty. The food was savory and a healthy well balanced with salad and variety of potatoes sides. The coffee was refillable and so aromatic. Our brunch experience here was quite memorable and has told many friends and families to go and visit this place. Hope to come again and try the Thai French toast next time and looking forward. read more

Now I see what all the fuss is about. Really great food. Prices are on the high side but after experiencing the quality, it all seems very reasonable. About a 15 minute wait for a party of 6 at 11:45am on a Thursday. Not bad, especially considering the crowds on the weekends. Of what we ordered, the Chicken croffle was the standout even though everything seems great here. read more

A small line went out the door when I arrived around 11:30am for lunch. There's no waitlist, but there umbrellas and menus to look at (grab them near the entrance) while you wait outside. Nice interior which is fairly tight, but cozy once you're in your seat. Service was good, considering how busy the place was. The staff was welcoming and managed to check on my party a couple of times during the lunch rush. I got the BLTE and an unsweetened iced tea. I added the handy packets of sweeteners on the table to the iced tea to my taste. The BLTE was good with the egg still gooey. I liked the bread a lot with the mayonnaise. The fries visually looked good, but taste/texture-wise were disappointing with the Parmesan struggling hard to impart any flavor to the fries. Salt helped a lot. My friend got the chicken croffle and maybe I should have gotten it too. It was a fun visual feast, though she wished there was more sauce to go with it (it came with some sauce, but not enough for it all and it needed the sauce for the full flavor). Very visually appealing place, with attractive food. Come when the weather is nice for the line outside. I'm not afraid to add more of the condiments to my food, I recommend doing so as there is a small selection on each table. read more

Love this place. I'm so glad I celebrated my bday lunch here!! Food was amazing, so good!! I had ordered the Crispy chicken lemon, and because I have a sweet tooth... I had to order the Mascarpone & berry pancakes to share. Service was good. They were very friendly. Ambiance was beautiful, perfect for insta!! I will def be back, and I highly recommend!! read more
My friend and I visited on a Saturday around 12:30pm and had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. I was able to find 2 hour street parking which was only a short walk away from the restaurant. The crab cakes and the hollandaise sauce in the crab cake benedict were tasty, but the eggs were slightly overcooked and one of the english muffins were a bit hard for my preference, but overall still a good dish that I would get again. I felt that the dish had a good portion that left me full. The blue butterfly was very distinctly lychee flavored and not too sweet which is a plus. They did forget to give us utensils after giving us our food (they were definitely busy at this time) and near the end, I felt slightly rushed to finish, but overall, I would go back to Taste & Glory for lunch! read more

I could really taste the glory here. Got the tom kha scramble, was a little dry but a generous amount of crab. Ube late was pretty good. Service was nice too, always on top of the water refills. Spot is cute and trendy for sure. A place u can go def go to by yourself and chill out. read more
Went on a Sunday so understandably busy but they got us sat pretty quickly. You won't get a table until your whole party is present btw. Small space so it can feel a little claustrophobic. The food came out quick and the service was great! I got the chicken and waffles and it was good but not my favorite. I also got the ube drink and asked for espresso to be added. Next time I'll go without the espresso haha. read more

My mom and I came on a Tuesday morning which was ideal, since every time I drive past on the weekend there's a huge line! The space is bright, clean, and very cute. We were seated immediately, but the service was pretty slow throughout our meal. I got the huevos rancheros which came with these delicious sweet potato fries. The huevos rancheros were pretty good-the egg was cooked perfectly and went great with the beans and chorizo. My mom got the yaki udon which was absolutely delicious- the udon had the perfect texture and it was the perfect amount of savory. The presentation of both looked great! I also ordered the iced ube drink but it was pretty underwhelming. The beautiful purple color looked promising but it was pretty chalky and didn't taste sweet at all. Overall, it was a great meal but I'm not sure if I'd wait more than like 20-30 min for it again. read more
What a weekend-brunch spot, also dog-friendly! So many times, I have driven past this restaurant and there's always a line out the door. Turns out, their waitlist is just standing in line! For a Sunday 11:00a arrival, we waited maybe 30 min to be seated from standing in line for a table for 4 + dog! The staff were very welcoming and confirmed that we could bring in our small dog. The staff moved quickly to seat as many people as possible which was appreciated as the sun started shining! The inside of the restaurant was also smaller than expected, but the color scheme and inclusion of their faux-grass wall was a cute touch. Inside was definitely pleasing to the eyes, but the back tables had a lower ceiling so beware for taller people. I enjoyed the crab cake eggs benedict and the chicken and waffle! The crab cakes were packed with lump crab meat and had a nice sweet flavor of dungess crab plus the onions etc. to make the crab cake. I liked its crispy outside and felt it complimented the eggs benedit hollaindaise and runny egg yolk. I loved getting the small crispy potatoes and acidic salad to help balance out the heaviness of the hollaindaise. The chicken and waffle was also good, but a little dry. The waffle was a little tough and difficult to cut through. I would've liked some more fruits to help balance out the fried chicken and the drier waffle. Overall the meal was good, the wait wasn't bad, and I would come again! read more
So yummy, 100% recommend the chicken croffle. The mix of everything and topped off with biscoff crumb is so delectable. The staff are always so nice and attentive. I love the matcha because it tastes like the lattes I make at home. The interior is nice with sage accents & little knick knacks from Popmart (very trendy). There's a decent amount of seating, the 2 times I've been here the wait was not long at all and got seated in less than 10 minutes. Would recommend trying this Taste & Glory! read more

Taste and Glory is hands down one of my favorite brunch places in the bay area. This time around, my partner and I ordered a more basic omelet as well as the crab cake eggs benedict and the thai tea. Both of the food items were delicious and cooked really well. They are plated well and really feel complete. In addition, the drinks are always so good here and have so much flavor. The thai tea was actually very tea forward and not too creamy. Food here and service here are both 10/10. I really appreciate all of their attention to detail here. read more
Expect a bit of a wait when you get here, but the line moves relatively fast! We waited (as a party of 2) for about 20 min to get seated around 10 am on a Sunday. The crab cake Benedict and smoked salmon Benedict portions were perfect for brunch. The potatoes were very tasty yet not too oily, so that was a plus. If you're looking for a calm place to sit down and talk for a while, I would suggest going elsewhere since it gets busy here! It seems like there's a 1 hour dining limit. The place itself is cute and has a nice vibe, but the service was a bit underwhelming. It took a while for someone to take our order, and there wasn't much attentiveness after that -- no one checked in during the meal. We ordered an iced matcha latte and a yuzu lemonade -- both drinks were really good, especially the latte. For food, we got the French toast with berries and the crab cake eggs benedict. The crab cakes were deep-fried and didn't taste particularly fresh, and the portion of side potatoes was tiny. The salad was fine, nothing special. The French toast was decent, but not memorable. Try the Banana Cloud French Toast!! Came here on Saturday around 12 and got seated within 10-15 mins of waiting in line. The line moved quickly, but I'd recommend arriving earlier if you're coming on a weekend. Service was friendly and efficient, even during the lunch rush. We ordered the Norwegian and Chipotle Benedicts, along with the Banana Cloud French Toast and everything tasted great! The only downside was that the muffins from the benedicts were tough and hard to cut through but still flavorful. Our absolute favorite was the banana cloud french toast omg it was soo yummy. I would definitely come back just for that and to try their other savory menu items. read more

Met here for brunch last Saturday. It's pretty bright inside. Simple, clean decor. We arrived at 10 and were seated promptly. I'm not sure if this place takes reservations but if they do, I would make one. This place fills up fast and has a constant flow of customers. We all ordered a Benedict. Friends ordered crispy honey chicken Benedict and chorizo Benedict. No complaints. One substituted the rainbow potatoes for sweet potato taters. They looked delicious but I actually loved the rainbow potatoes. They were kinda like home fries but they were really nice and crispy like they came out of a fryer rather than the oven. I ordered the classic Benedict but asked them if they could substitute the ham for bacon and it was near perfect. It could have used a bit more hollandaise sauce but the sauce itself was really tasty. I noticed that my hollandaise sauce tasted a little spicy. I don't think it was supposed to be but it was. Maybe it was the bacon? Regardless, it was delicious. I loved the crispy rainbow potatoes and the salad had a nice tangy dressing. We also ordered the Banana Cloud French Toast for the table and it was a great way to end the meal. I'm more of a savory person, but I always love a little bite of something sweet. I also love bananas in desserts so this was right up my alley. In all my years of living, I've never had almonds in French toast and because of this experience I don't think I ever want to have French toast again without it. It was sensational. The French toast itself with the caramelized bananas, the crunchy almonds, and the creamy but not overly sweet marscapone cream.. perfection. I was sad when it was all gone. Service was friendly and fast. The menu here offers a wide variety of options including a lot of Asian inspired dishes. This is particularly nice if you have a hankering for both Asian food and classic brunch fare. Awesome experience. Also want to mention the delicious coffee and beautiful attention to detail with the silverware. Absolutely love it. read more
Finally have the time to write a review. We came here last Saturday and waited about 5-10 minutes to be seated. The staff were friendly and accommodating since we had 3 kids with us. We ordered the chicken and croffle for the kids. Although the kids did not like the batter, the chicken itself was tender and moist. I ordered the steak and egg for myself. Nothing extraordinary but the fries that came with it was crispy and not salty. read more

Pulled up to Taste & Glory on a Sunday at 10:30am and there was already a line forming. Luckily, we found parking right in front (blessing), and I think there's a lot in the back too. It's first come, first served -- no waitlist -- and honestly, I like that setup. The host was doing a solid job managing by party size... until he seated another party of 3 that showed up after us. Same size as ours. That definitely left a sour taste in my mouth, but I kept my cool and tried to let it go. We were seated about 2 minutes later, and our server took our order right away. The interior is super cute and clean -- loved the vibe and attention to detail. Now the food: * I got the chicken and waffle (aka the chicken croffle), and let me tell you -- it was hands down the best I've ever had. Perfectly crispy, flavorful, and the sauce it came with? Chef's kiss. I was impressed. * My boyfriend had the salmon benedict and really enjoyed it. * His son got the steak and eggs and said it was the best steak he's ever had. And trust me, this kid isn't easily impressed, so that says a lot. Despite the small seating mishap, everything else made up for it. Food, service, and vibes were all on point. 4/5 Stars We came in on a weekday around noon. There's a small parking lot behind the restaurant, but there's also 2hr street parking and residential parking nearby. Thankfully, there was no line and we got seated immediately. The tables are arranged pretty closely together so I could definitely hear the conversation next to our table, but I didn't mind too much (seemed like a first date so it was fun to listen in sometimes). Service was a little slow, but nothing to complain about. We ordered their specialty dishes: the Chicken Croffle and Tom Yum Scramble. - Chicken Croffle: this was my favorite, I really enjoyed the sweet and savory pairing, and with the chili sauce for some spice... the perfect bite. The waffle was a little hard to cut, but that's probably because I just need to go to the gym more. The chicken was crispy! - Tom Yum Scramble: alright the price is steep ($28) and the croissant is lowkey giving Costco croissant. However, the tom yum crab filling was absolutely yum. The portion is massive, so that's what you're paying for too. I would say the star of this place is the ambiance. This is a great place to catch up with friends and family (or a first date). Will definitely be back to try the other dishes! read more
First time here. We tried the Oreo latte which was tasty. The service was great and the food came out quick which was nice. It is a busy place with the restaurant very clean and cute decorations. We both had omelettes which we both liked. If you are in the area stop by it's worth it! read more

We waited about 25 minutes for a table for three. Two of us ordered the chicken and croffle, while the third person got an omelette. We also shared the crème brûlée French toast. The French toast was good, but quite sweet. The highlight for me was the chicken and croffle! The chicken was incredibly juicy and crispy, while the croffle was chewy and delicious with the maple syrup. Overall, a great experience with delicious food that left us all satisfied. Definitely recommend the chicken and croffle! read more

I'm not sure why pets are allowed in places where food is being served. Not everyone wants to dine with dogs. It's not sanitary at all, considering dogs are known to shake off, which could spread dander and hair in patrons food. The food was good, but this is unacceptable. I don't choose to come out of my home, and go to an establishment, to pay to eat and have to sit/eat next to an animal. This is NOT ok. read more
A very popular brunch spot that's actually worth the hype! I love that their menu has a large variety of Asian fusion brunch items that's not just thick cut bacon (iykyk). The star of our meal is most definitely the Tom Yum Scramble, which has a GENEROUS portion of Dungeness crab, served on a light croissant. Be prepared to wait in line and step into a chaotic yet organized, aesthetic brunch spot. Service was good, and you will be sitting very closely next to other tables. read more

This was a fabulous brunch place on a lovely Saturday afternoon. There's a bit of a wait, but you want to try to get your name on the list as early as possible. There's parking in the back area some street parking. The restaurant is really charming and I love all the decorations. I ordered the fried chicken waffles and it didn't disappoint! The portions are huge so it's great for sharing or taking home leftovers. The fried chicken was cooked so well with crispiness and great flavor. It paired really nicely with the crispy waffle and the sweetness from the berries and syrup. read more

We came in at 9:30am on Sunday Morning and we only had to wait 10 minutes for a table. The service was amazing and the interior was sooo cute and clean! The tom yum scramble was something I've never had before. The tom yum was very accurate and it worked really well with all the omelette fillings. There is SO MUCH CRAB inside the omelette. The crème brûlée French Toast was very sweet & decadent. If you like custard you will like this. I don't think I could eat this by itself but it was very tasty and a good dessert! The chicken was SO JUICY and I loved the croffle. The crossiant was giving mochi texture and I really loved the sauces it came with. Overall the service and food was great! I would definitely recommend this place for a cute brunch spot in San Mateo :) Please be aware that there is no waitlist system. It is a first come first serve so be prepared to wait :) read more
I've been wanting to try Taste and Glory, and I'm glad I finally did! Thankfully, there was no wait for our group of 5 on a Sunday afternoon. The Chicken Croffle and Carbonara Udon were delicious, and I really enjoyed my butterfly pea drink. My least favorite was the Tom Yum Scramble, but overall, everything was yummy. How did I not know about this spot?! Stopped in for lunch on a weekday and now I'm obsessed. Get the croffle. Any of them. Chewy goodness and your choice of savory or sweet. I had one of each and maybe that's the way but really, you can't go wrong with any of the dishes. The chicken croffle was a sizable portion and the fried chicken is *chef's kiss* I was pleasantly surprised the drinks weren't overly sweet. The small bits of yuzu were a nice touch in the lemonade. The interior has a lively buzz that didn't interfere with conversation. Wheelchair friendly, for our friends who need that info. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu! read more

This brunch spot is pretty good! Between 3 people we shared the Tom Yum Scramble, Openface Burger, and Nutella Bomb Pancake. Tom Yum Scramble - I thought this dish was just ok, it didn't stand out to me. The tom yum flavor was clearly there. The croissant was a bit soggy. Openface Burger - my fave dish we ordered, i definitely recommend! The beef patties were seasoned and cooked to perfection! Nutella Bomb Pancakes - surprisingly wasn't too sweet, I could eat a bunch of these pancakes! I love the nuts as a topping on those pancakes. I came here on a Sunday at 9am and there was no wait. This place is a must...and I mean a must The ambience is so nice and uplifting u feel the energy soon as u walk in....them flavors on that food OMG we're fantastic I had the Dungeness crab omelette with spinach and mozzarella,onions and I added mushrooms when I say that crab was fresh like they got it the same day like it just came out the ocean a hour ago...oh how can I forget the service it was top tier they were very attentive even with a packed house....I'm coming back asap and you should go asap! Really delicious brunch. We came on a Saturday and the wait isn't bad at all. There is no waitlist to put your name down and they wait to seat you until everyone is there. You can get seated in 15-20 minutes with the top of the hour being the busiest since that's when groups typically meet up. The decor is cute but tables are pretty tight together. We enjoyed everything we had -- the Tom Yum Scramble, Chicken Croffle and Nutella Bomb Pancakes. The service is really friendly so will definitely be back to try other dishes in the future. read more

Are there bottomless mimosas?
Is this a good place to study?
Not really. They're usually packed and can get quite loud with a full house. Really good food to fuel up for studying though!
Are they dog friendly?
I actually don't know if they're dog friendly but certainly service dogs are welcome. I'd call them. Lisa

I don't think they do based on my visit it was a first come first serve basis. However service and food arrived pretty swiftly so unless folks are staying to chitchat it shouldn't be an outrageous wait! Came on a Friday morning at 10am and was out…
