It's set up more like a bar, with a bar area and a few high-top tables, making it a very compact space. Our bartender, Terence, was absolutely amazing. He was attentive, pleasant, professional, and provided top-tier customer service throughout our visit. Between the three of us, we ordered a cheesesteak, a chicken cheesesteak, a salmon cheesesteak, and an order of fries with peppers and onions. The food was excellent--very flavorful, fresh, and honestly, we had no complaints about the quality of the meal. Unfortunately, our overall experience was overshadowed by a food safety concern and the way it was handled. There was a young woman working behind the bar with very long blonde braids hanging well past her waist. Her hair was completely uncovered and swinging freely while she worked. Given how small the restaurant is, we were concerned about the possibility of hair ending up in someone's food or drink. We politely mentioned our concern to our bartender and asked if she could cover or secure her hair. Terence handled the situation professionally and relayed our concern to another employee who appeared to be the manager. The response we heard was, "She's not around any food." That explanation didn't make sense to us. She was working behind the bar in a very small establishment, and the kitchen is only a few steps away. More importantly, proper hair restraint is a basic food safety practice in food service environments. Afterward, the employee went to the back and returned with her hair wrapped into a bun. Instead of simply addressing the concern professionally, she looked directly at our table, rolled her eyes, and gave us an attitude that made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. It was rude, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. We were simply expressing a legitimate concern about sanitation, not trying to be difficult. It's unfortunate because the food was very good and Terence provided outstanding service. However, the unprofessional response to a reasonable concern left such a negative impression that I will not be returning. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reinforces both food safety standards and professional customer service, because both are just as important as serving great food. The portion was so generous that I had to save half for later--and it was just as good the next day. I visited on a Saturday night, so the wait was pretty long. To their credit, they let us know upfront that there was only one server working that night. We weren't in a rush so the long wait didn't bother us. I did take away a star for having one server available though. The takeout line never seemed to end, which tells me this is a very popular spot. Our friends have been raving about this place for a few years now. We tried to visit twice but both times it was really crowded and parking was tough. Our timing this time around was perfect. We had family visiting from out of town and stopped in for lunch. It wasn't crowded, the bartender was friendly. Everything was neat and clean. The ambiance was laid back. Not too many tables, but they do also have a kiosk where you can order food to go if you don't plan on sitting inside. They do also offer outdoor seating. Larger tables were outside, but I'm not a fan of alfresco dining unless it's near something scenic. For a tiny spot, the food was well done. My only complaint was there was a bit TOO much cheese for me. (That's personal preference, however. As a first-timer, I wasn't sure how to order.) I believe most folks would be happy with how it comes. We were seated after a lil wait. The service was busy that particular night. Space is limited here, so large parties may wish to choose the 'to-go' service. There were TVs available to watch the games and a full drink option if you're into that. We started with the Taste Me Margarita and Hennything is Possible to drink and both were awesome! For food, we decided to get a beef cheesesteak and a jerk chicken cheesesteak and split half and half so we could taste both. My boyfriend gave the beef 9/10 and I gave the chicken 10/10.
