    General Tso from Taste Garden

We've ordered many times over the years from this Chinese restaurant . Tonight we ordered Won Ton soup which was delicious. Steamed pork dumplings were lovely too. My entree was shrimp lo mien and it was very good. So you ask, why the three stars? The picture below is the General Tso's chicken. The batter was so thick and chewy you could barely see or taste any chicken. It seems as if the chef cut up teeny tiny pieces of (hopefully) chicken and triple rolled them in a batter that was almost inedible . Very disappointed and would advise staying away from this dish.

We did take out from this place and they are one of the best chinese restaurants in Slower Lower! The general tso chicken had a great taste, still crispy.. the peppered chicken had a bunch of taste and flavors that kept you wanting more, and the the spare ribs were glazed and sweet with some tang to them. So delicious! Their eggrolls also have a great, crunchy and crispy flavor! I am giving a 4 stars just because it wasn't the absolute best chinese I've had. Other than that, I highly recommend them for take out!

This strip mall take out joint has what I would consider to be the best Chinese food and Sushi available in the area. Soooooo good that I delayed posting in a selfish attempt to keep too many others from finding out about this awesome local secret. Shhhhhhhhh!!! ;-)

Wowie!!!! Excellent!!! As someone who used to live in Chinatown in NYC now has parents that live in Delaware, I've always been skeptical of getting Chinese food outside of the metro area. That being said, Taste Garden came as a recommendation and it was delicious! Between the amount of food for the price, the quality of the food, and the speed of pick up are huge thumbs up from me! Pictured was the General Tso's shrimp with fried rice, which was yummy and had lots of brocolis. I also enjoy the hot and sour soup, shrimp toast, an egg roll and some pork lo mein. Nothing was over salty and they gave lots of sauces to amplify the dishes. Plenty of left overs and plenty of smiles all around. Will be ordering from here again as it received rave reviews from my family, who tends to be a bit picky when ordering out!

Singapore noodles and egg foo young are always delicious! Also try asking for steamed Chinese veggies as a side! No sauce and low-cal!

Excellent sushi. All their dishes are very good. You can't eat ambience so if that's more important than the food then go somewhere else.

A Chinese place that has good tasting sushi at a decent price. Great dumplings. If sushi doesn't fill you up much than get the hawaii roll.

We ordered a variety of sushi rolls to share for takeout: North Shore Roll ($15) - Eel, avocado, jalapeno, habanero, and masago, draped with seared yellowtail and salmon. This was my favorite. Sunset Beach Roll ($15) - Hamachi, spicy tobiko, tempura scallions, draped with salmon and avocado. I also enjoyed this. Dynamite Roll ($11) - Tuna and salmon with toasted spicy mayo, topped with tempura bits. I am not a fan of tempura bits. Spicy Salmon Roll ($11) - Salmon and avocado with spicy sriracha sauce. Hamachi Roll ($10) - Yellowtail and scallions. Although the rolls were a bit smaller than usual, the quality was very good and we really enjoyed sharing them. The total came to $62, and we definitely plan to come back again, whether for takeout or to dine in.

It has the look and feeling that you are in Japan and not in a cheap, tourist way. The location is really neat, clean, and sanitary. Additionally, they went the next step as we were seated in a table with chairs but the chairs all had soft, pillow cushions, providing extra comfort while dining. I love that you can see the kitchen while they cook as the aromas of the delicious ramen are being prepared. If you see the bathroom there, do not be alarmed to see that their toilet has a bidet set-up. They also have toilet paper if you have never used a bidet before. Now to the best part, the food! There are two dishes I highly recommend: Bulgogi Ramen and the chicken Katsu with the bulgogi rice bowl a good follow-up. The ramen is delicious with the meat being tender, flavorful and the sweet bulgogi taste seeps into the broth, adding extra flavor. The noodles taste fresh and hand-made as well! The kimchi provides a nice counterbalance to the sweetness of the meat and broth. The bulgogi rice bowl is good too for you do not want ramen for the day. However, the chicken katsu is delicious!!!! The chicken is so crispy that you can hear the crunch sound as you bite into it. It is cooked to perfect, thin, and uniform throughout. The rice is piping hot, cooked to perfection, and a lot is provided. The cabbage provided is a nice, refreshing counterbalance to the richness of the katsu and rice. Lastly, get a boba tea drink. The flavors are delicious like the lychee and the boba is not chewy that you will have to bite and bite. One bite and it dissolves in your mouth and is in your stomach. Lastly, the service. Gabriel was phenomenal! He was attentive, gave great recommendations, and made my family and I feel welcomed like we were eating at his house. He was funny, interactive, and accommodating. Overall, great server. Kevin (the host ) was phenomenal as well. He was so humble to come by and serve us our food. He never left us unattended. Last but not least, John (the owner) is hands down one of the best owners of a restaurant I have seen. He is kind, funny, compassionate, and took his time to interact with and talk to all the patrons. He made you feel like family, asking my family and I our names and making great small talk. He was open to talking about himself and his inspiration about his restaurant even when the place was about to close. Owners who stay late near closing time on a Sunday evening, not many do that. Living in Virginia, I will miss this place. Their food is one of the best that I have had and I will be counting down the days I can come back to Rohoboth Beach to bathe in their ramen and chomp into the katsu once again!

We were captivated by the magnitude of terrific reviews Miyagi got, so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant was unassuming, located in a small plaza next-door to the Safeway grocery store. When we walk through the door, we were immediately greeted into an authentically Asian atmosphere. The restaurant was long and narrow with the kitchen visible to guests. We were seated at a cozy booth. We started with an order of the purple, sweet potato fries, and they were delicious--hot and fresh, tempura style. Each of us ordered a different Ramen bowl. The portions were healthy. The bowls were like a picture in a magazine, so colorful and varied. Unable to finish our entire bowls, we asked for takeout containers. When the server returned, he clearly directed us to separate the noodles and the broth. His attention and concern was impressive. Miyagi is a must in Rehoboth Beach. Once you're tired of eating crabs, stop by for a remarkable bowl of soup!
