Their drinks are always good, with especially their teas. I get my drinks half sweet sometimes and it doesn't change up the taste too much, which is great! I love the Horchata milk tea! I've gotten it several times and I will continue to get it until I ruin it for myself. I didn't think any milk tea spot could take the horchata concept and improve on it but here it is. Anyways, this location is also great. I came during the lunch hour and was in and out in no time. I went last night about an hour before closing, because it was one of the only places nearby and I have been wanting to try it. To begin with, service lacked. The girl who took my order was kinda rude and making me feel rushed, mind you there was no line. Even worse, I noticed she was the shift lead. Her other employees were nicer.. I specifically asked her for a taro blended boba and they gave me an iced one. I didn't feel like interacting with her, so I kept it. The drink was not good. All i could taste was milk with a dash of taro. My friend also tried the thai milk tea iced and also noticed that her drink tasted like milk more than anything. We ended up tossing the drinks. Omgosh! What a gem! We've tried other Tasteas before and hands down, this is the best one yet. I'm not sure if it's because the fruits were in season, or if it was my drink maker, but either way, this was the most fresh and flavorful Peach Me Sweet Tea I've ever had from Tastea. Cashier (also my drink maker) made our drink just perfect! She was kind and fast in service. It looked like she was manning the lines herself, so thank you! This review isn't about the drink itself, but rather the service I experienced. The staff were friendly, but I couldn't help but notice an awkward situation. A pair of boys--who appeared to be twins came in after me, and despite there being a party ahead of me in line, they were immediately greeted by their barista friend. Not only did they get served before everyone else, but their drinks were presumably made free of charge as I didn't see them check-out at the cash register. It felt like they cut in line and received preferential treatment, which left me feeling uncomfortable and overlooked. I understand that personal connections can influence service, but it was an unfortunate experience that felt a bit disrespectful. Maybe this is just the way things go these days, but it definitely stood out. I just had such a bad experience at the Tastea Irvine location. I stopped by around 9:30 PM to grab a boba tea for my long drive home. I told the cashier I wanted a 32oz Sunset Peach with two extra toppings. The barista making the drink heard me and started right away, which was great! But when I went to the pick-up window, another barista handed me a smaller-sized drink. I asked if it was the 32oz I ordered, and she said I had to pay extra to upsize. I totally get that, but I did order the 32oz from the start. She just repeated that I needed to pay the upsize charge. Also, I got charged for the smaller size, even though I clearly ordered a large. What made it worse was that before handing me the drink, I could see her checking the screen and realizing the mistake, since the first barista had already made the 32oz size. And pour the remaining to a small cup as snack. I get that mistakes happen, even from my part for not double check what I order, but it was handled really bad. A simple "Sorry about that" would've gone a long way. read more

As far as tea options, the menu is limited to typical black and green tea, so this was a disappointment for me personally. My choice of jasmine green milk tea was rather bitter unfortunately. Moving on. My husband ordered Yummy Gummy, which is a combination of three fruit flavors with peach bits at the bottom. This was the saving grace for our visit here as it was reportedly refreshing. I like the Covid safe layout inside the shop. There's a clear lane to enter through to the cashier at the back for ordering, and a clear exit lane to leave and wait for your drinks. There is a sign that tells you to wait outside until your name is displayed on the large television screen, at which point you reenter and pick up your order at the pick up counter near the front of the store. They have really refreshing fruit teas! It has fresh fruit bits along with the fruit tea base. I ordered the Lychee Peachee with Black Tea and Full Sweetness, no toppings. The tea had a strong peach flavor along with lychee bits. They put lots of lychee bits in, where I didn't need to put an additional topping in. Full sweetness was a tad too sweet for me, and I might op for medium sweet next time! I also recommend their Peach Me Sweetea Tastea's menu is extensive, and they have lots of fruit teas/milk teas/smoothies. They even also have stevia, an alternative healthier sweetener. Tried their Pumpkin Pie Brûlée drink and loved the brûlée (flan) part of the drink! The pumpkin pie milk tea was tasty and it was topped with some sea foam and nutmeg sprinkled on top of the ice. A little too sweet for my taste, but next time I'll adjust it. read more
