    Scotch eggs

I ordered to go, and it was amazing! Scotch eggs, yum yum! And the pickle plate, yum yum yum! When ordering delivery, I always try to go for something not hot, that way I'm not diss appointed when it arrives cold. Uber, make your people use hot bags! Anyway this was so good! "Pickles" so good and obviously house made. Love the variety of cucumbers, cauliflower, red onions, and jalepenos. Bravo! I love scotch eggs, and these were deliscious.

We came by the other night for our first time to order some takeout! Located in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking out front. This spot specializes in takeout, it is not a dine-in restaurant. They have an interesting menu with a lot of variety, so there's something for everyone. I ordered the spicy chicken ramen (no pickled carrots) and my husband got the loaded mac n cheese. It took about 20 mins for our food to be ready. My husband loved his bowl! The cheese was creamy and it came with big chunks of crispy chicken bites and bacon. Serving size was a little on the smaller side but quality was great. My ramen was also really good! There were several pieces of chicken and lots of noodles to make this pretty filling. It tasted a little spicy at first but it tastes more spicy the longer you eat it. As I neared the end, I almost couldn't finish it because of the spice level. This was without adding any of the extra spicy sauces that came on the side. I typically like spicy foods but this might've been a tad too spicy, even for me--one level down would've been perfect. I didn't see an option for adjusting the spice level on the menu but that might be good to consider. This place has some solid food options and is affordable, so I'm sure we will be back to try more!

Stopped in while looking to pass time at a business a few doors down. The gentleman at the counter was friendly. The minibus vast and although a take-out eatery,, patrons, were outside waiting for food. Scotch-eggs are on the card, a dish I'm drawn to since first experience so let's go! 18 minutes to prepare, enough to help pass the time. Did not disappoint! The eggs was cooked to perfection, moist, tender and the sausage and sauce brought the flavor. I'm traditionally not a sauce person but this honey mustard was a nice compliment

Unfortunately, the flavors were quite different from what I expected. The food wasn't bad, but it tasted different from what I'm used to. The popcorn chicken was more on the sweet side rather than savory. The fried rice was okay but not very flavorful. The zha jiang mian was also sweeter than expected. Usually the ones I've had in Asia are very savory. I've even had zha jiang mian in Alameda, California, and that version was savory, not sweet at all. At one point my husband even wondered if they might have accidentally used sugar instead of salt. The mapo tofu was also a bit too sweet. The best one was the beef noodle soup. That was 7/10 it was my favorite out of all. In general, we didn't enjoy the food very much. The service was okay. I understand they were very busy, so it's understandable. The restaurant itself is clean but extremely packed and busy.

The portions were generous with plenty of leftovers to pack up in takeout boxes for enjoying for another day. My favorite three were the ahi tuna, the black cod and the brilliant asian/french mash up of red Bean Creme Brulee. I also need to mention, I loved the lamb tenderloin. I am not a big lamb fan, but this New Zealand lamb was tender and non-gamey. The owners did an outstanding job of timing the dishes and engaging with our group while also taking care of other diners including non event patrons getting getting take-out and inhouse menu dining. The space is very small, but even with and almost full house, it didn't feel cramped. Even though Kwok's is right across the street from where I live, this restaurant would be at the top of my list of "I would drive out of my way to eat here"

To start, you can't go wrong with the enthusiastic welcome we always receive. Then quickly seated and wine poured. The 2026 CNY menu was fabulous, with some great surprises. The ahi tartare portion anywhere else would have been a shareable appetizer. But each person was served a large portion of delicious fresh ahi. Mmmm this course and a glass of wine could be dinner alone any other evening. The soft creamy rich egg custard was hidden under a thick seafood gravy. I really enjoyed this unique dish. The miso black cod is always flaky and delicious. And the crab fried rice it's nestled on also never disappoints. The rich New Zealand stir fried lamb and shiitake mushrooms over pea shoots was a fabulous hearty dish on this chilly March evening. The braised short ribs were so tender no knife was needed, they flaked apart with the fork. And the e mein noodles were perfectly al dente. The dinner wrapped up with a crème brûlée that only Kwok's could pull off - red bean. Creamy smooth. Not overwhelming. The perfect burnt sugar layer on top. The regular menu is just as delicious. Small inside seating area, so recommend always make a reservation. In the summer there's a fabulous patio area out front. Limited street parking.

I then had to fight to flag a waitress to ask for chili paste to get any heat in my entire dish. The wood ear in it was excellent, but I've never seen it in pad thai. The thai ice tea was good, maybe a bit heavy on sweetener. I don't understand the high ratings here, based pireh on food. Thai Chili has far better flavors, and is rated lower. The wait staff/food runners lacked politeness, and never checked if we enjoyed our food or needed anyone. Sans the person filling everyone's water, we were never checked on in any other capacity. The restaurant was a cacophony of noise and conversation, I had to lean across the booth to have any chance of hearing my companion. The noise level is overwhelming if you have sensory issues at all. The decor is pretty cool.
