I don't care much for doughnuts, but the sandwich-bagels and especially the cambodian sandwiches are fantastic here! One big problem though, it takes an eternity to make a sandwich and they can't handle more than 1 person at the time ordering one. Things are better when the lady is working. Ah. It can't be denied. We all know donuts should be avoided at all costs, yet we all still manage to crave for one every now and then. Since I live close by I used to come here on Sunday mornings and it was always a nice way to start the day. I've only seen to people work here. I believe they are either husband and wife or related somehow. Both are nice and polite. Whether you order a few donuts or a dozen the woman that works the counter always throws in donuts holes. I came in once and bought just 2 donuts and she threw in about 6 donut holes. I haven't been to a donut shop that does not and if there is let me know! The donuts are taste fresh and the ones with frosting have a softness to them. I've also tried their breakfast croissant that had egg and sausage. I assumed that since it had egg that they would cook it over a stove, but instead they take a premixed egg mixture that they cook in the microwave. Obviously it tasted as good as I had wanted, but it wasn't bad. Would I try it again? Most likely not. Bottom line - there are a hundreds of independent donut shops in the Bay Area and this one should be checked out once if you're in the area and want donuts. The location is convenient to get to since it's off the 280 freeway and the donuts are above average. Plus, you can't go wrong with the extra free donut holes. read more

I don't know why their Yelp page says they have bathrooms because they most certainly do not. I chose this donut place because Yelp said it had a bathroom and I was stuck in traffic and had to go really bad. The lady at the counter sent me across to Burger King... This place has a delicious fried rice plate enough to share with more than a couple people. My nephew ordered their hot chocolate, he told the owners it was better than Starbucks! Lol! When we opened our bag to eat we found donuts! We were so happy & very thankful of this since we didn't order the extra donuts. This is by far my favorite donut shop in town. It is own and operated super sweet older couple. They make the most beautiful fluffy donuts I've ever seen. I usually come here weekly to grab some sugar donuts for by nephew. Also their croissants are also really tasty too. read more

It's a great lil mom n' pop donut shop. You'll always receive extras with whatever it is that you buy. The first time I was there, I was pleasantly surprised to find a half dozen donut holes and a whole donut in my bag along with the ham and egg croissant I'd just bought. The attendant's super friendly, and very willing to help you with your order. The prices are also very reasonable for most, and downright cheap with other items. The pastries are all very good. That said, as some reviewers have mentioned, it is true that their selection is somewhat lacking depending on the type of day that they've had. So if you go later in the day, expect that most or all of the popular pastries will probably be gone. When I walked in, I was greeted by an older gentleman. He was helping another guest before me. I didn't mind waiting. He was friendly, patient and attentive. I enjoyed eating the mini donut holes. The donut holes were soft and not overly sweet. I didn't expect him to throw in extra donut holes for me, but he did. I believe because he felt bad for having me wait. Went here recently when I had a "donut attack" at work. It is very close to my office, so I thought I'd try it out. My expectations were low - well, really I had no expectations. I got a raised glazed and a raised chocolate - those are the classics that I can rate a donut shop by. Now, mind you, by measuring stick is Stan's, so the stakes are high. I was pleasantly surprized. I got 4 donuts total (2 for a co-worker) for $3.20. They were tall, soft and fluffy. The glaze was good and not too much of it - same for the chocolate. Stopped in for a dessert after going to Tofu House. My husband got the cinnamon sugar cake donut and I got the maple syrup glazed donut. Both were better than I thought they'd be! These donuts are way better than Donut Wheel. We also got 3 complimentary donut holes (which my husband at first was so sure we got charged for but I double checked the change: the donut holes were free! :). )We ate these in the car in the parking lot and immediately went back in for 2 more donuts. This is a great family owned business. I take my little boys here after church sometimes. Their donuts are light and fluffly, not heavy, not greasy. They taste very fresh, no matter what time of day (we have visited a few times during the afternoon). They always throw in a few extra donut holes for the boys. Let me start by saying, I am not the biggest fan of donuts generally. I don't typically like them because the greasiness upsets my stomach. My husband and my brother both decided last night that we were going to meet for breakfast this morning, and of course, they wanted donuts. So, my bro suggested a place called Tasty Donuts, off of Saratoga and Stevens Creek. We found the place pretty easily, and I have to admit that when I bit into my donut, I was happily surprised. It was fluffy, not a bit greasy, and the glaze they use is very delicious. I also sampled a croissant, which was also flaky and delicious. They had breakfast croissants that looked wonderful as well. Reading the other reviews I must have caught them on extremely bad day. I came here because the reviews were great. So I ordered an eclair. The person behind the counter grabbed a chocolate covered bar type donut, cut it open, pulled out a margarine tub that was filled with custard, slapped some custard on the open faced donut, closed it and handed it to me. The donut was cold and hard the custard got everywhere.... I will give this place another try because the reviews still come in saying this place is good....
