Baby it's getting cold outside. My friend was craving hotpot and this is her go to place. This is kind of different compared to other hot pot places I've been to. The pots are set, it's not an all you can eat situation. I wanted a pot that was bigger than I wanted and I opted to get something else. It's a good amount of food with a wide variety of stuff. They do offer rice, ramen, or noodles to accompany your pot. If one of those is listed in your pot's description than it comes with it. My friend didn't realize and she ordered ramen and her pot already had ramen in it. I love the ipad style ordering, you get to pick and choose and customize what's in your pot so it's nice that you get to pick and choose yourself. You get to pick your spice level. I ordered the kimchi dumpling hot soup and assumed it would have been spicy from the kimchi so I chose a less spicy option and my soup was fairly bland. That was on me, since I assumed it would have had a kick from the kimchi. Quality of the things in the hot pot was a little lacking. It had a little bit of a refrigerator/freezer taste to it. Menu was easy to read; Hot Soup on the front (#12 different flavors) and appetizers/drinks on the back. We ordered #2 Lamb $14.99, #11 Sichuan (large) $19.99, and #12 Seafood Lobster (large) $19.99 - we picked rice to go with our hot soup. The pot comes roaring hot and will continue to cook until you are ready to turn it off by switching the handle. The hot pot was pretty tasty; a lot of different ingredients mixed in the soup- almost seems like little treasures, cause you never know what you will find. It was definitely different than other hot pot places around town as it comes "pre-cooked/pre-mixed" in the hot. For drinks, we ordered Tiger Pearl Milk tea with boba $4.95 (we went in an hour before closing, they were already out of regular boba, so it was substituted with crystal boba). You order from an iPad at the table which we thought was very neat, until they messed up our order somehow... brought out an extra bowl of hot pot that we did not order.. this was then added to our bill at the end. We caught that ourselves on the bill, they didn't take it out when we told them we didn't order it. Was very disappointed in the food. It might have been an off day. I got the Japanese miso with vermicelli noodles. It was verrryyyyy bland, the side toppings add-ins were good, but the pork it came with was very dry- did not finish. My friend and I decided to try something new. We thought a chilly day like today was perfect for hotspots! Before we headed to the restaurant, I called and put our name on the list since it's during lunch hours. By the time we got there, we were seated right away! I ordered no.2 Lamb hot soup and my friend got no.8 Thai flavor hot soup. Both were really good. We both enjoyed the flavorful broth and plentiful toppings. Her hot pot was larger than mine, and she had to take 1/2 home with her. She was craving sweet and sour, spicy broth and plenty of seafood, and she was definitely satisfied. My belly is full and I can't fit anymore!! The portions here are large and diverse, with everything from half a crab and fried inari, to kimchi, intestines and udon. The options for add ons are immense so you can create a custom pot. You also get a choice of rice or vermicelli as a side. The tea is also quite good. I came here with my parents and wanted to see how this compares to Boiling Point. The menu is pretty similar and prices are decent depending on what you want. I got the beef hot soup (with no seafood). I feel like if you don't get the seafood added, the amount of regular meat is still the same and not more. We also got the Thai flavor hot soup and the Japanese miso soup. These came with a decent variety of seafood. They also let you adjust the spice level for each dish. Great service and great food! Lunch starting at 15.50 and dinner starting at 16.50 for a filling meal! Seated right away and given menu and tablet to order, it seems like you can possibly use a QR on the table too (not sure though). The menu lists what each pot comes with and add ons offered. Variety of drinks too. It can be fun to share with the variety of flavors. I got the #1 beef and my friend got the sichuan spicy. I liked the fact that we got either rice or noodles for free and also had multiple check ins of more hot broth or water throughout our meal. You can lower the heat and turn off the burner as each pot comes with a metal control tab that sticks out from the holder. I will say the sweet potato glass noodle which was an add on for 4.50 is not worth it as the portion was just a fist worth. My water cup which I didn't notice was dirty, the server caught it and without hesitation brought a new one. Overall, a great meal. Each table is preset with the basics of napkins, chopsticks/spoon, extra sauces too. I would come right when they open for lunch or dinner as it can crowded fast. "I haven't been to a place in a while where I've been like 'I'll totally be coming again soon' " is what my friend said within a few spoonfuls of soup. I'm usually skeptical when something is super hyped up, but I must say I was impressed by both the soup as well as the boba. The boba was not too sweet, tapioca balls were cooked well. I got the rose milk green tea. My friend got the rose milk matcha latte and that one was a bit sweeter, both very good depending on what level of sweetness you like. Broth was flavorful and filled with a lot of different toppings. I personally liked that it's preselected, just makes it easier- although there's an option for additional toppings as well at an added cost. There are different options ranging from a Korean style kimchi soup to Taiwanese style to others, and there's sure to be a choice for everyone whether you want it to be more meat focused or more seafood. I recommend the strongly fragrant Thai hotpot! If you love lemongrass, seafood and cabbage, this one is for you. The bowls of rice were big and only $1.95. There were many sides to add either to the pot or as a side like potstickers or udon noodles. I think for $55 for 2 entrees and 2 sides and 5 bowls of rice and 2 sodas, it was a very satisfying dinner. We left with some to take home too. I'm going back again. There was a good amount of tofu, tofu skin, fish cakes, lamb, napa, mushroom, etc. I mixed a side of the bean paste, chili oil, and soy garlic, and it paired perfectly with the contents of the pot. The taro milk tea was also pretty good. I've heard their service is pretty good on most days, but today was a little lacking. The server brought the wrong tea (a plum juice instead of a taro milk tea with boba). They also forgot to bring the rice and vermicelli to our table, and it took us a while to try to flag them down. This place is such a treat! We came on a Monday night and was seated right away. They gave us an iPad to order off of. We had the beef hot soup, the Taiwanese supreme spicy hot soup - both medium heat, chrysanthemum tea, and dumplings. We immediately received our dry noodle order (vermicelli and instant noodles). The dumplings were next to come and they were delicious. We mixed our own dipping sauces (bottles at the table) and they went smashingly with the dumplings. We then received the rest of our order and omg it was like a treasure trove. There's a flame inside the bowl holder to keep the broth from cooling off and lemme tell ya, it works very well. Both of our soups were phenomenal. It was stuffed to the brim and every time we dug in, we found more goodies in our soups. It's not only delicious, but it's a fun experience. Drinks were good. They automatically give you plastic straws. Curry choice wasn't very potent and came out in a smaller pot than the other choices. It did come out loaded and hot. Expect a ton of cabbage.. If you're not a fan this place isn't for you. Tom yum was flavorful and sour. But mild spicy wasn't even the slightest spicy as I was told. We came. We tried. Unfortunately, despite all the star reviews, I was a little bit disappointed by this hot pot. At first, the concept for us was very interesting, with getting individual hotpots without having to cook anything. However, after little attendance by the waitresses (including us having to go find a waitress at one point), we finally got our hotpots after 20-30 minutes. It comes with a personal burner with a slider that you can adjust the heat with. Additionally, our table was missing utensils and dipping sauces on the side. Granted, we did come on Labor Day during dinner, so I just figured they were busy. I ordered the Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup and my friend ordered the Lamb Hot Pot. To me and my friends' surprise, most of our soup was filled with cabbage. The lamb was not the best, and we weren't amazed by the contents of the meat. The clams in both soups (the Taiwanese Supreme had significantly more clamshells) had very small amounts of meat. Broth wise, Lamb Hot Pot definitely won tonight, with a very flavorful broth. The Taiwanese Supreme was barely reminiscent of mala flavor, but overall just didn't taste much but spicy. The boba was fairly decent though, and I did thoroughly enjoy it at a fair price. But again, not much to write about. Overall, the hotpot was nice, but I'm not sure if I would necessarily go again. This is a great place if you're not feeling like cooking or just need a place to take your parents, but it wasn't that impressive. I really like this individual hotpot place! Every pot has a lot of "stuff" unlike other hotpot places I've been too in Seattle where it was mostly soup. The regular size options should fill you up or leave you with some leftovers. I do recommend getting higher spice levels for a more flavorful soup. My friend selected the very mild option and I felt the flavor was lacking. Curry is definitely my favorite here! The Beef and Seafood are both solid choices still. It was also my friend's birthday and one of the workers offered him boba on the house. The service was so friendly.
