I rarely come here to eat but I came today because my wife wanted to eat here. There was 5 of us and they had us seated at a small table. My daughter was seated in the aisle way. I ask both servers if we can get the table in the corner which was bigger and they both said no. It's for parties 6 or 7. 15 minutes later they seated 4 people at the table I requested. I though it was for parties 6 or 7. Bad customer service I could live my life never going back. Don't let it go over your heads... it's just soup in a fancy bowl. Dine-in and Take-out were fantastic. I've had great experiences here and the staff are very nice! When i got home (which is about 30 mins away from here), my soup was still hot and had the same taste as if you were to eat in the restaurant. Great portions as well! ***Violation of ADA Rights: Refused Service*** I've been scared of sharing this review because I don't want to cause conflict for a business and I try to assume the best. That said, as I know it can affect other ppl in my situation and having been persuaded by loved ones, I'm leaving a review. I tried to go to this restaurant on 3/23/2021 and was refused service because of my service dog. Even after explaining that he was not a pet but was a medical necessity and was a real service dog, they said he could not stay. The only way they'd let me eat there was if he sat alone outside where he could not alert me or assist me. Again, I tried to explain he was allowed in public places AND we had been before when they also tried to refuse my service dog entrance but complied reluctantly. However, my service dog and I (and a friend) were walked to the exit. It was genuinely devastating not just for me but knowing I've seen other service dog handlers in this building complex. Therefore I do not recommend this place if you believe in ADA compliance and accessibility issues. read more

This place has great food along with awesome services. The staffs were attentive, I accidentally dropped my chopsticks and they handed me a new pair in seconds. Staffs always checked up on us and always top up more broth if we'd like to. Food is awesome, even more special for family reunion or friends gathering. Totally satisfied with Tasty Pot. I've been to a similar store in Seattle and always wished that we( Arizona) could have this kind of restaurant. So when I heard that Tasty Pot opened in the valley, I immediately took my husband there. I definitely love the lively environment. Worst customer service. Chase customers away because they are not allowed to bring in outside drinks .. Is it reasonable?

I picked up the #2 lamb hot soup medium spicy. It was perfect. I chose the noodle option on top of the glass noodles already in the soup. The meat and additional noodles were packed separately. The additional noodles came with a little bit of broth so it doesn't stick and harden - I appreciated that so much. There was also additional broth, which would normally be available when you dine in but I got to take home a little extra. I don't eat much so I split it into two and will be eating the second serving with rice tomorrow. Only thing was that they are open for dine in during covid and they were pretty busy. read more

We came here with a large group of friends. It's a fun idea, but the food is mediocre. The soup tasted generic, and it seems like they used the same soup base for all of the dishes...which is reasonable since they offered a lot of different soup, but the seasoning for each one is lacking. The pot is also very shallow, so it's difficult to cook your vermicelli and instant noodle in there. They do provide a decent amount of topping, so you do get full. read more

I am glad AZ is expanding restaurants that are similar to Socal. It's pretty good, similar to Boiling Point in CA, which I enjoy. I am coming back more often than when they opened because they used to have poor services from the previous servers. I gave it a four stars because they keep changing the add on in drinks, which upsets me. For instance, I would order the Half & Half MT and it usually comes with pudding. Some days I order and it comes without Pudding and 1 server would tell me it does not come with pudding and the other would tell me the opposite. Next time I order it and it comes with PUDDING & LYCHEE! Why?? The menu does not say it comes with Lychee, why the sudden add on to change the taste? I told the server that and she said it has always come with pudding and LYCHEE! This place surely lacks communications and need to focus on it. Other than that, they give you good service. read more

Flavor: The Kimchi Pot was pretty good, lots of flavor. But the Taiwanese Supreme Spicy (at medium spice) was a 2 out of 5. There broth had no flavor - flavor as in no base like beef or chicken stock. Almost tasted like it was just water boiling and threw in a big spoon of Taiwanese spice. I ended up dumping a ton of the garlic soy and soybean in my pot to add flavor, but even that didn't help much. also asked to sub out meat and seafood for extra veggies/tofu - instead of subbing in for an array of the veggies they tossed in a ton of extra Napa and the regular tofu. At least throw in more of the good stuff! I am hoping that this is a one off (for the Taiwanese supreme spice specifically) since the Kimchi was pretty darn good. You get a choice of either rice or vermicelli or can get instant noodle for an up charge. We both got vermicelli and it is a very small serving of vermicelli. It makes sense because the pot is so heavy with fixings, but if you love noodles I would order more. Ambiance/Service: The wait was pretty long - but understandable since it's still new. The service was lacking with some associates - a lot of opportunity to improve. Tables are pretty tight together but it's still a nice layout. After having our food dropped I asked to get a side of rice - never came out. Oh well, after mixing and adding extra sauces and powering through the overly spicy pot, I was full. Price: $30.19 for the two pots. Is the food worth it? Depends on what you are looking for in hot pot. I would rather go to my favorite local hot pot up the street for a more traditional hot pot style where I can control the crunch to my veggies and the temp to my meats. I like hot pot.. But when you almost always dine out alone, having a hot pot meal can be a bit unrealistic.. After all, a good hot pot should have varieties of stuffs in it and all hot pot restaurants either have buffet style or a la carte with big portions on each item.. That makes it tricky for a Lone Ranger like myself to enjoy a good hot pot meal.. We do have places around the valley selling small hot pots directed at ppl like me.. But most of them fall short when it comes to taste and varieties of flavors offered.. Finally though, I have found my go-to hot pot heaven! They have good size portion of hot pot in various flavors! Their hot pot includes respectable varieties of items too! And did I mention taste! Staffs also are friendly and service is fast. Only flaw I see is seating being a bit cramped. And maybe they should set up a sauce station where you can mix your own dipping sauce. Otherwise, I will be going there again and again to try their different flavors! read more
