My soups with ramen noodles and veggies
    Aimee M.

I was really excited to see this place after I saw someone share a video online about them. I went with my mom and it looked like there was only one server and he did a really good job informing us about how to order the food. I order the Thai soup base and my mom got Miso. My mom seemed pretty happy with the food. We got the silver option with less meat. I liked the bar with the large selection of veggies like oyster mushrooms, bok choy, broccoli corn etc. they were out of lobster balls, but had octopi and other fish/beef balls. I also liked the sauce area. I loved the sesame option and ponzu, my mom got garlic and soy sauce.

We couldn't figure out what to eat on this lovely Saturday evening and we were craving hot pot similar to Orange County and of course where do we turn to? YELP!! We are pretty impressed with the service, quality of the food and the cleanliness. We were seated right away (last call to be seated is by 9pm and last call to order food is 930 via iPad) I tried the Taiwanese base and I enjoyed it! There's so much to choose from. We did the AYCE for dinner and chose the Silver option. The servers were also so nice and tentative. Alex helped us out tonight. Lots of parking as well in the plaza. We are definitely coming back, the food was delish and fresh!

HOLY TASTY POT IS AYCE! The menu is very worth it in my opinion They have a walk up bar where you can get you fish balls, seafood, and vegetables! The takoyaki here is S tier! Love how crispy and gooey the center way! Meat was so tasty! The lamb with the seasoning was game changer Can't tell you how many plates of meat we ordered but staff was very friendly! Totally will be back understand why the place was packed

Was underwhelmed by my visit here, though perhaps I ordered the wrong pot. Came here for Father's Day lunch since they were offering $0.99 appetizers all weekend. When my party of 3 arrived around 11:30 am, it was pretty empty with one other party seated. For apps, we got the popcorn chicken and calamari. Both were fantastic, perhaps a tiny bit salty but overall the flavor was good. I shared the seafood lobster pot ($24.95) with my dad and we were both underwhelmed. There wasn't much seafood in the pot, instead it was full of veggies like napa cabbage and mushrooms. Other than the lobster tail, all the other seafood came in two's, like two small shrimp, two fishballs, two thin slices of fish, etc. They say this is a large size pot meant for sharing, but there's no way this can feed two people. Thank goodness we ordered appetizers to supplement, otherwise I would have left hungry. My friend ordered the veggie pot with tomato soup for $19.95 and really enjoyed his pot.

They changed to ayce. I went with gold menu. It came with better selection of items and meat quality was acceptable. They were just switched to all you can eat so, servers are still figuring out their menu but good to see that they are trying their best. Inside was clean and overall the food was decent. I can see myself coming back again.

This place is nothing short of flavor! Alex is the man and took care of our every need. I will definitely come back to try more broth flavors. The ambience was chill and not overwhelming. This place is a must try in the Valley

This place recently switched to an all you can eat format and it's a great move. They have the option to go for, either the silver and gold selections. They have multiple broth selections and even an option to go water based instead of pork. Way better value than the previous a la cart menu. Will definitely come back.

Came in on a wed. for dinner. Not too busy and was seated right away. Hot pot comes in an individual bowl and is most porked based with a water based at request. Variety with the veggies and fish cakes can use some work, but all of the necessary ones are there. Meat options are limited on silver with better cuts on the gold tier. Variety of appetizers are also decent with Mala skewers, fries, calamari, dumplings, takoyaki, and rice bowls. Sauce station is lacking sesame oil but does have sesame sauce. Amanda and Angelina were friendly and checked on our table frequently. Overall, friendly staff and decent food for Northridge.

Mark was awesome great customer service! I really liked the popcorn chicken and the sweet potato fries! It was a nice add on for the options to add dumplings to the. The only thing is I wish they had oyster sauce, but everything else was good. Thank you Mark Quiet ambiance it might have been really hot that day but I wish I could feel the air more lol the Thai tea was really good too!

We were craving hot pot but didn't wanna spend an arm and a leg at an ayce shabu. Thank god for northridge and tasty pot! The decor inside is super cute and very on theme. Great selection of sauces (my bf loved the satay and the soy garlic hit home for me), really great attentive service even tho u could tell the server was the only one working the floor. We shared the tomato hotpot and calamari. They were both sooo good. Love the spicy salt on the calamari. Maybe bc we have smaller appetites but we found the serving size perfect. Our server even brought extra broth for us to take to go:) such a great experience will def be back!

    Meat too tough
    Michelle A.

Meat too tough!!! Inedible! And we ordered their premium selection. Not enough selection for add ons. The meat is not only tough.. it was also too fatty. And you would think it will be tender with the fat but no.... And when they saw that we didn't eat the meat, they wanted to charge us an extra 10% for the left over!!! Never again. We drove 2 hours for hot pot and would never go back!!!!

Tasty Pot at Northridge in the San Fernando Valley is a great spot for hot pots. We've eaten at Tasty Pot twice and both visits the staff provided excellent customer service. They are consistent with providing great care and excellent customer service to their diners. They are also one of the few restaurants that label their menu with ingredients and allergy information. We love to frequent restaurants that provide both excellent customer service and cater to families with food allergies. We ordered the Cheesy Milk Hot Soup, Curry, Hot Soup, Beef Hot Soup, Tomato Hot Soup and Fried Calamari. Delicious, plentiful and flavorful hot pots with lots of beef, shrimp, scallops, crabs and vegetables along with muscles. Tasty Pot did not disappoint. Their Fried Calamari is also good, crispy and crunchy. We also appreciated the fact that their base soups vary and you have the option to choose none peanut and non sesame broth soups especially if you're a family with food allergies. We can't wait to come back and try other items on Tasty Pot's menu. In the meantime, we will continue to tell our family and friends about Tasty Pot especially our family and friends with food allergies.

Super tasty broth options!!! Menu shows the pricing on the top right of the sheets and they also vary depending on lunch period or dinner period. Lunch pricing is until 4PM I believe. I like that the menu also easily shows if there's nuts included in the dish!!! Usually pretty slow when we come in, so the server is very attentive and is easy to grab the attention of. Perfect for when it's cold outside and I think it's a good spot to go to. Parking lot has plenty of free parking usually but there's a lot of businesses in the area. I only wish the shrimp and the crabs is de-shelled already so it would be easier to eat. Plenty of ingredients are put in the soup and gives a good hearty meal.

Hi there! We don't take reservations, but you're welcome to call ahead to check availability before coming in.

Is this All You Can eat meat choices? Are the sides free refillable? Or do they charge extra for more? Thank you! I'm used to Momo Paradise where everything is on the bar area. Even though it is Shabu Shabu. Thank you again.

Is it possible to order a hotpot without the rice/noodles addon? I love hotpot but trying to do low…

You don't see that at many places, and I love a good orange soda. The portions were generous, everything was fresh, and the flavors delivered. Service was great, too. The person at the front was super attentive, and I liked the mobile ordering station near the register. For anyone searching this spot on Yelp, just a heads-up that it's located inside the Northridge Mall. It's definitely worth checking out if you're craving some good noodles and dumplings. I'll for sure be back.

Server guy was chill. The food is served in a paper bowl, unlike the nice bowls you see in their pics. Tl;dr: if you're curious, don't waste your time, bafang is open 5min away Preface: I KNOW it's mall food, but for a restaurant that continuously pops up as #1 on Yelp whenever I search for food around the northridge/chatsworth area, I'm going to treat it as if it were a #1 spot. Beef noodle soup: to be very blunt, this was quite flavorless. The beef was dry as bones and looked like it was sliced with a mandoline. The noodles seemed undercooked and it felt like I was eating al dente spaghetti noodles. I got a medium spice level which didn't even seem that spicy, just a lot of cough inducing chili oil with no burn. Pan fried dumplings were ok. It honestly tasted like it was deep fried and not pan fried. Unsweetened black tea: hands down the best of the 3 things in the combo, which is quite telling. Honestly you get a decent amount of food for $15. But to constantly take the top 5 for recommended on Yelp in this area and waste my time to even look at it, it definitely doesn't belong remotely close to top 10.

The options seem similar to Chubby Dumpling and Tigawok. I ordered the #4 Combo, with the Signature Dumplings and the Signature Noodles. Both dishes were good. The Signature Noodles were nicely done and had some good flavor, I just wish that there was a protein option to add to it. The Signature Dumplings were fine. I've also tried the Spicy Wontons, which were small but tasty. The big sell here is the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, for $17.95. This is the only dish that's served in a big ceramic bowl, and not a to-go container. It also comes with a proper Ramen soup spoon. This is a meal on it's own. Filled with broth, noodles, chunks of tender, but fatty beef, daikon radishes and bok choy. The dish is good for the price, but the broth was a bit underwhelming for my taste. Fortunately, they have plenty of condiments to add more spice and heat. Over all, Bafang Dumpling was better than expected.
