I was planning to get DFC last weekend and remembered a new location in Arcadia opened up which is closer to me so I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, I learned they offer dim sum items which the other locations don't so it was more of an incentive to try, and I'm glad that I did. I ordered the staples - shu mai and har gow - as well as the BBQ pork buns and turnip cake. Everything was delicious! Har gow was more plump than I'm used to and very good, not oily when you bite into it unlike a lot of other places. My second favorite dish would be the buns but everything I got was good and worth the price I feel like. Parking can be difficult when it's busy and service can be iffy also when it's busy. But other than that, I will definitely come back for more dim sum, especially since they offer it later than other places! read more

Liked the noodle, indifferent about the soup, didn't care for the wonton. dim sum...not worth it & won't bother ever again. We got the black bao with salted egg custard (one of my fav but here, it was super sweet and liquid-y), meat & black fungus wrapped with tofu skin (liked it here bc not slimey and oily like most dim sum places), intestine stew (meh) service was meh. they were nice when they got to us but it was literally a hunt, hunting them down to order, then to give us the bowls after they brought out the congee, then also the check then also for us to pay the check. I've been coming here for breakfast for two years. Recent two times of my visits have been horrifying. The congee had burned taste. The ribs in it tasted like frozen in fridge for weeks. The spam in soup noodles was rotten. The owner seems to have given up this place at least the breakfast. Beware of rotten food and bad cooking hygiene. read more

I am a diehard fan of hongkongese food, always want to try out different dishes when I come to a Hongkongese restaurant. This time I ordered their new menu- braised e-fu noodles with pork and a house special filet mignon cubes. Noodles are flavorful but not over seasoned, the beef is so juicy and tender. I am surprised that they still offered authentic Sriracha sauce since there is a shortage lately. Couldn't get anybody's attention without getting out of my seat to go flag somebody down. Soy sauce chow mein was bland and oily. Porridge tasted like the bottom of a burned pot. Even the waitress admitted that the kitchen was rushed so the entire pot was burned. My wife asked for no sauce on her pork chop bun. Instead the put sauce and no cheese. Fine they messed up. But what upset me is that the waitress argued and tried to tell is she ordered extra sauce and no cheese. Really? She sounded like one of my kids who got in trouble and double down on their lost cause rather than accepting responsibility and fixing it. Expansive menu options and decently priced for portion as well. The lemon ice tea is pretty addicting. For parents with young kids, babies, or expecting mothers, it's probably better to skip the hype the first couple of weeks and go across the street to Garden Cafe. My wife, baby and I showed up grand opening weekend on Sunday at 9:45 AM and were told a 30-40 min wait for a table of 3. 30 minutes later, I'm told another 30-40 minutes. I come back at 10:50 and was told another 30 minutes to an hour. Waits should really never be this long for something pretty simple. They also didn't have take out due to their grand opening. Just skip it, I've heard other patrons saying other locations were better. I guess people were really going for that 50% discount. We went across the street at this point to Garden Cafe and got a seat immediately. They can't really estimate the time accurately so it's just a waste of time, many other parents with small kids and babies also left as I was leaving after hearing 60-90 minute wait time. read more

We came here for dinner, but if you want congee you have to come in the morning. We ordered curry beef stew, but the waitress forgot to bring in the rice, so I asked her for it, then I waited and waited and then saw her just chatting to other waitresses. We almost finished half of the dish. Finally I asked another waiter for the rice and he did bring me the rice and apologized. We ordered two glasses of water but it was nowhere in sight. On 2nd day grand opening in January, my family and I waited in line at 8:40am to eat at Delicious Food Corner. There was a line and it stretched to back of restaurant. Inside has lots of booths and communal tables and round tables. We got a booth right away as soon we reached the counter. The menu is composed of dim sum combos and jook combos and side items. Each dish came one at a time. They make a really good thick century egg jook, but beef Chow fun was lackluster. The Sui mai, Chinese doughnut wrapped in rice flour was good. Lots of servers around and very good on refills. We waited the longest for Chinese doughnut wrapped in rice flour. We told several servers about it and never came until end as we were ready to pay. Somehow we got charged twice for it. Todays bill was 50% and didn't make a fuss because the servers was running around. We stayed there for an hour. When leaving, there was lots of people waiting crowded in the lobby. Plenty parking in the back. Nice to try another location. read more

As a Cantonese, this is the most authentic Cantonese food I have eaten since I came to the United States. Delicious food corner makes me feel like I'm in a restaurant somewhere in Guangdong enjoying these. I really recommend fried rice with Minced Pork. It has amazing taste and amount, we were shocked when the waiter brought it to the table. While enjoying this delicacy, we also ate pineapple buns and drank classic Hong Kong-style milk tea. For the noodle dishes they give you several options to choose from - crispy, vermicelli, flat rice noodle, etc. There is also a Dim Sum Combo option where you can pick up to two items from their dim sum list. Ordered Siu mai, steam rice roll with beef aka ngaw cherng fun, steamed rice roll with Chinese fried donut, purple Mochi with salty sweet egg yolk fried ball, fried rice, Peking pork chip and beef and string beans. A must try! Fresh hot crispy. Now the prices are not cheap. The days of yum cha cafe 99 cent dim sum are over but for quality and price. This dfc is pretty good. I mean when you go out you do expect to pay these days. This place is large clean and bright after the remodel. After asking this DFC is affiliated with the original one in MP, RH, west covina, Irvine and chino hills coming. We came for lunch and ice lemon tea, Chinese milk tea and coffee were $2.50 with unlimited refills. If you order the dimsum and the rest of your party orders the breakfast menu, theres a huge time difference in which the food comes out. I finished my dimsum meal before anyone else got their food, and we waited another 15 minutes after I finished before anyone else got anything. We were also missing 2 orders which we had to remind them about. The food quality is also not as good as the other locations. The dimsum wasn't bad though, but I prefer the breakfast items at their other locations. So glad there's a Delicious Food Corner closer to me now! I came during their grand opening for dinner to take advantage of their 50% off promotion on most of their menu. I'm giving them some grace since it just opened and staff is still getting into the swing of things. We ordered the fried chicken wings, toast with PB & condensed milk, minced meat rice with egg, and black bean short rib claypot rice. Everything tasted good, but the mince meat rice was missing their seasoning topper. When we asked about it, we were told they didn't have it yet. We also ordered it spicy, but it wasn't. This dish is probably best at the OG Monterey Park location. The claypot rice was kind of oily at the bottom, but the crispy rice was good. We decided to order the chicken wings at the end, but unfortunately it took like 45 minutes for it to arrive because there was a long queue for the fried food. With the discount promotion, our bill came out to be around $45 with tip. Some pros and cons: Pros: -Friendly staff -Short wait (because we got there right when they opened) -Food here always hits the spot -I totally appreciated the promotion Cons: -Took food a while to come out (probably because staff, both front of house and back of house, needs more time to adjust) -Mince meat rice dish missed the mark because it wasn't spicy and was missing an ingredient -Staff was slammed so it took some time to flag staff down to ask for refills or updates on status of food Overall, I would come back when staff is more adjusted and only for breakfast since they have more of the items I want to eat. The food came out pretty fast. They had a breakfast special where you can order a bowl of porridge. With it came a choice of noodle rolls, chow mein or a Chinese donut. Drinks came with it too. Choice of coffee or tea. They even have dim sum combinations with choice of drinks. The food was very tasty. The waiters came back to check on our drinks and gave us refills. The only thing that was worth noting was the pineapple bread with butter. The bread was soft, and fresh, while the top was crispy and sweet, clashing yet complimenting the salty butter... delicious.
