    Pork & Shrimp Siu Mai

This place has something that I am craving and not always available at other dim sum place: Crispy Taro Dumpling! Other than that, this place offer other great quality of food. The theme is semi fine dining as the table has proper table cloth. The only downside of this place is only the service, not all the staffs were friendly, they even leaning to be rude. So if you don't really care of the service, please go ahead to give this place a try!

It wasn't bad for our first time here. Was looking for something in the area as we had something else going on later and didn't want to venture too far from it. Sunday and it was a good packed amount inside. There wasn't a wait as some tables were open. Everything is ordered from the sheet so no dim sum carts going around. Price wise per items were good, about 6.00/7.00 depending on a A or B dish. There's loads of other Ala cart items as well. Good didn't take long to arrive as things come out either at different time or a few at a time depending on availability. Quality was nice for what we had. There are a few beer options on had as well. The salt and pepper calamari was way to salty but everything else was nice. First time and it was nice. Food didn't take long to arrive and they were hot upon arrival which was a plus.

Savory Daikon cake. Delicious. I pan fried it a bit at home.

Why the 2.5 stars average Yelp rating? Ouch! Well, I had a chance to check out Full House BBQ To Go when I was in the area. Since, I did not feel like driving to my usual spots for Cantonese BBQ, I gave this place a try despite the low Yelp ratings and was pleasantly surprised: their food was good! Clean BBQ area was well. Full House BBQ (food stall) is an extension of (Full House Seafood) their restaurant next door, but located within the food court next to 99 Ranch Market in the President Plaza in Arcadia. Service wise I thought the man behind the counter was meticulous and friendly. I left a nice gratuity and after I paid, he hook me up with extra food- he sincerely did not have to do that! Thank you kindly, see you next time! -CASH ONLY -Parking available in private lot shared with 99 Ranch Market and other businesses.

It's sad to expect minimal service at a Cantonese Dim Sum restaurant but that's what we received. The food is tasty and meets all of the required flavors however temperature wise - the items did not come out steaming hot which is what you expect for a mark the item and bring it to you restaurant on a weekday. Food should be steaming hot! Especially on a quiet Friday! We had: Pai Guet (steamed black bean pork Riblets - good), Sui Mai (shrimp & pork steamed dumpling - good), Har Guow (shrimp dumpling - good but skins stuck to wax paper), Ngoh Cheong (beef rice roll - ok), Hom Sei Gouk (deep fried meat dumpling - good), Dan Tot (egg tart - ok but small), Naw Mei Gai (lotus leaf wrapped rice and meat - not much meat, no visible shitake mushroom or large chicken pieces, small bits), XO Fun (who adds bean sprouts to an XO Fun?, not charred enough), Bau Lau Ngai Wong Bau (pineapple flake crusted custard bun - ok), Fried Shrimp Ball on Sugar Cane Stick (good), and Fried Chive Dumpling (very good). Also $1.99 a person for tea for lousy service. Waiter drops the Mustard/ Hot Sauce on the table in a small plastic container, not gently put but almost like a toss, another group walks in and wants a table in back for five, waiter says no, sit here, back there is a table for eight, and place is not busy for a Friday. He just says sit here. No smiles, hello,....just grumpy people. Food needs to be hotter!

I came here to try some dimsum that i apparently haven't heard of, and my cousins wanted to show them to me. Especially the Chinese sausage rolls. This place is in a small strip mall with mostly Asian shops. Almost the opposite end of the mall from ranch 99/ 99 ranch. It looks litk quintessential chinese dimsum restaurant. Though like in Hong kong they have started touse the fill out forms instead of the carts that I remember growing up. The food is pretty good. Like each place they have their specialties. I really like their offal dish however the turnips were not cooked with the offal so so the flavor was not soaked i, I also liked the Chinese sausage rolls, it has the richness of the Chinese sausage coupled with the subtle sweetness of the steamed bread that wraps it. Over all everything was very good. I like somethings better at the places and I like somethings here better. The servers were the stereotypical Chinese servers at Chinese dimsum restaurant. So don't expect white table cloth service.

My boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday afternoon and was glad there was no wait! We were seated promptly and the servers were quick to get us our waters and menus. You get a paper where you mark what you would like to order and the food comes out pretty fast. Overall, the food was not bad but nothing stood out to me.

The dim sum is good here and the service was excellent today for us. We got here around 11 and left at 2:30 and they didn't say anything but give us hot water for our tea. I came with a friend from Tennessee and she miss dim sum.

A huge selection from the menu!

Great food & nice sized portions ... excellent service given we had a large party. Food selections were amazing.

I was craving soy sauce chicken so decided to go to their food court side of the restaurant. I ordered the Combo Roasted Duck and Soy Sauce Chicken Rice. The roast duck was decent but their soy sauce chicken was not it! Lack flavor and a little rubbery. The price isn't bad (about $18 with tax) but probably won't be back to just get this.

Amazing dimsum. There's almost no wait to get seated. Parking lot is very busy because of all the awesome shops here. The space is beautiful and perfect for a wedding or other formal events.

Full House Seafood Restaurant continues to be a hidden treasure in the neighborhood. We recently had the Bae Fung Tong lobster, and it was absolutely incredible--perfectly cooked with a light, crunchy coating that was downright addictive. Every dish we ordered was well prepared, flavorful, and satisfying. The service has its quirks--don't expect typical American-style service--but it's friendly and efficient in its own way. If you're familiar with traditional Chinese restaurants, you'll feel right at home. My family has been coming here for decades, and even though ownership changed a few years back, the food quality has stayed consistently excellent. It's the kind of place that deserves more love and a full dining room every night. Beyond casual meals, this is also a fantastic spot for events and banquets. My family has hosted many celebrations here over the years--birthdays, anniversaries, even milestone gatherings--and each one was a great success. The food always impresses, and the staff knows how to handle large groups smoothly. If you're looking for authentic, delicious Chinese seafood in a welcoming, no-frills setting--whether for dinner or a big family celebration--this is your spot.

Not all chinese restaurants have the same juiciness & taste of Full House dimsum. Their siomai and chix feet are soft & moist. They would serve it hot & fresh to your table matched with its special hot tea. Their menu would definitely comfort you for the long wait!

I believe it's under new ownership and the dim sum was pretty delicious! The roast duck is a must try!

The food is consistently good, honestly better than a lot of nearby places that charge quite a bit more. What won me over right away, though, was the breakfast combo. Two dim sum items and a hot drink for just $14 is a genuinely good deal. A cold drink is only $1 more (typical HK practice), and you can also take your drink to go for another $1, which is a nice little convenience. I'm pretty particular about milk tea, so I don't say this lightly: their half coffee, half milk tea really hits the spot every time. It's balanced, and satisfying. Beyond the combo, they also serve all the comfort staples, porridge, fried chow mein, Chinese donuts, and my personal favorite, rice noodles with a variety of fillings. It delivers the same comforting flavors you want from a casual dim sum-style breakfast, but without the inflated prices, long waits, and hectic atmosphere that have become so common at more traditional dim sum spots. This place is a solid, dependable replacement for the usual dim sum experience. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the service is consistently warm and welcoming. The driveway can be a little tricky. It sits right next to the Taco Bell drive-through exit, separated only by a fire hydrant, so it's easy to miss or get confused when pulling in. But it's a small tradeoff for a spot that delivers this much value and consistency.

It's located on Baldwin Ave at the LAF Plaza in Arcadia (there used to be a Burlington there). We had a party of 8, so we ordered quite a few dishes: stir-fried string beans in garlic sauce, French-style deep-fried fish with basil and black pepper, shredded free-range chicken, water spinach with spicy bean curd sauce, sweet and sour spare ribs, spicy eggplant with minced pork in a clay pot, and crispy beef stew served with curry sauce. The first few dishes arrived quickly, and every dish was flavorful and delicious. We especially liked the string beans and the water spinach. The French-style deep-fried fish with basil and black pepper was addictive, and surprisingly it wasn't spicy at all. The shredded free-range chicken tasted fresh, while the eggplant with minced pork clay pot was just okay. The last two dishes took quite a while to arrive after we had already finished most of our meal. The sweet and sour spare ribs flavor was on point. However, we had to check on our final dish several times because we waited more than 30 minutes for the crispy beef stew with curry sauce. But with each new Hong Kong style restaurant I try, the more expansive my view, and belly, get. Alice's Kitchen, specifically this one in Temple City, was a refreshing look at not just the food but the vibe as well. Design - Falling into a different world Walking into Alice's Kitchen from the back parking lot is like walking into a vibrant food court back in the 1980s. Bright neon signs are placed throughout the dining room floor, faux food stalls can be seen to give more of a community feel to the inside, and I love the sprawl of different props of newspapers, t-shirts hung on clotheslines, and big advertisements on the walls like you might see in a food court. It really elevated the atmosphere of the space and I loved their branded orange plates, bowls, spoons, and chopsticks. It gave whimsy to this place. Staff - Cool The staff here are like what you expect from any Chinese restaurant. You try to flag one down or grab their attention with your wandering eyes and when they come over you can tell them what you want. They take your order and usually within 5-7 minutes you'll start to see your food heading your way. Perfect for anyone hungry and dying to eat right away. When you ask for to-go boxes at the end of the meal (you definitely will) moments after you get your food packed someone will appear with a tablet ready for you to pay right there at the table. Talk about speed. Food - Onions galore I see that in Hong Kong cuisine there is this mix match of Western and Chinese tastes put together. This fusion of ideas is what brings something like their large pineapple bun sandwiches to existence. We got the BBQ pork (char siu) pineapple bun sandwich and this came warm with a fried egg, slab of butter, generous slices of BBQ pork, and a savory sauce. For one person, this could be a good main dish to be accompanied by a side. For this split between two people, this is a savory sweet dish perfect to wet the appetite. Highly recommend getting one of these. The sweet & sour pork was nostalgic to me. Served with chunks of white onion, green peppers, and pineapple the flavor of this reminded me very much of the sweet & sour pork Chinese-Korean restaurants serve, except for the color being different and no cabbage in the sauce. It has the sweetness brought out by the pineapple but still a bit of tang and deep savoriness of the pork with each bite. The onions were undercooked and you'll see this as a pattern for all their dishes containing onions. The French style filet mignon chunks were fantastic. Juicy and flavorful, each bite makes the mouth water more and more and the texture gave such pleasant mouth feels. The fried basil accompanying it also gave a burst of freshness and herbacious flavors. Just be careful not to accidentally bite into a chunk of ginger. Unless you love ginger. Then go right ahead. The beef chow fun with black bean sauce was great. Nice balance of their black bean sauce with the textures of the chunks of beef, the onions and peppers in this add a nice crunch and difference in flavor that balances all the savoriness. The tofu with spiced salt was also incredible. When I ate this still piping hot the crisp exterior with the hot soft interior made me smile. The spiced coating was flavorful and with some rice it gives a nice balance with each bite. Final Thoughts With all the food we got for dinner, I'm sure I leaned more into the Chinese cuisine side than the Hong Kong side. However, I was happy with the quality and depth of flavors in everything I had. Alice's Kitchen has definitely been one of the better Hong Kong restaurants I've had and I'm excited to explore more of this cuisine in the future. Can't wait to come back!

Garden cafe just recently remodeled their Patio. Really wish that they can bring back the outdoor booth seating. But it is still nice and roomy at the patio. Very pet friendly.

I wasn't a huge fan of the beef chow fun because I found it a little bland for my taste. The service is efficient, and while the interior is a little dated (peep the advertising placemats), it was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking available in the lot. I also enjoy their Hainan chicken which was tender enough - which I was delighted to find comes with a salted egg and some lightly pickled vegetables. Their beef cube dish is also good - the beef was tender, and the accompanying mix of onions, mushrooms, basil, and few jalapenos tastes great over rice. Their menu is huge and I definitely want to try more items next time!
