Brought my mom here to try and we got a feast. Since they didn't have Boiled Chili Lamb, we got the fish. This is definitely a shareable dish, as boiled Schezuan dishes seem to be from my experience. Getting steamed rice to go with is a must! Chili Fried Chicken, was once again moist, tender, and perfectly crisp with spectacular flavor! Mom wanted to try their dumplings so we got their Pork Soup Dumplings. They were packed with meat and soup for the most satisfying bite! Decided to find a new Chinese place to try and Tasty Szechuan was incredible. We had combination fried rice, Szechuan Beef and Salt and Pepper Fish Filet. The portions were enormous. 15+ large pieces of fish in one order and a heaping mound of beef. Be prepared for LOTS of peppers in the beef. Prices were very reasonable for the large portions and you'll definitely be taking some home. The food was all very fresh and well made. My wife (Chinese) went to the one in Concord last week, and found out they were having a grand opening in Martinez on 11/18/24, with 20% off. It's not far from our house, so we made plans to go and were not disappointed. Everything we had was really tasty, the place was was clean and looked really nice, and the owner was very friendly. I don't know if she remembered my wife, but as soon as we entered, she greeted her like an old friend. Unfortunately, I speak about two words of Chinese, so I didn't understand any of their conversation. The food was pretty spicy, even picking out the obvious red peppers. We had a lamb with cumin, some pan-fried juicy pork buns (boy were they juicy!), and a dish they call Dry Hot Pot, where you choose ingredients. We had Lotus Root, Tofu, Fatty Beef, Bok Choy, Shitake Mushrooms, and some other Fungus. It was very tasty, but did have a lot of oil. But everything was very tasty, even the peanuts they serve at the beginning. I definitely want to go back and try some of the other dishes. Went in on a Thursday afternoon at around 1PM. Not too many people were inside. I'm assuming it was because they are still soft opening. Their wifi was down so they were only taking cash and Zelle. Ordered my food at around 1:05, and didn't get my food until 1:50. I had checked in with the cashier at around 1:35 about my order and it seemed like they forgot to put in my order so I waited an extra 15 minutes. Overall, service was slow (due to my order not being put in), but the staff was very nice and offered me free drinks because of the inconvenience. Ordered sweet and sour spareribs lunch special: 3/5. Juiced to have a good Chinese spot close to the house. Tasty Szechuan took over the spot that Los Panchos left after moving to a nicer location by DVC. I enjoyed my visit to this Tasty Szechuan location in Pacheco, with a special thanks to Vivian. She was so wonderful helping me order as I was showing her a photo of what plate I wanted. I ordered the "General Cho's Chicken" dinner plate. I received noodles, a generous portion of my entree, and a spring roll w dipping sauce. I really enjoyed my food and personally couldn't finish the portion, I had some to save! While I waited Vivian was so kind to offer me some refreshments. They have nice music playing and very clean seating area. I highly recommend ordering their Mango Green Tea, it is phenomenal. I visited during the soft opening and they were offering 20% discount. We had a pickup order that ran behind due to a technical issue. This didn't bother me since the two ladies in the front were so kind and thoughtful. This humble looking restaurant actually is quite the experience. First of all the customer service is superb. They were really nice and accommodating but its not to make up for the food. The food tastes exotic with the spices but still very familiar and comforting. The Crab fried rice is to die for. Not too salty and you can taste the crab but my favorite is the sweet and sour spare ribs. So rich in flavor and its sweet but not too sweet. Definitely will be back.
