Relatively easy to find, though you do have to hunt a little bit, Flora Room sits behind a nondescript metal door leading down a short hallway to the entrance. Take a long moment to allow your eyes to adjust if you're coming before sunset; this space is DARK. It's also perfect. Once your "night vision" kicks in you're surrounded by a nice bar, numerous bistro-style tables and booths. Candles adorn the tables creating a nice, cozy place to settle in for drinks. Once seated in comfortable chairs at a table, we were quickly greeted and provided with menus. The cocktail selection is relatively "small" but really nicely varied. Prices seemed a tad steep but frankly, given the quality of the drinks I'd say quite worth it. I started out with the Evita, a nice flavorful gin-base cocktail topped with a nice egg white foam. Very tasty. My wife opted for the Tapaculo, with gin, mezcal, pineapple, banana and bitters over ice. Also quite good. There are also bites available from the associated restaurant I can't recall the name of mine but I can say it was delicious. Bread-like bites with a really tasty dipping sauce. To close out the visit I selected Palo, a smoked aged rum cocktail that was really nice and rich. My wife chose the Nahualito with rum, walnut, amontillado and white chocolate. All should be on your radar. Flora Room really fit the bill for a nice, intimate speakeasy-style spot to spend time. Dark and cozy. Savory cocktails and friendly service will stand out and make you want to return. I know we'll seek it out if we return to Minneapolis again. I hope so.

Good news is that this place isn't very pricey, but the portions aren't huge. My small espresso martini was $12, my boyfriend's beer didn't quite look like a full pint but was only $4. We did laugh that it was called Tiger piss. The espresso martini is good, but beware there's no actual cream liquor in the drink - they seem to squirt some foamy concoction from an unmarked squeeze bottle in a fridge on top, which was interesting. The donuts themselves were very good and definitely lived up to the positive reviews. They were fresh, flavorful, and worth trying if you're in the area. The location, however, made for a very unusual experience. The IDS Center felt almost deserted during our visit, with only a handful of businesses still open. It gave the building an unexpectedly empty atmosphere, which was a bit surprising. We also had a difficult time finding a restroom, and no one we asked seemed to know where one was located. While the setting was a little odd, the quality of the donuts made the stop worthwhile. If you're planning to visit, just be aware that the location itself may be a bit different than you expect.

The menu is very extensive, with 5-6 drinks to chose from based on the type of alcohol you want. Super creative drinks too! I got a version of a Manhattan with rye whiskey, maple and some sort of bitters. The vibe itself is pretty cool, with a bar area, high tops and couches to sit in. By far the most innovative and best cocktails in town! Tattersall changes has frequent new creations to go along with a really well rounded menu. I love the bourbon cocktails and surprisingly the aqua it cocktails are better than I thought. Food truck is a good add, but sometimes hit and miss. Nice patio for summer. Had both the salty dog and old fashioned, both were outstanding. It was definitely one of the smoothest old fashioneds I've had. Went on a Saturday night around 8 with a group of four, it was hard to find a spot to sit. They do have servers going around taking orders, drinks were made in a timely fashion. The space itself is beautiful with a really cozy ambiance, and the patio is a great option when the weather is nice. The drinks are absolutely the star of the show. You can tell there is so much intention behind both the flavors and the presentation. The cocktail menu is super creative, and the Old Fashioned menu alone is phenomenal with so many unique options. The Beorn Old Fashioned was my favorite. We also tried the Payanello (pineapple, lime, ginger, pickled jalapeño) and it was incredible. Food was fantastic as well. The brussels sprouts were so good and a must order. Service was amazing. Our server was so kind, helpful, and gave great recommendations, which made the whole experience even better. It is on the pricier side, especially for drinks, but honestly worth it for the quality and experience. Reservations are easy to make and I would definitely recommend booking ahead. Parking was manageable when we went, but I could see it getting tricky during busier times. Overall, such a beautiful, thoughtfully done space with incredible drinks, great food, and top tier service. A perfect spot for a night out or just grabbing a cocktail and soaking in the vibe.

It was a bit of a trek through rush-hour traffic from our hotel but so completely worth the trip. Discretely located through a door marked only by a red light above it we were warmly greeted by gentleman behind the hardware counter. We were prepared to answer with the password to let us in but for some reason it wasn't asked. No big deal. You are then sent through a door into the beautifully dimly-lit space of the speakeasy. There is plenty of seating, with small tables and some booths. We were shown to our table and greeted by one of the great, friendly hostesses. Drinks are ordered directly at the bar with one of the attendants. You immediately pay for your order which will then be brought to your table. Different but really a nice idea. The music was also nicely unique, with a mix of oldies from the 50's and 60's. An old black and white James Cagney movie played silently on one wall. In terms of the cocktails I have to say these are some of the most delicious and finely crafted drinks I've enjoyed. I began with the Start Your Engine, a delicious gin-based drink. My wife had an absolutely fantastic smoked Old Fashioned, smoked in a large box for a minute or two. Wow! Probably the best we've ever tasted. My second drink was another gin cocktail, the Last Word, which I'd been wanting to try for some time. A fine gin supported by green Chartreuse and lime, this was simply sublime. Highly recommended. The bar and menu is quite varied and extensive, so you're sure to find something to your liking. The space has a great vibe and mellow ambiance. Sufficiently dark, cozy and very nicely and eclectically decorated. Service was outstanding and informative. Reservations are recommended. Like many such places you are "limited" to 90-minute timeframes, which sometimes seems like not enough but ultimately works quite well. The quality of the cocktails, space and service all make for a really enjoyable time. Well worth many visits.

Went to their soft opening last night. Beer, food samples, and a band that played all sorts of songs ending with crown favorite Sweet Carolina. We sampled two of their three beers that they launched with and some pizzas with co-located Tipsy Steers. The beers were pretty good, inside ambiance looks amazing. Tall soaring ceilings makes the space look large up-cycled barn wood decor + steel makes it feel warm yet chic. I predict this to be a place for the Blaine community that is fast growing as well as people from all over the state and world that come to National Sports Center. This review was in my drafts for 3+ years. Better late than never! The place continues to be local favorite, Tipsy Steer (sister restaurant in the brewery) has good food. They both survived the pandemic...yea! Their beers have evolved even further and have made me personally like beer and diversify beyond wine and cocktails.
