The food is unbelievable! The quality and value are unmatched. The service is fantastic. Definitely one of the best dining experiences of our lives. Tastes better than Ruth's Chris steakhouse for less than a quarter of the price. And the ambiance is very nice without being stuffy. Went here little over a month ago. My friend had had a little baby and this was my meet and greet with tiny Brody lol. We were supposed to go somewhere else but ended up here and glad that happened. This place was fantastic! I thought because of the yawwwwwn, the viRUs! that going to a restaurant would suck, be depressing, but nah, this place was great. My first experience there was a 5 star one for sure. The food was tasty af! I had a salad, not too shocking. I'm super picky to begin with and salad is what I usually get, but glad I tried theirs. It was one of the best. The chicken too was actually tasty and tasted like chicken rather than some processed crap like the chicken I had at Buffalo Wild Wings lol. Our waiter, wish I could remember his name. Older gent, was the waiter we all need to have a great experience. He was on top of everything. He made sure my friends drinks were always topped off and always made sure I had fresh water....yeah, I'm a boring date lol. This wasn't a date though haha! But I don't drink ..usually lol. He made sure our food was good and cooked right. He was great with my friends kids. He was just a great guy. He kinda reminded me of a waiter you'd get in a super nice restaurant. Yeah, I've been to a few...probably had chicken every time too or pasta lol. Anyway, we all have been to super nice restaurants and the waiters and waitresses are always super attentive vs regular restaurants where yeah they're usually nice, but let's be honest, most only care about that $crilla! How much tip they're gonna get haha! Those restaurants where they're super attentive and seem to be genuinely interested in you, what you want, and just all around seem to love their job. That was this guy! He was awesome. He deserves a promotion! Aside from that, prices were great, friends loved their alcoholic beverages and all loved the waiter and the food. Place is super clean. We had a very enjoyable lunch here after church this past Sunday. Lots of people brunching and sipping mimosas. We chose to sit belly up to the bar as we feel we get quick attentive service most places. Boy, we sure did here too! Our bartender/server Matt was on fire! Not only was he friendly and fast, watching him fill the drink orders was entertaining. Not in a bottle flipping way, but just seeing him work so efficiently in and around the bar, interacting with other guests, cleaning as needed, it was just fun to see. I am not a big eater, and I was just craving a cool crisp salad, I ordered just the side house salad. It was everything I'd hoped for (loved the better than average balsamic vinaigrette dressing) and even though it was a "side salad" it was plenty and I couldn't even finish it all. My husband loves Club sandwiches and we overhead the guy nearby say it was the best he'd ever had, so done deal. He loved how they perfectly toasted the bread, he could taste the quality in the meats and said the produce was fresh and delicious. It is definitely a solid choice. Something else we noticed while there, was how hard the owner was working alongside the other team members, whether that was the hostess or a cook, he was definitely pitching in busing a table, running out drinks or getting needed supplies from the back. Went with my husband. It was packed on a Thursday night but we didn't wait long to be seated. They had some football games playing. The service was very friendly and everything came out at a great pace. I had the Lynchburg Lemonade which was delicious. I also had the seared tuna with veggies and scalloped potatoes. The tuna had a great seasoning on it and was cooked perfectly. The scalloped potatoes were the bomb! My husband had the lobster capellini and loved it. The ambiance is cozy, classy, and comfortable. This place was a wonderful surprise! Came here for lunch and were happy we did! The decor is modern and nice. I love that the servers are dressed nicely and they were all super friendly and helpful. They have high private booths which are great so you don't see the table next to you staring at you. The bar area is really cool. They have purse hooks and usb outlets underneath if your phone is in need of charging. The cocktails were very tasty and they have a full bar. Our lunch was very good and had the upscale feel for a great price. I had the salmon salad which was a little salty but the salmon had a good flavor and was not over cooked. My man had the barbecue burger which not only looked amazing but was super tasty. The fries were some of the best I've had. Newish eatery with same owners as Tavern at Bown Crossing and Owyhee Tavern. Knowing the mode of those others and assuming similar menu and food quality here we went in with expectations set on low side of mid range. But even at that the experience undershot the mark. Neither ambiance nor eats would bring us back under our own steam. If others suggested meet up here, we'd suggest alternates. We left with a sense that if Applebee's were a kindergarten kid who ascended to third grade it would be this eatery. We are big fans of supporting locally owned restaurants but this isn't one we'll choose again. LOCATION: The highly visible intersection corner in a strip mall at the border of Meridian and Eagle - this is the venue as Blaze Pizza, Fred Meyer, CupBop Korean and Flatbread Neapolitan Pizzeria among others - near a slew of housing developments is likely a prime location for the owners to have selected to bring in the demographic of diner they're looking for and as alternate to the sea of chain eateries in this area. They will likely be packed at peak times once their audience - maybe Eagle Bardenay fans and folks still 'California dreamin' - finds them. VIBE & SEATING: Dark space with brown paint paneled walls and windows only at far end. Tight booths on the opposite side of the room from the bar, high step up tight booths in the bar - which is the location with a sense of light - and three'ish small tables right inside the door for those who require table seating or prefer it. Music of not unpleasant '70's - 90's mix but set too loud, 3 TVs showing sporting events scattered around the room with none easily visible from many of the booths on the opposite side of the bar. And in the mode of "what WERE they thinking" in a business where focus is on bar / liquor / beer sales they have but one stall loo each for guys and girls. Imagine the logistics on a busy night. EATS: Maybe the chaos is to get people not to notice the food is just ho-hum. The lunch menu of appetizers ($8 - $15), sandwiches & burgers ($12 - $16), salads ($8 - $13) with a soup or two ($6 bowl). The folks who ordered the tomato basil at an adjoining table left it uneaten as they said it was so bad so it waved us in another direction for our lunch order. The two dishes we chose were enough to eat but sort of C+ at best - clams were chewy and salad drowning in dressing. Dinner menu is similar to lunch but expanded to include other things (like steak & chops $24 - $45 or poultry and seafood options $17 - $28) and with some specific to the Eagle location in the "Tavern at" series. (Owners said they design each Tavern menu to include some things unique to the location.) Dessert menu is straight out of Sysco Sweet Things offerings (literally) and about half a dozen at $8 in options like Mud Pie, Flourless Chocolate Cake, Berry Cobbler... (Bottle prices roughly $22 like Sycamore Lane Chard to $350 for Opus One. Limited number of wines by glass about $10 - $14.) What audience of customers would order a bottle of Leonetti Reserve Cab ($260) or Pepperbridge Merlot ($75) without knowing vintage year? And if our experience with the very nice but not fully trained servers was any indicator, they wouldn't know wine information either if one asked. Happy note is that coffee is Stumptown and served hot. STAFFING: Servers were pleasant and trying. The hostess was working hard to bus stables as customers left, sweep floors under tables and still answer phones and seat customers by going up on her "tip toes" to try to keep an eye on the distant door where customers entered. Suggests owners are cutting staffing corners. ACCESSIBILITY: Barely mere minimum for accessible seating here and awkward for sure. Were I a person using a wheelchair, I would note that all of the booth seating in the dining room and all of the high step up booth seating in the bar is not usable and "you are not welcome here" in design. Only three small tables in the odd traffic pattern entry space seem accessible. The bathroom is accessible but soap dispenser set above the 48" max reach range of law and code. Only accessible parking spaces in the lot are at the far end of the sidewalk. SERVICE HOURS: Open straight through from lunch (11:00 I think) through dinner (starts and 4:00) and have a Happy Hour beginning at 4:00. I arrived here on a Saturday afternoon with my sons, and we were seated right away in a booth of our choice. Our server, Joshua, came over quickly to take our order, and our food came out in a prompt manner. This isn't a very kid-friendly restaurant in that they had no crayons, coloring books or any activities for the children to do while waiting for their meals. Besides that, everything else was awesome. The food was tasty, and my boys ate all of their food, in which I ordered them a hamburger with steak fries & some chicken tenders with fresh fruit I ordered the corn chowder (DELICIOUS!!!), coconut shrimp & an adult beverage, as pictured. We will definitely return as I can see they take great pride in their bar concoctions, martinis & drinks. Such a great experience & Joshua was AMAZING. TYSM!!! read more

Well we finally found a happy hour. Not that happy though. Ordered the nachos, hummus, and satay. As expected they were small portions but to be fair the nachos did state that. However, the nachos were heavy in cheese, good, but there was maybe 3 pieces of pot roast and very little of the rest of the toppings. Hummus was really good. Now the satay.... good size portion. Out of the three pieces one was over cooked one was cooked right but was mushy and super though to eat. The other was OK. Pieces were very thick. I don't recommend this at all. Beautiful restaurant! Met up for a late lunch on Saturday. The place was fairly full but still open seating. Booths are comfortable. Sat near the bar. Three tv's had games playing and we were happy!! Had a couple good burgers. They are about 1/3 lb patties. Cooked to medium as we requested and well seasoned. The BBQ bacon burger had crispy onion strings and gave the burger a nice crunch. My son had the jalapeño burger. It had a lot of raw jalapeño on it. Prime Rib sandwich looked great too. They have a nice menu with many options...but not too many. We will be going back!! read more

The food here was great- the steak sandwich was great. The kids Mac and cheese was fantastic. I wasn't a huge fan of them having a weird serial killer show on when we came in, but they changed it to sports when we asked. Didn't want our toddler watching someone being beaten in whatever crime show it was. The service was very nice and friendly, but there were long inconsistent gaps in waiting for water to be refilled and waiting for our check. Maybe 2/3 of the tables were full, so they just seemed like they weren't on it with getting things done in an efficient way. They were pretty accommodating with kids, had a good selection for kids menu and kids drink cups. We will be back because the food was good- but the service could definitely be better. read more

This place was spot on. The decor was warm and inviting, the staff were great and the food/drinks were delicious. Or server was Andy and he was very knowledgeable and attentive. My husband had the flat iron steak and I had the capalini and lobster. Steak was come perfectly and my fish was delicious. My family just enjoyed dinner for my birthday this past week. It was our first time into the restaurant and we were greeted and seated right away. The decor was modern and everything was well kept and clean! From the appetizer to desserts the food was delicious and great portions. The most stellar part of our experience was our waiter Johnny...he was personable and took good care of us including singing me happy birthday! Understaffed, but very nice waiter. however the food came out in staggered deliveries for a party of 8 and the drink order literally to 40 minutes from sitting down to arrive at the table. not exaggerating it was horribly slow for a average friday night. when food did arrive, several of the entrees were cold and you could tell they had been sitting waiting for delivery. food quality and taste was good, but unfortunately disappointed because was not served hot. this also went for the soup, tomato bisque, also tasted good but luke warm. If they figure out the service element would go back, but with the challenges we experienced I would likely not recommend at this time. read more

The food is tasty but pricey. Everything I've tried so far has been good. Not out of the ballpark great, but good. I haven't had the best luck with the staff, however. I always assume everyone has a bad day now and then. I guess I hit the bad days both times I went. They hired a hostess that barely speaks above a whisper. I had to ask her to speak louder several times. It wasn't pleasant to work with that, so I think it will be quite a while until I return. Perhaps by then the staff will be having better days and the hostess will be speaking above the loudness of the restaurant. I'll give it a try... someday. The foods good though. read more

Remarkably good "date night" dinner with my wife. On a Friday night, we had a 45m wait, but sat at the bar for a cocktail. I really liked the cocktail menu, and noted they have a French 75...nice! Cocktails were tasty, properly prepared, and generously poured. We moved to a table for dinner...I didn't love the lighting (weird overhead lights that make you look like you're in a horror movie, but your plate is well lit). Also too many TVs in the dining area for me, but I understand how it is these days. Food-wise, I had the sirloin with potatoes au gratin and wife had the smoked salmon pasta special. Both entrees were quite good...steak properly prepared (med rare) with a nice sear and crust, pasta was solid (salmon was just barely smoked, more like chunks of fresh salmon in it). The potatoes were a huge win...definitely glad I got them! Side green beans were just fine. Service was good, food came at a good pace, and our drink orders were right (we were a little worried).
