Stopped by for Sunday lunch for the first time, and I was impressed by the beautiful setup and welcoming ambiance. It does get pretty busy on weekends, so I definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. We ordered the moussaka, spanakopita, and chicken breast souvlaki--everything was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be coming back, maybe for dinner or even a special celebration!

Came here after a day at the Getty Museum. Since we were tired and hungry...instead of waiting 20 min for a table..we opted for the bar. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. Though the original bartender who served us wasn't all that attentive..took a long time to order and get things going...and getting our bill etc...the next bartender who came on was amazing... unfortunately we were leaving at this point... Food came promptly after placing our order. I got the chicken Shish kabob plate. The chicken was moist and the potato was really flavorful. The rice was also really good. We also had the olive /feta appetizer (really nice variety of olives w a light citrus oil), the hummus was creamy and good. The pita seemed like it was made in house-sooo fluffy and good. The house dip was a n out of the ordinary treat and ten sourdough bread was really fresh and delicious . (Comes if you get an entree)

My wife and had seen a reel on IG about this place and since we are only 30 min away we new we HAD TO COME CHECK THIS PLACE OUT. We are so happy that we did. You will find Taverna Tony in Malibu near PCH 1. Beautiful restaurant with seating available indoor and outdoor. We had made reservations so we were seated immediately at the bar since we weee there for their happy hour. (Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4 to 6). The happy hour is actually a very good one with great deals. We orderd the chopped salad, meze plate, and the calamari along with a draft beer and a glass of wine for $80 bucks. That's a great deal in Malibu considering the portions of food too. We absulotely loved the house dip and bread that came complimentary. Honestly that was the best dip of the house in our opinion. The meze plate was ok, however the pita was incredible. Chopped salad was very good and the calamari was incredible. We really did enjoy our meal and we will definitely come back again. Overall if your in the area, make sure to check them out. You defenitly won't regret it. Till next time.

I first came here with my boyfriend about a year ago; and was so blown away that I had to drive another 2+ hours for another visit! First off, the interior / exterior of the entire restaurant is GORGEOUS. It actually feels like I'm in Greece or something lol. I recommend outdoor seating! The service is pretty friendly and quick, overall had pleasant experiences both times with the staff. The food is what steals the show- especially the free bread and garlic dip appetizer. I've seriously never had garlic dip that bomb in my life. The calamari & chopped salad was also so fresh and high quality. The entrees that we got, steak skewers and the lasagna, was honestly just okay (steak was a bit overcooked and dry) and a bit pricey but the other food made up for it 100%. Overall I love this unique restaurant!

I had been wanting to try Taverna Tony ever since I moved out to L.A. My husband and I were in Malibu recently, and I finally had the opportunity to dine here. I was so excited, and the whole experience did not disappoint. For starters, the restaurant is so beautiful! The Greek Mediterranean decor is stunning, and the outdoor patio is such a lovely place to enjoy a meal. Our server was very kind and helpful, and he suggested that we try some of the most popular dishes on the menu. We started with the Famous House Dip (an absolute MUST) and homemade bread (the most perfect bread ever), then we shared the Grilled Octopus, Pastichio (a Greek lasagna), and Spanakopita (feta and spinach baked in a light pastry). Everything was incredible!!! We didn't have room for dessert, but definitely want to try the baklava and tiramisu next time. We already have plans to dine here again this month, and I'm looking forward to tasting some other items on the menu. Tip: Be sure to make a reservation, as this place is very popular, even during the afternoon.

Had an amazing time at Taverna Tony a couple of weeks ago for my girlfriends graduation dinner. My girlfriend originally called in advance for the reservation weeks in advance and when we arrived we came later than the reservation. Shout out to the hostess for honoring a late window to us to arrive. When walking in I was blown away by the modern aesthetic and large tables for group dining. They also have a large outside patio. Starting off we ordered their Greek Salad, I think we got the Horiatiki and it was basically a greek salad but without the salad. The server said it's the Greek way to get it like this but it was just tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, peppers, olives and dressing. Wasn't a big fan of this. We also ordered the calamari which was amazing and perfectly crispy. Not oily like other spots. For my entree I got the Chicken breast skewers and it was pretty good, definitely wasn't worth the price for $33, it came with rice and potatoes but I subbed it for fries. I definitely think this place would be a 4 star if the prices were a bit better. I've had expensive Mediterranean food and I think it should be a little less for how the food was.

The BEST Greek cuisine hands down! From the moment I sat down, I knew I was in for a treat. They start you off with warm bread and the most delicious dip made from avocado - it's creamy, flavorful, and honestly addictive. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay and the Chilean sea bass, which came perfectly prepared with roasted potatoes and fresh vegetables. Every bite was flavorful, light, and satisfying. I came here for a solo lunch date and absolutely thoroughly enjoyed myself. The ambiance is sexy and chic with that classic Malibu breeze, and the service was fabulous - attentive, warm, and welcoming without being overbearing. Whether you're dining solo or with friends, this is a must-visit spot for an elevated and authentic Greek experience in Malibu. I'll definitely be back!

So we're big fans of Greek island vibes and Taverna didn't disappoint. First off their outdoor patio is a winner. It's such a fantastic spot to indulge in the Malibu breeze while enjoying your Grecian meal. The best part and I'm not kidding is their bread with garlic sauce. They're both complimentary which is amazing given how delectable each are. The bread is so chewy and the garlic sauce deserves to be a food group of its own. Don't skip on the grilled octopus. I repeat don't skip on the grilled octopus.

We have gone back to Taverna Tony's several Sunday nights and have had repeatedly had great food and consistently good service while sitting outside with social distancing.Greek food as authentic as the Food we have enjoyed in Greece. This place used to be good. Really unfortunate. Service is awful. Waiter brought us another tables food. The vegetarian platter came out with all the dips on 1 small plate. Literally just threw everything onto the plate. If you want some hummus you also get tzatziki on it. Joke. Food took forever to come out. We just decided to leave. Not with the money , customer service and waste of a day. :( read more

I would probably give the restaurant five stars simply for the bread. As an Angeleno I don't eat as much bread these days as I used to and I am extremely picky about the bread I do eat. So all I can say that the hot bread and garlic that they serve when you sit down is worth driving 100 miles for. It's also a lovely location with a fantastic patio and the rest of the food was good as well. If you're looking for a nice Greek place that treats its guests well, I think you'll enjoy this place. read more

Don't usually write reviews but this place deserves it. I was driving to the restaurant I decided to call ahead of time to see if they had a wait time, whoever answered the phone said sorry were not taking in any walk-ins. I was only two minutes decide to walk in anyway. Guess what we were seated right away. This review is not about whoever answered the phone and lied to me. This review is about the quantity of food I received and how different it was in the photo shown. This photo is someone else's posting. I ordered this assuming I was going to get the same thing shown in this photo, unfortunately I got three piece of lobster tail that were smaller than the lemon in this picture. Imagine how small that is. Looking at my plate thinking wait is this a baby lobster tail. Now the pasta was three times more so it seems like I paid $50 for pasta. Don't be fooled by other peoples photos. Oh and I'm not even going to mention the other foods we ordered. This place is way to expensive for the quantity of food you get. read more

Made a reservation on Resy on Thursday to come for lunch on a Saturday. We arrived 30 mins earlier than our reservation time and the place was already packed and pretty loud. We were seated inside by the window which had a nice view. Drink: the French martini- too sweet, too much alcohol... it didn't feel like it was shaken with ice or anything... we asked for a replacement and ordered the mule instead which was alright.... Had better drinks for $16 elsewhere. Food: Octopus and roasted lamb sandwich- they were both delicious Service: The service was extremely slow... our server never really introduced himself and didn't give us any refills.. he never checked to see how the food was.. the lamb sandwich took about 20 minutes and we were already full with the 2 octopus orders. Location: The place is very pretty but also loud. We couldn't hear the music inside. Prices: $85 for a drink, 2 appetizers and one "entree". Had better/more food with for half of that price. Definitely paid the Malibu prices. Overall: It probably would've been better during the week.. wouldn't visit again. read more

Great spot in Malibu with a beautiful outside patio. We ordered the fish with veggies and rice and Greek salad. The fish was to die for. You can easily share this plate. Definitely a must! The Greek salad was typical but complimented our lunch. I highly recommend this place. read more

I love this place! I popped in here after hunting down the Grand opening of the new Fred Segal in Malibu. This place is practically across the street from Fred Segal and there was Lively Greek music coming out from the doors. I wanted to pop in for a glass of wine and a snack. What I got was a rich experience. The musicians were Lively and the music was at a really good volume not blasting but really nice it kept my interest. I also sat at the bar next to a nice Malibu couple and we talked about their house and the fire and just life in general. I had one of the best cabernets I have had in a long time it was from a local Vineyard and it was a small batch and it was delicious. I also had an appetizers the meatballs. They were amazing and they filled me up! My friends had this flaming cheese that was quite delicious looking. The staff was really friendly and it's just a very welcoming place . I suspect that it might become one of my new regular places! ekpliktikós. ypérochos. nostimótatos. I hope those are the right translations LOL they are praise for a beautiful friendly place. read more

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to, certainly the best Greek Restaurant. Everything I've eaten here has been delicious and fresh; from the Moussaka, the Peasant Salad, to the Spanakopita, and the Lamb, to event the sides of steamed veggies and seasoned potatoes... packed with flavor! Our favorite restaurant in Malibu. The salads, dips, seafood, lamb, everything here is solid. Sometimes live music and belly dancers. A couple waiters have worked here for 20 years. One of the few restaurants in Malibu that hasn't changed. Sean the bartender will make you laugh. read more

I came into Taverna Tony on a Saturday night expecting to eat a small dinner then leave, but the ambiance paired with their delicious authentic Greek food made me feel like I had stepped right back in Greece. Their meze plate was delicious and paired with a Greek peasant salad and lamb kleftiko I was more than set for the evening. No wonder this restaurant has been around so long, the delicious food and the wonderful staff is what will forever keep people coming back for more!! read more

Horrible experience here at Taverna Tony. My waitress did not even introduce herself nor was she welcoming and friendly. When she came to take our order for drinks we asked her for a second and she took over 45 minutes to come back. Additionally, my party ordered diet cokes but we received regular cokes. This was extremely upsetting as one of my friends is a diabetic and tries to limit her sugar intake. Finally, the waitress made us tip despite the service being horrendous. Luckily though, after this horrible situation, my group and I received a call from the manager, Tatum. She was extremely understanding and kind. Because of her, I will come back to Taverna Tony's to give it a second chance! read more

terrible terrible place. I've been going here for years and lately the service has been awful. Our waitress, this curly haired middle age woman with a bunch of piercings was rude, gave us attitude and took hours to take even our drink order. She also gave us regular coke after saying we wanted diet then proceeded to tell us it was diet even though it wasn't. We talked to the hostess who said she would deal with it and fully didn't as at the end instead of letting us put our own tip she put whatever she wanted. We asked to talk to the manager and the hostess came instead and the waitress snuck up and was rolling her eyes at us. Disgusting service this place shouldn't even get one star. read more

I loved this place! Mostly for the experience. Taverna Tony's is such a wonderful place to go with a big group to have a wonderful family style meal, people watch and enjoy Greek music! The only reason I gave them 4 stars vs 5 is that I did not think the food was the best Greek good I've had. Coming from NY and living amongst Greek immigrants, I've had some of the best Greek food found in the heart of Astoria. That said, this is still wonderful for LA. P.S. the service was great!!! read more

This place looks like you stepped inside Mykonos's. I've been coming here for years, love the house dip and fresh warm complimentary bread. The waiters act as though you should be serving them and it usually takes anywhere from 15-30 minutes for someone to arrive at your table. Meals are drawn out due to the lack of service. The front desk hostess' could not be more unpleasant, dismissive, and rude. Also, the food is simply OK, nothing special, and priced exceptionally high for what it is. In terms of ambiance, the furniture is stained, mildewy, and terribly kept. The large dining room remains empty throughout the day since they don't allow computers, and everyone is crammed into a small area where "computers are allowed". Also the employees take up one of the best (more private) tables in the house with their computers and coffee (stunned by this). I spoke to a once prominent member who also canceled his membership for these same reasons. It's truly so sad to see a place with such potential, lack such basic needs.

There were a number of framed articles about the restaurant on the walls. There's a bathroom with a coded door. Inside it was large and clean. I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon. It was decent, but not sure how someone decided that it was one of the best in the area. I have a feeling that some of that decision was based on the green salsa. It was very flavorful, but personally it was too spicy for me. The bacon was nice and crispy. If I ever go back, I'll ask if they have a more mild salsa.

My biggest issue with the service is that there is a very chaotic system in place for giving out orders. Instead of doing numbers like most fast food restaurants, they take down your name and call it out when your order is ready. When we asked about our friend who ordered first but hadn't gotten her food despite everyone who ordered after her getting theirs, the employee was very defensive and short with her. My order was under the name Sam, so when they called Sam, we stood up to get our food. The woman originally had the burritos packed in to-go boxes and when she realized we were with the group sitting inside she quickly unpacked it and gave it to us on plates, but didn't specify which burrito was which. When we started eating we realized the order seemed incorrect. It wasn't until 15 minutes later that an employee came over and scolded us for getting the wrong burrito. Of course we did not purposely get the wrong order- they called our name then failed to specify what the actual burrito was when they handed it to us. We asked if we could have our actual order to-go since that was the food we wanted. She then took the 2 burritos that we originally ordered to the back with her and gave us only ONE to-go. She acted like she had gone out of her way to be kind and give us a free burrito. It seems she felt that it was our fault that there was a mix up and therefore we didn't deserve the burritos we actually ordered. In my experience with customer service (I worked in the industry for 7 years), that is NOT how you treat a paying customer after a mistake is made. All of this is to say that I won't be returning to Lily's due to the service. Besides that, the food was good and the serving size was huge.

Last Friday, I had the pleasure of dining at Taverna Tony with my friends, and it was a truly exceptional experience. Despite the restaurant being incredibly busy, we were made to feel welcomed and well-attended to from the moment we stepped in. Our server, Klodi, deserves special recognition. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. The rack of lamb was tender and flavorful, while the branzino was fresh and delicious. Don't eat here. Don't be fooled. Yes there might be a crowd, yes it's in Malibu and in a beautiful location. The waiter may tell you about there specials and you may think that sounds good. That's exactly what happened. I ordered the special. A organic wild halibut. They served a sea bass thinking we would be fooled like most people. When we called the waiter on it he was shocked and relieved. He said the owner Tony is a crook, a cheat, a liar and that he was forced to lie about the halibut. He mentioned he was waiting for Tony to get caught and get in trouble . He said they don't even carry halibut. He warned us that the owner will stop by and say he's go to excuse that he ran out of halibut and he served a chilean sea bass a more expensive fish. Something is fishy with this restaurant and owner. Strange that the waiter so disgruntled would still be working there. Is it a scam? On top of it all they would not comp our dishes for the mishap. I strongly recommend that people stay away from this restaurant. There are many sushi restaurants that serve you the wrong fish. This is not only morally wrong but criminal. read more

not impressed with tony's!! what people do not know is that they reheat the food, i was there with a friend on a sat,and even though i did not have a reservation, we were there early so they decided to give us a really bad table inside upstairs...there was no air conditioning i told them we were only going to be 45 mins to have a drink and starter, they tod us the tables were reserved...well 45 mins later we were ready to leave and half of the restaurant was still empty where we were seated with no air there were free tables near the balcony,which were still empty....and the waiters had told us he does not like to use the air conditioning to save money!!! well he did get sued for sexual harassment and lost 3 million..maybe that explaines it. about time as he has gotten away with it a few times before.....karma!!!! i feel sorry for his wife who gave him the money to open that place and treats her like crap!!! another thing... as i know a few waiters there..they had told me not to oder anything saucy,as he puts his fingers in the plate before they take it out to the customers!! read more

Just tonight, during our dinner at Taverna Tony in Malibu, Gilly the manager came out to our table and made incredibly rude remarks and even threats. Her behavior was shockingly inappropriate and unprofessional. We had a simple question about our order, and instead of addressing it politely, Gilly responded with hostility and condescension. She made snide comments and threatened to have us removed if we didn't like her answers. This level of rudeness is completely unacceptable and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Gilly's attitude and behavior are a major detriment to the restaurant. She's not just rude--she's downright hostile and unfit to be in any customer-facing role. For the sake of Taverna Tony's reputation and the comfort of its patrons, Gilly needs to be removed from this establishment immediately. We had a fantastic early dinner at Taverna Tony in Malibu--a true gem with a gorgeous, relaxing porch setting under a shaded covering. The ambiance is both vibrant and cozy, and the interior looked just as inviting for another visit. We started with their fabulous house dip and warm, crusty bread--a perfect beginning. Creamy and delicious. For the main courses, we enjoyed the grilled butterflied giant prawns, which were perfectly seasoned and tender, and the chicken oreganato, baked with lemon and garlic. Both were served with roasted vegetables and Greek potatoes, which were flavorful and satisfying. Gilly the Manager Ruins Taverna Tony I have been visiting Taverna Tony in Malibu for years, but my recent experience was the worst yet, all thanks to the manager, Gilly. Her customer service is atrocious, and her rude, dismissive attitude makes her unfit to represent any establishment, let alone one that has been a favorite of mine for so long. From the moment we arrived, Gilly's behavior was unacceptable. She was abrupt, unfriendly, and seemed annoyed by our very presence. She gave us curt responses and walked away before we could even ask any questions. It's clear she has no regard for customer satisfaction or basic manners. What was once a welcoming and enjoyable place has been tainted by Gilly's horrible attitude. Her presence alone brings down the entire experience and tarnishes the restaurant's reputation. It's incredibly disappointing to see such poor management. For the sake of the restaurant's future, I urge the owners to reconsider her position immediately. This place deserves better than Gilly. After a previous visit that didn't quite meet our expectations, Tatum, the manager, personally reached out to apologize and make things right. That gesture alone showed they truly care about their customers. We decided to give it another shot for a special occasion, and I'm so glad we did! This time, we requested specific seating in advance, and they went above and beyond to accommodate us with the perfect spot, giving us an amazing view of the band. I had always heard good things about Taverna Tony in Malibu, so I decided to celebrate a birthday there. Unfortunately, the experience was completely ruined by the manager, Gilly, whose behavior was shockingly rude and dismissive. We had reserved a table weeks in advance, specifically asking for a spot by the window to make the birthday celebration special. Upon arrival, Gilly was cold and indifferent, informing us that our requested table was not available. When we expressed our disappointment, she suggested we might be happier at another restaurant instead of making any effort to accommodate us. Her condescending attitude and complete lack of customer service were appalling. Gilly's behavior not only spoiled our birthday celebration but also left a lasting negative impression. We make reservations on 12/11/21 to this place at 7:30pm for 5 persons celebrating a birthday, no one informed us their is a time limit restriction once arriving at there doors, foods was okay music and atmosphere was good, we ordered appetizers, main dishes alcohol and dessert, the evening just started and we had a good time, the waiter ask if we wanted to order something else we said all is good and I asked for the check, I pay the bill my CC was charged, few minutes later the manager Gili approached our table and said " there is a new Covid law once you pay your bill you must leave the table " this is DISGUSTING act to tell a customer that dine at your restaurant to just leave....we still having our coffee and dessert on the table, especially when no one mentioned about any restrictions when we called in to make the reservation or when we arrived at there doors, this is BS their is no any LAW we ware checking out for hours and didn't find anything!!!!!! We had such a bad time at this restaurant. The service was so bad, and on top of bad service they were so rude to us. The owner is extremely rude, classless, and unfriendly. He acts like he doesn't need your business. He yelled at my friends for a mistake he made. The food is extremely average for the very high price they charge you. You also better like what you order, because if you don't, tough luck!!!!!!! The owner does not allow the waiters to change a dish if you don't like what you ordered, or it's not what they said it was in their specials, especially if it's a cooked dish. How absurd and terrible is that? Horrible service! We'll never ever ever go back there again. I was later informed, that some of my friends and relatives had had a similar experience there. I am so angry at myself for ever spending so much money at this place for a small family dinner, which wasn't even worth the agony we experienced at this restaurant. Never again! read more

We will never go back to this restaurant ever again. My 84 years old father in law was unhappy with his meal, simply because the dish was misleadingly named on the specials menu, so he wasn't given what he thought he was going to be served...the sweet waitress offered to change the dish, but the money-hungry cheap owner returned the plate, and told the waitress to tell them we can't change this because it's a meat item and it's already cooked...what???!!! The owner has no idea what service means! The waitress was very nice, but the service was pretty bad. It was extremely over priced for what it was. 6 people cost 400.00 dollars, and three of those people just had appetizers. I will let all my friends who go to this place from time to time to stop going there. There are plenty other wonderful Greek style restaurants in this town with much better live music and food than this. I certainly do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I'm not surprised to see so many bad reviews about Gilly, the cranky old manager at Taverna Tony in Malibu. After my own awful experience, it's clear she brings down the entire restaurant's reputation. From the moment we walked in, Gilly's sour demeanor was evident. She was rude and dismissive, making us feel unwelcome and unimportant. It was our first time visiting, and we had heard great things, but Gilly's attitude overshadowed everything. In just one night, I witnessed multiple instances of her treating customers poorly, and you could tell the staff wasn't fond of her either. Gilly's presence is a blight on what could be a wonderful dining experience. Her miserable attitude affects the entire atmosphere of the restaurant. We had a fantastic experience at Tony's Taverna! We started off by ordering a variety of appetizers and honestly, that was more than enough--we got full just off those! Everything was absolutely delicious, fresh, and packed with flavor. You can really taste the quality in every bite. We didn't even make it to the entrées this time, but that just gives us a great excuse to come back. The drinks were also excellent--well-made and perfectly paired with the food. The service was amazing from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and gave us great recommendations that really made the meal even better. The ambience was perfect. We sat out on the patio, which is beautiful and relaxing. The fresh beach air and peaceful vibe made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I took my wife there expecting it to uphold the Greek standards I am so very proud of as a Greek/American whose grown up on both the Aegean and the Pacific. To my dismay I found it to be as authentic as Olive Garden is to Italians. I overheard a waiter saying negative things about Greeks and Greece to Americans to get a better tip . I have no doubt that Tony and his family have worked very hard and hope they read this and clean house . As I sit in Athens it makes me even sadder that we were represented by some xeno with a fresh tongue , when most Greeks devote their life to making sure non Greeks see us for our beauty and passion . I can't say enough good things about Taverna Tony, this place is truly exceptional! The food is incredible (the house dip is hands-down the best I've ever had), the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is next level. What really blew me away was the honesty and kindness of the staff. I (very stupidly) left my Chanel purse, filled with all my belongings, at the restaurant and didn't realize until I was already across the country. Tatum, the amazing manager, not only kept it safe for me, she went out of her way to personally mail it back to me with everything perfectly intact. That kind of integrity and thoughtfulness is so rare, and I'm beyond grateful. Taverna Tony has won a lifelong fan, not just for the food, but for the people behind it. 10/10 recommend! read more

Everything came out quickly, and what stood out most was how everyone seemed willing to help everyone. It didn't matter whose table it was--if a customer needed something, whoever was nearby stepped in. That kind of teamwork makes a restaurant feel very well run. Great food, beautiful Malibu atmosphere, fast service, and a team that actually pays attention. Definitely coming back, except next time I'm checking the clock first so I can properly attack the full menu.

Our adult son made our reservation in Open Table and noted it was for a special occasion, a Birthday (mine). Nowadays, that note is rarely recognized by restaurants and most use Open Table for their reservations! Upon arrival at the hostess station, we were asked who's birthday and said Happy Birthday, and again by the Hostess that brought us to our table, and then by our sever. I felt so special and acknowledged! It's these small gestures that truly make the difference and a very lasting impression! Casey was our server and he was excellent. Helped to make suggestions and answer questions. Checked back often with each course to make sure everything was as expected. The other staff helping to serve and bus, very friendly and helpful. For drinks, I ordered a Mimosa and my husband and son both ordeted cappuccino, all excellent. They have an excellent cocktail and wine menu. Rolls came out piping hot, nice touch! For appetizers, we started with Crab Cakes and Heirloom Tomatoes with Burrata. Burrata is house made and it shows! Both were so good and I would highly recommend ordering. They have many great options for starters! For entrees, I ordered the Chocolate Chip Challah French Toast. It came with Chicken Sausage and Frsh Fruit. Too much to eat after appetizers (generous portions) but happily took some home. The chicken sausage was very good. First time I have had chicken sausage and liked it! Our son ordered The Eggs Benedict (with prosciutto). He lived the Hollandaise saucen had a kick. I tried his potaoes, red roasted and very good. He also had fresh fruit with his entree. It was the first time we had fruit in more than a week (the parasite scare!) and it was wonderful to have fruit one knew was freshly cut (rinds still attached) and tasted so wonderful, really missed it! My husband ordered the Hangar Steak and Eggs. He absolutely loved the steak and the accompanying Avocado Cilantro! There are so any great options for Brunch Entrees, hard to choose but think.we chose well. We had absolutely no room for dessertsn although the dessert menu looks wonderful! Birthday cake awaiting at home! Our server, Casey, brought out a scoop of Vanilla Bean, house made, with a candle. Again, very nice touch and another way to recognize my birthday! It was delicious! I have to say the crabcakes were excellent on a beautiful presentation and the dessert was absolutely delicious and that was the best part of the meal!! I don't like comparing restaurants, but at many other places we've celebrated birthdays, the staff has gone out of their way to make the guest of honor feel special. There is usually some acknowledgment, attentive service throughout the meal, and an overall experience that feels like a celebration. Sadly, none of that happened during our visit. I do want to recognize our waitress, who was the only server covering the entire patio. She worked incredibly hard and did an amazing job despite having so many tables to manage. She was not the issue. However, I was disappointed by another female staff member who was serving the black pepper. I simply asked for extra pepper on my steak, and she appeared irritated and walked away abruptly, which felt unprofessional and left a negative impression. Overall, there was nothing special about the dinner presentation or atmosphere that made my birthday feel special. For a celebration that cost nearly $500, I left feeling disappointed and wishing the experience had matched the quality of food and reputation your restaurant is known for & spending nearly $500!!

We ordered a lot of food, expecting a great meal given the prices and reviews online, and honestly left wondering how this place gets away with charging what it does. The food: well presented, but that's about where the positives end. The snow crab hand roll was shockingly bland. The yellowtail carpaccio was equally underwhelming. The miso cod was poorly balanced, and the ribs were actually burnt. Nothing we ordered made us think, "Wow, that was worth it." The service: Absolutely appalling. We asked twice for an umbrella to be moved so we could sit in the shade. Nothing happened, so we eventually moved tables ourselves. Our server asked if we wanted ice for the sparkling water. We said yes. The water arrived without ice, so she brought two glasses and proceeded to try to pour the water into our existing glasses. We ended up pouring our own water. Then came the appetizers, except we had no plates to eat them from. When we asked for plates, the reaction made it seem like we'd asked for something completely bizarre. Rather than bringing them over, she stopped to clear another table and eventually returned with the plates. By the time we could actually eat properly, the food was getting cold. Our kids were literally eating food off napkins. Wasabi and ginger didn't arrive until we were halfway through our main course. There are plenty of restaurants with beautiful views where you'll actually get good food and competent service. Save yourself the money and the frustration. Go somewhere else. A beautiful view cannot compensate for mediocre food, burnt dishes, and service this poor. One of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had in a long time.

From the warm, friendly staff and service to the beautiful decor and of course the delicious food, it went beyond a meal; it was an experience unlike any I've had in a quite while. HIGHLY recommend the barbari, smoked eggplant (grateful to our server for recommending this one!), and smoked saffron tahdig -- although it doesn't seem like you can go wrong with anything on this menu. Nowhere on their website or phone tree did they say they were having a Mother's Day menu that deviates from their regular menu. Regardless, when we arrived, the restaurant was mostly empty and the staff were pretty unwelcoming. They barely even acknowledged guests had arrived and were waiting to be seated. Once we finally were approached, they took us to a tiny table pressed against a wall in a high traffic area. 90% of the restaurant was empty! Naturally, we asked for a different table and they said we could only sit outside. Um, okay. Already I was irritated before even ordering anything. We proceeded to go outside and sit at a table only to get a menu that was a Mother's Day menu with barely any Persian options on it. No kabob, nothing. When the waitress returned we asked why it wasn't shown to us anywhere that there's a different than normal menu. Needless to say we left without ordering and went to another Persian restaurant in the area for actual kabob. After this experience, I'm not sure I want to give it another chance. I'll pass on this. There's no shortage of Persian options in LA that are hospitable to their guests, delicious and consistent.
