My husband got the lamb gyro and I got the chicken pesto. Both were good- the meat was well seasoned and tender, the sauces had lots of flavor. I struggled to decide which one was better honestly, they were both good. The cucumber salad and pasta salad were both sprinkled with feta cheese, and they were also served with a side of chips (which I didn't care for). Service at the counter was quick and friendly. For having spent my entire life in Colorado, there sure are a lot of super rad places I'm just recently discovering... and Taziki's is definitely one of them. BF and I hit this place up after a workout just down the street on a Saturday afternoon. We got in around 11:45 or so, but the lunch crowd hadn't yet arrived (yay!); parking was pretty busy for the other local eateries, so finding a spot in the shared lot took some time, but we managed to survive and make our way in to feast. The whole restaurant had a nest feel to it, and had really cool decorations. The ambiance was super mellow, and it was actually a little dim, which was quite calming; it totally didn't feel busy or part of the hustle and bustle that was happening just outside. It was its own little bubble. The menu was pretty big, so it made choosing a meal a little tough for me (but I also take forever to decide what I want, anyway, so I guess it's just a personal problem lol), but I settled on a grilled chicken gyro and chose their tomato and cucumber salad as my side. Since we were in for lunch, the meal came with potato chips, too. My love opted for the lamb gyro and chose rice as his side. We paid (came out to about $25, give or take), took our number, and found a cozy booth to post up in until our food came out. We weren't sitting for long when the sweet girl from the front brought out our lunch. It looked awesome! The presentation was so clean, and everything looked super yummy. I started with the salad, which was bomb. It was very refreshing, and tasted like it was super fresh, despite many of the ingredients being pickled lol. BF let me try a bite of his rice, too, and OMG. It was absolutely delicious! Somehow, the rice was buttery, but really fluffy and cooked to perfection. Super yum. Potato chips are pretty much potato chips wherever you go, but they weren't stale, so I appreciated that! Now on to the gyro. Packed full with fresh marinated chicken, tzaziki sauce, lettuce, tomato, and so on, it was BOMB. The pita was super warm, and the whole gyro was wrapped in deli paper, which made eating it a lot less messy than some other I've had in my life lol. BF loved his, too, and managed to eat the whole dang thing; I got about 1/3 of the way through and had to call it quits. Definitely worth every penny! I'd have made two full meals out of this, so you absolutely get what you pay for, in my opinion. Just as we were finishing up, the dining area began to fill up rather quickly. If I could give it 3.5, I would. The food seemed really average. When the best response to an item is "not bad" or "interesting", it's telling. We placed an order in the evening at the restaurant for carry out. We waited about 20 minutes for it. Not terrible but there weren't many other people there either. The whipped feta was the most interesting option. It comes with pita (or veggies for an up charge) and honey. The Mediterranean salad had some wilted/slimy pieces of lettuce that had to be picked out. Never sets a great tone when that happens. The veggie gyro was not bad, but also not super exciting. It came with a side of some generic chips (Lays?) and a side of choice. The basmati rice had something mixed in that was not anticipated, and we think it was vinegar but not sure. The baklava was hard and chewy but had great flavor. Maybe it had been sitting out for several hours. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be returning. read more

My fiancé also enjoyed his gyro sandwich. The restaurant is clean and service was really good. Only downside is it took about 10-15 minutes to get our food. However it was busy and when we placed our order, we were told it would take a while. also wish they didn't serve their drinks in styrofoam cups. They're usually very nice people and service is usually wonderful but not consistent here but tonight was different. Their food isn't terrible. I just now had one of the worst delivery experiences. We ordered a lot of food for delivery, a lot of dip and extra pita. They didn't give us any pita and when I called they said they didn't have any drivers to send us pita so we had 7 different humus dips with nothing to eat it with. We wanted to go to that Burger establishment next door, but it was jam packed and since Hubs does not want to wait, we "settled" for this establishment instead. YES, its a CHAIN. Yes, you order thru the Counter just like you order thru Chipotle etc. This recent visit was on Sunday January 4th 2015. Time was about 14:18hrs. It was a LATE LUNCH for us. From their Simple Menu we opt to order the following items : * Lamb Gyro with Basmati Rice ($9.99) * Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Roasted Potatoes ($11.79) * Fountain Coke Cola ($2.29) The staff gave us one of the "TOKEN". We went to find our own seats, (booth seats) while waiting for our order to be ready. Then one of the staffs, sent our order in which luckily we checked our receipts, coz they sent the wrong order to our table. *SIGH* In terms of pricing and portions, it was slightly NOT to our liking, aka Skimpy coz Hubs do not fancy his order of Grilled Beef Tenderloin. Very Americanized Mediterranean. We got the chicken and the lamb gyros. The lamb one was OK the chicken was as tough as old boot straps.The taziki sauce was sour. Potatoes were good, not great! The tomato/cucumber salad could have used some feta cheese. The potato chips were a mismatched, and tacky side dish. They were out of Dr. Pepper. The employee came to ask how everything was. Who doesn't love a Gyro now and then? I came across this establishment a few years ago and decided to take my mom here. My first visit was okay, nothing bad happened but nothing great either. I do like their variety of selections, from chicken to shrimp and even salmon. Of course they have lamb! My mom LOVES Baklava, so I get her some each time I come here. My most recent visit was this past Sunday, September 1st and it was National Gyro Day!!! I decided to get two original Gyro's. Their sides are authentic too. I like the pasta salad. A favorite is the Taziki dip with soft bread (reminds me of Naan). I loved their soft chocolate chip cookies too. As for drinks, it's your typical soda's. I think they may have lemonade. They do have some beer and wine, it is limited. It's also on the authentic side because NONE were sweet. A preference of mine. I wished they had a better selection for drinks. Overall a nice meal and very filling. Parking can be a pain when this plaza is busy. The seating is spacious but it can also get busy and loud. I liked the outdoor seating, though many don't choose this option. Lastly, you can earn "stars" with purchases to receive $$$ off towards food. Just need to sign up with your email/phone number. Not the best gyros I've ever had, that distinction goes to whoever makes the gyros at Fiddler's Green. However, these will do. Meat is flavorful and not bland, staff is friendly and makes sure your glass is full. The baklava is pretty good too! I ordered the "favorite/popular" item (lamb gyro with 2 sides) as I even asked the cashier what their most popular item is (who btw looks like he doesn't care to be there). I got charged extra for subbing the potato chips for grilled potato even though both are listed as "healthy sides" - that in itself is a joke lol. This is probably the worst Greek food I've ever had. 2 stars for the cleanliness and servers service. 0 stars for the food and cashier service. The lamb was fatty and isn't your typical shaved off lamb...it was like tiny pieces of lamb similar to fajita strips with a bunch of gristle! Terrible- not what I was expecting at all. And on top of that- most of the filling was lettuce, sauce, and tomatoes- hardly any meat. So I just felt like I ate a mini salad wrapped in pita since 90% of the meat was fat and there wasn't much of it to begin with. You could tell the side tomato and cucumber salad weren't fresh and the side potatoes were tough and chewy. Ugh...total letdown especially from a girl who always tries to convince her boyfriend to eat Mediterranean.
