As someone who gets boba frequently at different areas, the flavor for this place was pretty bland and a little different than the normal flavor. I normally get 75%-80% sweetness because I don't like my tea very sweet, but I should have just gotten 100%. That was my bad because I never tried the place, but the tea would not be sweet enough without the 100%. The Thai tea was 100% sweet, but it was still somewhat bland and a little too sweet. I love that there's a great boba place in Moreno Valley, near my parents' place. They always come here and my favorite drink is the Strawberry Lover, it's refreshing and has lots of strawberries. I've tried a few of the galaxy teas and it's definitely and IG-aesthetic drink but it didn't taste different between the different fruit flavors. The crystal boba is a family favorite as well. I want to try some of their other drinks. It does get crowded though and one time, I couldn't do a phone order because it gets too busy. read more

Look no further, this is the boba (bubble-tea) spot you should try in Moreno Valley. I've gone to plenty of boba spots, particularly near UCR and this place for sure made my top 5 list. As of writing this review, they are currently limiting 6 guests inside their business at a time and all orders must be taken to go. The menu has many drink options including all of the boba classics as well as there own signature drinks that taste and look great. The drinks come in a unique clear cup and the drinks themselves are aesthetically pleasing to look at. Many, if not all, drinks have a dairy free option so this spot is for you if you are lactose intolerant. I ordered the: 1. TBH Dirty Milk Tea (w/ honey boba & Pudding) 2. Thai Milk Tea (w/ honey boba) 3. Elote (corn) cup. Every thing was really good and the drinks were not too sweet but not bland either. The elote cup was great and had a lot of parmesan, which I like. All in all, Tea Be Honest is a great (likely family owned) small business in Moreno Valley. As far as I'm aware, there aren't many dedicated boba shops in Moreno Valley and I'm happy that this place does it so well. The drinks aren't bad if you're craving boba and don't feel like driving to the better boba area's like Rowland Heights or OC area. My problem was that, there is about a 20-25 min wait for orders and you could see the two owners behind the curtain doing nothing while the two male employees are hard at work in the front. Wish the owners would take it upon themselves to help the employees when there is a clear line and wait. All you have on your menu are drinks. You don't have to prepare any hot foods. Hubby ordered an XL Taro Hokkaido slush w/boba and I got the regular Lavendar Milk Tea w/boba, both at 50% sweetness (you can request how much sweetness you'd like in your drinks ). Verdict: Hubby says he really enjoyed his drink. I loved mine too. The cups in regular and XL size are of really good quality plastic. Our drinks stayed cold throughout the ride back home. Overall, our experience was very good and you can bet on us becoming repeat customers. I've been here more than a dozen times. And TBH, after trying all kinds of boba places in different cities and states.. I want to say this is one of my top 3 favorite boba places. No lie. I'm being honest. And that's probably how they got the name. Tea Be Honest, get it?? TBH?! I couldn't really tell you when the best walk-in hours are.. this place is pretty small so there is almost always a line. A long line tells me that it's worth the wait. PROS: For MoVal, I'd say this place is pretty damn good. I'm talking about the taste of the teas and the actual boba. The boba is cooked to perfection. It has the perfect squish and the perfect bounce. IYKYK. The teas are so delicious. They have a pretty large selection from fruit teas to milk teas. I usually stick to the milk teas and I haven't had any complaints about the flavors at all. The sweetness can be adjusted! I also think their cups are aesthetically appealing. You can reuse it if you'd like. It's prob the bulk of what you're paying for. Great cups make for great drinks #CHEERS! CONS: On the other hand... I knocked off 1 star because I think this place can better adjust their work flow. Have you ever tried placing a phone order? Well, if you dare, there really isn't anything beneficial about ordering ahead. 1) Depending on who answers, they can take your order and you can pay at pick-up (I'm not too sure what the limit is). The only problem with this is with 1 register...you still have to wait in-line to pick up an order you have placed ahead of time. Now, that's crazy! If you try to jump the line.. you get looks from walk-in customers. 2) Depending on who answers, you can order and pay by phone. The only issue with that is you have to verbally tell them all your debt/credit card info over the phone so they can key it in the register. Unless you don't care about your own privacy.. I don't think that should ever be allowed. One remedy to this madness is to create a website where you can place the order and pay online and bypass the crazy line. This will prob bring in even more revenue, more business and most importantly...happy customers. Trust me I've waited in that line a few times. It ain't cool. But then again, you get super yummy boba. Another suggestion would be to hire more peeps. I get that sometimes multi-tasking is good.. but not for a business who is in great demand. There should be 1 person at the register at all times! I always see a worker taking the order, helping make the order, and answering the phone. There should be a few tea makers/baristas so that they can keep up with the demand. Overall, I highly recommend this place. I've brought in friends and family who aren't from the local area.. and they too have enjoyed it as much as I have. read more
