The baked goods are to die for and then there are the healthier options (soaked chia seeds & oats topped with yummy mix of tropical fruits + berries) so you don't feel too guilty. I tried this for the first time today. First of all - the place is adorable. Upon entry you have a cozy atmosphere and great seating options. I had the chia and fruit breakfast which was super yummy if you want something healthy and not heavy. I also had a latte with coco milk and it was also amazing! Selectively nice to people. Not kid or service dog friendly. Before I could even order the owner was eyeing me out because I had my service dog with me. I'm 8months pregnant and got dropped off in that subdivision because my boyfriend had the vehicle for work today. I was waiting for my hair appointment in the area and had an hour to spare. I thought oh I'd sit outside the tea shop get some food and read my book and journal while I waited. before I could order she was telling me my dog couldn't be there and asked if I was ordering to go or staying in a rude tone. I said I'm ordering for here but I don't mind sitting outside.(there's only one table outside) she continued to go on about why my dog couldn't be there when there's a "service dogs are welcome" sign at the door. Her manner was rude and continued to make me feel like I wasn't welcomed. I said okay, I'll sit outside it's no problem (again) but my dog is a service so you know and even a customer committed on how well behaved my dog was. she continued to keep going by saying well he doesn't have his vest on. When I had his card, I told her I've never heard that before and my dog gained some Covid weight so his vest doesn't fit lol but I've never had this problem before. I went to show her my card but she refused to even look at it. She told me even if he is a service dog he needs to have his vest if he's in a food establishment his ID doesn't count. She said she talked to the health department about it. I've worked in the food industry for awhile and thought oh maybe the rules have changed? I called after walking out.....as long as I have some type of proof it's fine. I reassured her by saying okay I understand like I said before I don't mind sitting outside. At this point I was irritated because I already stated from the beginning I don't mind sitting outside and she just kept going. She says okay, I order and turn around and someone's at the only table outside. I had to come back in to buy water because sitting in sun was getting too hot for me and my dog. which they could clearly see and didn't care. I made a comment when I bought the water that I had to wait in the sun and got dropped off. No one would even look at me or respond. I was completely ignored. I wanted to ask for my money back it's the only place to get water or food in that subdivision. Sandwich spot wasn't open yet. Her attitude was harsh and rude from the beginning and in the end my dog is a service dog, I don't see the problem why it makes such a difference if his vest is on or not and how that effects her establishment so much. I hate to be as spiteful as too sue them, but the fact that u had to be that mean and deny a pregnant women and make her sit in the sun on the ground is pretty harsh. I'll never be going there again. Might sue, I recorded her saying my dog wasn't welcomed because he didn't have a vest and wouldn't look at his certificate ID. Never been treated so poorly. also have heard from a few other ppl that it's not a kid friendly place but also hear how nice the owner is. So maybe she has something against people with kids? Or hawaiian locals? Or dogs? I don't know but I literally sat outside crying because I had to sit in the sun in the parking lot basically on a rock on the ground for so long, and being 8 months pregnant feeling over heated isn't fun. Thought I was going to pass out and wasnt feeling good. also my breakfast ham and cheese croissant was served cold which I thought was odd but I guess that's how it's served. wasn't very good and I didn't want to ask them to toast it because I was already being ignored and hated on. read more

I love coming to this cute little hideaway! Whenever I'm on island, I make sure to pop in for at least a couple of visits. The little euro country vibe belies its nondescript exterior. And the woman that I believe is the owner (one with the accent) is always very friendly and welcoming. I love their chia and oats like LOVE it love it! And their salads are also quite good. Extremely poor customer service. Stopped in at 10:10am for tea and a croissant (that they just needed to grab from inside the glass case, no cooking or preparation required). Finally got my order and just left 30 minutes later (10:41 at the time of this writing). Many patrons came in behind me and were serviced before me with custom orders and things to prepare (i.e. ham and cheese croissants, drinks that needed more preparation than steeping tea). I watched as they came in after me, most of them asking if I was waiting in line as I was standing there for almost half an hour, they placed their orders, and got their food/drinks and left all the while I was still waiting. I understand being busy and if my order was complicated, but to grab an almond croissant from the glass case should not take longer than a few seconds, much less 30 minutes. Very disappointed with the customer service. Normally I am very understanding of workers in the food industry (check my previous Yelp reviews), but this was unacceptable. The good news is that if you're a regular, you will likely have a much better experience at Tea:Licious with being able to jump to the front of the line and get your order before non-regular customers who have paid and are waiting. Earlier this trip I got food poisoning, but sad to say that ended up being only the second worst food related experience I had on Hawaii. read more

This place was such a diamond in the rough. We went in search of early morning coffee and food since our kids woke up so much earlier than our hosts. We chose this place because it was the only place open and I am so glad for that! It is in a strip mall that might trick you into thinking that it's not super great. It is definitely super great. The owner(I'm assuming) was warm and welcoming to our pajama clad crew and we ordered a drip coffee, mocha, ham and cheese croissant, fruit parfait, two lemon danishes and a strawberry mascarpone cake. Everything was so amazing. The pastry tasted freshly made and was so flaky and tender. The parfait was a perfect balance of sweet and tart and there was a huge variety of fruit on the top. The mocha was maybe the best I have ever had. They also had a little kids corner with toys and a chalkboard. Couldn't have been more happy with the experience. Of course, I had to have tea so I tried the green tea mojito which was light, flavorful, and refreshing. I'd describe the watermelon, cucumber, onion, and feta salad the same - refreshing and tasty! I ordered a small which was the perfect side with the prosciutto and Parmesan sandwich. When I asked for a substitute for olives (I don't eat them) I was pleasantly surprised that they were more than happy to accommodate that... I opted for cucumbers. The sandwich was fairly light and super delicious! Definitely what I was looking for - something filling but not greasy or heavy. My husband and I were looking for a cup of coffee before heading to the airport to fly home, and I was skeptical of going to a tea shop for coffee, but so glad we did! My husband got a tart that was fresh out of the oven, buttery and crispy, with a heavenly custard inside, and I had a ham and cheese croissant that had high quality ingredients and a very tasty whole grain mustard. Heard about this cafe from the wonderful ladies at Harajuku Beauty Lounge and decided to check it out! The location is conveniently located in town and had ample parking. I had the German breakfast with coffee and everything was beyond delicious and fresh! Service was quick and I was able to enjoy my breakfast while curled up in the cafes comfy, oversized sitting chairs along with a book from the well stocked bookshelf. I had such a great time that I returned a few weeks later with my 7 year old daughter in tow! My daughter and I split a German breakfast and we took Yvonne's suggestion of strawberry tea (caffeine free) and vanilla infused tea (caffeine free) as we could not decided between the two! The cafe provides a big bin of Legos that kept my daughter throughly entertained while we sipped (pinky up) our tea and enjoyed the delicious meats, fresh vegetables and fruits, and munched on the right out of the oven bread!
