3 stars for coffee and 5 for service so I settled on 4 stars. The coffee was so watered down and weak in flavor. To be fair, it is a tea house so maybe improve coffee or ditch altogether? The inside is so adorable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My favorite were the gratitude journals where anyone can express their gratitude.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cukoo clocks were super cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is the cutest little tea gem in Kona! Perfect place to unwind with delicious desserts and tea. No Wi-Fi, so choose to drink tea with your thoughts, read, or bring a friend/date to enjoy with. They have a large selection of teas to choose from, coffee, desserts, breakfast, lunch items. Service was quick and friendly. Ambiance is definitely on point with Victorian style decorations. My favorite dessert was definitely the Portuguese tart. That crackly top was so great to bite into. We got one of their local teas grown on Big Island. Even comes with some honey and milk to add! There's free parking outside too! Will definitely be back next time I'm in Kona :)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cute cafe - and delicious food![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't get over the hats on our eggs. Service was kind and laid back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is the kind of place you can spend an hour at to clear your head, just breathing and sipping your drink.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were playing holiday music too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    boba tea

Gave me a normal straw and a spoon for a drink with boba. According to an employee, the owner doesn't order items until they are completely out, it's ridiculous.

What a feast! The breakfast was enough to feed two people and came with orange juice as well! Their coffee and pastries are also amazing.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great food and quaint decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff were friendly and helpful at answering questions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The AC is cold and they have lots of books to enjoy while you are there as well as coloring books.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I don't know where the people whose reviews mentioned poor service are coming from. I have NEVER experienced that here, & I come almost every year. I was there this morning and, as always in my experience, it was a little oasis of calm civility & wonderful food & ambiance. They were busy, but everyone was prompt, polite, cheerful & accurate with my order (which was eat in and take out. All I can say is go, you won't be sorry!

Such a great spot by our hotel! We searched for coffee and this place was a short walk away. It's in a little shopping plaza at the corner. Cute decor. Out front is a small shaded seating area. Inside are several lovely spots to sit and relax. There's also tea for sale and cute pottery items. We got the matcha latte with honey and an iced kona coffee with oat milk. Very good quality. The girl who served us was so nice and helped with our order since it was our first time there. There's a gratitude journal at front table - love the personal touches.

Ham croissant, iced latte, hot coffee

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place was really cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got a hot coffee and an iced latte. My iced latte was more like an iced coffee with a lot of milk. The employees were really nice.

Beautiful place. Incredibly friendly staff. It was packed, but as soon as someone got up, she said, "There's a spot over there!" How observant and helpful!!!! I had the fog cinnamon Chai tea, which was excellent, the ham and cheese on a croissant (life changing), and the desert fruit roll with whipped cream. I probably won't do the desert next time, but I'm definitely coming back for another Chai tea and ham and cheese. Yum!!!!! 10/10

Do the sell individual slices of cake?

I've tried to come by this place 5 times in the past 2 weeks. Always closed when I arrive. When exactly are you open?

Normal hours are 6am-4pm. But if in doubt, just call them and confirm they are there and open. Much easier to make a phone call than to drive all the way there to look.

Vanilla latte was way too sweet (personally) but I did add vanilla syrup and cold foam so that's on me. Just didn't taste much of the coffee. Biscuits and gravy were delicious and the pork had amazing flavor. Waffle was a little dried out (we sent it back due to it not being crispy enough and we believe they just reheated the waffle). But the flavor was still good with the macadamia nuts and bananas The Bloody Mary was great, however, they could do with a little more spice and a little more tomato base. As far as bloody Mary's go, this was on the weaker side. Loved the Black Sea salt rim. Shoutout to our server, Terri, who was fabulous the whole time.

We ordered green salad as the sides and they were really good . Mixed greens, no iceberg, served with a tasty balsamic vinaigrette. The fish sandwich wasn't great. We' chose the seared ahi. It was cooked completely through, which was probably a good thing because it was FAR from fresh--extremely "fishy." We've had a lot of ahi that past two weeks and this was the worst. Service was friendly and prompt, although it was clear we arrived at the end of our server's shift. We' were handed the check when we were nowhere near finished with our sandwiches. This wasn't a huge issue for us, but some people might feel put off by that. Cleanliness was still an issue--the tables really be a good deep cleaning. You can't beat the view! There was construction right out front this time (not the restaurant's fault)) but at least it was interesting

The overall experience felt lively and relaxed, and even the little geckos running along the railing trying to sneak a sip of syrup added a fun, memorable touch. That said, the food didn't live up to the setting. While everything tasted fresh and the presentation (especially the avocado toast) was beautiful, it was surprisingly lacking in flavor. It honestly felt like the island ran out of salt and seasoning--very bland for how fresh it was. To begin, the greeting from Richard was welcoming, informative, and made us feel like we were visiting long-missed family friends. Once seated, the ambiance was open and comfortable, and of course, the view is beautiful. Our server, CC, was genuinely friendly and efficient despite being the only server on the floor AND shadow training a new server as well. She is skilled managing the floor! Now, as to the food.....I cannot praise it enough. The Brunch menu had a variety of options that made our choices difficult. We opted for the Lilikoi French Toast and it was fabulous. Truly memorable. We also tried the Banana Bread and it was heavenly. We were told that the everything on menu is house made, and I can say that this level of care shows. While we didn't get the chance to try any other menu items, we did watch the Salmon Eggs Benedict being served to several diners near us - it was a beautifully plated dish and we overheard rave reviews. Adding to the comfort was a musician playing guitar and singing beautifully. Frequently, he shared interesting local tidbits and stories about the songs he chose. Our party agreed that returning to Kalikala Cuisine is an absolute MUST when we get back to Kona. A big Hell Ya!

Kona Coffee & Tea was the place of choice here in Kailua-Kona. Located at the Kona Coast Shopping Center, you can find this little coffee shop just next door from KFC. The coffee shop is easy to find, as other business surrounding this business is the KTA Superstore, Hele Gas Station, HFS Federal Credit Union, O'Reilly Auto Parts, as well as many numerous eateries. In terms of atmosphere, Kona Coffee & Tea has plenty of seating outdoors around the porch and a few high tables indoor, where they have AC blasting at full strength. Let's start with the sandwiches. The Hawaiian bread is absolutely incredible. Soft, slightly sweet, fresh, and honestly the best sandwich bread I've ever had. Every bite made me wonder why every sandwich in the world isn't served on Hawaiian bread. Then came the pizza. Authentic, artisan island flavor with a homemade crust that tasted like it had been infused with fresh rosemary and other garden herbs. The pineapple and ham tasted wonderfully fresh, making the classic Hawaiian pizza feel like it was invented right here. And then there's the balcony.
