3 stars for coffee and 5 for service so I settled on 4 stars. The coffee was so watered down and weak in flavor. To be fair, it is a tea house so maybe improve coffee or ditch altogether? The inside is so adorable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My favorite were the gratitude journals where anyone can express their gratitude.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cukoo clocks were super cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is the cutest little tea gem in Kona! Perfect place to unwind with delicious desserts and tea. No Wi-Fi, so choose to drink tea with your thoughts, read, or bring a friend/date to enjoy with. They have a large selection of teas to choose from, coffee, desserts, breakfast, lunch items. Service was quick and friendly. Ambiance is definitely on point with Victorian style decorations. My favorite dessert was definitely the Portuguese tart. That crackly top was so great to bite into. We got one of their local teas grown on Big Island. Even comes with some honey and milk to add! There's free parking outside too! Will definitely be back next time I'm in Kona :)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cute cafe - and delicious food![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't get over the hats on our eggs. Service was kind and laid back. boba tea

Gave me a normal straw and a spoon for a drink with boba. According to an employee, the owner doesn't order items until they are completely out, it's ridiculous.

What a feast! The breakfast was enough to feed two people and came with orange juice as well! Their coffee and pastries are also amazing.

I don't know where the people whose reviews mentioned poor service are coming from. I have NEVER experienced that here, & I come almost every year. I was there this morning and, as always in my experience, it was a little oasis of calm civility & wonderful food & ambiance. They were busy, but everyone was prompt, polite, cheerful & accurate with my order (which was eat in and take out. All I can say is go, you won't be sorry!

Such a great spot by our hotel! We searched for coffee and this place was a short walk away. It's in a little shopping plaza at the corner. Cute decor. Out front is a small shaded seating area. Inside are several lovely spots to sit and relax. There's also tea for sale and cute pottery items. We got the matcha latte with honey and an iced kona coffee with oat milk. Very good quality. The girl who served us was so nice and helped with our order since it was our first time there. There's a gratitude journal at front table - love the personal touches.

Ham croissant, iced latte, hot coffee

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place was really cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got a hot coffee and an iced latte. My iced latte was more like an iced coffee with a lot of milk. The employees were really nice.

Beautiful place. Incredibly friendly staff. It was packed, but as soon as someone got up, she said, "There's a spot over there!" How observant and helpful!!!! I had the fog cinnamon Chai tea, which was excellent, the ham and cheese on a croissant (life changing), and the desert fruit roll with whipped cream. I probably won't do the desert next time, but I'm definitely coming back for another Chai tea and ham and cheese. Yum!!!!! 10/10

Do the sell individual slices of cake?

I've tried to come by this place 5 times in the past 2 weeks. Always closed when I arrive. When exactly are you open?

Normal hours are 6am-4pm. But if in doubt, just call them and confirm they are there and open. Much easier to make a phone call than to drive all the way there to look.

Came back a few more times since it's so good and their lattes are very consistent! We also tried their vegan chocolate croissant. They helped us warm up the croissant, but it was still cold on the inside (the chocolate filling and bottom side of the pastry). That was a bit disappointing, but it still tasted good and probably would have been even better thoroughly warmed! (The ice cream is NOT vegan for those wondering if it's vegan ice cream. We inquired since they don't serve cow milk in their coffees, so we thought maybe their ice cream was so vegan.)

I replied, "You're definitely not from here." He said " Yes" It's a joke.

Their customer service reply really made up for the previous experience with their staff and they ensured me they would address the issue with their team. :) Old review: I visited the Gypsea Gelato in Kona today and was extremely disappointed with the service. I ordered a single scoop child's cone and was told "We only have our Ube waffle cones, we are out of the rest... but don't worry they don't really taste like ube". I said ok, that should be fine since my daughter wants a cone. When I get to the register, after they had already filled her cone, I was told the price was $8.50 for the child's size ice cream and charged an additional $3 for their "specialty cone". Prior to choosing the cone, I was not told anything about it costing $3 additional dollars. Nor that a kids size scoop for that cone would be $8.50 when it should usually be $4.99. So I paid $11.50 for a child's ice cream. When I brought my concern up to the 3 teenagers working there, they all made me feel as though I was in the wrong for not knowing my child's cone would be $11.50. One of the staff checked to see if there was a price on the front of the sample cone thinking she could rub that in my face but there was no price shared. So, I had literally no way of knowing how much I would end up paying until it was too late and no apology or kindness was shown whatsoever. Another staff member said "we aren't in charge of what they give us"... and to that I say, that doesn't absolve you from sharing the price of this speciality option -which again, was the only cone option offered. Had I known I would be paying $11.50 for a child's cone, we would have happily ordered the $4.99 cup. I'd appreciate if the manager would get in touch with me -not so much for the outrageous cost but more for the fact that their staff provided such poor service in not sharing the price, and not trying to kindly resolve the issue.

Service was friendly and prompt, although it was clear we arrived at the end of our server's shift. We' were handed the check when we were nowhere near finished with our sandwiches.
