A couple things that stood out from this place were definitely the decorations like the huge bear bricks, the truck inside the store with snacks available to purchase, and the claw machine (if you buy a drink or a snack you get 2 free tries!). My friends got the melon yogurt and the brown sugar. The melon yogurt is pretty interesting as I've never had the combo before! The brown sugar milk tea doesn't wow me and had no strong taste to it. I think they must have mixed up the order because parts of it were extremely spicy! If they had toned down the spice, it would have been pretty good. It bordered on *almost* being too sweet, but luckily wound up being a workable level of sweetness for me. The boba had a good amount of chew, wasn't too soft. I LOVED my drink. I've been thinking about it since I got it last weekend and wanting another. Only a couple of minor complaints: - It's no secret that claw games are rigged against the player, but the ones here felt egregiously bad. The claws were visibly flimsy and junky; except for the very lightest plushies, there's no way those claws can actually grab anything. Since the tokens come with your purchase I didn't feel too bad losing, but the claws should definitely be adjusted to be a fairer experience. Cute looking machines on the outside, but total token pits. - The cashier was a super nice guy with a good sense of humor, but I was a little put off by his "One, two, **** you" tee. I'm no prude and I certainly don't shy away from cussing, but there's a time and a place and your shift at the boba shop that has a ton of little kids in it with their parents doesn't seem like the right time or place. Even as an adult, it was weird reading his shirt as I walked up and then placing an order; like, is my business valued or should I just go **** off like the shirt says? I get it, this place gets a ton of 20-somethings that don't care about that kind of thing and probably love it. But a little class goes a long way. While visiting from VA, we saw this boba shop popped up on our yelp. We tried it and loved it! The staff were incredibly friendly! So friendly that my husband and I had to do a double take. It felt like we were in a dream. After placing our order, the cashier gave us tokens to play the claw machine or arcade machine. The kids loved it. They had something to do while we wait for our order. Our order is a bit weird and a little complicated. One kid just wanted cotton candy while the other just wanted plain boba. Decided to check this spot out with a friend, since this shop was a middle point for us. Parking lot is spacious with plenty of parking. The shop was so cute! There is a cow decorated truck with a variety of snacks, claw machines and arcade machines. There was a promo or not sure if it's a regular thing, but we were given a token for each item that we bought. The tokens were for the machines. We ordered 2 Creme Brulee Milk Teas, Garlic Parmesan Fries and Popcorn chicken. My friend and I really enjoyed the snacks, but we thought our drinks were ok. We did adjust the sugar level and it was our first time here, so maybe the sugar level we ordered was too low for our liking. The manager was super friendly! Tea Moment is such a cute shop! It's evident that they invested a lot of time and money to make their shop feel cozy and a place where you'd like to lounge around. They have claw machines, arcade video games, snacks and tea! With each drink or snack item, they'll give you a free token to play the games, and each subsequent coin is $1. I think their drinks can be more flavorful. They were a bit light in terms of flavor, but was adequately sweet and you can taste the tea. The pineapple fruit tea tasted like real pineapple but I just wish that it was stronger in flavor. The same goes for the lychee. Overall, the owners are so incredibly sweet and they even walked our drinks to us while we were waiting versus just leaving the drinks at the front and waiting for us to grab them. My mission for best boba continues... We came across this aesthetically-pleasing shop on a Sunday. It didn't seem busy at all, until closer to when we left. The cashier said I could just order on the machine, which was really convenient. The concept of this place is so cute for younger ones. The arcade kept my 6-year-old busy for sure. After waiting for a long time...I mean a long time, we finally got our drinks. While we were waiting, the place was filled with people in their 20s who were there for a car meet-up. That was cool, but then it got really busy. Since we only ordered drinks, I can't speak to their snack options. I got me a hot Ube taro latte with boba since it was a cold day. I asked for 50% sweet, but it was way too sweet, so maybe they forgot? I think if it was less sweet, I would have enjoyed it more. Great little boba shop with games, cranes, and plenty of snacks! We noticed this boba shop was new and decided to look it up on Yelp. When looking it up on Yelp, we noticed that there were a bunch of menu options and the interior looked really cool, the perfect place to hang out with friends or even family! When we got to the place, we noticed that there were actually not very many people inside. There was maybe one couple playing a game together and one or two other people having a drink. The interior is really cool so I was super surprised that it wasn't busier! During our first visit, it was cold and rainy outside so I was looking for a hot drink. They do have a separate section of hot drinks with plenty of options! I ordered a hot brown sugar milk tea with less sugar and it was pretty good. The second time we visited, I ordered a pineapple fruit tea and it was not great. I'm thinking it was probably because pineapples were not in season at this time. Some other things we ordered were popcorn chicken and then we ended up also ordering an egg waffle. The popcorn chicken was really good and it didn't take too long to wait for it like other boba shops. I got a mocha egg waffle and a honeydew egg waffle and both were really good! I don't think I've seen a mocha egg waffle or honeydew egg waffle at any other shop before, so that was a nice new option. They also have a little snack van that I believe was imported and it displays a bunch of different snacks that you can purchase. There's also crane machines and arcade games that can be played! I waited for 7 minutes for my classic boba milk tea, when there were only 4 people total in the shop, and y he quality of boba deserves a wait time of at most 1 minute. - The order system is very bad. I went there, there was a group of 3 people in front of me, chatting with the assistant. I ordered and paid via the kiosk. Around 1 minute later, that group of people finally finished their order, but their number is in front of mine. - There were two people working at that time, but they didn't start making the boba until everyone has finished order. - I paid at 8:23pm. I waited there. At 8:28pm, they finally finished the boba for that group of 3 (who actually paid after me). I waited till 8:29, and they still haven't finished my boba. So I went to the counter, the woman was very impatient, saying that there're 3 boba in front of mine, continue saying that mine is almost ready. - I need to take the dance class at 8:30pm, so I asked for a refund. Both the man and the woman said that my drink is almost ready, and refused the refund, also not really making my boba. It has happened multiple times. I always need to wait for a really long time for my boba, but previously it wasn't that bad. They only need to make 4 boba in total... and when I pointed out that it's taking too long, they refused to apologize, instead they kept emphasizing how difficult they are. I really don't understand what's taking them so long. If the amount of people ordering Moontea/Wowtea/Mollytea place the order at Tea Moment, I'm pretty sure some people would never ever get their drink. But that's not going to happen, because the boba is expensive and not good. I think that's why Tea Moment is not as popular as Ume tea in the same plaza. Bad service, bad boba. Definitely a big change in ownership and the customers they're targeting generation wise and the guy seemed really open to feedback, which I thought was great. The boba while it might seem pricey at first is actually well priced given the portion sizes, fruit and other ingredients that easily go for $10-12-16 dollars in Palo Alto and SF. The ambiance is really nice and they have lots of other snacks and treats in the mini truck inside. I recommend coming out to hang here for a chill vibe.
