The Place was dead so we tried to make the best of it and stood. The Bartender Dariann was EXTREMELY unprofessional. For starts, my friend wanted a sweet drink and asked her for recommendations. well, she didn't have none, and not know her drinks. And as a bartender you should ramble suggestions of the top of your head. I had to suggest a drink for her. After about 3 rounds.. she and her co-bartender short male dark hair, started to ignore me and my friends at the bar and I mean we legit were WAVING at this point. DARIANN finally walks over and goes "why should I service you when You haven't tipped yet".with the most nastiest attitude. I replied back and said who asks for a tip?! biggiest term off.. she than replied back and said " I don't work for free" your right HUNNY because TEAK pays you. Not me. The last time checked, a tip is an option not a demand. I also dont have to tip you right away. I prefer to TIP when all said and DONE. Just like running a tab, you don't get it till the end. She then walked away and blew me a kiss and told me to go fuck myself basically. Then the male got involved and told us to "fuck off and go back to Staten Island" (I'm not even from there but okayyyyy). They refused us. When I asked I wanted to speak to the manger. The male said go "go fucking find him". They tried to get us kicked out with security and but jokes on them because they didn't & they agreed with us! We asked the security for the manger and was able to show us who the manager was. The manager Nico was a reasonable guy but has no b*lls and as a manager he should have told them to service our drinks but instead because it was SO dead they decided to close it down And stick to there workers. What happen to customers are right? like I said he was a reasonable guy because he said the next time you come back round on me. But truthfully Nico, I won't be back there. Another Fabulous Sunday Dinner!!! Beautiful Decor, Great Ambiance and Delicious Food!!! Upon arrival we were greeted by our hostess who seated us right away in a cozy corner of the restaurant. Our party of 9 was comfortable with ample elbow room. Light music was playing in the background allowing us to able to speak in our normal voices. Our waitress greeted the table with a huge smile and warmth. We started off with drinks and apps which arrived very timely. The drinks were flavorful and very balanced. The apps, let's talk about the "KFC", chicken was cooked to perfection, that bbq sauce was superb; in a blink of an eye 6 orders of wings only showed signs of the bones. The other apps were tasty too but nothing compared to those wings. Our entree arrived about 15 mins later which was great, allowing us to drink and settle down from the 1st meal. Dinner was delicious. Portion sizes allowed for left overs LOL. My party had no complaints on dinner and from what I could tell there was only smiles at the table. I personally loved my salmon with sautéed brussel sprouts. My salmon was cooked to perfection; medium, veggies had great texture and flavor. Recently visited Teak for dinner with friends. We ordered some drinks and enjoyed the ones we got. I loved the jalapeño margarita with tajín on the edge. We went earlier and asked about happy hour, but happy hour prices only apply at the bar area. We started with the French onion soup dumplings which were good, but drier than in the past with not much of the broth or onions soaked in the broth inside that I remember from last time. I ordered the pineapple fried rice with pork belly as an entree, which is always a great choice here. It's an up charge for the pork belly, though I really enjoy it here so always think it's worth it. The service was good and the server was attentive. We came at 5:30 and it wasn't super busy, but by the time we left around 7:30ish most tables and the bar was full. It's a bit louder but not too noisy for a conversation. I enjoy Teak because the food and drinks are good, but it's pricy. With drinks, one appetizer, two entrees, and one sushi roll, it came to just under $200 for three people. I enjoy coming here but for the price it's definitely not a regular place to go unless it's for just a drink or two. read more

Had a beautiful date night here outside on a Saturday evening! Teak had a lot of great options for where to sit with two outdoor patios, two dining areas, and two bars. The staff was attentive and friendly. I enjoyed a beer brewed in colab with a brewery across the street and my wife had a delicious mezcal cocktail. All the food was very good. We tried the chicken wings and french onion soup dumplings for apps - but I'm not sure I'd get either of them again. My short rib was cooked and seasoned well. I wish we had room for dessert! Some stand outs were; apps-The French onion soup wontons and the ribs were delish. We have dinner here before Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons concert at Count Basie Art Center, about three minutes walk from Teak. We were told to go one flight up, since we are walk-in diners. Only diners with reservations are allowed on their ground floor restaurant. I ordered their Teak Burger, well done. My wife ordered their regular Pad Thai with no meat, nor shrimp. The burger came out on a greasy bun. The one sliced of beef patty was grilled dry on its center and burnt around its side. It has a lot of mayo, two slices of tomatoes and lots of lettuce. It was improperly grilled and for the price of $17, its pricey! The regular Pad Thai had a lot of ginger in it. Maybe they got a big purchased discount on ginger? Not the authentic Pad Thai we were expecting, way far and no comparison to the authentic Pad Thai at Thai House Rock Restaurant, Avenel NJ. Its pricey at $17 for the regular order. Add $5 for added meat and $7 for added shrimp? The place is hip, good ambiance with bustling lounge and bar in both floors at the center of downtown Red Bank. I think the Asian food they make caters only to American customers taste. Service is fast and serving portions are fairly average. There was only one serving staff on the second floor where we dined that Saturday night. Clean separate Men and Women's bathroom. Overall, I'm giving them 3 stars. Two stars for their food presentation, ambiance and location. One star for the taste of food that we ordered. read more

Wow. This place did not impress me at all! As a lover of Thai food, I expected so much more and sadly; Teak Restaurant did not deliver. I came here on a rather quiet Saturday evening. My guest and I decided to head up to the rooftop to enjoy a gentle breeze while sipping on a drink (or two). For the appetizer, I ordered the crispy rock shrimp, which was okay. Honestly, it tasted as if the shrimp was reheated and sauce threw on top. We also ordered Teak pad thai and glazed salmon. I didn't enjoy the salmon much and would rate that a 3/5 - especially at $28 for something that was not worth it. The salmon lacked flavor and served with grapefruit. UH. The Teak pad thai was no comparison to other Thai places I frequent which was a let down. The white sangria was great! So at least I can say I drove 40 minutes for a delicious sangria ;) read more

Resturant appealing Host not pleasant Waitress very nice and attentive. We got their at 12:00 put our order in food came out timely. They did start to get busy I think she was the only waitress and did a great job getting to all tables. Ordered edamame dumplings delish ! Potstickers tasty and short rib empanadas really good. Sushi we ordered voo doo , geisha , and snowy white roll. Boyfriend felt rice was too mushy and one of the rolls that had salmon in it tasted fishy at the end of bite but we ate anyway. About an hour later we both felt nauseous. It lasted a couple hours. I hate that this happened because we were looking forward to coming back and trying more on menu. We shall see. read more

Came in here on a Saturday night for no apparent reason and didn't get any seats. Teak was bustling with people and especially with the club upstairs, it was loud and insanely crowded. Sat at the bar and ordered the yellowtail yuzu, edamame dumplings and Lotus buns, expecting subpar food because the reviews all claim the food to be average. The yellowtail was light and delicious, with cucumbers, jalapeño and microgreens that went with it perfectly. The Lotus buns were really tasty, and that's something coming from someone who generally dislikes pork buns. Mildly sweet Hoisin glaze and pickled cucumber really complemented it. And the edamame dumplings in a coconut rum sauce was the best of these amazing three dishes - creamy, with a mild touch of kaffir leaves (could be wrong about this), comparable to the they make at Buddakan (the gold standard of edamame dumplings for me, at least a couple of years back). Super thrilled to be so pleasantly surprised, especially when the reviews are mostly subpar. Maybe the dish selection was lucky, but each of these dishes was not only delicious but had a very high culinary standard. The club upstairs makes it loud enough that you have to shout to talk to the person next to you, which is something I tend to dislike, especially when dining. But I'll give that a pass because the food here absolutely blew my mind. Highly recommend (these dishes, at least). read more

What a place! We got sat right away, which was great on a busy Saturday night! The drinks were OKAY- not my favorite to be honest. The tequila brands they have are not my favorite (Milagro for example), so I would order a different drink next time I go. The Paloma was all tequila, and the Smokey drink my boyfriend liked but I did not. The food itself here is very good, and our waitress was lovely. I personally thought that the appetizers were better than the main course. The apps that I would recommend are the Lotus Buns (not pictures cause they were so damn good) and the French Onion soup dumplings. BOTH were to die for! The pineapple fried rice was okay- very dry. The drunken noodles are good but the book Chou made them very bitter, so if you're not looking for bitter, I would not recommend. The only thing I would complain about is that the lovely lady cleaning our table threw out my leftovers. The waitress we had apologized and took one of our entrees off (because she threw out legit one full entree) which was very nice of her, and I thought handled well. Of course, it was an accident! I love Teak! Ive been here numerous times with family and friends and every time its been great. My go-to dinner and drink is the poke bowl and the lychee cocktail. Their sushi is also great, i've had a few different rolls. I find this is a great place for groups with a few different dietary restrictions. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I came here last night for my best friends birthday. First and foremost, the way we were all treated at the end of the night was totally unacceptable by any establishment. There is no "different" perspectives on this situation, as several people watched and saw the same thing happen. The manager is lying on the yelp review response to Jessica Kowal. This was all our first time being at Teak's nightclub, and we were not made aware of any individual-use bathroom rule. When my friends went in together, the bathroom attendant (Samira) stood there and said nothing and saw it all. Second of all, the security guard forcefully grabbed my friend on her birthday without any explanation and threw her out. The manager in the reply is saying that they locked the door when they were confronted which is a total lie. The door was locked already because my friend was using the bathroom and was half naked. The security guard didn't come inside until after they were already in there together. There was no unresponsiveness to questions from my friend on any part, because no questions were asked of her. She was thrown out on her birthday with absolutely no explanation, and was not asked to clarify anything about the situation. As for the card situation, the Teak establishment told my friend that it was not an issue on her end, but that "the system is faulty" and does this frequently. This is why they gave us the bottle of Prosecco. My friend had enough money in her account- end of story. The manager continues to lie about the situation and defending his staff putting their hands on people who genuinely had no clue about a rule that they had. There was no safety concern at all, as we were complying with everything that the staff had done afterwards. We had been there since 6:30pm, and treated the staff with nothing but respect and compliance throughout the entire night. The security guard made an entire scene in the upstairs and downstairs of the restaurant, humiliating my friend on her birthday when she had no clue about a rule for the bathroom. As for our things and your protocol, no staff member brought out our things, and threatened to call the police after we tried to do so, my boyfriend had to go in and get it after having to explain the situation (seems sexist as well) I highly highly urge everyone reading this not to come here, as the way we were treated was absolutely horrifying and unfair. This whole place is a joke, robbed us of a fun experience for my friend, and has left her no explanation even though she emailed them explaining the situation and expressing her concerns. Extremely upsetting and she deserves so much better than to be treated like that by a place like this. A quick side note as well, it seems as though this isn't the first time they've wrongfully removed people from the place. Other reviews show this happens frequently. We went there for my birthday last night- an absolute shit show. Not only did they add an extra charge to my bill, they swiped my card 5 times without letting me know that it declined the first time, and got me locked out of my bank account. More importantly, they kicked me and my friend out for being in the bathroom stall together. First they say they kicked us out because we were doing drugs (untrue), then they said we got kicked out for being in the stall, and then they said we got kicked out for "intoxication". Pick a damn story lmao. I'm not sure what establishment allows their security to be so rude and put their hands on a small girl who made an innocent mistake. They caused an entire scene too. Not once did I refuse or get combative, so I'm really unsure why the scene was necessary in the first place. The owner can say all he wants to cover his a**, don't believe a word he says. Save yourself some money, time and self-respect and do not come here lol. Like I said, my birthday was ruined. I put my trust in this place because I've been coming for 6 years. Ryan would grind the mint leaves but no I got one mint leaf floating in my drink. I want to give more stars because the food is very good and we had a great server but there were two big drawbacks. 1.) We arrived at 5:30 and asked to sit in the restaurant by the open windows because they open all the way to almost make a patio effect. We were told that was for reservations only so we had to go the true patio for outside seating unless we could eat in 30 minutes for the 6 pm reservations on those tables. We took the patio but watched and by 6:45 when we left, 5 of the four top tables in the reservations section were never seated. Seems like 5 tables as no shows is extreme so we felt that it was mismanaged. 2.) Prices for some items are way too high. 4 dumplings $14? Noodles $20? They were good but that is outrageous. I had a 6 o'clock reservation last night for dinner. This was my first time at this restaurant. I was seated at one table and the sun was glaring from the window into my face. I asked to be moved to a different table. Once again the sun was shining in my face. I had dinner with my sunglasses on despite being inside. The restaurant was so so loud my head was throbbing by the end of dinner. I had a salad and shrimp and they were above average. The sushi was average. Drink was very good. Went on a Saturday night and sat outside on their patio. Very nice, weather was perfect. I felt very safe. Tables were adequately spaced. They also have a large tent on the side that was very large so they are able to accommodate lots of people. Servers seemed very conscientious and wore their masks appropriately. My friend and I ordered the edamame dumplings. This isn't something I would typically try but I have to say they were wonderful! I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the soy braised short ribs for dinner and they were amazing! Soooo delicious. The dish comes with green beans and mashed sweet potatoes. Even the green beans were delicious! My only complaint is that they were not serving dessert for some reason. Maybe because of the coronavirus, although I don't see the reasoning behind this. What happened to this place? It was terrible. We ordered small plates which came out in about 4 minutes which is never a good sign. The calamari was not crispy, it was obviously sitting around, the bang bang shrimp barely sauced. Korean tacos were dry and bland. Then steak came out which was opposite, so salty almost hard to eat. We started with the sunshine roll, the flavors were definitely intense. It was good but almost too overwhelming of an after taste. I ordered the salmon and it came with cauliflower. It was decent nothing crazy good about it.. I could have gone for some rice or something else on the plate. My drink I ordered was pineapple jalapeño margarita and that was tasty.
