I came here for the 1st time last night. I'm soooo excited about all of their vegetarian and dairy free options! My drink was amazing, a Taro almond milk boba. 5 stars for the owner and staff too! Kind and cool people. Tina heard me say I love all these veg options and she brought me out some tofu. It was my sister's 1st time too, and she said the shrimp spring rolls were really good and fresh. If your order takes longer than fast food it's because they make it fresh! Brought in for lunch by a friend. I have to admit I never thought of a tea place for lunch but I was pleasantly surprised. The young man at the counter I believe his name was George greeted us upon arrival. He was very knowledgeable when asked questions and provided excellent customer service. I don't like businesses that don't follow their own business hours. Here on Yelp it says open until 8pm. When you go to the establishment they say only open until 7pm. But if you arrive before 7 and try to order anything they tell you they closed the kitchen down a long time ago. What's the point? Either you are open or you aren't...... adjust your business hours appropriately so customers don't waste their time trying to go there and DONT close down and clean up before your closing time. The time you close should be the last moment a customer can order, it shouldn't be the time you expect your staff to have the place broken down and ready to turn off the lights. We have tried SO many times to go here lately and we get turned away well before 7pm (even though they should technically be open until 8pm according to Yelp). It's such poor business practice. We used to really like coming here in the past but probably won't waste our time anymore. Edit to add: showed up tonight a 6:25pm. Signage turned off except for the "open" sign. Most of the seating area is broken down, chairs on top of tables and an employee is mopping up for the night. Thought we would be turned away as usual but it looks like the owner is sitting there in there so my husband was allowed in. He noticed that the portion size of food is significantly more when the owner is present which was interesting.... My husband ordered the spring rolls and easily received double the amount of food he usually gets(when he's allowed to order). This place confuses me so much. The food is good but the way it is being run doesn't make sense at all. I assume they must get a vast majority of their business right after school or something and the evening crowd just doesn't bring in much money. read more

Love this place! Just moved to Gilroy and have been coming here couple times a week. Would have gladly given 5 stars, but ordered on Yelp and couldn't get my rewards points! I ordered a tofu banh mi sandwich with everything and jasmine green tea. Everything was very good. Staff very friendly. Unfortunately they were very slow in getting my order. I believe it took close to 1/2 hr. From what I could hear they were getting another fryer. Seemed a tad bit unorganized in the food service area. But I will definitely be back. Most restaurants will give you another drink if you accidentally spilled/ drop it. Not this place. My daughter walked out of this place and the drink slipped out of her hands out front. as someone that grew up drinking boba in the south bay, i wouldn't say this boba shop is up to par with them... to compare to a normal chain boba such as quicklys is accurate. honestly, it was one of the worst boba shops i've ever tried and it says a lot because i tried a lot in my life. the rainbow jelly tasted a little funky, the honey boba that i paid 0.75 cents for doesn't have a good chewy texture. for the price of the drink being $7, it really was not worth it... i had high expectations especially this is a highly rated boba place here in gilroy. whoops read more

So this is our go to place in Gilroy for milk tea. The owner is super nice and they go above and beyond to make sure that your drink is right. Place is nice and clean. Been coming here for a while and this was review was overdo. They have expanded their menu since we first started coming here. My go to drinks are taro milk tea (with soy milk), 50% ice and 50% sweetness with crystal boba or roasted oolong tea with peach flavoring, 50% ice and 50% sweetness. My husband gets their avocado smoothie (made from real avocados). Kids typically get some type of fruit smoothie. Plus added benefit, parking is easy. read more

They have pretty decorations everywhere, definitely makes you feel welcoming. The menu was a little small but I got the basic green tea with aloe Vera, and my mini got the OG milk tea with boba. We also tried the garlic fries which had a few sprinkles of garlic lol and we got the popcorn chicken which I probably will never get again. It tasted really chewy, ehh not feeling it. I am so excited we have a decent milk tea/boba place in Gilroy!! We moved to Gilroy about two years ago from San Jose and really miss having a nice boba place to go. TeaLeaf definitely hit the spot for my cravings. We got the taro shake with some basil popcorn chicken and both were very yummy. Restaurant is very clean and the decor is modern and inviting.
